5-0 out of 5 stars When You Were Young
Why am I reviewing a single rather than the new release by the Killers (Sam's Town) in its entirety? Simple. This is the only song on the cd I really liked! I could listen to this one on repeat for a good couple days and be okay with it. That earns it my five star rating, but unfortunately just one song isn't enough to convince me to purchase an entire album. Enter iTunes-enough said! I appreciate that the Killers have a new mature look and sound, but all the songs seem the same on Sam's Town. Not necessarily a bad thing, but their debut album impressed me more. Don't take my word for it; give Sam's Town a listen anyhow. I might just buy it for the sake of supporting one of the few [popular] groups that sound good anymore!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Left-brained-no, right-brained-yes
I think this song is an artistic step forward for the band, but a commercial step either backwards or maybe just in place. In other words, not very many people are going to like it, but the ones who do will appreciate it more than Hot Fuss' stuff. Good article on the killers also in RollingStone magazine with Jack Nicholson on the cover. ... Read more

This is a raw, beautifully done live collection by Sarah Mclachlan. It's only Sarah, her piano, or her guitar. At first it came as a bit of a surprise, but after a few listens it's become one of my favorites of hers. I just love it.

5-0 out of 5 stars So, why isn't Dick sharing?
If there exists a true stereo mix of this record, why aren't the people who wrote, performed, recorded and released it in possession of it? Why doesn't the Beach Boys camp or Brian Wilson's camp or Mark Linett have access to it?
5-0 out of 5 stars Good Vibrations DOES exist in stereo,Mark L.
Hi Mark, I really appreciate all you do for the remixes-but I have to tell you that Dick Bartley plays a stereo version of Good Vibrations on his National radio show, and I recorded his Beach Boys show last year and have it.It IS the 45 version,IN STEREO.Where did he get it from?(Of course he talks over the beginning and end,) but it IS stereo-the Cellos are in one channel. It is not "stereoized" with reverb or something. Also please tell Darian S.that I am still waiting for an email about the live Chickering sound...

4-0 out of 5 stars best 5 minutes on the cd
I love the whole Confessions Cd for sure, but this song is the best on the disc in my opinion. This song takes me to another place. It's so lush, yet so sparse. The beat is totally infectious, you can't help but dance to this track. True, the mixes aren't the best for this song - stick to the original version. It's songs like this that keep Madonna on her throne.

4-0 out of 5 stars (Rating 7 out of 10): Good Single From A Decent Album
I like this single. Danger Mouse flips a fast paced beat and Cee-Lo sings. This single "Crazy" has an experimental taste to it, just like the album "St. Elsewhere". Unfortunately, Cee-Lo has became pop, and less appealing to me now. I always like him when he was in the group Goodie Mob, but since he's hit a solo career and started singing more about less appealing things nowadays, I'm just not feeling him like I used to. Danger Mouse does a good job behind the boards producing this album as well as the lead single. This single gets a 7 from me, but the album it's on I give it a 6. It's a good album, but I just can't get into it from an experimental standpoint. If you enjoy experimental pop music, I recommend this single and the album for you.
    5-0 out of 5 stars Ain't crazy...it's soul...
You certainly ain't crazy liking this song. So much has been said of the collaboration between Danger Mouse and Cee-Lo and the resultant product from Gnarls Barkley.
1-0 out of 5 stars Awful

5-0 out of 5 stars Its soo sexy to stomp to
This single is dubbed as electro/disco stomp and man I can't stop listening to this single. I love it when musicians really produce their own music instead of having labels make music for them. Excellent tune to use for Fashion Shows!

5-0 out of 5 stars Love all the remixes!!!
I have to say this is an amazing single by Goldfrapp and a great maxi single release as it has 6 different remixes in addition to the original version of Strict Machine as well as Hairy Trees (Live in London) and White Soft Rope Featuring The Midwich Children Choir. The remixes for Strict Machine all range in style or feel. Where the Benny Benassi Sfaction Extended Mix sounds like the beat from Satisfaction by Benny Bennasi which makes it a full on electro club remix and Ewan's Pearson's Stripped Machine Mix is more stripped down electro. Then there's the more housey remixes by Calderone + Suryanto and Peter Rauhofer. Overall this makes for a great package for anyone into electronic and dance music.
3-0 out of 5 stars less than
it is obvious that with this release, goldfrapp is trying to court a more mainstream american audience. good for them. they deserve as much success as possible. but too bad to sell out they had to sacrifice quality.

4-0 out of 5 stars another great dance track from the Queen
This was the logical follow-up single to Hung Up. Another great beat from the Dancing Queen. I hear this and I'm on my feet in an instant. The mixes are not bad for this song, some are better than others of course. I think the Pet Shop Boys mix is probably the best.

5-0 out of 5 stars please don't say you're sorry
sorry is not the best song on Confessions, it's How High, but it was an obvious pick for a second single.
5-0 out of 5 stars Another bettering of a mainstream sound...
What don't you Americans get?!?!? Oh, that's right... techno, or electronica. For anyone here who does, I must say, while I was hoping "Sorry" would lose all of its cheese factor in the remix stage, it didn't really transcend as well as it should have. The Green Velvet mix has done it some justice, admittedly, but the PSB mix is too camp - as is Oakenfold (who's starting to sound just too dated).

5-0 out of 5 stars A great example of creative remixing.
Trent Reznor through Nine Inch Nails has developed a steady habit of remixing large volumes of his work and releasing countless Halos dedicated solely to these remixes. While this is certainly a boon for hungry collectors, fans interested in the music alone are often disappointed by the paltry turnout of a lot of these remix discs. Fortunately, Closer to God is a huge exception to the rule, displaying a powerful mastery of creative and thoughtful mixing practices.
5-0 out of 5 stars Ya gotta love the song, or else you'll hate this CD
I loved this CD, it has several different versions of "closer", often long ones.I love the different mixes and I rarely get bored by the variety of styles. There are a few other songs included.Sometimes the style of the other songs just does not match what mood the album is putting me in, and I get jarred out of my trance enough to go over and flip to the next song.
4-0 out of 5 stars Trent Brings Us Closer

3-0 out of 5 stars Great song, but it ain't the Beatles
Even given the tragic circumstances that prevented a full-fledged reunion of the Beatles for the "Anthology" mini-series of the mid-Nineties, "Real Love" is, in the end, no more a BEATLES song than was "(Just Like)Starting Over" for example. Except for George Harrison's definitive slide guitar breaks, this is John Lennon's showcase through and through. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr might well have participated in this recording, but you'd never know it from listening. This isn't to say that it's a bad song...on the contrary, it's as good a Lennon paeon to love as he ever wrote in the late Seventies. But that's the point, really. Never mind that this wasn't the John Lennon who had written "Tomorrow Never Knows" or "Strawberry Fields Forever;" he wasn't even the guy who had written "This Boy," "If I Fell" or "Yes It Is," to name just a few of his love songs from the pre-Pepper days. For better or worse, John Lennon had simplified his songwriting craft considerably by the time of his death, and "Real Love" is planted firmly in that place in time, a time that was long past that of the Beatles. The question that will never be answered, of course, is, would he have made the same changes in his songwriting if there had still been a Beatles after 1970? We'll never know.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Song
In 1995, the Beatles began working on their "Anthology" project, and I believe this CD serves as a good preview to the set.You get the newly recorded song, "Real Love," and outtakes plus a live version of "Baby's in Black" from the 1965 Hollywood Bowl concert (which, I might add, was not released on the 1977 Hollywood Bowl record, so it is truly unreleased.)I now own this single on CD and vinyl, just because I love the Beatles."Real Love" is one of John's best songs ever.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent single
In 1995 and 1996, The Beatles Anthology set was released. This was a six disc set (three volumes of two discs), and it featured a plethora of rare tracks. Among the tracks on the sets were two old John Lennon demos which the remaining members of the band got together to finish - Free as a Bird and Real Love. Read on for my review of the former single.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing Dance Song!
To tell you the truth, I can not find words to explain why this song is so amazing. The first time I heard the album version, I was like "Why choosing clocks, phones and ABBA samples for a first single? What is Madonna thinking?" After buying this single and hearing it loud at home, I could not stop dancing (specially the Stuart Price Remix). There is a feeling of "Leting go, forget your problems, feel free", not easy to describe everytime you hear it and dance to it. Even after, you will find yourself saying "Time goes by, so slowly, so slowly, so slowly..."

Only", the second single from "With Teeth", has something in common with its predecessor-- its of limited value. I picked it up and was pretty disappointed.
4-0 out of 5 stars Cool song
This song is pretty catchy, but the remixes are pretty bad, the only change in the Love is not enough, is that there is live drums. Instead of buying this, buy the whole cd, unless you're an extreme NIN collector

5-0 out of 5 stars there is no you there is ONLY me
I rather enjoy the new and improved sounds of Nine Inch Nails. This is the catchiest Nails song since....The Hand that Feeds. The beat is hard to erase.the words are easy to remember, the song is greatly admired. The use of in-studio real drums rather than the industrial drum machine beats as days of old. more calmer Nails than pre-Fragile material, a change indeed but nonetheless, masterpiece. The video is very interesting, in an office like setting, very non-ninesque. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised
I'm a big fan of Nine Inch Nails, yet I was hesitant at buying this EP. I'm not usually into 10-minute-long remixes, now matter how good the original song - they just drag on too long and are too repetitive. Despite this knowledge, I decided to buy this EP in order to bring my self a little closer to completing my NIN catalogue. However, upon first listen I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the tracks are somewhat long and drawn out (a mere 6 songs adds up to 40 minutes in total!) but I found myself enjoying them because they have that distinctive feel of darkness, gloom, depression and hatred that Trent Reznor channels through his music in his own special way, even if there are minimal vocals at times. It has style, and I feel that any true Nine Inch Nails fan should appreciate it or at least give it a go. I did...and I'm sure glad I did.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Stray From The Norm
This particular Nine Inch Nails Single strays from the normal format of club/dance sort of style and ventures into a totally new demension of Nine Inch Nails. This, I am talking about, is a mixture of Dark Ambient/Noise, Gabber, Industrial Dance Music (IDM) and Industrial. For the regular listeners of Nine Inch Nails this will be an eye opener and shocker. And to the here and there listener this will not be a good single for them. I say this only 'cause in some of tracks it will go from a simple Dark Ambient/Noise track and roll right into IDM. This is not a bad thing for those that listen to this sort of abstract type of tracks. But beware those that are new to Nine Inch Nails. Even avet listeners find this one hard to swallow. So if you are going to venture into this single, I would recemmend going into it with an open mind and open ears.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is my favorite NIN remix CD
Honestly, it is. Maybe it isn't the best, but it is my favorite. Track one is remixed by Coil and it is one of the best NIN remixes you will ever hear. Definitely one of the more creative. Track four might as well be an original song if it is a remix, and any time you get the chance at new NIN material, I suggest you take it. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I feel me slipping in and out of consciousness
Thom Yorke emerged with one of the best solo debuts of the past year, after a lot of people questioned whether he could stand out away from Radiohead. "Harrowdown Hill" is one of the best songs from that debut, here paired on a single with two previously unheard tracks.

5-0 out of 5 stars From
First of all, I have to say that "Crystal Ball" is awesome, and, aside from "Somewhere Only We Know", is my favorite Keane song. What makes this song so special is that it has been part of a journey that I have been on in trying to reach this person I saw on the news named Lara Roxx about a year and a half ago.It was a real sad story about how Lara grew up in a troubled family environment and wound up on the streets and eventually wandered into porn. After only 3 months in the porn business, she came down with HIV, as if this poor girl did not have enough problems already! To make matters worse, she was only 19 when she contracted the deadly virus--just starting out in life. She is still above ground and is currently residing in Montreal, trying to start a foundation to help raise money for AIDS Awareness.Well, recently, both my friend and I had the idea to try and contact Keane and send them my version of "Crystal Ball" entitled "Montreal" which deals with Lara's plight and have Keane sing "Montreal" and release it as a single and have the proceeds donated to Lara Roxx's Foundation to help her get it financed.I think Keane would really go for it as they seem to be involved in reaching out to the underdogs and those less fortunate in society.I am sure that Lara would really appreciate it as well. This is one of my ultimate dreams that I pray would come true someday soon.
5-0 out of 5 stars KEANE's B Sides are the BEST!

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD!
I was fortunate enough to have encountered the Cruxshadows when they were playing in Atlanta, so my first experience with their music was first hand, and I was completely blown away. The energy level was through the roof.
5-0 out of 5 stars Finally!
Awesome that this talented band is getting the national recognition they deserve. This is a great dance track and bodes well for the upcoming album, Dreamcypher, in January. And, unlike many singles, this includes extra "b-side" songs like they used to do.Well worth the price!

5-0 out of 5 stars Waiting with Bated Breath
This single is just fantastic. The direction that Rogue and his Cruxshadows have taken is just amazing. This taste of their upcoming album is barely enough to quell the anticipation. Here is looking forward to January! ... Read more

This cd single is pretty good overall.
4-0 out of 5 stars "I dont think you know what pain is". Erotica is a great song and remixes are not too bad either!
Erotica came out in 1992 and this is the first single to come off from this very underrated album.
5-0 out of 5 stars One of Madonna's best songs!
