THE REAL "SUMMER OF LOVE"
MICHAEL CARD's Greatest Hits compilation was released in 1994 - one of the best years of my life.I recall hearing the song 'WHY?' for the first time in my (then) girlfriend's car, just as we were entering the eastbound I-10 onramp at Sepulveda Boulevard.Only a couple of months earlier, on April 6, while alone in an apartment in a grungy area of Los Angeles, I was quite unexpectedly driven to my knees, where Jesus Baptized me with The Holy Spirit.I didn't exactly know what had happened to me , or why - only that I was suddenly changed somehow.Obviously, that was a special year for this reviewer, and when I heard Michael Card sing, "WHY DID THEY NAIL HIS FEET AND HANDS WHEN HIS LOVE WOULD HAVE HELD HIM THERE?" it perfectly described the Fire I felt inside me, and the Love that I knew Jesus has for us!I asked my girlfriend to replay that song several times.For me, that remains one of the greatest lines ever written about my Savior King.And although I don't play it often, 'JOY IN THE JOURNEY' always takes me back to that magical year of rebirth.
Powerful Theological Truths in Music Form
Music is powerful.The Bible makes this clear.Within the heart of man is a desire to release their emotions, affections, dreams, concerns, even theological truths in musical form.The Psalms (literally "praises") were written with all forms of human emotions but contained truths focused on God's Word (Psalm 119 is a prime example).
Simply the Best!
Michael Card is a pure muscial genius. What's better is he has decided to devote his gift to Christ. I have listened to practically all Christian artists and Michael Card is the King. Without any doubt. If you don't own this man's album, shame on you. Each of his songs are so deep, thoughtful, and annoited. My dad always says he could preach a sermon on each of Card's songs. I agree. His best includes: Scandalon, Starkindler, Known By the Scars, Know You in the Now, How Long, The Dragon, Into the Mystery, Celebrate the Child, The Final Word, God's Own Fool, Why?, Joy In the Journey, Salvation, Jubilee, You are Worthy, Soul Anchor, and many more. Was looking for Christian music to inspire me
I found it! This cd is very inspiring, the lyrics are beautiful and the sound is wonderful. My biggest apprehension about Christian music was that the artists might not sound like the popular, secular music that I was used to. She sounds like Celine Dion, except Celine only sings about mushy love and Natalie's songs are deep and inspiring. I thank God for her talent and willingness to share it with the rest of us.

Awesome Father/Daughter dance song
On this album, the song, "Always be your baby", is an incredible song for fathers/daughters.It is especially appropos to those of us getting married at a later age (or a second marriage).Prepare yourself for a good tear jerker, though, if you have a close relationship with your Dad.This one song makes the whole album worthwhile.

Natalie Grant- Deeper Life
Anyone who is spiritual or just likes to listen to a great vocalist will love the Natalie Grant CD.She's an amazing singer with great faith insight and depth.I'm a big Christian Music fan and she is my favorite artist.Not your typical gospel music but a great pick-up to my day.Youth and adults alike will enjoy this CD.My personal favorite is Days like this (track 2).The lyrics send a powerful message that is positive and a great relief from the negativity of the world.Besides, the way she switches her style to accommodate all types of listners is magnificent. ... GREAT STUFF!!!!
There is no way you can listen to this CD and not move, dance or just smile! This is a high-energy Latin-funk CD that is just AWESOME! These guys are not only a great worship team, they are just an incredible band!! This may be one of the most "fun" CDs you will listen to!!!

Nice Change
This is my first Salvador cd. I bought it after listening to their beautiful interpretation of the standard "As The Deer". As an avid praise and worship fan, I was looking for a different spin on the classic praise and worship songs and this cd fits perfectly.

Lincoln Brewster is a great worship leader and performer and this CD is a must for anyone who loves worship music. What a wonderful collection. Buy this one and Aaron Shust's "Anything Worth Saying" and listen to them over and over. You will certainly be uplifted!

great songs, a little too slow
This CD has some of the greatest praise and worship songs ever, but they are all just a little on the slow side, and I find myself wishing they were just a step up on the tempo.Most of the songs are not in my key, and I can't really sing along with this one very well, maybe that's my singing voice, not the cd, but just the same, I prefer the "Songs for Worship" CD's instead.

This CD Will Lift You Up!
I bought this CD for my seven-year old's birthday.He has listened to secular rock with me for years, and I felt like we needed something else to listen to in the car, and I knew that both my kids liked praise songs from church.Wow!I also bought him a CD player at the same time, and I have been amazed how much he chooses to listen to these songs, over and over and over.We all sing to these songs, even my Pearl Jam-loving husband!I've never been one to listen to Christian rock, prefering either true gospel or secular rock.I love this music and the sound of my son singing to God.I may order another one just like it so that my twelve-year old will have his own.

Very familiar praise and worship favorites
If you're looking for a Worship CD to give as a gift this is one of the best.It has an excellent selection of praise and worship songs that are well known, and often played on K-Love and Air1.Most of the songs are instantly recognizable."Shout to the Lord" and "Blessed Be The Name of The Lord" are standouts, but there are a significant number of "top hits" in this set.We probably sing one-third to one-half of these songs during church services, which is one of the reasons I decided to suprise my wife with WOW Worship: Blue.She's had it in her CD player for several weeks now, and there's no sign that she'll be replacing it soon!

Great to Exercise Both Body and Spirit!
I love this set of CD's.I teach Water Aerobics and I use them alternately for getting the heart rate going and my toning classes.The selection of songs work well to exercise physically and, I've been told by my students, that they felt lead into a rich worship experience by the end of our workout.I lost one of the CD's last summer and am looking to replace it.A great buy!

Off The Chain!
This CD is awesome.My favorite song is fix it but I love them all.I gives a different flavor to Gospel Hip Hop.I will be buying his other CD's.If you want somthing uplifting and want to bump too...this is the CD for you!

Definitely Creative Ministry!
** This CD is really my favorite, even above the Fred and Mary Mary. Also even above the mass choirs, this CD is my favorite because of its closeness and realness to me. Not only does Canton Jones get you crunk, but you can realy feel the lyrics because of their truth and accuracy in this generation. You can't help but be lifted, be drawn, and get "bout it" for Christ!

I believe the previous reviewer's assessment of this CD was unfair. The reviewer's opinion that this CD "is more geared toward people who are transitioning from the Word to the world," is an inaccurate review of this CD and has the implication that the artist's relationship with God is wavering.

Not their best album...
I really appreciate the music ministry of Watermark, especially after they led worship at our former church in Houston several years ago.That was a tremendous worship experience in so many ways, in large part because the Knockels' heart was so evidently pointed to God.
honest humble worship
This music is God-centered, grateful worship.It truly leads the listener to worship from the heart in spirit and truth.The musicianship is skilled, but not ostentatious, never detracting from the ultimate goal of recognizing and adoring our wonderful God.

Wow Worship: Red 2004
This was a gift to my husband for Christmas.He has been so excited over it.Says it was more than he even thought. thoroghly enjoyable.

Another Blessing WOW'd Upon Us
WOW chose some really great artists for this two disk set.I preferred disk one, but both disks had praise that filled my spirit with God's love and kindness.I've seen several of these artists in concert and I was reminded of how powerful God's spirt can touch my soul when I dedicate some time and receive what God has blessed them with.All the lyrics are included with the CD and I enjoyed reading them as I listened.Maybe not quite as good as their yellow disk, but very comparable. ... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE
I just got this CD a day ago and I am so in Love with it. I love almost every song. I just play this ablum straight through, for the most part. My fav. tracks are I Choose Now, Letting Go, Before You, Consumed, Meaningless, Love You With My Life, Whatever I Can't Erase, The Fight. Anthony Evans is a greater wiriter and he composed lyrics so well. This album is annointed and you can just feel his passion for the Lord in every song. I can honestly say that I can relate to every song on his album. Anthony if you are reading this keep allowing the Lord to use you the way he wants to, this album truely touched me.

I enjoyed the CD very much. The music is just a bit different from his first album, but the lyrics on songs like "Consumed" and "Whatever I can't Erase" certainly touched me deeply. Especially the beautiful viloin that opens the song, "Whatever I can't Erase" and the soulful beat to "Consumed." For me, it's a must buy...

Restored has been 'restored'!
If you liked his restored CD, as did I, you will obviously like this one.The only catch is that you will probably like this one better!!This JC disc has all the same songs from the first 'Restored' disc, plus four, count them, FOUR NEW TRACKS.Two of those tracks are new ones written by Mr. Camp, and two are worship songs covered by Mr. Camp.

Outstanding series; best way to get into contemporary gospel
I've been following gospel music for some time as both a fan and a performer. While I haven't been playing much over the last few years, the WOW gospel series has helped me to stay current with gospel music and find new artists that inspire me. Putting together a top shelf gospel compilation is a real challenge. On the one hand, many worshippers like the big choir sound of artists like Hezekiah Walker. Others dig the more urban contemporary tracks that borrow more heavily from R&B. This compilation is great because it's an affordable compilation that will expose you to a wide range of talented artists.
Great.......... A Real Blessing
This album is i think one of the best in the WOW Gospel Series. Songs like "I Got a Testimony" and "Be Encouraged" are a blessing, and uplifting. "Order My Steps" and "The Battle is The Lords" are powerful. "Total Praise" by Richard Smallwood, words can not express how much this song speaks to my soul. This album is a must have in the series.

very moving
This is a powerfully moving worship experience.I saw this tour in concert, and the presence of God was so real.These guys are not 'performing'.They are truly leading in worship.There was no emphasis on one person or personality.The whole evening was centred on God.
Awesome!
Incredible songs, lyrics, vocals, instrumentals, and it really has a great flow for worship (the last half).I really like the variety of lead singers, and the mix of piano/guitar.This CD along with Israel & New Breed's "Live from Another Level", is my favorite right now for just getting into worship at home or in my car.

This album is amazing! I know others have mentioned this, but it anything that comes out of Hillsong Australia is truly awesome music. The music is rock, but it's also worship. You The songs make you want to jump up and down, praising God.

Great Choice for Children's Choirs!
I teach in the choir program at a Methodist church.I've used these songs with kids from 1st through 4th grade.They love two of the pop-rock style, more contemporary songs on the second disc - Let the Walls Fall Down, and I Walk by Faith (even though the intro to this one is kind of strange).We've also used the song Beloved for our children's church anthem.On the first disc, the arrangement of As the Deer is quite beautiful, and great training for young voices.This is a bargain at the price listed today as I'm writing - $7.

We should train/lead our children down the right paths in life.In doing so, I have found that praise songs can be a great asset!
