5-0 out of 5 stars Great recording!!
Many people (such as myself) often judge an artist by their ability to perform their own works live and Sarah McLachlan doesn't disappoint. Her voice is beautiful throughout and there's just enough crowd noise and interaction to get the "feel" of being live without getting bored with it.While I would have preferred the track list that the DVD has, I was very pleased with the quantity and quality of her selections as well as the performances themselves. If there's one song I really wish was included, it would be Ben's Song, but aside from that, you get a great overview of her great career prior to Afterglow. It has everything from uptempo Sweet Surrender and Vox to slower tracks like Angel and I Love You and even includes the fun duet with her husband and drummer Ashwin Sood "Ice Cream" though in the future he should probably stick to drumming. :)
5-0 out of 5 stars Near Perfect Live-Album!
Though I'm usually not particularly fond of live-albums, this great album may very well be my favourite by Sarah McLachlan. It seems to me it has it all. Great vocals, a terrific band and some of McLachlan's very best songs; moreover the sound is as close to perfect you can expect from a live-album.
5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Listening Pleasure
What can I say that hasn't been said already?Sarah McLachlan is a gifted artist with a tremendous singing voice that's capable of touching the deepest depths of my soul.Take the song "I Love You" for example, this soft, slow, passionate song makes me close my eyes and dream about the love of my life every time I hear it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Live Acoustic
This is a raw, beautifully done live collection by Sarah Mclachlan. It's only Sarah, her piano, or her guitar. At first it came as a bit of a surprise, but after a few listens it's become one of my favorites of hers. I just love it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Pure Rock and Roll Passion
Let me start by stating that this is one of the finest Live albums I have ever heard, comparable to the Allman Brothers Band At Fillmore East. It's stunning to me that it was lost and never released. To this day Bruce and the E-Street Band remain tight professionals who can carry an arena or stadium as few can.But this, this is simply stunning. The raw passion and intensity behind both Springsteen's vocals and the band's jazz like jamming is just something I have never heard out of Sprinsteen. There are moments on this album that simply bring a smile to your face as yousay to yourself can they have been this good. Some moments like the remarkably intense "Lost in the Flood" or the unreal Spirit in the Night make you want to start clapping as you are listening to it.Like the Allman Brothers and certain other bands, the E-Street Band in 1975 makes you understand how ridiculous all the bombast or tongue wagging or faux metal licks really are. It's about the groove, the passion and the soul.Ironically, while Born to Run is by far Sprinsteen's greatest album, I find the best performances on this album are the earlier songs, the jazzy Kitty's Back, the funky "Hard to be a Saint in the City", the simply relentless Rosalita. But there is not one bad track on this album. If you don't like this concert, you simply do not like rock music.
3-0 out of 5 stars One of those moments in rock history that you gotta have
(I meant to give 5 stars... now it won't let me correct that.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!A Two-Hour Rock-n-Roll Explosion!
My only complaints are that songs I would have preferred to hear up-tempo (Kitty's Back and For You) are slowed down. But this collection is a live, greatest hits of the first three Bruce records ... the musicianship is second to none (they were as tight as Zappa's Helsinki concert on YCDTOSA V. 2), with amazing bass work and superb keyboards.I don't remember hearing Weinberg sound so powerful, nor Clarence Clemons so passionate or alive. All I have to say, is if this record were released after the concert, it would have beat Frampton Comes Alive as the top selling double album of all time, and possibly the best live record ever. It's that good. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Living Room Tour
Fantastic!!! I wish she was still on tour so I could see her in person.

4-0 out of 5 stars Extremely Annoying Clicking Sounds Throughout
Now that everything's been said in praise of this Living Room Tour double CD, isn't it about time at least one person mentions the extremely annoying clicking sounds at the end of several tracks which indicate the song's been cut short for the next one? Listen to the end of You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman: Even before Carole's voice is finished, there's a clicking sound and we're onto the next track. Do we blame Rudy Guess for this (Mixed by him) or Engineer Brandon Miller? More sensitivity, please guys!

5-0 out of 5 stars Musical magic by a true legend
I saw Carole King on the Living Room Tour, and I am so glad I did. It was just her, the piano, her longtime guitarist Rudy Guess, and Gary Burr, a very talented guitarist, singer and songwriter in his own right - in a "living room" kind of setting. That's it - just the three of them. This CD brings it all back - "Where You Lead," with Carole's daughter Louise Goffin, the rocking acoustic "Jazzman," the "Gerry Goffin/Carole King Medley" (LOTS of wonderful songs included - some I didn't know they had co-written), a great acoustic version of "Smackwater Jack," and a haunting "Now and Forever," which makes me cry every time I hear it. The only one missing here is "Been to Canaan," which she played the night I saw her, but otherwise, it's wonderful. No matter what some of the other reviewers here say, this is a great way to hear and see any musician - without the full band, in their living room, where it all begins. Thanks, Carole, for sharing this. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than Grandma's Featherbed !
This is the definative John Denver , cd. The double platinum album , " An Evening with John Denver " captures the essence and sound of ,the self-proclaimed ,good 'ole country boy , at his best , which is live. The interaction with his audience and the improv performances of his music provide this cd with a sense of awe and inspiration. There are plenty of signature songs and the most intriguing part is hearing the introduction to some of Denver's most beloved , future hits like " Annie's Song ". Originally recorded in 1974 , this live performance, is simply magical and each song can easilly become a sentimental favorite. " An Evening with John Denver " is the perfect cd to discover exactly what it was, that made him such a successful solo artist, and song writer. Recorded live , in LA , during the height of John Denver's career , the songs are performed with a sense of personal delivery and sheer exhuberance and energy. It is a very special cd and it will introduce you to the man behind the name. * One thing that is very noteworthy to notate , is that I bought the cassette version, before I purchased the 1992 cd version. I noticed that the, 1992 cd ,leaves out two very wonderful songs , that I really enjoyed on the cassette version. Those two songs are " Boy From the Country " and " Today ". However , " An Eevening with John Denver " was re-re-released in 2001 and those two songs reappeared. Regardless of this edit , and whichever version you purchase, " An Evening with John Denver " , engulfs you into a time capsule and takes you on a very special musical journey. Great listening for road trips !
5-0 out of 5 stars The Best John Denver CD ever!!!
Rocky Mountain High was my "FREEDOM" song because it came out the same time I got out of the army in 1972.I wasn't aware of John Denver until I heard that fantastic song, but I became an instant fan of his the first time I heard it.The song was so profound that I remember where I was and what I was doing when I heard it on the radio. I quickly learned to play "Rocky Mountain High" and a lot of John's other songs.I went to as many of his concerts as I could. What a performer!!!In 1994 I was fortunate to meet and talk with John at a NASA function at the Johnson Space Center.Wow.He sang "Looking for Space" among others that night.I was planning on seeing John in a concert a year later in the Fall of 1995 but work kept me from attending. If I had known John would be taken from us less than a month later in a plane crash I definitely wouldn't have gone to work. I feel John's songs will forever be popular because they are filled with love, joy, wonder and amazement.I just bought a new "Evening with John Denver" CD because my old copy wore out from constant play. This CD is one of the best CDs ever made. It's filled with humor and pure talent from one of the most talented songwriters and singers ever.God bless you John.A local musician and songwriter who reminds me of John is Shake Russell who sings from his heart like John did so masterfully.

5-0 out of 5 stars THE John Denver LIVE album
From FAREWELL ANDROMEDA to THIS OLD GUITAR, every track was sung with love. The great rapport that John Denver has with his fans are SO great. Listening to that album is like sittin' by a campfire with many of your best friends. There are no faults with this CD. Well maybe just one. The bonus tracks has some songs that were already included in the show, but others than that, the CD is PERFECT. I especially loved BOY FROM THE COUNTRY. ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH took me well above the stratosphe. I loved that part when he sang the last verse ("Rocky Mountain High......Rocky Mountain Highhhhhhhhhh.....Rocky Mountain Highhhhhighhhhhhhhh...dooo dooo dooo!!") I first bought this album in LP format way back in 1975, shortly afterwards, I bought the cassette and in 1993, bought the CD(less two songs..grrrr!!!) When the expanded version came out, all hell broke loose. I think I bought the first one out of the shipping box at the music store. It's something I'll always treasure. One for the ages. AN EVENING WITH JOHN DENVER belongs up there with ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND LIVE AT FILLMORE EAST. Nuff said. ... Read more

To say that Springsteen's live shows with the E Street Band were legendary is the height of understatement. 5-0 out of 5 stars Bruce Sprinsteen Live 1975-85
What a delight to hear Bruce from the early days. His interaction with the audience and storytelling make this a fantastic music experience and one any fan of Bruce will enjoy. Bring on the next 20+ years.

5-0 out of 5 stars Bruce at his best
I only wish that I could give this CD set the ten stars it deserves. Initially, one might flinch at the price, but it is well worth it. Bruce delivers each song with heartfelt urgency--you feel the energy as if you're actually there in the crowd, and the dialogue between songs is fantastic. (Try not to cry at the story he tells about his relationship with his father on the lead-in to "The River.")
5-0 out of 5 stars Because the Night
Great song. I love Patti Smith's version but this one's even better. That song alone is worth however much you pay for this album. Plus you get other rare gems (and great Bruce songs) such as Fire, Seeds and Paradise by the "C" (great title!), not to mention killer versions of Bruce classics such as Rosalita, Born to Run, Thunder Road, Badlands, Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River, Independence Day, etc. Whether you're a completist or a huge fan of The Boss (I fall in the latter camp), you really should pick this up. ... Editorial Review

A criticism that has long dogged Billy Joel's career involves his songs' direct, heart-on-the-sleeve emotional sentiments and a musical approach that often revels in pop music's past glories instead of reacting against them. Ironically, those are the very strengths of Twyla Tharp's dialog-free pop ballet based on Joel's infectious canon of music, including his recent forays into the classical realm. This live cast recording is fueled by the piano and vocals of Michael Cavanaugh, who, backed by an ensemble handpicked by the songwriter, gooses every last drop of drama from Joel's already theatrical songs with a verve worthy of the legend himself. But divorced from Tharp's always kinetic choreography, and despite angular reworkings of "We Didn't Start the Fire" and other Joel standards, it's a collection that sometimes sounds akin to Joelmania: not really Billy, but an incredible simulation. 4-0 out of 5 stars Saw the show - what a memory
I love Broadway and grew up on the Piano Man (no I am a Chicagoan and haven't yet seen anything on New York's Broadway). This show did justice to both an now I listen to the CD to re-live the event!

3-0 out of 5 stars Interesting Concept, But Originals Outshine
In anticipation of seeing this show, I picked up a copy of the cast cd.The orchestrations were crisp and Michael Cavanaugh's voice was quite good as the "piano man".Best Tracks include:
1-0 out of 5 stars Movin' Out CD: Why?
Who is this recording for? Surely not for Billy Joel fans, who would undoubtedly prefer Billy doing the actual singing. For that matter, why would anyone want to listen to 60+ minutes of Billy Joel covers? This is the most pointless cast album since Contact. Movin' Out is a similarly visual show the appeal of which lies not in Michael Cavanaugh's admittedly distinctive performance. It's no wonder you see used copies of Movin' Out is used records stores everywhere. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Concert DVD & CD combo
Sarah is a favorite of mine and I was thrilled to get to tune her piano & attend her Afterglow concert here in St. Paul two years ago, so this DVD was a great way to relive that FABULOUSLY AWESOME SHOW. The DVD also has nice extras like a backstage video/glimpse into Sarah's life, concert photos, etc.
5-0 out of 5 stars great CD/DVD, especially for us fans who are not concert freaks
It's a great enjoyment watching Sarah performance on-stage, wish I had been there. Her band is great as always. The way she re-mixed her songs just makes you feel like you are listening to her songs for the very first time.
5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing CD/DVD combo
This amazing CD/DVD set includes live tracks from Sarah's "Afterglow" tour in the Summer of 2004. The songs are from her Afterglow, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, and Surfacing albums. The cd has 15 tracks: Fallen, World On Fire, Adia, Hold On, Perfect Girl, Drifting, Push, Witness, Answer, Angel, Train Wreck, Building A Mystery, Sweet Surrender, Stupid, and Dirty Little Secret.

5-0 out of 5 stars JT Live is ALIVE
Those of us who are long-time JT fans have come to expect a certain level of care, craftsmanship, and recording excellence from his studio recordings. His last two CDs, Hourglass and October Road (as of this mid-2006 writing), are good examples -- the music is often controlled and sometimes subdued (and often up tempo and raucous), but almost always polished to a sheen.
5-0 out of 5 stars best review
I am a huge JT fan, and this double-disc set covers all the greats. JT, his band and the backup singers create a great musical masterpiece. I have seen him in concert four times, and this CD best resembles JT live. Highly recommend!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Album Contains My Favorite Music Moment Ever!
This entire album is excellent, with every track musically sound and enough different from the original takes to provide some interest and excitement. However, most importantly, there is a minute-long sequence on here that just amazes me every time I hear it.At the end of "Shower the People", they break into just vocal harmony amongst 5 people, and then a ridiculously talented back-up singer busts out an amazing, jaw-dropping solo.It still makes me sit back and say "Wow!"I wish I knew the guy's name so I could see what else he sings!

4-0 out of 5 stars Elton RAW
It is the raw sound of this album that first attracted me to it when I first bought it ages ago in Europe (under the heading 17-11-70 because of the different date headings they use). This was a concert Elton performed with just his bandmates, drummer Nigel Olson and bassist Dee Murray at a record studio in New York City. This is an electrifying set capturing the intensity of Elton's early performances, circa the famed Troubadour performance in LA in 1970.
2-0 out of 5 stars Fans can never be objective...
From the OBJECTIVE reviewer...Elton live is rarely a good thing. This CD is no exception and if it weren't for his better than average version of "Take Me To the Pilot" this wouldn't even get 2 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Jaw-droppingly good
I'm always stunned when I see this record treated as one of Elton's weakest efforts, because I think it is BY FAR the most exciting, explosive record he ever put out.As a professional pianist/singer/songwriter, this is easily the most influential record I own.(I've also heard that fellow piano-basher Ben Folds has said something similar.)All live records should be this good. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Don't Leave Before The Miracle Happens
Laura Nyro was stunning in every respect - singer, composer, performer. Nobody hung it all out to dry quite like Laura Nyro. Eli and the Thirteenth Confession is a landmark album, as is New York Tendaberry. This effort stands apart, a nostalgic tribute to the pop classics Nyro grew up loving.
5-0 out of 5 stars Blast from the Past
If I hadn't watched 'A Home at the End of the World' I would have hardly remembered LaBelle or Nyo. As it happened, it brought back floods of memories fro mmy youth and out came also the old Carol King songs to be listened to again.
5-0 out of 5 stars I remember buying this new...on vinyl ...back in the day.
I remember buying this as a new release...on vinyl and I still have it. This might not be everyone's cup of tea but if you are a Nyro fan, a Doo Wop fan, an R&B fan, a Blue-eyed soul fan, you will find something here to to love. (However, if you are a Labelle fan you will probably be greatly disapointed as they play the role of guest star back up vocalists, albeit with panache, before they became superstars.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Greenbaum's a Pompous Idiot
Mitchell was still at the hieght of her songwriting and singing when this album was recorded. It recreates her concert format of opening strong with a backup band, pausing for an intermission, followed by an acoustic (almost solo) set where the band eventually joins her one or two at a time working toward a rockin' finish which many purists at the time--and clearly some to this day--despised. Get over it. (It has been 30 years)
3-0 out of 5 stars Cheesy and caviar
M. Allen Greenbaum's excellent review mostly says it all for me. Apart from the other criticisms, yes, Woodstock is absolutely murdered: that bass riff is not just dated and inappropriate to the song, it is boring in its own right.
5-0 out of 5 stars August 17, 1974.....every time I play it.
Of all of the concerts that I have attended in and around LA, this was the one that leaves me with a smile and a tear. That it was Joni Mitchell, and the lovely lady with me. It was cold out, that night. This was when there was no roof over the place(Always thought that it lost something after the roof). Joni turned in a solid performance, along with the backup band.Considering how much she scaled back her live appearances after, it was a priviledge to be there. How much better the story would have been, had I married whom I was with. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Greatest Live Albums Out There
This album is by far on the greatest recent live recordings.Sheryl Crow demonstrates her influence and talent by putting on an all star show with some of the biggest names in music history.Sheryl shines on her own, singing some of her great hits, but it's the duets that really make the album. My least favorite has to be the Dixie Chicks just because I can't appreciate the country flare they bring to "Strong Enough" but it's still a great version.Chrissie Hynde, one of the album's highlights, brings intense attitude to "If It Makes You Happy", still one of my favorite Sheryl songs.Stevie Nicks remains Stevie Nicks, giving more than enough emotion and flare to her own "Gold Dust Woman."Sarah McLachlan's usually soft voice comes out strong on "The Difficult Kind" and compliments Sheryl's quite nicely. My favorite rendition has to be Eric Clapton and Sheryl together on Cream's "White Room", the rock-out moment on the album. The show is complete when all the guests return to belt out Bob Dylan's "Tombstone Blues" and close the show with a definite BANG.

2-0 out of 5 stars with friends like these....
Clipped, petite and looking more like a leather bar Anne Murray, Crow drags out the hits and the `friends' for this all-star live bash. Half the album is standard issue and straight ahead stage sweat with the morning beer-buzz afficiando going it alone without a little help from her friends (All I Wanna Do, Everyday Is a Winding Road, A Change Would Do You Good, Leaving Las Vegas). With only slight variations on these overplayed originals (a sychopantic crowd and some tinkering with the rhythms) Crow's solo chores rarely rate more than a grudging ho-hum. The rest of the album is a parade of snap-on tools (Dixie Chicks, Stevie Nicks, Eric Clapton, Sarah McLachlan, Chrissie Hynde) who easily steal the spotlight from their downhome hash-slinging waitress/host. Reduced to the role of supporting guitarist, Crow butters the toast from the sidelines as femme contemporaries like Nicks (who unravels admirably on Gold Dust Woman), Hynde and McLachlan flounder about the mike in a haphazard hit (Hynde's If It Makes You Happy)-and-miss (McLachlan's The Difficult Kind) headbutt at Crow's hits. But it isn't until Clapton's suspendered, cigar-chomping husk is rolled out to update Cream's White Room that the sour stench of monstrous micalculation reaches it's devastating climax. Fresh from watering the daisies and still in his jammies, Clapton's return to the electric psychedelics of his Paleolithic pastis a fumbling bumbling fiasco unleashed with the grace and finesse of a diarrhetic Brontosaurus. It's horrifying to think that this is what Cream would have sounded like if they hadn't broken up. Thank God for egos. It's almost a relief to hear Richards mindlessly croak his way through the old Stones Exile-era toss-off Happy, as if a cadaverous ex-junkie with the durability of a cockroach and nine lives would be anything but. Besides, Richards provides wonderful comic relief and criticizing his artistic capacity is as futile as pointing out the flaws in the bandages on an Egyptian mummy. The wrapper finds the entire gang, from Spanky Nicks to Buckwheat Clapton, joining hands for a bizarre entreaty with a kindergartenrendition of Dylan's Tombstone Blues - a fitting finale if there ever was one. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars John Denver Unplugged
This is a very nice collection. The recordings don't deviate too much from the original recordings.I really enjoyed this CD and think you will enjoy it also.If you are a John Denver fan, I recommend that you add this to your collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars John Denver Unplugged
Wonderful, rich, mature voice a must have! Many new songs that I'd never heard.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just a great album
I've loved John Denver since I was a kid.I'd listen to him on my parent's 8-track and watch for him religiously on The Muppet Show! This album has to be his finest.I have several of his CDs and it is a treat to listen to his early stuff and then to put this one on.His voice has a richness and purity to it that only comes from wisdom and experiences (not to mention decades of singing). The maturity of his voice and his emotions in this one just go right through you.Especially in "For You."It's just heart-breaking that there won't be anything new from him ever again. He is one that will stand the test of time. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Fans can never be objective...
From the OBJECTIVE reviewer...Elton has never been good in concert because he isn't able to put a new spin on his music when played live and when it doesn't have the lush production it falls flat. Kudos for employing a symphony, but it still doesn't make it memorable.

5-0 out of 5 stars TheDefinitive Elton John Collection
This album to me is the definitive Elton John collection. The choice of songs is impeccable. Mostly made up of songs from the early years of the John-Taupin relationship, it is the definitive way Elton should be heard. The older songs such as "Sixty Years On", "The Greatest Discovery", and "The King Must Die" are rare nuggets that reveal a time when the writing styles of the duo was very raw. In my opinion, the version of "Tonight" is a lot richer sounding than the version on "Blue Moves". "Tiny Dancer" and "Burn Down the Mission" are Elton concert staples, but are given added luster with the addition of the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. And of course this is the album that brought "Candle In The wind" back to the masses. Released as the single from the album,it brought Elton back to the Top 10 after approximately 4 year absence. True Elton fans know that right after this album was recorded, Elton had nodules removed from his throat. Knowing this adds to the rawness of his vocals and the emotions from the recordings.(Elton did not know the severity of his throat problems at the time.) Given all of this, "Live In Australia" defines Elton John's career and is a cornerstone of his catalog that all fans should have. If I am introducing someone to Elton John, this is the album I would buy them.

5-0 out of 5 stars I got connections
This is by far my favourite Elton John album, because my Dad's on it!!! He was 1st cellist in the Melbourne Symphony at the time. He doesn't get a mention in the liner notes sadly, but he is on the video many times. And call me liar if you will, but I did meet the man after the concert, I was 8 though (damn). His signed photo is hanging behind me. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a great album
this is a great album: great songs, lots of energy, and a band that sounds like it enjoying playing. It's a good mix of classic songs with fun jams (think Paul Simon meets String Cheese Incident). It fun weekend/Summer music which will have you dancing and singing along.

4-0 out of 5 stars ****1/2 - great live album and a fine career overview
Equipped with the unwieldy handle of "Paul Simon's Concert In The Park, August 15, 1991", this double CD finds Paul Simon backed by most of the New York session musicians and the native musicians from South Africa and Brazil who had accompanied him on "Graceland" and "The Rhythm Of The Saints".
5-0 out of 5 stars The title says it all!
On August 15,1991,nearly ten years after recording THE CONCERT IN CENTRAL PARK with Art Garfunkel,Paul Simon taped another concert in the New York City landmark. He was promoting THE RHYTHM OF THE SAINTS album released in the fall of 1990. On this album he performs a few songs from that album,HEARTS AND BONES and GRACELAND. Some songs from 1981's THE CONCERT IN CENTRAL PARK appear on this album. I think Garfunkel should have joined Simon on this album. Many of Simon's fans wished Garfunkel was performing at this concert. Simon did a few tunes that he recorded with Garfunkel like CECELIA and THE BOXER. In fact, this is the third live album that Simon recorded. His first one was 1974's LIVE RHYMIN',originally released on Columbia Records. That album is still in print but it's on Warner Bros. now. Simon went from Columbia to Warner Bros. in 1980. He still records on WB today. In fact, every Paul Simon album originally released on Columbia is on WB today. Garfunkel still records on Columbia. In fact that's been his only label in his 40-year showbiz career. Like the 1981 concert, there was not one empty spot at this one. Simon probably performed tens of times in Central Park in the last four decades. This was during the Rudy Giuliani area(he was NYC mayor in '91). Awesome album! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars John Is Back !
I purchased my first copy of this album and the video when it was released in 1995. I have since then worn that copy out, so I recently purchased a new CD.
5-0 out of 5 stars GOT TO GET THIS ONE
I just started listening to this glorious voice and simply beautiful verses coming from my stereo and sat and listened to it all. My favorites, "I Wish I Could Be In Colorado" and the sadly touching love story, "Whispering Jesse,"also "Eagles and Horses". Most all of his old "stories" are included. John Denver's voice is loud strong and gentle when appropriate.
5-0 out of 5 stars Denver grown up
I was lucky enough to see John Denver in concert around the time the Wildlife Concert came out, and he did most of this material. It is extraordinary in its simple beauty. For those of you who only remember John from the 70's, as he aged his voice developed a rich maturity that is a pleasure to hear. And his newer original songs have depth and an edge that his early hits did not.I was annoyed to read a number of obituaries after he died that dismissed him as bubble gum folk music. They obviously never heard him sing into the 90's.This is a lovely couple of CD's, containing his early classics and his newer passions.I've worn mine out and I'm ordering another copy. ...
