5-0 out of 5 stars THE BEST CD EVER!
AMAZING!1-0 out of 5 stars What a waste.
Kid Rock does one thing well, open the taps all the way and pour out the aggression. Unfortunately, he only does this once on this CD, with jackson MS. The only other track I even listened all the way through was Hillbilly Stomp. The rest is trash ... a bland and plodding failure to fuse rap, pop country and R&B. He seems not to understand the value of his own style, and his work completely falls apart when he tries to emulate others. Perhaps most pathetic are his rap-style self-promotion bits. If he'd just do his own voodoo, he'd have no need to tell anyone he's the man.

5-0 out of 5 stars Kid Rock does it again!
OK, ever since Devil, Kid Rock has rocked, but I've always thought that if yer gonna buy a Kid cd, get it edited, its amazing how much crap a guy can put in a songRead more

5-0 out of 5 stars one of their best cds
The Kottonmouth Kings blaze again on thier highly anticpated album, "Fir It Up." With a style all their own, KMK a sure to be around for many years to come. This album is sure to please both new and old KMK fans. An instant classic! As they have just begun work on thier follow-up to "Fire It Up," there is word that we could see some guest apperances from members of the Psychopathic camp. Is it possible that we will finaly here a collabortation from ICP and KMK? We can only hope so. There was also word that KMK are working on a song with The Game of G-Unit!buy this if you are a fan of underground rap. its great.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Kotton Mouth CD yet
This is my favorite Kotton Mouth Kings CD yet! I absolutely love it. If I had to chose a favorite it'd be number 14 - its like a love ballad to sex! Fabulous cd! KMK is great!

Great rap-rock for fans of Rage or Snot. Totally solid release.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good times with Rap-Rock
Injected is an album that you can't take seriously, and that's a good thing. My personal favorite is `Me `n Yer Girl.'I roll around laughing every time I hear the song.It reminds of my frat boy college antics. The rest of the tracks continue with the all out house party theme.Although the Phunk Junkeez don't get as much air time as the 90s Rap-Rock bands as 311 or Rage Against the Machine, the Junkeez are just as polished and talented. If you like this style of music, you will like this album. ... Forgotten Freshness Vol. 4, the 4th installment in the compilation releases ICP has put out throughout their career, is pretty fresh. There were some songs I wish they could have put on here, more rare ones ("50 Bucks", "Jacob's Word", etc.) but it's still fresh.

4-0 out of 5 stars Grab-bag with select highlights
If you saw the movie `3000 Miles To Graceland' then you know what kind of music to expect from its soundtrack. However, if you didn't see the movie, you'll be wondering what bands like [Hed]P.E. and Nothingface are doing on the same album with Elvis. And there's really no answer to that; other than that they were trying to boost the album's appeal. Most of the songs are featured on the band's full-length CDs and therefore only become enjoyable if you haven't heard them yet (i.e. Spineshank, [Hed]P.E., Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Crystal Method, etc.).The real gem on this soundtrack is the Elvis Presley classic "Such A Night", which you can now call a `classic' thanks to its appearance here. "Such A Night" really should've been the movie's theme, in place of the lackluster "Franklin's Requiem" (George Clinton). And since it's not featured on ELV1S 30 #1 Hits, this CD becomes a must-own for the diehard Elvis fan.5-0 out of 5 stars A soundtrack that is doing better than the movie?
I got this soundtrack as a Christmas present and this is one of the cds I wanted because of Such A Night by Elvis Presley was on the cd, and if the soundtrack didn't have the song on it, then I would not have wanted this cd. At looking at the 8 presious reviews, everbody that listened to this cd, liked it. But a whole lot of people didn't like the movie. The cd has two soundtracks, first is Vapor Trail and the 2nd is Franklin's Requiem. The soundtrack has various singers like (Hed) Planted Earth, Filter, Elvis Presley, Bender, Uncle Kracker, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Here is the tracks 4-0 out of 5 stars Praiseland for Graceland
This soundtrack is one of the best yet. Extremely good mix of music that correlate nicely with the contents of the film. The song that really makes the soundtrack incredibly, however, has got to be the song "bleeder" by nothingface. This is a band that, in my opinion, should be getting a lot more recognition than they have in the past. It's nice to see them finally get at least some recognition. ... Read more

These days entertainment is all about synergy and cross-merchandising baby, from the "free" toys at the burger joint to the pay-per-view rights, soundtrack CD, T-shirt sales, and cereal endorsements, et al. 5-0 out of 5 stars IT'S SO COOL
IT'S SO COOL. And It's Also A Great Collecter's Item For Any WCW FAN. I Have Been Watching It. And I Just Loved It. Every WcW Wrestler Is My Favorite.

3-0 out of 5 stars Guess who's back? The bad boys of wrestling.
This is a pretty decent combination of WCW entrance music and hard rock and rap songs. Some people will be disappointed that the CD isn't just the entrance music, and that the themes have been cut down to about a minute each. But let's face it, wrestling entrance themes are very repetitious, with usually one basic riff being repeated over and over again on a loop until the wrestler gets in the ring. The songs by the rock and rap artists here are generally better than the entrance themes. But the highlight is the late Curt "Mr. Perfect" Henning's rendtion of "Rap is Crap".

3-0 out of 5 stars Is That All People Care About Is Themes?
Alright, I've seen these reviews for this, and yes it bothers me too that the themes are not studio and long perfect but this CD as some good songs. Megadeath, Metallica, Kid Rock, Slayer, and Primer 55 are my favorites of all. I hate most of the rap songs cause I don't listen to rap that much outside of Eminem. Complain all you want about the themes but how about you listen to the WHOLE CD for a change. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Capitalizing on the recent commercial success of rap/rock crossovers, Loud Records volunteers their back catalog for the rock treatment on this surprisingly diverse new compilation. Ever wondered what the Wu-Tang Clan, Tha Alkaholiks, Mobb Deep, and Big Pun would sound like jamming with Sugar Ray, Sevendust, Incubus, and Ozzy Osbourne? Probably not, but the guitar-heavy pairings work surprisingly well. Vocally, tracks are split. Certified MCs show up on roughly half the tracks to retrofit their rhymes to the rock-out sound; on the rest, rock's wailers and grunters transform into microphone fiends. Everlast gives "Shook Ones Part II" a gorgeous, stripped-down acoustic feel, and System of a Down turns the Wu classic "Shame" into a mosh-pit screamer. Xzibit's gruff flow finds a perfect match alongside the distorted thrash of Endo and Sevendust. Though the bad moments are cringe-worthy, there's enough crossover appeal to win over rockers, hip-hop heads, and the morbidly curious alike. Read more

Rap rock died a bloody death. It had potential until Fred Durst and Kid Rock killed it.Rap rock is not a fusion of rap and rock... rather it's someone rapping over heavy metal music. This CD has novelty appeal, and some of the songs are interesting (The Wu-Tang stuff, the Dead Prez track). My biggest problem is that it doesn't even sound like some of these artists were even in the same room together. We'll record a Tony Iommi riff and Ozzy singing. Then we'll just send that track to some rappers who'll mix it and rap over it.From the previous reviews, it seems that this album appeals to the nu-metal rockers. As a fan of both rap, metal, and all music... I'd have to say it's pretty pointless for the rest of us.Dead Prez's 'Hip Hop' is a rap classic... and while I like Static-X, I don't really see the point when the original is so far superior.
5-0 out of 5 stars Mash Up's Predecessor
First off if you want to know about artist you're not sure of, before you by their CD's get this one... I'm an afficionado of Hard Rock/Heavy Metal (esp. Nu Metal & Rap/Metal). A must hear for any S.O.A.D. fan is "Shame" (w/Wu-Tang Clan), Static-X it's all about the "Hip Hop" (w/DP), Sevendust "What U See is What U Get" (w/Xzibit) and Crazy Town taking their "Only When I'm Drunk" to another level (w/tha Alkaholiks). Though these bands were insightful for me to buy this, I was quite amazed with Endo's "Los Angeles Times" (w/Xzibit). No true Rap/Metal fan would want 2 be without TAKE A BITE OUTTA RHYME \ TOO LEGIT FOR THE PIT \ JUDGMENT NIGHT -SDTK \ nor LOUD ROCKS!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Loud Rocks, does just that.
I got this CD when it first came out a few years ago, it was actually a fluke that I got it.I thought some of the songs seemed like they would be great, and I found out that they did.I am NOT disappointed with this cd, and I will never be.

5-0 out of 5 stars The one CD I wore the back off of
If you were to ask me, "What CD has left the biggest impression on you over the years?" I would say quite simply, Incubus' Make Yourself. Make Yourself is one of the most diverse pieces of mainstream rock music I've ever heard. Songs such as Make Yourself and Out From Under brings all the intensity you could imagine this band has to the table. Songs such as Privilege and Pardon Me are hard driving rock songs that are completely memorable. Then there's songs such as The Warmth and I Miss You that are just so emotional and carry such a strong message that it's hard not to be a little bit touched. That's why Incubus has remained at the front of my favorites list.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice pick up... especially ay $0.01
I originally bought this album after hearing Mr Jinx on Madden 03, after a few runs of the album I started to really enjoy it. I am a huge Rap / Metal fan and this album falls very much under the rap category. Very similar style to Beastie Boys each song has its own strengths and this is one of those albums you have on random play etc when you have people in the car or people come round, it's what I would call a head turner people always want to know who is singing.
4-0 out of 5 stars Cheesy rap metal which at least has a bunch of "good", yet cheesy, songs - "Mr. Jinx" is a pretty good song though
"Jinx" is most definitely a very cheesy rap metal album, but Quarashi at least fills it with a bunch of relatively enjoyable tunes. The reason I gave this a "4" is because of the song "Mr. Jinx" which is actually a very good tune (and better than the hit "Stickem' Up"). The "rappers" are pretty subpar in their charisma and charm, but they aren't terrible per se. The songs are catchy enough that you'll stickem out to the end. They're extremely forgettable, but pretty fun while you're listening to them. The only song that will stick in your head long after you've listened to this is arguably "Mr. Jinx" (though "Stickem' Up" and "Baseline" comes close as theyre extremely catchy). The lyrics are pretty subpar - they're merely an excuse to have a singer and catchy lyrics. If it weren't for the fact that there were so many catchy-yet-stupid songs here then it would've gotten a much worse rating. However, if you're interested in rap-metal that's relatively good, then "Jinx" might intrigue you. You should be at least satisfied if you got this album, at least if you knew what you were getting yourself into. Slightly recommended.
4-0 out of 5 stars The Best Beastie Boys Album in Years:
Hailing from the land of Bjork and Vikings, Iceland's Quarashi mix one part Beastie Boys (circa "Paul's Boutique"), one part guitar-laden techno and one part quirky Icelandic eccentricity on their amazing debut "Jinx."

Do not buy this album if you expect every song to be like "follow me", but if you like rock, country, and a little hip hop this is the perfect combination. I was very surprised I did not expect the album to be this good. I had never heard rap over a harmonica before, but not only does he pull it off he almost creates a whole new genre or sound. 4-0 out of 5 stars so amazon has the wrong album
well i hate to inform folks but the album amazon is selling is a shortened album. they are offering an 11 track album when really its a 13 track album.
4-0 out of 5 stars Nice return from OPM
California Poppy is another fine album by OPM. I really like the more organic style, which showcases all of the band members musically. The only negatives about it is that it`s too heavy with the smooth laidback songs and lacks the really catchy songs like Rollin`, Heaven Is A Skatepark, and Perfect Day. I love the laidback mellow songs as much as any OPM fans, but California Poppy would`ve been better if it had more uptempo songs like Lion`s Pride and Born Again Virgin. Still regardless California Poppy is a very good album. If you`re into more funky, laidback music to chill to, then this album is for you.

2-0 out of 5 stars Get "Alive 2" instead
Being a HUGE Anthrax fan, I decided to buy this 1994 live album from Anthrax. As many already know, Joey Belladonna was fired and replaced in 1992, so already you can tell this album's release was decided on by their old record company. It even has the name of the record company in the title!: Island. So how is the album?
4-0 out of 5 stars Island Records Cashes In
This low-priced live CD was obviously Island's method of squeezing one more album (and a few extra bucks) out of Anthrax after they'd moved on.At least they had the decency to get tracks from some different venues.
4-0 out of 5 stars Anthrax - 'Live - The Island Years' (Island Records)
I remember when I first got my copy of this disc,as I just assumed the label wanted to simply ca$h in on the Anthrax days long gone. This twelve track offering is rather decent, specially if you ever got to see the band when former vocalist Joey Belladonna was fronting them.Notable cuts include the opener "NFL"(remember what that stands for?),"Parasite",(still like seeing the video on VH1 Classic),their signature song "Indians","I Am The Law","Caught In A Mosh" and "Anti-Social".Opposed to all the long time Anthrax fans that SAY they like John Bush as their vocalist,I like Belladonna better.A good thrash metal catalog title.Great cover. ... Classic old skool Natas.Best rap group to ever come outta Detroit, and the hardest rap group ever, period. These guys are right on the game here. This is probably their 3rd or 4th best album, with Multikillionaire, Doubelievengod, and WWW.Com their other classics.Just because its not their best, doesn't mean it's not classic. The other 3 albums i just listed are ALL timeless classics. But back to this album, you must have it if you are acid rap fan. These guys deliver hard. They aint no h6rr6rc6re "chop off your head and use it as a bowling ball" crap. There ACID RAP.No other rappers can produce acid rap, so pick this up to hear the original, the greatest rappers from Detroit. All the songs are the classics, but my favorites would have to be Life After Death, Get My Head Together, Dance, Dancin' On Ya Grave, and Hellraiser. If you are fan of rap, get this if you ever come across it.Better than any of this commercial rap crap we hearing nowadays.

1-0 out of 5 stars Woodstock was supposed to be for Peace
Where did we go wrong in thirty years? We went from seeing a massive youth movement rally for peace, to having a youth so apathetic and angry and violent. Rapings, fires, smashing and destruction ..at woodstock? Are you kidding me?
1-0 out of 5 stars A Testament To How Bad Music Actually Got In The Late 90s
I would like to preface this review with the comment that I do not and will never own this compilation. "Woodstock 99", that ironic and ultimately tragic attempt to cash in on a counter-culture brand (think John Lennon in a Nike ad), sent out the 90's in a literal blaze of anger, rape and profiteering. Apparently, Altimar 99 didn't have the same ring to it...
3-0 out of 5 stars sex,drugs,rock&roll.........at a price
woodstock is about peace ... not rape and death . the first woodstock is thought to have been the biggest peace demistration of all time that helped bring a end to the war in 'nam , and it was this disgrace that changed that !

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay!
Most of the reviewers were probably fans when this came out, I'd just like to note that you can find this enjoyable to some extent even if you weren't paying attention in the early 90s.
5-0 out of 5 stars The greatest album from Urban Dance Squad
I think this is a great album and probably their best. I'm surprised it did not make it commercially because there are a few tracks that could of been radio hits. It's sad that they lost the touch that makes this album very special. Buy this if it's still available, you won't regret it.

3-0 out of 5 stars they RUINED ROUTINE!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Album
This is a pretty good album, but not as good as i was expecting. Don't get me wrong, this album is really good, but i was just hopeing for more, i guess. Anyway, juggalos will enjoy this album, great story-telling tracks.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not that great.
The story on this is great and some of the songs are kinda catchy, but this album just falls flat to me. I've never been a fan of Mike P. and his production just brings this whole thing down. Like I said, some of the songs are kinda catchy, but other than the first song, none of them are actually good. Shaggy, Twiztid and Blaze make some good guest appearance's as spin offs of the classic Wizard of Oz characters. Shaggy's new solo is much better, so I suggest picking that up as oppossed to this.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Is Our World
A compilation of rare psychopathic music brought out in 99, was brought out on Joe and Joey records because it had illegal and uncleared samples like Psychopathic Rydas cds.
5-0 out of 5 stars wow
i got this cd and though i'd heard most of the songs from online places i still loved it, its one of the best psychopathic records cd's ever... also rare. get it! mcl!

4-0 out of 5 stars A good CD but not a must have for all juggalos...
I finally picked this CD up after who knows how long & gave it a listen. This is the first installment of the Psychopathics From Outer Space series that features rare cuts from ICP & Twiztid. Upon buying it i knew it had some songs i already have on other projects but i still bought it just because i'm a juggalo & i wanted it for my collection. Overall, the CD gives just what it promises: rarities and new tracks from the Psychopathic team.

4-0 out of 5 stars STOP HATING, u Morons...
Does ANYONE on here know KID ROCK's history ??? He started off as a DJ, became HUGE in the Detroit area, THEN started rapping.
3-0 out of 5 stars hey idiots
Ok Ill Admit this isnt rocks best album but it was also made in 1990 you cant expect everthing to sound like 2pac ok and the guy who said if he came to my hood shut up cuz u sound rediculous and probly a white boy who wish he was blackandlive in some place like montana and probly cant even spit a verse without quoting other rappers and one last thoughtfor that guy kid rock has respect every were b**ch for the people who read these for info if u like 80s beats and the typical cheesy 80s lyrics this is a good buy if your lookin for eminem style try lil wyte PEACEMUSICMASTER

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I got nothin but love for kid rock (as a matter of fact, i think he's so fine!) and so much respect for his music, i think all his CDs rock...except this one. There's just way too much rap and barely any southern rock, rock and all of his other genres he mixes in his CDs. Im not a big fan of white rap b/c the white rock and the black rap but i do like his rap in all his other CDs. If you're thinking about buying this album- I HIGHLY recommend you buy "DEVIL WITHOUT A CAUSE", "KID ROCK" , or "COCKY". Those are my favorite Kid Rock albums. ... Read more
