Praise the Lord!!I had this cd for a while but I decided to write a review about it today because it helped me through a difficult moment of my life.As I was listening to Believe I started feeling better ,rejuvinated, this is the incredible healing power of Yolanda Adams lyrics.Absolutely great !This cd is for everybody. She is truly blessed with a great, powerful voice and her songs deliver hope and faith in the Lord.Reccomended!

5-0 out of 5 stars The HOTTEST Yolanda Adams CD EVER!!!!!
This cd is one of Yolanda's best cd's, if not The Best. Almost every song on this albulm is inspiring and motivational!! You won't be dissappointted..I have most of her albums, to date, even Day by Day (2005). But, its something about Believe that keeps me coming back.....You Wont Be Disappointed!!and for the prices that some have on Amazon, I would most definitely jump on the offer, ASAP!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Full of inspiration.A wonderful, wonderful album.
I enjoy this whole album.Everytime I listen to this CD I feel so much better about my day, and my faith is recharged.I like I never have to skip a song when I listen to this CD.There are so many times I press repeat and just let a song repeat 2-4 times and start singing right along.Yolanda was blessed with a beautiful voice, and her songs are always right on time. This is one album you should have as part of your gospel collection.Yolanda gives her all in every song she sings.Believe is an excellent, excellent album.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best
This is by far one of the best worship albums ever. God is so evident in every note, every word, every cry. I'll be honest, it took me a couple times through before I found it wonderful. But now it's one of my favorites. Let Matt guide you into the throne room of the Most High and let your praise ring true to the King of Kings!

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazed
I was truly blown away with the first song. Every single track on this album is both musically and lyrically. Redman is a very natural worship leader. His voice is captivating, and keeps with you throught the entire album.
5-0 out of 5 stars Truly Amazing! A must own!
This is what a worship album is supposed to be. (That is all I really need to write, but I will go on...) From entering in worship with anticipation on the very 1st song, to each and every song after. Even after the last song it is like I want 10 more songs, I guess I just don't want it to end. It is sooooo awesome! But as all good things have to, it obviously does. Each live song builds in to the next, which basically takes you right there into the courts of the King. There is incredible depth in this album and real passion and reverence for our Lord, that not many worship songs or albums have. It is not for the faint of heart, or easy listener. Get ready to turn it on and spend some time on your face! Everyone who loves worshipping God needs this album. It is raw love for an Amazing GOD! I absolutely love every song! Musically, Lyrically, Everything A+++++++

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth thte Price of Admission
Not as good as his last two albums, but as the usual Shawm McDonald The Rider on the White Horse is worth the price of admission alone on this album. You do not get any more spiritual than this when you hear this and imagine Jesus on His White horse, riding in a haunting rythmic style that makes you look up at the heavens in the middle of sunset watching and waiting for His return. This song alone and Ramblings of a Beggar are worth the the admission of the CD. Don't miss your chance to be blessed.

4-0 out of 5 stars Almost as Good...
Shawn Mcdonalds "Ripen" is an album that soothes the ears and the soul. The lyrics are very real and you can tell he very much draws on personal experience with his songwriting.
2-0 out of 5 stars Tired, banal
Spirituality aside, Shawn's music is trite and insipid. The lyrics may appeal to you, and the balad-style rock may soothe, but he is entirely uncreative in his composition. Each song sounds precisely like the previous and the next. Worse yet, he sound like a poor, calmer rendition of Incubus. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Monotonous Album
Todd Agnew's song, Grace Like Rain, is an amazing song. However the album is composed of very similar songs... same tempo, same mood, same husky voice and instrumentals. The lyrics are so-so, some are inspiring, but the music is depressing, especially after 10 similar songs.
4-0 out of 5 stars Todd Agnew Gets Real
Todd has a real, earthy husky voice and we can relate to his songs. He sings as if he is one of us, as he is.

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful album of faith
Great songs, great heart. A little too "cute" on how Todd places the lengthy pauses between songs of the final track, but nonetheless a wonderful album. The title cut, "Grace Like Rain", is a classic. "Romans 12:1" is a keeper and the raw passion of "Wait for Your Rain" is absolutely powerful. ... Read more

Editorial Review

One thing that will hit you quickly about Jeremy Camp’s Live Unplugged is the number of radio hits the 24-year-old has already chalked up. Ten of the 11 tracks on this release were penned by Camp and nearly every one has reached the top, if not next to the top, of the Christian radio charts. It’s been an amazing ride for Camp and he capably displays his career highlights here in a relaxed and laid-back atmosphere. He plays it safe with basic arrangements throughout, but you will hear some nice piano touches by Justin Glasco on "Right Here" and "Empty Me." The addition of the Nashville String Machine is also used well on "My Desire," which may be the best track on the release. Along with Glasco’s piano accompaniment, Camp delivers powerfully and emotionally here and maybe even surpasses the song’s original version. Camp also shines bright on "Take You Back," "Stay," and "This Man." Kudos also go out to Camp’s wife Adrienne (who used to lead The Benjamin Gate) for some fine backing vocals. Granted, there are a few blemishes such as the cheesy vamp at the end of "Walk By Faith," a slower-than-it-should- be version of "I Still Believe," and the head-scratching cover of Tim Hughes’ "Beautiful One." But why major on the minors? Live Unplugged is a worthy effort and a nice inclusion to any Camp fan’s collection. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!!
This is a brilliant CD....The songs are naked and quiet. It's a true worship CD and one for the quiet time with God. The song "Beautiful One" is written by Tim Hughes from Watford, England and it's sung slightly different to the way he does it...but awesome none the less. The DVD is really great too and when watching it I felt like I was in the audience. Highly recommended! A+

4-0 out of 5 stars Agree with most everything......
Let me say that I agree with almost everything positive expressed by others already.I'll just round out the comments a bit by commenting a little on the technical nature of this DVD.I found the camera work a bit distracting. For my tastes there were too many quickly moving camera angles.Made it hard to focus on the guy singing the music - like you would at a concert. There was also a lot of moving between B&W, out-of-focus, introduction of scratches/spots to replicate damaged film, graininess, etc.Seemed like the post production people wanted to use all the toys in the digital editing toolbox. The soundtrack is also only in stereo. Not bad, in fact, very good but certainly not up to the DD 5.1 standards of other DVD's such as the Eagles. So yes, it's very good but not quite 5 stars.

5-0 out of 5 stars Ministers to my heart
Let me preface this review by saying that I felt for some time that Jeremy Camp was losing his edge, and that his first CD, Stay, was as good as it would get for Jeremy. He released Carried Me, a worship CD, on which some of the songs are remakes of other artists' work, and one song is even carried over from Stay! Then came Restored, which to me sounded a lot like Stay, but without some of the edginess. I hesitated to buy this acoustic compilation of songs from his past 3 releases.

5-0 out of 5 stars Can't stop listening to it!
One day while out driving around I heard the song "History" and it stuck in my head.I finally broke down and bought the CD.It's WONDERFUL.I usually skip around on CD's (from song to song) because usually you only get 2 or 3 good songs. You can put this CD on and leave it, just let it play. It's so good.Matthew West is so talented, he wrote/co-wrote every song.I love the music (not too hard or soft, not the same sound over and over). These songs really deliver the message of God's unfathomable love and grace, which is something we all need to hear more of.Just ordered his "Happy" CD!

5-0 out of 5 stars Get up and dance!
Very few albums are good all the way through. This one deserves 5 stars for sure. It's catchy, makes you feel good, and has a great message. What inspired me to pick this album up was flipping through the radio I came across the song, "Only Grace", and it was just what I needed for my day.Pick it up you won't regret it.

5-0 out of 5 stars From Seeing him in concert
After seeing matthew West in concert after he came to my college university and sang for a packed chapel full of UMHB students, I was completely blown away and touched. His songs were so beautiful and had good rhythm and beat to them that I couldn't help dancing along as he sung them.Going into the concert I thought I wouldn't like him, but I did.So give them a chance, you won't regret it and get their cd today! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars One Church Project
This album was recorded live at the West Los Angeles Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) back in July of 2004 and I am telling you the Americans do know how to record a live album in contrast to some of the British live projects.
5-0 out of 5 stars C'mon...It's Kurt Carr!
I have enjoyed Kurt's music in the past and it was just hard to imagine him being able to keep up the awesome work. But, he did. Believe me, the whole cd is great.Every song seems to flow right into the other and they are SO encouraging. If your down and feeling like you've given much and gotten back little, in addition to prayer, listen to this cd!Where your prayer may be "Woe is me", after listening to this cd it'll be nothing but praise! Go on, what are you waiting for? It's Your Time for God's Favor!

5-0 out of 5 stars Kurt Carr is just BAD!!!!!
Kurt Carr is a man who has a passion for music. His ability to think outside the box and bring something unique to gospel music is uplifting (aka Let God Arise). As a person who only listens to gospel music, I have a deep respect for those writers and musicians who continue to develop quality church music. And Kurt Carr is definitely A1 on that list.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great stuff, if not what one might expect...
I have heard John Michael Talbot in concert a few times over the past several years and enjoyed a wonderful worship experience.Though his Catholicism has some clear distinctions from my own Protestant beliefs, I find that Talbot truly has the heart of a worshipper, which will connect with Christians of all stripes.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great Value, Great Tracks, Could Do with Some Remastering Though!
JMT is an exceptional artist and would be in any musical genre. His great singing voice coupled with his great songwriting and musicianship means that we Christians should count ourselves blessed that he has chosen to use his gifts for the glory of God.Many of the tracks on this 35-track double-disc album have been covered by other artistes and his obviously heartfelt renditions of his material totally inspires his listeners and reminds them of God's great love for them. The only thing that could be inproved upon is the sound quality which could do with some remastering using the modern-day sound technology that is out there.Otherwise, this is an excellent worship cd and comes very highly recommended.35 tracks on 2 discs at less than 15 bucks? If that's not great value, I don't know what is.

3-0 out of 5 stars Soothing Sounds to Satisfy the Soul
Peaceful, Serene, Poignant and Beautiful.I have listened to this collection repeatedly and find it to be a worshipful experience. There is an intangible simplicity and humility that come through. For the busy mind, the troubled heart, the wounded soul, here is food and drink. 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome!
"Awesome" is the one word that best describes this CD! I'd heard of Newsboys, but searched for the music after hearing Amazing Love (You Are My King) at the Lifesong church on Sunday. Can't wait to hear more from them. Inspiring & rocking worship and praise music.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I like the CD, it did not take too long to receive the item, and it sounds great.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Worship Album that isn't "too worshippy"
I love this album because the music is fantastic, not schmaltzy as some praise music can sound/feel.Each one is fun to sing and I think they capture a wide variety of praise moods. The song "Lord (I Don't Know)" got me through a rough time, and I enjoy "Take My Hands (Praises)" so much we incorporated it into our VBS program last summer."In Christ Alone" and "Great is Your Faithfulness" are new twists on classic hymns, if in name only. There isn't a song on this disc I don't like. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Treat yourself to this CD!
Worth every penny. Great songs by Clay Aiken, Mark Schultz, Amy Grant, Michael Smith, etc. I love it. The WOW Christmas 2005 might be slightly better.

4-0 out of 5 stars Disc #2 is the best
The first disc remakes most of the songs you've known from childhood, but they make you prefer the traditional tune. HOWEVER, the second disc is incredible, which includes a surprisingly sultry rendition of God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen by young talent Bethany Dillon and a tearjerking Mary Did You Know by Clay Aiken.
5-0 out of 5 stars Modern sounding Christmas music for a modern world
My wife loves Christmas but I used to work in a mall so listening to traditional Christmas music still, to some degree, makes me cringe. In my attempt to find something we can both enjoy I picked up the new WOW Christmas 2005.This album is all about modern music. If you're looking for traditional sounding music you might be disappointed in this (leaving room for error based upon the fact that while this has a modern sound it's done very well). There are 15 new songs and 15 'traditional' songs so this album has something for everyone. While I mentioned above that the songs are done in 'modern' sounds, keep in mind that the genre of modern changes.Natalie Grant offers "Joy To The World" for example while has a modern gospel sound to it.Rebecca St. James' "Hark the Herlad Angels Sing" is done in a modern rock sound.Steven Curtis Chapman's "O Little Town of Bethlehem" has a traditional sound to it while the very next track is "O Come All Ye Faithful" by Toby Mac which can be called hip hop.As you can see there's truly something for everyone. It's very different and yet it all blends together - isn't that part of what Christmas is about? The Christmas season brings many different people with many different backgrounds together and this is truly celebrated with this offering. ... Track 3, Be Thou My Vision, was a surprise as the song was the final song played at my father's funeral. It set the closing mood most fittingly. While Be Thou My Vision is my favorite the entire collection is wonderfully mellow.I recommend it for for the mellow moods.

4-0 out of 5 stars Reverent, beautiful
After criticizing Windham Hill in the past for often recycling the same songs over and over in various collections, I have to hand it to them with the new "Prayer" CD.It's a fine set of all-new acoustic versions of hymns or spiritual songs, plus a good number of original compositions.Producer Dawn Atkinson has done an excellent job of lining up a bunch of top-drawer people for "Prayer," and in working with the artists on the song selection.Read more

Editorial Review

By turns mournful and mystical, these 14 Celtic lullabies performed by musicians from around the world give voice to the experience of mother and child in haunting, evocative folk songs. "More often than not," veteran Irish singer Nóirín Ní Riain writes in the liner notes, "a true lullaby is more indicative of the mental state of the mother than of her wish to lull her child to sleep, and so often her frustrations find a legitimate voice through song." 4-0 out of 5 stars Lovely celtic lullabies
I bought this along with "Golden slumbers: a father's lullaby" for my baby. All in all I prefer this CD much more over the Golden slumbers CD, which is very Musak-y. Celtic Twilight, Vol 3has lovely celtic/folksy songs that I would listen to any time of day, not just for falling asleep. The songs are mostly about mothers' feelings for their babies, from what I can tell by the lyrics. Some are very touching, and others soothing to listen to.I highly recommend this album if you like celitc music and/or folk tunes.

5-0 out of 5 stars All three of my children fell totally alseep to this cd
I totally recommend this CD.this is my first review and I just had to write about this CD.I have used it for all three of my children.Every time it calms them down and lets them fall alseep.I enjoy the music and it is not annoying children music.I actually taped it so I had copy in my car(No cd player) But Now I have a CD player so I am buying another as well as one for my new niece. My daughter falls right to sleep when I put it on!Thank you Celtic lullabies, you have been life saver!!!!

Very disappointing. Not at all consistent with the usual quality of SSQ.There is only one song that somewhat redeems the album "Forgiven Again".

I saw this group on one of Bill Gaither's specials and knew I had to own their music. The songs took me from tapping my toes to my eyes welling with tears for love of Christ.Thank you for your dedication to our Lord and putting it in music form to share with the world. It is an excellent selection of songs that are beautifully done. All inspired by love for the Lord.

5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely incredible
Ernie Haase & Signature Sound have put out an album that honors the old Southern gospel quartet sound, while adding new wrinkles with new material. An absolutely incredible album, and a must-have for all gospel quartet fans. Plus, they're extremely fine Christian men to boot; see one of their shows and find out first-hand for yourself, as they're generous with their time to fans. They have a lifelong fan in my daughter; their message and energy struck a chord with her, and helped to pull her out of some troubled times. God bless each and every one of them. Also, please pray for Ernie Haase & Signature Sound as they spread God's message. ... Read more

Stacie Orrico has got to be by far one of the best pop singers I have heard in a while...she reminds me of Christina Auguleria when she first came onto the scene.Stacie has an amazing voice, one that will blow you away. And the first song that I heard by her was Stuck and it was alright it made me notice her with how she kept the bridge of the song riding and how smooth her voice was, but I didn't get to really hear her skills still I heard There's Gotta Be More To Life" and when I heard it I said to myself "I'm going to go get that!" and thats exactly what I did.Her voice is very powerful and she could very well be in a leauge of herown, I put her up there with Christina, Beyonce, and Mariah and that is saying a lot! I give 2 thumbs way way up!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty good
This is the only ablum out of 3 that I own by Stacie Orrico, and I really like her! She has a great voice, and the songs are very well-written. I really like it that her songs are sweet and encouraging in some ways, which is probably her way of spreading the gospel to others. I've had this CD for quite a while, but I wanted to write a review to share with others about what I think of it. The first song I ever heard by her was "More to life", and I was blown away by that song! I loved it! I gave this 4 stars because it wasn't NEARLY as good as I really thought it would be. You'll see why right here, when I talk about these songs.

4-0 out of 5 stars good variety of music
I love these two cds and believe anyone of any age would enjoy them. They are terrific contemporary worship songs that point our minds to God.My favorite songs are "All in all" by nichole nordeman, "In Christ alone" by geoff moore and Adreinne Liesching, and "Your Love, O Lord" by Third day. There were a couple songs I didn't really care for like Out of Eden's version of "Every Move I Make", "Let Everything That Has Breath" performed by Matt Redman (I like the original version done by Cademan's Call on the City on a Hill cd much better.), and "The Happy Song" byby Delirious. They are not horrible songs though. All the songs sounded up to date, no 80's sounding stuff. If you are looking for great pop worship songs that aren't too loud but not too quiet and boring either, then this is the cd for you.

5-0 out of 5 stars WOWWORSHIP:YELLOW
I love every song on this CD.The songs are uplifting and familiar. This is one CD you can play over and over again.

5-0 out of 5 stars The WOW albums are great because . . . . . . . . . .
What makes these compilations so great is that the songs ARE NOT always performed by the original artist or songwriter. The reason this is so special is because you get to hear other artists take on a song that makes it almost it's own new song. An example of this would be ZOE Girl's version of "Jesus, Lover Of My Soul" from WOW Red. The song by itself is great, but then ZOE Girl's version adds tons of power and depth. Another great thing about the WOW series is that when the original artist does perform, they may do a modified version of the song that you cannot get anywhere else. An example of this is "Draw Me Close " from the Katinas on WOW Yellow or Chris Tomlin & Steven Curtis Chapman doing " We Fall Down" from WOW Red. I love hearing different artists sing the same praise songs because they bring a different flavor and vibe to the song. The WOW series are worth every penny and THE BEST praise & worship music around! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Much Afraid...Timeless
Much Afraid has to be one of Jars of Clay's best albums to date. Each song has so much expression. Much Afraid is timeless, In 2007, the album will be ten years old and the songs will never become outdated. Jars of Clay are a genius group, I know each track had to be ahead of Its time. I think It may have been overwhelming for some, but Much Afraid is a very deep album. From the start when I first heardCrazy times, Fade to Gray, Frail and Truce, I was hooked. These are the songs that become timeless. I think Jars of Clay has broken the barriers of conventional music and ingenious composition.

4-0 out of 5 stars best gospel album ever
This is still my favourite gospel (rock) album ever. Although I also like Adrian Snell's The passion. What sets this apart from other releases are the catchy melodies, the heartfelt lyrics and pure emotion. I'm a music fan and this is just a good catchy record. Don't let the 'gospel' genre scare you there's a lot of good music in this genre, rock and rap.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is Jars best album by far.
...and also one of the top 20 albums of the last decade. Period. It is truly a buried treasure. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than the last
This cd is filled with passionate songs written by a very humble man. I was thrilled to hear that Robin put out a "sequel" to Revival in Belfast and this did not disappoint. I love it even more than the first. For one thing, Robin wrote more of the songs on this one than the last. For a second, they are still filled with the great sounds of the old country - pennywhistle and uileann pipes. Finally, it is encouraging to hear such great music from such a humble musician. I have met Robin and he is inspiring because he views his work as nothing more than any other servant would do.

2-0 out of 5 stars Blah
After a hit comes the sequel, which is usually quite bland.Same with this CD.Revival In Belfast was outstanding, but Revival In Belfast II is quite different.Gone is the Celtic beat.Even Robin Mark seems to have lost his Irish brogue. This CD sounds like a million other Christian CCM CD's.Sorry, but if you want a Celtic Christian music CD, this one is not it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fulfilling the purpose of giving glory to God
No question Robin's music is my most played Worship music.I own the 3 CD's available here.My family and I were blessed to see Robin live and hear the stories behind the songs such as "Soul's Desire" and "Wonder of the Cross".Glorious music from a humble "star". ... Read more

Editorial Review

In 10 years, Steven Curtis Chapman has charted 26 No. 1 hits, three Grammy Awards, and 32 Dove Awards (Christian music's equivalent of the Grammys). This release offers some of Chapman's best work in addition to two newer singles, "Not Home Yet" and "I Am Found in You," and rerecordings of "Lord of the Dance" and "The Walk," from the brilliant Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great way to get introduced to SCC
I really like Steven Curtis Chapman's songs. The music is very good guitar-driven rhythms and the lyrics are great. This Greatest Hits cd captures the best songs from the first half of his career (First Hand to Signs of Life).I wish it would have included "Let Us Pray" and "I Will Not Go Quietly", but other than that I found it to be a wonderful way to hear a lot of his songs. This CD is a great place to start you SCC collection; I'm sure Greatest Hits 2 is in the working to gather songs from his latest cds (Speechless, Declaration, All About Love, and All Things New). Now go out and get it!(I would have given it 4.5 stars but amazon does not allow that yet!)

5-0 out of 5 stars the best of the early years
This collection contains some of the strongest songs of Steven Curtis Chapman's early career, and serves as a launching pad for all the albums to come.He has grown in strength and confidence over the years, and this album singles out those tracks that have captured him at his peak through each stage.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Man
While, I'm not a "marching in line" conventional, conservative type Christian, I can appreciate Steven's heartfelt melodies and searching lyrics. In some of his lyrics I find an innocence that is refreshing, refreshing in this day and age when a lot of people assume they KNOW all the answers. He is less arrogant than some of the other contemporary Christian singers. ... Well, Casting Crowns put out a GREAT sophomore album. The music is uplifting and encouraging. For a few bucks more, you can pick up this DualDisc, which gives you access to two live songs (Praise You In This Storm and What If His People Prayed) as well as an Iworship version of "Lifesong" which was fun to watch. You also get a nice video about getting help with running a youth group, if that interests you.
