5-0 out of 5 stars Another great addition to my growing collection!
I've always been eccentric when it comes to my music. So when I have a craving for something outside of the mainstream, I get my hands on stuff that my family and friends would never buy.Anime soundtracks are a recent addition. (If I hear one more singer that's been culled from a reality show I might hurl!)
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent *****
Every song on this CD is great.I would definately recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars A brilliant soundtrack for a beautifully imagined series
Well the title says it all. I bought the soundtrack after buying Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex. As well as containing the songs in the title and credits (Inner Universe and Lithium Flower respectivly) this album contains a whole range of music used in the series. It varies from a quite mechanical rocky sound to some very smooth mellow pieces. I also quite liked the inclusion of Get9 and Rise at the end, both TV versions so shorter but still very good. I would say that if you found yourself thinking "this is good music" as you watched the series then buy this album. Of particular note (my favourites) are Lithium Flower, Inner Universe, Some Other Time and Velveteen.

3-0 out of 5 stars Hug your pillows girls
THe only reason I am writing anything about this album is because it contains the Odyssey by Incubus, and its probably some of their best work and will go down as their most unnoticed. While the rest of your nerds are huggin your pillows at night thinking about your video games and the "gnarly instrumentals" on this album you sit there and bash Incubus' work. The first track by them, Follow, is not all that great however it was re-released on an additional cd with their Alive at Red Rocks DVD and it sounds sooooooo much better on that cd (with some real lyrics)But after listening to the Odyssey I was really hoping this to be a new direction for Incubus, a more proggressive/conceptual sound.Whether this is the direction they go on with their new album is yet to be heard. Its a shame that this work will go unnoticed, and the only reason it will be that way because a bunch of losers decide to try and impress people with (what they think) is a sense of music just because its of a classical nature.Yes, the rest of the music on the album is amazing, and I give big ups to its composition, but come on people, show some love to good music when its presented to your faces.

5-0 out of 5 stars best video game soundtrack ever.
i understand that many people are a bit angry with breaking benjamin and hoobastank being in here. i'm not particularly happy myself with the last track, but i think contemporary music is appropriate here, albeit lyrics may not be the greatest form of expressing the mysterious feeling behind everything. i think o'donnel and salvatori have what it takes to compose a score of music, but it's not a score, it's a soundtrack. i found that if you don't like them you can just skip them. the second to last track is a great way to end the soundtrack.

5-0 out of 5 stars classical music listeners stop complaining
The worst part of this album was songs with lyrics (breaking benjamin, techno, hoobastank)...i dont understand then why people are upset with the incubus - follow has one word the whole song (two if you count "yeah") and their instrumental songs are brilliant, floyd-esque at times.for those of you reading others criticizing this album, ignore them, ignore the three bad songs on this album, and purchase it and enjoy it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great set list.
I've been a fan of Samurai Champloo for a while now, so I kinda knew what to expect from the soundtrack. It's great to hear the full length songs, when on the show, you only get a 10- 15 sec. snippet. I do live sound in a Jazz club, and play the soundtrack during set breaks, and all the time people are asking me what I'm playing. If you like "chill out" or downtempo I would highly recommend it.

5-0 out of 5 stars The good musics to the good anime
Well, what else! If you like Samurai Champloo on TV, it's also thx to the music! And when you'll listen to the soundtrack, you'll remember the fun to have seen SC, and it's really nice to remember...

5-0 out of 5 stars For the true samurai

4-0 out of 5 stars As anything can be, better, but still exceptional
I have been through Final Fantasy since it's debut on the Classic NES.I'm gone through the entire series and have played FF1-FF6.I'm just starting VII, VIII, and IX.I have played X and throughout the entire series of Final Fantasy Music, this is one of the best.
5-0 out of 5 stars As expected...
I am a very new FF fan and just recently purchased the Final Fantasy X [2004 Bonus Track] and found that the tracks were superb as expected, unfortunatly the two tracks in them were the Korean version rather than the Japanese, that however is not a dissapointment to me personally, for the tracks are as good as they come.
5-0 out of 5 stars final fantasy X has outstanding music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have played through ffx many times and one thing that I always remember afterward is the amazing music and orchestral phenemonons, especially in the exquisite piano pieces like; Zanarkand. If you appreciate classical music,r a fan of ff or if u want something truly captivating 2 listen 2 buy Nobou Umetsu's ffx soundtrack! it is really amazing and thought provoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A great mix of The Pillows past work
Hmm, FLCL, what a great way to start to become a Pillows fan.Without this amazing anime, I would never of met one of my now favorite bands.Though that's how many americans met them.
5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING
Knowing that there are probably not a lot of FOOLY COOLY fans out there I think that this soundtrack is AMAZING. The music in the series went perfect with the story. The music in the bacjround of a animated show should be uplifting and make you want to dance or hear it again. that is why I rated the soundtrack 5 out of 5. I also think it is a perfect deal for CD ADDICT and CD KING OF PIRATES, because byou would all the tracks from the show.AMAZING

5-0 out of 5 stars Power Chord guitar with a wild ride!
I tripped over "Fooly Cooly" on Adult Swim around 2:00am one night and thought that it was the wierdest things I'd ever seen. Now I've got the whole series on DVD. Even after watching it repeatedly, I STILL think it's one of the trippiest, acid-induced, wacked out, STRANGEST series anywhere. The visual style (and the plot line) is truly something from a seriously deranged mind. In other words: I loved it inside the first 5 minutes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding game. Outstanding music!
It doesn't really matter if you've played the game or not, this CD is a must. I played Riven and was amazed that the music topped that of Myst's. If you played Riven it would be stupid not to buy this CD. Excellent!!

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm rating the music, not how much of the music
This is good (in reference to the Myst soundtrack, in which (all of) the tracks are played differently (my mistake for my 4-star review, as well as Achenar's Cache not fading out in realMYST)), but it could be better (in reference to missing specific tracks, like Gehn's cannen's music and the music you hear in Crater Island's air vent to/from one of Gehn's offices)
5-0 out of 5 stars I am hooked! (even though I am not a gamer)
You know the world has changed since you last looked when films are not the only entertainment pieces to have a soundtrack. Video games also have soundtracks these days and the one by Robyn Miller for the game 'Riven' got me hooked non-stop ever since I first overheard it streaming from a colleague's cubicle at work.

A friend of mine was recently playing some gta:sa and I was really enjoying the soundtrack. At one point he got into a euro sports car and it was on some techno-ish station that had a DJ with a german accent. The first song that came up was this techno/bass driven song that I know I've heard before but I can't quite seem to remember who it's by... 5-0 out of 5 stars Another great mix of The Pillows past work
I already said a lot of what I wanted to say in the my review of the first OST (see that for more details) But, this is basically just a mix of stuff from their 5th album through their 8th one. They stil however cut many of the songs down, one being Patrica used to be much longer and with lyrics, it was from their 6th album Little Busters, and I'm pretty sure Nightmare was cut down as well. This is still a great way to be introduced to The Pillows and still shows their great variety, but the one reason to get this CD would have to be the song I Think I Can, which was espically made for this CD, meaning you can't find it anywhere else, this is the only album that The Pillows made with this song in it, and it is quite a good one (course all of them are aren't they?)
4-0 out of 5 stars It's Missing Something
When you buy this soundtrack you know that your buying it for 12 songs and not 17 because five tracks are Japanese Drama's which take up about eight to ten minutes a piece. You come to accept that they're not going to change the entire soundtrack for the American fans and you leave it alone. The problem comes in when the Drama's take up way too much time and some of the other songs are shortened to fit the disc so they won't have to waste cash on a 2 disc. I feel that fans all over would have been more excited to see five more tracks from the Pillows instead of those drama's. The dialogue is probably very good and entertaining but if you don't know Japanese there pointless to you. Great songs like White Ash are limited to only 1:19 and it is so good that you want it to be longer because when your really into it it goes off. 5-0 out of 5 stars FLCL great music for bad people
Well the FLCL anime series would not be what it is without its soundtrack. The Pillows' music compliments the weird and energizing tone of the series. Its always good to have an open mind when listining to this stuff. This OST is Brilliant ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best CDs I have ever heard
I don't like video games, but my brother introduced me to this cd and now it's my favourite CD right after Mezzanine by Massive Attack. This CD is amazing, it'll take you places, it's the soundtrack to life, it's the soundtrack for your mind.Amazing.

4-0 out of 5 stars AK47..
This CD is spine chillingly brilliant. Relighting memories of hiding in the shadows, and lurching out at your unsuspecting enemies. It's only once you have heard Amon Tobin's work, without being chased by an AK47, that you can really start to appreciate every aspect of this masterpiece. It makes you feel emotions that would never see the light of day in normal music. Simply outstanding! A must buy for a Splinter Cell fan, or for someone that has never played the game. You can't go wrong, in feeling something for this.

4-0 out of 5 stars Chaotic Indeed...
I love the title "Chaos Theory". Bit of a contradiction, innit?

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Music, proves why YokoKanno is on top of her league.
The music is mixture from blues, folk, classical and rock. It beautifully captures the essence of the show, and good music to listen to regardless whether you liked or watched the show. Definantly worth checking out.

5-0 out of 5 stars What Stray Wolf/Wolf Rider has to say
Stray- the coolest song EVER- exept for True Light- but that's another story. Stray Dominates my world. Steve Conte REALLY outdid himself! A wonderful song for a wonderfull anime. To bad they only put that song on this CD! Thay should put it on every one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Not too Shabby.
This album is easily recommendable to anyone who either enjoys covers or indie rock. If you see one band you enjoy on the track list, there's a good probabability you will enjoy the entire album. It is a good break from the norm. Maybe not for everyone, but it is worth a shot. Very cool.

5-0 out of 5 stars A nice jewel.Very Cool................
I like games.I like music from games....starting with Super Mario Brothers, the Legend of Zelda, to more modern ballads from Red Faction, Halo CE, to Rainbow Six 3.Of course I have never bought any soundtracks for a video game because that would be a sign of ultra-dorkdom.
5-0 out of 5 stars Very Well Done!!!!!
I'm not a fan of any of the bands featured on this soundtrack but I must admit they did a good job at covering these 50's classics. "Earth Angel", "Lollipop" and "Mr. Sandman" are just some of the standouts. Classic songs with an updated touch. Buy it!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Remember Myst with the music
Remember Myst without going there. That's what this CD does. Each time you hear a track you remember the place you heard it in. The music from each age is on this CD, if you heard it in Myst you'll hear it on this CD. The music isn't exactly the same as it was in the game, its longer and is really the versions heard in realMYST. The only thing the doesn't make it the soundtrack to realMYST is that it doesn't have the music from the Rime age. If you liked to music from Myst and want to hear it agene without playing the game, buy this CD!

5-0 out of 5 stars A must for Myst fans
I don't know why I waited so long to get this soundtrack. It brought back so many great memories from when I first played MYST.I loved it!I make sure to keep it with me at work to relax from all the craziness. The tracks are soft and soothing. They have an exotic feel to them to take you away to that beautiful island in the middle of a great sea.

4-0 out of 5 stars I'd love it if not played differently
Actually it's played differently at times; several of the tracks still seem to be played the same as they were in the original Myst. For those who like those versions, these tracks are:

This is a definite MUST HAVE for FB fans! The songs are just so soothing to the ear and the instrumental musics are just awesome! It really puts you in the mood! this is one CD which will move your heard and bring tears to your eyes... Another must have is 'Memory for You'!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME music!!!!!
My favorite CD ever! The music is so relaxing to listen to. My favorite song is "It Makes Me Want To Cry With Reason". The song fitted Kyo and Tohru perfectly in the last episode. You don't have to be a Fruits Basket fan to buy this CD. I'm sure anyone would like it!

5-0 out of 5 stars Fruits Basket music at its best...
The music in FB is superb and this soundtrack will have you loving the anime more. Ritsuko Okazaki (RIP) was a genius and expertly pulled off the emotions of the show through her music and lyrics.

"Gotta catch 'em all," shouts teen-popper (and 1999's Buckner & Garcia) Billy Crawford on this kid-phenom soundtrack. Engineered to capture not only preteen fans of the Japanese anime craze, but Top 40 listeners who might fall for singles such as girl group M2M's peppy "Don't Say You Love Me," it's loaded with familiar zillion-selling names such as Britney Spears, 'N Sync, Christina Aguilera, and 98 Degrees. A mixture of light dance-pop, innocuous romantic ballads, and "Eye of the Tiger" drama keeps things moving. G-rated through and through, the disc's nonstop chirpiness might eventually wear on parents' ears even as they acknowledge the catchy hooks. The younger set will love it without qualification. 5-0 out of 5 stars The most amazing thing I have for any category ever.
This is a Pokemon CD(duh).Like the other Pokemon CDs,it has pop music. As it might make your ears bleed if you don't like pop music, and but few songs are actully about Pokemon, this is outstandingly awesome to me.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing
Although some of the songs may not be as heavily-based around Pokmon itself as they are in the 2.B. A Master CD, the songs on this CD are still pretty catchy to any Pokmon trainers out there. The CD also comes with an awesome poster for the first movie; a must have for any Pokmon master.

i purchased this cd over 7 months ago and i still love it. the music is butiufly executed and fits well with the series i own alot of anime ost's and i recomend this one!

5-0 out of 5 stars Neon Genesis Evangelion
Very fast shipping, wonderful to work with! Item is excellent and so is the seller!!!
5-0 out of 5 stars Beatiful and greatly done music
Neon Gensis Evangelion Vol. I is my favorite among the set of three main soundtracks, the instrumental music is simply some of the best you'll find on any Anime Soundtrack, it only covers a small portion of the series, but it's definately the best portion.
5-0 out of 5 stars The 1st of Three Key Evangelion Soundtracks
This is "Neon Genesis Evangelion", the first of the three fundamental Eva soundtracks, with 23 tracks and clocking in at 58 minutes (and 2 seconds). This soundtrack covers much of the basic music heard in the beginning of the anime series. An excellent collection. EXCELLENT.

3-0 out of 5 stars WTF!?!
ok ok ok you do NOT make a GTA CD box with country music in it i mean come on. Mabye when your playing the game but i dont think its right to have one hole frickin' CD dedicated to country music in a GTA box. Also Radio Los Santos has to share a CD with Playback. Obviously the only reason your gana buy this is because of the great rap and mabye for the old school dance music you might share with your parents... NOT LOL!!!
3-0 out of 5 stars Incomplete.
That about says it all. Now I respect the quality products from Rockstar, although this isn't one of them. Why again must some of the best songs from the radio station be missed out again? I remember the days of Vice City, singing along to the tracks which were unavailable on the soundtrack when it was released separately. Thankfully not many were missed out and I was available to obtain them another way legally. However a huge amount are missed this time. I don't know if it's down to record companies or the artists not letting their songs be placed on or some random with a distaste for the public but one thing's for sure it certainly is inconvenient. Ah well, there's always next time.

Well well well. This is the uber game with the uber sound track right? In some respects it is, 8 discs, better cover art and more songs for almost the same price.Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, was a smash success for many reasons, one of them in my opinion was the inclusion of the music.I guess I'm a closet 80's music person since I didn't know much about it, but after that game I was out in the store checking out Flock of Seagulls albums.Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is a great game but I guess I'm not a fan of the 90's as I thought I was, especially music. The discs are set up like music cds, I miss the D.J. interface that Vice City had for each disc, made it personal in a way and the inclusion/exclusion of certain songs can be maddening.I mean why have "Welcome 2 the Jungle" on the commercials but not the ultimate soundtrack?Sure licensing issues aside, I enjoy the pack but again I guess I found out I'm not a 90's type music guy.The only big disappointment on the disc was K-Rose, the country disc.99% of the songs were not even close to that decade. . . Not to say I want *gulp* Acky Breaky Heart, but hey, it's the time not the quality of music.Good price for the amount of music but not the same for fans of the Vice City ultimate pack. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sublime and ethereal
Really i wanted to give it more stars if i could. This volume and volume 2 of the OST contain some of the most beautiful pieces I have heard in all anime music.Unmatched melodic creativeness and excellent orchestration, and oh the heavenly vocals, like angel's singing, dreamy and touching. No regret in this one!Absolutely worth investigating.

5-0 out of 5 stars No regrets
I've never heard of the series before I bought the CD, my only exposure is the ending title that I caught from the 1+ minute ending clip while I waited for the next show to come up. I found out the series is called Last Exile and bought both volumns (OST 1 and 2) from that 1 minute exposure. I have to say it's the probably the best $20 dollars i've ever spent. The track styles are varied, but all of them beautiful nonetheless. And as oppose to others who have reviewed, I actually like Skywriting. I didn't at first, but after watching the anime, it made quite an impression on me. Yes the English is bad, but I've heard worse. And it does grow on you after a while. Anyway, this is one CD that you won't regret buying.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Most Affecting Scores in Anime OST History
Currently, the Last Exile OST is fighting with Gungrave and Hellsing to be my favorite Anime OST ever.
