3-0 out of 5 stars I Don't Hate It But I Don't See How It's the Bestselling Record
I personally think the Eagles, despite some good songs, are an overrated band. This album is the greatest-selling album of all time, so I guess I am a minority here if I think it's overrated. I like some of the songs, and I don't like others. Let me tell you my thoughts on the specific tracks:

5-0 out of 5 stars Exceptional best-of set
Of course you know all these songs, and of course there are many more great cuts deeper on the original albums, but for a single-disc review of a band with over 10 years' worth of releases, this 18-track set is hard to beat. The group went through several striking stylistic changes over its lifetime, but that variation actually helps this disc hold together as an album as well as a set of songs.
5-0 out of 5 stars A nice compilation of The Talking Heads
I've always liked The Talking Heads, they always had catchy songs that were fun to listen to. I must admit, my favorite of theirs has always been "Burning Down The House", but there are so many good songs on here, as well. The Talking Heads were one of the best bands of the 80's, that's when they had their best work. The 70's were ok, too, but their 80's work really shined. I'm quite happy with this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Articulate Collection
Oddly, a compilation by Talking Heads should come out uneven and disjointed, but this collection is marvelously done. The songs meld well together and provide a sampler that wouldn't prevent anyone from buying their excellent original albums.('Talking Heads '77,' 'Remain in Light,' and 'Speaking in Tongues' are their crowning achievements artistically, but 'Fear of Music,' 'More Songs About Buildings and Food,' and 'True Stories' demonstrate that they had a great repertoire. (Unlike, 'Sand in the Vaseline,' which is also excellent, but perhaps takes too many gems and doesn't align them as well.)

5-0 out of 5 stars Second Time Around (On CD)
This is a great album as all the reviewers have already said. There is not much I can add to what they have said, except that no one seems to remember that this CD and 3 others have been released before. They are Mongrel, Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, Seven, and Smokin' O.P's. They were out in '92 or '93. They went out of print pretty fast. I have these and the new version of S.O.P.'s. It definetly sounds better with the new remastering. "Back in '72" was listed in Ice Magazine for release on 8-16-05 but it didn't happen. Must have been pushed back. That album has never been released on CD, so it will be a welcome addition to my collection. Hopefully, the powers-that-be will see fit to re-release the others with the new remastered sound which is superior to the first go rounds. Also, I vaguely remember seeing "Noah" on vinyl years ago, but I don't recall much about it. I was really looking forward to the "Back in '72" CD. I found a good copy of it on vinyl a few months ago and transferred it to my computer which sounds o.k. My favorite is "Rosalie" which Thin Lizzy covered much to the original way Bob did it.....Heavy Music, Indeed!! ... Read more

Greatest-hits collections often deprive the listener of the chance to experience an artist's true scope of talent. Not so with Steve Miller--his strength has always been more in crafting an occasional blast of FM-radio heaven rather than a dozen solid album tracks.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars YES,YES,YES,YES,YES
I JUST LOVE STEVE MILLER.I THINK THAT JOKER AND FLY LIKE AN EAGLES ARE ONE OF THE GREATEST SONGS EVER.STEVE MILLER IS AN EXTREMELY GOOD GUITARIST AND ANYDAY BETTER THAN MARK KNOPFLER AND SLASH.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Music
I was in Jr. High School when most of Steve Miller Band's Hits were popular. The music sounds as good today as they did some 30 years ago. I love The Joker and I think our radio station here in town plays it more than any other song by SMB. Another good song is Serenade. I love the guitar work on this song as well as Jet Airliner. Fly Like An Eagle is also a very good song with some fine guitar work. Rock 'N' Me is a very mellow song that my friends and I used to sing to a lot and we knew every word. Steve Miller Band was one of the most popular bands of the 70's. My favorite song on this CD is Take The Money And Run. It is about two teenagers in love and they have nothing better to do than steal money from a bank or store and they keep running from the law and as the song says, they are still running today.
4-0 out of 5 stars This is just the commercial hits
It is too bad that so many people's view of the Steve Miller Band centers around this album.First off, there isn't enough space on a CD to truly contain all of Steve's best work.

5-0 out of 5 stars simply amazing
i remember getting my first cd player for christmas when i was 14 with it i got a cd carrying various classic cd's, this cd was one of them.to tell the truth i have been listing to the stones since i was 5, and i knew then i like the way they sounded.being a kid i hadn't a clue about the various styles they played, but as i grew older and started appreciating music as a whole i relized that these guys will always be remebered as the bes of the best.Ever since i got this cd, i have listened to it over and over, i am 24 now and for the first time i am going to see them live.this set cements the fact that what ever these guys touch, turns to gold.stripped is a shining example of what a comp cd should be, most comp cd's just touch on a bands greatnes, only having one or two hits and the rest the dregs of thier worst cd's.don't get me wrong it's good to hear the less played songs, some the stones best stuff is hardly ever played o nthe radio, over all this is a must have in any cd collection

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh please
Anybody who gives this 1 star, has no idea what classics are, or what real music is. I'm a diehard hip hop fan and I know what the rolling stones mean to music. I listened to my fathers collection and all there albums are classics to me. I say get the albums before this. Either way you cant go wrong.

4-0 out of 5 stars Boston - 'Greatest Hits' (Sony)
Review no. 132. Nicely assembled 16 track compilation of hits / fan favorite tunes off the arena rock master's first three albums, self-titled('76), 'Don't Look Back'('78) and 'Third Stage'('86). Plus there are three exclusive cuts here that you cannot find on any other CD, "Tell Me","Star Spangled Banner" and "Higher Power" which are so-so. Not even sure if 'Greatest Hits' is geared toward the Boston die-hards or the casual fans. Either way,it does make for decent listening. Oh, great cover, don't you agree?

5-0 out of 5 stars BOSTON ARE THE BEST
I LOVE BOSTON.THEY HAVE PRODUCED SOME OF THE FINEST SONGS IN THE SEVENTIES LIKE MORE THAN A FEELING,PEACE OF MIND,ROCK AND ROLL BAND AND AMANDA.IF I WERE YOU I WOULD IGNORE THE ONE STAR REVIEWS AND BUY ALL THEIR CD'S TILL THIRD STAGE.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

1-0 out of 5 stars junk
What a very bad joke! Boston are one of the worst bands I have ever purchased. They are one of the worst besides the Beatles. They are not legends at all. This is a really horrible greatest hits collection which has no good songs at all. More than a feeling is one of the lousiest most dumb songs I have ever heard.

5-0 out of 5 stars An awesome collection from the greatest female vocalist ever.
There's not that many more superlatives that I can add to what other reviewers have stated about the sheer artistic (and physical) prowess that Pat Benatar has exhibited througout her career.
3-0 out of 5 stars Good, Could've been Great
I love the remastering, I love the deja vu it gives me on road trips, but I really miss the one song that brought me and countless others into her camp in 1979, the ultra-cool new wave song "If You Think You Know How To Love Me", still one of the coolest songs ever. Sadly, I have yet to see one of these comps get it right, even when it's so obvious and easy that anyone outside of the (I was there for quite awhile-I know) music industry could have done it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Compilation of Hits from An Incredible Vocalist
I recently purchased this CD and was pleased with how many of Pat Benatar's hits were included. This was certainly a great value. There were many songs I had forgotten that she had done and was pleasantly surprised to hear them again.

While many of their peers were abandoning '70s metal and arena rock to hop the punk/new wave bandwagon, Def Leppard smartly stripped the earlier era's music of its excesses, bolstered it with energetic, pop-savvy hooks and quickly found itself the vanguard of the UK's new metal revival and one of the '80s most spectacularly successful rock acts. The first disc of this 35-track, two-and-a-half hour double-disc retrospective focuses on the familiar hits of their early MTV, platinum-selling prime, though the inclusion of the video edit/remixes of "Pour Some Sugar On Me" and "Rocket" attempts to cast them in a more club-friendly contemporary groove. But the grittier second disc showcases some of the early, overlooked roots of Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect Def Leppard collection...
This is definitely one of the best "Greatest Hits/Best Of" collections around, It covers Leppard's entire career and only has a few glaring omissions. If you are new to Def Leppard, this is a good place to start since it has their biggest hits and most of the best songs from all of their releases. If you have been a fan for a long time, it's nice to have this much great music on two discs.
5-0 out of 5 stars Killer!!
I`m a huge fan of Def-Leppard, this album really rocks with some surprisingly good songs. If your a Def-Leppard fan you will love it, you won`t be disappointed. It`s worth every penny!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Do you like the 80's? One Disc or two?
This double disc best of is like having a Def Lep super hits jukebox. Thirty four tracks, rather neatly divided into two discs, packed to the gills and a nifty liner book with band members commenting on the songs (personal favorite, "Slang" was about phone sex!). This twin CD renders the old "Vault" superfluous.

Editorial Review

As the Beatles' perpetual dark horse, Harrison rarely got the chance to write and sing more than one or two songs per album. But once the band split up, the former "quiet one" was quick out of the gate with a series of memorable hit singles that seamlessly merged his budding spirituality and an epic, Phil Spector-inspired pop sensibility. This collection, originally released in 1976, combines seven of Harrison's best-known Beatles numbers, including "Something," "If I Needed Someone," "Here Comes the Sun," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with a half-dozen early solo hits including "My Sweet Lord," "Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)," "You," and "What Is Life." As such, it's a good entry-level Harrison primer. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars mostly beatle songs he didnt write
sad but true.this album has 7 beatle songs on it,only a few of which he actualy wrote and 4 of his own stuff.starting off theres "something" from abbey road.he wrote that song and hit #1.pretty good for a guy who only wrotea handful of beatle songs.it was written for patti harruson his then wife.when the beatles disbanded that parasite got with eric clapton who wrote 2 more hits for her "wonderful tonight" and "layla".anyhow, then theres some filler then another classic from abbey road called "here comes the sun ".more filler, then "for you blue".i always liked that one even though it wasnt as pop as the others.the last beatle song is from "the white album"."while my guitar gently weeps".its beautiful.now right there, youve already got your moneys worth but he threw in a few of his own songs so itd be a best of george and not georges favorite beatle songs.so heres his tunes........"my sweet lord" dedicated to lord krsna.actualy some of the words he sings repetively is the krsna chant only in english.its a very pretty song.then he does a save the earth song with "give me love, give me peace on earth".it also is very inspiring.i forget "you".than theres a save the starvingpeople song called "bangla desh".its ok but its a reminder of how awful life can be so i usualy skip that one."darkhorse" is pretty self explanatory and lastly theres "what is life?".anothertrancendental type song.i think of the 4 beatles solo greatest hits albums,id rank this one 3rd.but hes still a beatle so 3rd still ranks in the spectacular.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful album needs remastering!!
"The Best of george Harrison" is a wonderful compilation of his best Beatles and post-Beatles hits and songs, but I find myself agreeing with other reviewers on the choice of Beatle songs."If I Needed Someone" and "Think For Yourself" could have been replaced with "All Things Must Pass" and "Isn't It A Pity" which deserves to be here even more since the "My Sweet Lord" 45 was a double sided hit with that track. This would have also tipped the scale more toward George's solo sides, to make a more even handed comp. Also, this CD has been out forever, it not only needs to be recompiled, but REMASTERED!!It pales beside the remasters of the original albums. But if you cannot buy the individual albums, "The Best Of George Harrison" is a decent pick for someone wanting to check out his music for the first time.

4-0 out of 5 stars There's no other!!!
There's no other George Harrison or even close. His music lives on. And he lives on in my heart. Buy this and everything else by the Beatles. For me I'd rather buy this stuff twice than the new artist clones that flood the market today.

4-0 out of 5 stars Huey Lewis
Huey Lewis & the News' newest "Greatest Hits" is all the freakin Huey Lewis you'll ever need...This CD clocks in at just under a whopping 80 minutes - that's 1 hour and 20 minutes of Huey. So, yes it's a little bit of overkill. And yes, there are a few songs on here that I would definitely get rid of (mostly in the middle).
4-0 out of 5 stars Can You Feel It?
21 tracks from one of the greatest rock bands of the 1980s, it's Huey Lewis & the News, featuring classic tracks like "the Power of Love" off of Back to the Future, "I Want a New Drug" off of Sports & "the Heart of Rock & Roll" also off Sports, "Do you Believe in Love" off of Fore & many more from the 80s, 90s & 00s, in the 80s when Hair bands were the popular rock of the 80s, Huey Lewis & the News were the other great rock band to come out of that decade. These guys rock, great songs, buy this CD

If you enjoy the works of one of the great rock and roll stars of our time, Janis Joplin, I would highly recommend this CD of Janis Joplin-Greatest Hits.It captures Janis in a number of concert scenes where she was at her best...in front of live crowds..talking and singing...the music, music tones, moods, language, conversation, all make this CD very special...I had the pleasure of seeing Janis when I was a young kid in my first year of high school...she was very special...and her work is very special. If you don't know of Janis...try this out...it will rock your world.

4-0 out of 5 stars Janis Live!
I never saw Janis perform in person; however, anyone can see her perform live because there is an excellent video: Janis: The Way She Was. This includes three different renditions of "Ball and Chain". She left Mamma Cass in shock at the Monterrey Pop Festival. My advice is that people skip the recordings and go straight to the video. Janis was much more than a singer; she was a cultural icon. A recording of Janis is like a recording of opera - incomplete. ... Read more

With the pop sense of Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks now leading the band, Fleetwood Mac moved completely away from blues and created this homage to love, Southern California-style. Each songwriter makes his or her presence known: Nicks for her dreamy, mystical reveries ("Dreams," "Gold Dust Woman:); Christine McVie for her ultra-catchy slogans ("Don't Stop"); and Buckingham for his deceptively simple pop songs ("Second Hand News," "Go Your Own Way"). "The Chain," written collectively, is the Mac at their most dramatic. But it's the ensemble playing, the elastic rhythms, and lush harmonies that transform the material into classic FM fare. 4-0 out of 5 stars A classic
They say passion fuels the fire and this album is a perfect example of that. The McVie's marriage was coming to an end, the Buckinham/Nicks relationship also. And it's all displayed so wonderfully here...failing relationships form the backbone to pretty much every song here - the song titles alone indicate where the songs are headed. I can't imagine what it must have been like recording this album - having to work alongside the person that you no longer love. And so it goes - the songs are akin to a game of tennis, one songwriter fires a shot, only to find it returned with a blistering volley. The album opens with the high tempo "Second Hand News" and the energy is maintained through to "Go Your Own Way". The tempo drops for "Songbird" and via superb sequencing "The Chain" follows - starting with just a drum and a couple of guitars it builds to such a superb crescendo that it was used by the BBC as the theme song to their Formula One Motor Racing coverage. The quality songwriting and musicianship is maintained throughout the album. One of the most important albums ever recorded.

4-0 out of 5 stars THE archetypical 70's album!
A great album for anyone and eveyone, which truly captures the essence of not only the 70's but Fleetwood Mac itself falling apart at the seems. Great songs such as "Go Your Own Way" and "The Chain" make this a must for any record collection!

5-0 out of 5 stars Biggest Album Of The 70's
In my opinion Rumours from Fleetwood Mac is one of the biggest albums of the 70's. The 10 songs on this CD are outstanding. In my opinion this is one of the best CD's of all time. Stevie Nicks does a very good job on Dreams. I really didn't know what the words were until I looked at the liner notes of the song. She gives this song good vocal performance. You Make Loving Fun is my favorite song on this CD. Christine McVie does a wonderful job of singing this song. I love the beats of the songs Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way. The CD starts out with the song Second Hand News which is a very nice up-tempo song by the group. Never Going Back Again is the shortest song on the CD but a very good song. The Chain has very good harmony vocals on it also. The CD ends with Stevie Nicks singing Gold Dust Woman, A haunting theme to it. Fleetwood Mac went above and beyond when they recorded this album. Good Job!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Sleeze Rock at it's finest
Gun's & Roses came out in the nick of time. Record companies were mass producing cookie cutter bands and they all sound the same. G&R made their debut on the music scene in 87 but didn't get big until almost late 88 early 89. Appitite is a true masterpiece. Welcome to the Jungle, It's So Easy, Mr. Brownstone, My Michelle....The list goes on and on. Put it in turn it up to 10 and Rock On! The they made a mistake. they realeased an albums worth of great songs on 2 albums. So instead of another masterpiece they wound up with 2 ok albums. Then they vanished. Anyone who is a fan of the music but couldn't care less about Axl should pick up Velvet Revolver with Slash and Scott Wieland from Stone Temple Pilots.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Greatest Album Ever
This has got to be the greatest album ever. When I first heard Welcome to the Jungle on the Radio I became an instant GNR fan. Than about two days later I went to mall and got it. Guns n Roses also wrote my favorite song of all time, November Rain. Well thats all I got to say, if you are just getting into Rock and Metal get this and the Use your illusion albums.

3-0 out of 5 stars A "Classic" ?
Slash and the rest of the band made this album good, Axle took all the credit. There are other bands I'd rather listen to, but these guys had plenty of energy on this one.Suburban white boys and rural farm trash were united in absorbing it's ability to release them from their constrictions. Still appeals to youngsters today. Call it a generational "classic". ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Stones Collection
If you want to listen to the best Mick Jagger & company had to offer from the early 70s to the early 90s then this is the CD for you.
3-0 out of 5 stars not the best choice of songs
This should have included SHATTERED, SHE'S SO COLD, and ONE HIT TO THE BODY, if it was a true greatest hits cd from this time period.

4-0 out of 5 stars Mixed Emotional CD
I have Mixed Emotions about this CD compilation. Most of the Stones best songs are here during that era, although I would have liked to have seen "Can't You Hear Me Knocking?", "Monkey Man", "Shattered", "She's So Cold", or "Dance Little Sister" on it.But the biggest letdown in this CD was the editted version of the Monster Hit: "Miss You" by one minute and sixteen seconds. (the singles version)Also, "Beast of Burden","Hot Stuff", and "Fool to Cry" were each cut by almost a full minute! "Rock and A Hard Place" was also editted too.(You can hear the eight minute dance version of 'Miss You' on the "Rarities '71 to '03" CD, but that was more amusing than fantastic listening.) Overall the 'Jump Back' CD is good, but You Can't Always Get What You Want. If you did, you got me Rocking! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Stevie's Double Crowning Achievement!
I'm one of those reviewers that rarely rates music that hasn't touched me in one way or another. So when I felt that I wanted to write a review for a Stevie Wonder album, I ended up struggling over which of his great releases I should review. I love ALL of his mid-seventies releases....most notably, "Innervisions", "Fullfillingness...", and, of course, "Songs...". I guess I finally decided to 'tackle' this one based on its historical significance to the art of Music. For one, Stevie was "coming into his own" as far as musical expression and social commentary within his songs. Other than the great Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye, Stevie was at the forefront of writing about the joys, pains, positives and negatives of Human exsistance on Earth...and he did it very well. Songs such as "Village Ghetto Land", "Pastime Paradise", "Saturn" and "Have a Talk with God" among others, were as powerful 'messages' one could experience through a set of speakers. Secondly, He was able to finally gain TOTAL control of his musical vision from Motown and Berry Gordy....even more so than Marvin had done with "Whats Going On"...and this TOTAL control shows most prevelant on "Songs" than any previous release leading up to this one(IMO). There's certainly a little bit of everything on "Songs"---- the joy of life on "Isn't She Lovely";black man's contributions to evolution in "Black Man"; World Love and Peace in "I am Singing"; the joys and pains of childhood in "I Wish"; Spiritual guidance in "Have a talk with God"; Desperation in the World's Ghettos in "Village Ghetto Land" , and even some "Props" to Mr. Ellington in "Sir Duke". One could literally go on like this for every song on this double album....Yes, very moving, significant statements indeed! As for the actual music and musicians, they are "all over the board" here (and Stevie certainly plays his share of the instruments, however, not as exstinsively as past albums). Every musician involved in "Songs" played exactly what each track called for, and, at the same time, still managed to put their 'mark' on these great cuts. The listener will be happy to find mellow, introspective songs...Upbeat, funky rockers...Spanish-tinged music....and even Stevie's brand of Fushion (Contusion)... Overall, A wonderful assortment of musical styles and genres mixed into one of the most important double LPs ever released. As a closing note, I am somewhat of a new-comer to this great artist, and yes, I am white. However, I feel this is one of a handful of artists that crosses/bridges ALL ethnic groups...weather black, white, yellow, or red. Please don't let the color of your skin (or Stevie's) stop you from experiencing some of the most important 'Art' ever produced. Strongly recommended, along with any other releases from this Genius!

5-0 out of 5 stars An Album that deserves all the acollades it's been given
This album has been ranked highly in VH1 polls and Rolling Stone Polls time after time and it really deserves it.....
5-0 out of 5 stars All-Time Great

5-0 out of 5 stars Encapsulates all their musical grandeur
"The Division Bell" followed "Momentary Lapse of Reason" and it constituted the band's second release without Roger Waters and with David Gilmour at the helm of the band. In my mind, it can be considered as an album that encapsulates all of Pink Floyd's grandeur, having an abundance of musical references to their greatest works.
5-0 out of 5 stars Not Enough Stars, This Is Their Pinnacle, since.....
....DSOTM is almost impossible to compare with anything, it's such an iconic recording. At least I can't be very objective about it....As a tremendous fan of most all Floyd since that record, I can honestly say Division Bell ismy favorite. Less cynical than the rest of them (with a couple of tracks as very notable exceptions!!)
1-0 out of 5 stars Cold and distant, album leaves me empty
I just cant warm up to anything on this album. It reminds me of some of the NewAge stuff back in the 80s mixed with some of the candy rock of the time. Like George Winston's piano on "Winter" where the pauses between the notes added meaning. It seems Gilmour was playing with the space between the notes. Definitely not the space between his ears. If you like this try Jean Michelle Jarre or Kitaro. They do a much better job. Lord knows I've tried to listen to MLOR and Division Bell but PF truely died with the parting of Waters. This is just retire money for Gilmour or he as gone by way of Sid Barrett. ... Read more

Editorial Review

In 1976, when the Eagles, Peter Frampton, and Heart ruled the rock airwaves, along came five scruffy young men (the lead guitarist was maybe all of 18 and dressed in a schoolboy's uniform) from Australia playing some of the rowdiest, hardest, dirtiest rock of all time. Screaming "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock 'n' Roll)," singer Bon Scott teased like a braggart. Sensing the rock community's growing dissatisfaction with bloated, epic-scaled bands, AC/DC were indeed a high-voltage act: their drummer nailed the beat with fury, their bluesy guitar riffs mutated into something metallic and sharp-edged, and Scott's vocals took the shrillness of early Robert Plant to a leaner and meaner place. "Live Wire" is one of the most electrifying hard rock songs imaginable, "High Voltage" and "TNT" are the musical equivalent of touching exposed nerves with a rusty fork, and "Jack" proves that white rock dudes can, contrary to popular belief, Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
This is a compilation of the band's first two albums, the mediocre HIGH VOLTAGE, and the very good T.N.T.. The album opens with the very good IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP, followed by the equally good ROCK N ROLL SINGER. After a strong start you get three classic songs in a row, THE JACK, LIVE WIRE, and T.N.T., which are arguably as good as anything the band has ever done. LITTLE LOVER and SHE'S GOT BALLS are two more great tracks (both from the original HIGH VOLTAGE). CAN I SIT NEXT TO YOU GIRL, and the song HIGH VOLTAGE aren't up to the level of the rest of the album, but they're not bad either. SOUL STRIPPER should have been included on this release.

1-0 out of 5 stars This is a farce, part one
By 1976, somebody had the rather strange idea of tearing apart the Australian version of "HIGH VOLTAGE" and "T.N.T", AC/DC's first two albums, and then sew some of the pieces together into this hodgepodge. Who's to blame for this rip off?. Somebody at Atlantic Records?. Some members of AC/DC?. Maybe both?. Who cares anyway?.
5-0 out of 5 stars May Altman forever burn in hell...
The 1976 Rolling Stone writer who summed this album and AC/DC up as "calculated stupidity" was definitely in the wrong side of the univiverse when he reviewed this album, and he will forever burn in the annals of Rock n' Roll history. AC/DC instead went on to define Rock in the biggest way possible--as I remember, even the 80's punks, who revolted against most commercial heavy metal, including Led Zeppelin, still liked AC/DC, or at least some of their songs. Looking back on that era, I rememberhardcore fans of The Smiths even getting off to AC/DC at selected moments!
