5-0 out of 5 stars Loved this CD!
This CD was so awesome! Compared to the last CD, this one has better songs and music. I also found it easy to dance to. The only thing is that It's Over and Charish the Moment weren't their (the Cheetah Girls) style. Other than that, this CD rocks!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great cd
I'm actually 16, I just wanted to use this instead of signing in. This cd is GREAT!!! The songs are mostly upbeat except for It's Over. It's also a great cd to workout to, especially when you memorize the dances from the movie and then do them like I did. The first cd was a little corny and had corny songs, but this cd is WAY better!

5-0 out of 5 stars I love that CD
In only 6 weeks, this CD has been certified Gold by RIAA!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars To say the least.....brilliant.
DO NOT EVEN QUESTION THE NEED TO BUY THIS CD!!!Seriously, unless you've just spent the past year living on mars (PS, welcome back), you could not have escaped the worldwide hoopla that has surrounded High School Musical. This sort of thing happens for a reason! This movie, is almost entirely faultless, even in aspects that in other movies most would immediately point out and pick apart, because in this movie, it just works.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great, Awesome, Fantastic!
This is a very very good movie. My friends and i can sit watching it over and over again! The songs are very fun and i seam to be singing them all around the house!I think they have a very good cast! This is the best movie ever!! :-)

1-0 out of 5 stars Dorky!!!!
This movie is so dorky! Zac Efron literally can't sing! This guy named Drew Seely's voice was"blended" with his. And Ashley Tidesdale's voice is so whiny and annoying! This movie came out in Jaunary-february and it's still all anyone talks about! Zac efron and ashley are on the cover of ALL TEEN MAGAZINES! If u get a tigerbeat or bop magazine, basically every article is about someome from hsm! This movie is overrated and dorky and childish at my school! Nobody likes it! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars To Expand Your Musical Horizons (Or At Least To Expand Mine)
I adored this CD. Being a huge Gilmore Girls fan I asked for this for my birthday as I had no money, and have not regretted it. I can listen to it over and over without getting sick of it, and I never want to skip a track, though I have my preferences (Clear Spot, One Line, I'm The Man Who Murdered Love, Human Behaviour, Where You Lead I Will Follow, I Don't Mind, It's Alright, Baby, God Only Knows). I was pleased to hear that I agreed with Rory on Child Psychology - I liked it because it made me 'gloomy'. I also love Sam Phillips and the 'la-la' music from the show, and the cues make great transitions on this CD, just as they do in between scenes. I'm ashamed to say I hardly knew any of this music before watching Gilmore Girls, but this CD has made me want albums by every artist on here, so that's probably what my next birthday list will consist of.

3-0 out of 5 stars Our Little Corner of the World: Music From Gilmore Girls
The CD provides the themes heard on Gilmore Girls and that is interesting. However, I was looking for something more such as music referred to by Lorelai, Rory and Lane. As an example, it might have had "Shadow Dancing". It is not a CD I would RIP to a hard drive for inclusion with an evening of music. I would have a hard time playing the CD more than the three times I have played it.
4-0 out of 5 stars Gilmore Girls Rock
I loved the CD. The main reason I bought the CD is that my 8 month old daughter loves the music during the episodes. I own the 1st 4 seasons on DVD and we are just about out of shows to watch. She loves the opening song and the closing credits. The only thing I was upset over was that the closing credits were not on the CD. Otherwise, it is a CD that will rock in our household for years to come. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD!!!!
I love Scrubs. It is both poignant and hilarious. The soundtrack just reminds me on what a great show Scrubs is.I love all of the songs. Some of the songs are a little melancholy, but so is the show sometimes.I would recommend buying this CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Never gets old!
Wow - this soundtrack is just a delight. It captures the variety of moods and feelings found in each episode of the show, as well as showcases a number of wonderful artists and songs. This album gets a great deal of play on my iPod, particularly the songs by Colin Hay (a favorite!) and "Hallelujah" by John Cale. The songs capture the poignant moments on the show, and recreate those moments within the listener. I highly recommend this album, whether or not (but especially IF) you are a fan of the show.

4-0 out of 5 stars review!!!!
im a huge scrubs fan, but i became interested this soundtrack mainly 4 de theme song, i'm no superman. however it was reading the other reviews that people wrote which made me actually buy it. it is as was stated a really nice easy listening album,if your into the likes of jack johnson as i am its definitly for you. all the songs arent slow and similar sounding though which is great. also a few songs thrown in that came as a surprise when you listened because you would know it to hear but just have not recognised it by the name! in all its a really great cd, well worth the money! ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Wide range, Good listening
Yeah, we all know it doesn't have the Hero of Canton song on it, but the only time they recorded that song was while they were filming. You can find it sometimes online, but it'll still have the voices of the actors in the foreground.
4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty much for fans of Firefly.
I don't think I really need to go into details that this soundtrack is pretty much just for fans of the series, if you've seen Firefly you know to expect the same beautiful and sublime music that you can find in the series. If you've never watched the series before please just stop reading this and go rent the Firefly complete series DvDs.

Best of SchoolHouse Rock! Audio CD: Original titles from orignial recordings. Also recommended for those car rides where you can sing along with your kids. My oldest has not been exposed for a week yet, but already can sing several in parts. Rating: 4.5/5
5-0 out of 5 stars Schoolhouse Rock STILL Rocks!
I loved it as a kid, and now my kids love it -- they're going into 2nd grade and kindergarten soon, so neither has any real understanding of government, grammar, etc., but they sing along with most of the songs, and I think when they start to learn these things in school, the songs will make it easier for them. They're fun, they're catchy -- sure there are a few favorites that aren't there, but almost all the other ones will keep you humming through your day :)

5-0 out of 5 stars View from a trumpet player...
I got a good laugh at the reviewer who advised listeners looking for "feel good triumphant trumpet" too buy Aaron Copland's music. That's rich! And it is actually very good advice. In Aaron Copland's universe the piece "Quiet City" is not too far from the new Battlestar's mood.
5-0 out of 5 stars awesome
great soundtrack, very original pacing, style, really adds to the sombering darkness of the series and great to listen to as you work on something... dark and somber

4-0 out of 5 stars Haunting Score
Bear McCready (composer of the regular series' music) took many of Gibb's leifmotifs from this score, and for good reason. The Miniseries score begins eerily with the "Cylon" chiming, then progresses into a Galactica main theme (which is unfortunately not used at all in the regular series). The main theme is most dramatic in the the track, "The Storm and the Dead," complete with vocals. It's not your everyday "space opera" Wagnerian music; people who like that stuff should look elsewhere. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Even better than Vol. 1
Volume 2 of the Soundtrack for "Six Feet Under" simply blows Volume 1 out by going a step beyond what its predecessor did. Incorporating a balanced combination of the best of the indie world at the time of its release (Death Cab for Cutie, The Arcade Fire, Interpol, etc.) with a handful of recent classics (Radiohead's "Lucky" and Coldplay's "Rush of Blood to the Head") and an opening track by Nina Simone from 1965, the album brings great memories from an even greater TV show that we will miss sorely.
4-0 out of 5 stars A Solid Soundtrack
Nice CD. I always liked the effort the producers upt into choosing music for the show, as music helps immensely in creating emotions. All of the other reviewers' comments were right on the money with regards to this album, and I am happy I own both volumes of this soundtrack (Wish each season would have released a collection, but I guess that hardline aficionados can piece together their own favorites...) Sorry to see the show end, but alas, Everything Does.

This recording makes you feel like you live in the 1860's. It's authentic and just beautifully made. One of the many reasons for the greatness of Burns film was the music as the photos were being shown. This soundtrack is proof. A must have for fans of the series and Americana .

Editorial Review

Anchored by a muscular, yet funky live version of Gavin DeGraw's theme song "I Don't Want to Be," this collection of music from -- and, of course, "inspired by" -- the hit WB series walks the fine line between stock-in-trade teen musical angst and decidedly more AC-friendly fare with its dignity intact. Its emotionally charged mix-tape sensibility comes courtesy of series creator/producer Mark Schwan and his music supervisors, a team who showcase the earnest contributions of show star/troubadour Tyler Hilton (including a winning duet with co-star Bethany Joy Lenz covering Ryan Adam's "When the Stars Go Blue") amidst music that's often moodier (Travis' fine "Re-Offender," the languorous "Lie in the Sound" by Trespassers William) and more aggressive ("Shoot Your Gun" by UK trio 22-20s). Still, it's an album whose heart is tender, as ably demonstrated by The Wreckers' (a collaboration between Michelle Branch and Midwest singer-songwriter Jessica Harp) bright harmonies on "The Good Kind" and an inviting acoustic version of Sheryl Crow's Grammy-nominated "First Cut is the Deepest." 5-0 out of 5 stars Do You Like Buffy? If So...Get This CD!
When I first saw the "Buffy" episode "Once More With Feeling" It instantly became one of my favorite episodes. The cast displayed excellent vocals and Joss Whedon did an awsome job writing the music. The CD contains all of the music from the episode and more, including: Suite From "Restless":Willows Nightmare/First Rage/Chain Of Ancients, Suite From "Hush":Silent Night/First Kiss/Enter The Gentleman/Schism, Sacrifice (from "The Gift" and a cool demo of Somthing To Sing About with vocals by Kai Cole and music performed by Joss Whedon! All of which make excellent additions to the CD. All songs are actually performed by the cast of the show. My favorites on this album would have to be: I've Got A Theroy/Bunnies/If We're Together, I'll Never Tell, Rest In Peace, Walk Through The Fire, Standing. All of the other songs are also excellent but the ones that I think are the best.
5-0 out of 5 stars Sing alongs - yay!
Musical theatre person + Buffy fan = great CD! The songs are catchy, the lyrics are fresh, and it's inspiring to know the cast is ACTUALLY singing!

5-0 out of 5 stars Let's Have That Once More With More Feeling.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer Once More With Feeling. One Of the greatest soundtracks ever. And for that matter "Going Throught The Motions" was ok but the sound affect of Buffy slaying the Vampire at oww would have made it much better.Amber Benson (Tara) God can this woman sing or what.I meen just hearing her with "Under Your Spell".It brought a tear to my eye.And with Amber and Anthony singing together in "Under Your Spell/Standing".I thought the tears wouldn't stop flowing. They work so well together.James Marsters man o' man is that man a bloody good singer. "Rest In Peace".As the character Spike trying to let Buffy know how he feels about her it is bloody great.Xander And Anya with "I'll Never Tell".Well I take the fifth. Oh what the heck I laughed.I cried.I played it again. The rest of the CD is absolutely Perfect and I would recomend it highly to any and all Buffy The Vampire Slayer fans out there. 5-0 out of 5 stars Smallville,Vol. 1: The Talon Mix
If you are a Smallville fan, as i am you will love The Talon Mix.
4-0 out of 5 stars Smallville Volume 1
Out of the two soundtracks, this one is the best. The mixture of songs has the feel of the show. There are about 5 or 6 songs that are the best. I was a little disapointed by the lack of extras in the inset, but if you have the boxsets, then this id not a major thing.
5-0 out of 5 stars We love this series!
This show is good for the whole family.Sometimes my 6 yr old daughter gets a bit scared by some of the "powers" the people have but we talk about the realities of it.The characters are great and the music is wonderful. We love sitting down to an episode each night here and there versus random tv shows. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Album Review
To match all its quirkiness, the show "Six Feet Under" found the perfect pairing of music to go hand-in-hand with its woven tapestry of the continuing saga of the family-run funeral home business. Whomever was responsible for selecting the particular bands and musical cuts they used, and the ones that made the album, worked as much magic as those who wrote the witty scripts!

4-0 out of 5 stars No Better Songs To Die To
"Six Feet Under" was a TV rarity - consisently funny, but still emotionally involving, with stunning acting, brilliant visuals, a unique and odd subject, clearly defined characters, and excellent writing. Now, we can add "amazing soundtrack" to that list.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nostalgia for Gen Xers
Sometimes, covers of old songs and attempts to modernize old childhood favorites just fall flat. This isn't one of those times.
3-0 out of 5 stars I prefer the original artists
I bought this by mistake thinking the songs were performed by the original artists. I think you can only hear the originals by getting the dvd. I was pretty bummed at first but my child loves this. My only complaint is that you can't understand all of the words so some of the educational value of the songs is lost.

4-0 out of 5 stars I laughed I cried, I give it four stars
Making a cover album is difficult, you'll almost never please the purists who loved the original. Putting together a compilation CD with various artists adds the problems of uneveness in style and talent. Do do all this with School House Rock songs seems really hard. To review this CD is almost as hard. Most of us of "age" loved these songs when our musical tastes ran more toward Sesame Street (or insert your tastes here, the point is our tastes have evolved). The fact that so many people still like these songs is a testament to the originals.

5-0 out of 5 stars Music in a Western Mood
Other reviewers have described this CD of music from Deadwood's first season in excellent detail, so it's enough for me to say that this collection is beautiful and evocative, plaintive, tense and saucy by turns.

5-0 out of 5 stars Deadwood score hits dead on!
"No law at all..In deadwood.is that true?" 5-0 out of 5 stars Must have for that Deadwood junkie!
An excellent representation of the first season of Deadwood, fine music and dialog from the series.
