Another anointed worship experience
The more I listen to this album, the more I enjoy the worship experience of it.My husband was not at all familiar with contemporary Christian music when he met me, but he is now listening to this album nonstop whenever he drives the car that currently houses it.Listening to these songs is a great way to start and end any commute and helps to put us in the right heart- and mindset on our way to church, too!

Not Impressed
First off I think Bart Millard is one of the best singers I have ever heard.I also really liked Mercy Me's first three albums.However, Coming Up to Breathe doesn't even compare to Spoken For, Almost There, and Undone.After listening to this album all the way through the first thought that popped into my head was "generic".What I mean by that is the lyrics.I feel that today in Christian music the lyrics are becoming quite stale.I think Mercy Me has caught I touch of this.I do think however, that they are fully capable of rebounding from this album.
Little Ditty at the end
I was really take back by the "dead" space at the end. I thought it was a defect in my CD and the little ditty at the end I thought was a miss tape. I was glad I did not take it back to the store as defective. MercyMe did not list the song on there jacket. It would have been real helpful if the ending had been published in the booklet provided.

Best Mercyme album!!

Cannot Say Enough About This Album!
From the opening, Southern accented verse of "I Worship You," you know you are in for something special.Bart's voice is more powerful than most other Christian singers (like Third Day or Casting Crowns).While this album is not as balanced as "Spoken For," you get a lot of solid tracks with: I Worship You, I Can Only Imagine (pretty sure you have heard this song!), Here Am I, How Great Is Your Love, and Cannot Say Enough.With these songs, you knew that MercyMe was going to become big in Christian music.There's just something about them that is so accesible, and I think it shows because "I Can Only Imagine" is still played all over secular radio stations.I also think it is awesome that MercyMe has never sold out or tried to "cross-over."They have stayed true to God and His message, and you can definitely hear it in their honest music.

Nicol Sponberg's (formerly Smith) voice is as formidable as there is in popular music. Resurrection is a powerful, uplifting record. The title track and Hallelujah are especially good, the latter making full use of her powerful voice with angelic choral backing.

As Good As It Gets........
I Can Only Imagine is a compilation of probably the best Christian songs ever. They range from older songs(from the 70's) to songs that you may have just recently heard over the past few years. I first saw this CD when I was at my local library and decided to borrow it. Boy, I was glad I did. Honestly, ever song from start to finish touches your soul. You can go through both discs without saying "eh, I wonder what's next?" You can't always say that with CD's, especially two-disc ones. Personally, I think the two most heart-wrenching, touching songs are "I Can Only Imagine" and "Rise Again." If your a newer Christian or have been saved for decades, you will fall in love with these CD's.

I can only imagine
I am really enjoying listening to this CD. There are also other songs on this CD that I had never heard before that I've fallen in love with. It's a great CD to get you into the mood for workship.

A Missed Opportunity
When i first heard of this album's concept and title, i couldn't wait to buy it, track-list unseen.What a missed opportunity!Rather than "power anthems", this CD offers a mis-mash of CCM adult contemporary, covers, and the occasional actual power anthem.

Transcends "Christian Music"
Variety of elements including blue grass and electronica infused in this album are not new from Crowder, but to be celebrated nonetheless.Whether or not this is his "best" album depends upon prefence, because each album to date has been quite distinct from the others.The worship songs on this cd transcend Christian/pop/electronic/blue grass labeling of expression and is just great music!

Incredible, Inspiring, Awesome!!
This is the first of the David Crowder band CD's that I have ever heard. I am STUNNED. There are some amazing songs. My #1 favorite song is "Do Not Move." Being a worship leader, this song is right up my alley. I am always on the hunt for new worship music. This song moves the spirit in a way that most Christian music does not. You are "My Joy" is my next favorite. The songs just dives right in to the minor, passionate chord progression. Moving. "Wholly Yours" is great; "We Win" is such a fun song. There are a few songs that I don't care for, but you get that with any CD. This is in my top 5 for sure! I highly recommend it!!

Sing with the Lark
David, you are indeed the lark! I thought Illuminate was a conduit to a higher realm... This CD will make you sing, will lift you to a higher level. I love ALL of it, especially the track "Come Awake" which paints an incredibly beautiful picture. If you're not "into" Christian rock, listen to this CD 3 times before you judge and by then I think you'll be hooked. It's brilliant! ... Read more

Please stick to preaching and prophesying!A singer she is not.Why does everyone feel that if the Lord bless them with one gift, now they have to write books and make cd's.Oh no...not this time. This is horrible.Her voice is absolutely meant for declaring the Good News but surely not singing ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!!

This Album is Sick!!!
The Lord really used New Breed on this album. The music is tight and the drummer is off the hook on this album. I'm looking forward to the next album!!

Worshipful--buy the DVD to get the full effect
My husband and I are enjoying this CD more than any other CD we've bought in the last year. Let me start by saying this--if you prefer traditional or stodgy Christian music, this is *not* the CD for you. (There--I said it!) There's some cutting edge stuff for Christians--namely the song "I Am Not Forgotten", which made me think of a "Shakira-type" song. This is the seventh album from this amazing group

Christmas to enjoy all year long
This is one of the best Christmas albums I have purchased in a long time. Arrangements are not like anything I've heard before on traditional songs and the original material is excellent! I will be pulling this one out more than only Christmas time.

OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT A BLESSING! In my humble opinion, "A Timeless Christmas" is one of the very best Christmas projects to hit the market in a very long time. From track 1 to track 15, the glorious message of Christmas is told as only Israel & New Breed can tell it. Luther "Mano" Hanes lends excellent production assistance as Israel reels in special guests, Marvin Winans and his sister, Cece, Lalah Hathaway, Jonathan Butler, Marcus Miller, Gerald Albright and the graceful orchestral presence of the Beijing Symphony.I tell you, this CD is extraordinary. Until now, though I have a huge collection of Christmas music, I had but 2 all time favorite Christmas projects - The Quincy Jones production "Handel's Messiah: A Soulful Celebration" and Kirk Franklin & The Family "Christmas;" today, without hesitation, I add "A Timeless Christmas" to my list. Can't figure out what gift to give to your loved ones and friends this Christmas? Well, this CD will be a gift they'll cherise for many seasons to come. I love the CD, but must end with one question - where was New Breed mainstay, Aaron Lindsay?

Israel @ Christmas - Most Appropriate
I've been an Israel fan since Jan' 2004 when I accidentally came across New Season at a New Year's Gathering at a Friend's house.Since then, I have not been able to put aside anything musically from Israel.He and the new breed band consistently get the most rotations on my mp3 player, the whole year through, year on year, and it's always a special feeling when you know a new Israel cd is coming, it comes out and you get it in your hand.

Inspirational recording
We have bought three copies of this CD. The combination of familiar hymns, beautiful arrangements, excellent voices and fine symphony musicians keeps us playing it often.The music calms my husband's "road rage," he says, and I like to hum along.We hope the same groups will do a Christmas music recording.

A Stunningly Beautiful Achievement
Every once in a great while a musical artist has come into my life and grabbed my intellect and emotions. In the past its been Judy Collins then Nanci Griffith and later Alison Krauss. One day I heard Natalie Grant's "Held" on Sirius radio's Spirit channel and was swept away. This has got to be one of the most beautiful recording ever made. I got the album "Awaken" the next day and there are songs on the album that are already among my all time favorites....especially "The Real Me" and "Home". This is a truly gifted artist who can phrase a lyric with incredible tenderness yet belt out with the best of them. I have not traditionally sought out Christian Music but Natalie Grant grabbed my heart and attitude toward Faith. I have a feeling that's just what she wanted to do....she is now on the above select list of artists that will forever move me....not

Up until a few weeks ago I did not even know Natalie Grant.One night I found a website that had the video to "Held" and BAM! that was it.After watching and listening to that video I knew I had stumbled upon a very special person, and I ordered the Awaken album right there on the spot."Held" is one of those songs that transends all genres of music, and Natalie just poured her heart into singing it.Every song on the album is great, and Natalie's voice is topnotch.If you haven't seen the video to "Held" Natalie has been very kind to share it on her myspace.com page.

Powerhouse spiritual album that Inspires & uplifts me!
I'm 39 and am new to Natalie Grant, I had heard her last year when I d/l a song from her but for some reason didn't pay much attention to her. I wasn't ready yet or in the right frame of mind spiritually but now God knows I'm ready to recieve all things spiritually.

thank god for bands like mercy me
i think this album is great. i was reading alot of the other reviews and just had to write in response to some of them. i know we all hear music differently. some people seem to listen and hear mainly lyrics. i always hear the melody and the mix of the instuments. the lyrics for me are a bonus. with many of mercyme songs a huge bonus. now, that being said, not every song can be a hit. some of the other reviewers seem to think that every song should be a number one hit. that would be called selling out. let these bands write and perform from their hearts. there is a song on this cd entitled HERE WITH ME. the music in that song is as good as it gets. the chord structure is awesome. and when you add the extremely well thought out and meaningful lyrics to the music, you have a masterpiece, and that's what that song is to me. i couldn't believe that not one person mentioned this song in any of the reviews until the very last review which actually was the first. mike mcallister had mentioned that HERE WITH ME was his favorite song on the cd. i guess mike and i have something in common. thanks mike, maybe some day we can talk. as far as mercyme goes, i would highly recommend any and everything this band puts out. i feel bad for the people who will never experience bands like this. we are extremely lucky to experience MERCYME. also, the live dvd is a must have.

Good Worship experience
Take a few minutes to let go and let God.... listen to the upbeat, and uplifting.Good album.

Lyrics that are honest and though-provoking.
Reflections of Something is just that...songs that take a look at many aspects of life...struggles with self-worth and finding a place in this world, trying to comprehend mercy and grace, realization that God is always there, even when we turn away.

and you will not be disappointed. Both of Todd Agnew's CDs are full of really good stuff, to put it bluntly. I expect to wear both of my CDs out in the near future!

A 5 STAR RATING AND BEYOND....GOD SHINES THRU!!!
Todd isabsolutely and incredibly fabulous.As for me being a musician and into vastly different types of music,all I can say is WOW what a voice.The craftmanship of all the musicians are super great and so is the music.Very much like Creeds sound and Third Day all put together but also very differnet and unique as well.My favorite song on here is "MY JESUS".It stopped me dead in my tracks.The entire cd is super and speaks the truth about exactly how wonderful GOD is,how much HE loves and forgives us and how HE suffered the ultimate price for us.You can definately tell that Todd is filled with the LORD thru and thru.There is no doubt about that.I recommend this cd to everyone Christian or not.I feel that once you listen to Todd you will also experience GOD's Almighty Presence and abundant love and forgiveness.This cd makes you sit back and realize that honoring GOD in everyway is the best way.The only way!This music collection and Todd Agnew is a very wonderul gift from the good LORD above. ... CeCe Winans- Purify Us All!
I know I just wrote a review for Kirk Franklin's Hero, but the first gospel album I bought before that was actually CeCe Winans' Purified.I had come to the point that I really needed musically something to reach my spirit as overall I'm not getting it from just our everyday played mainstream music.Especially since I'm going to church on the regular now and totally enjoy when our singers put it down, I have been looking back to listening to more gospel music.Sure, I still listen to some mainstream music with it's crazy ways at time (I'm not changed totally, but I am in the process of changing), but it turns me away from it more than it turns me on to it.Maybe it's the good Lord speaking to me.I don't know, but back to the topic at hand.I was so glad that CeCe was the first album that connected to me.I put it into my Discman one night and just loved it from the very start.It is just so calming to listen to her music, it's like anything that you go through at the point is totally lost for awhile as you listen to her lovely voice.As someone said before I wrote mine, the album is very soul-soothing!Momma's Kitchen is one of my favorites as we all can relate to the song, at least virtually most of us with those good memories of growing up and being together with family and sharing those good times and wanting to go back to that.So beautiful!You Will is just as lovely, but Pray takes the cake for me.This was the song that prompted me to buy her CD as I heard it on the Celebration of Gospel on BET.So great of a concept and I totally love the beat and feel of the song!Something we all can take from when times get rough and to just speak to God through prayer and just talking to him.All I Need and Just Like That keep the theme of great songs rolling along, all the way through I Promise (The Wedding Song) up to the last three: A Place Like This, Purified, and He's Concerned.Such a beautiful woman with a lovely voice singing some wonderful music that can take some of your pain away.This is an album to buy if you are looking to get back into gospel or just want great gospel music.Thanks, CeCe!5 stars!

I love Cece's voice. She's so incredibly annointed, however I've never heard this album. Actually, I'm not even rating the album itself, but Cece's incredible beauty. I mean seriously...she's an incredibly beautiful woman. I mean like seriously, seriously hot. I seen her on TBN not to long ago and I was like...whoa! Who's is that fine sister?!?!?! I don't know who she's married to, but take it from this single white boy...brother...you are incredibly blessed of God to be married to a woman that beautiful and that talented. Praise experience
This CD has many of the praise songs that are both familiar and appreciated. A good listening experiece to take you into another realm. Definately recommended.

Beautiful, Anointed Worship
Although Matt Redman is a great song writer and musician, his true anointing is as a worshipper.This excellent live recording allows us a glimpse of Matt's sensitivity to the Spirit's leading in worship, without ever compromising production quality.
Love Matt Redman
This is a great CD! Although, since it is a live CD, so all of the songs don;t have that off the radio sound. Also, many of the songs have been recorded by other artist other than Matt Redman, so, although they are HIS songs, they don't always sound the same as what you have heard before.
