5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible CD
I have one word for this CD 'INCREDIBLE'.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best Corporate Worship CD of all time!
Yes, David Crowder Band is my favorite to listen to, but this is the ultimate in corporate worship.A praise and worship band could easily do a whole set of just these songs and the crowd would sing along loud with every word.My favorites include: Enough, Not To Us, Wonderful Maker, Famous One, Unchanging, and Come Home Running. But let's face it, there's not one bad song on here. And judging how good "Arriving" was, Chris Tomlin has proven that he is the real deal.He has a great voice, great song structure, and you will always find a bible-centered message. This CD is timeless and I will have it forever (or until the CD disintegrates from being overplayed!).

5-0 out of 5 stars Thank you Lord for Chris Tomlin!
One day I fall down on my knees and said everything I haven't said to Lord before, over the song Enough From that moment on I started to lisen to every Chris Tomlin song that could ever come out.And comeing the from town Grand Saline, Texas we hear him a lot. YES,Chris Tomlin use to live in Grand Saline so it's a big honer to have him in our town.Thank you lord! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kristin at her best
This CD As I Am is so good! Her voice is awesome, it has different styles of music, and each song is pleasant to listen to.The arrangements showcase this wonderful singer and I am so glad I bought it..

1-0 out of 5 stars So Sad
I am one of the early Chenoweth fans. Her TV show, Charlie Brown, Wicked, and her first album, were soooo fab.How did she wind up dong an album even Kathie Lee Griffin would be ashamed of?

4-0 out of 5 stars Very Entertaining
Had been reading and watching Kristin for the last few months, was surprised that she had a singing carreer also. Ordered the album, and was pleasantly surprised how well she sang. This album is a good collection of christian and pop music.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome way to say "Adios"
For me, I've never been really big on Audio Adrenaline. Most of the songs on their albums have been hit or miss so it was never worth it for me to own an album of theirs. Even their old greatest hits album didn't work for me, but not this one. This one's chunky. It has the best of the best of their songs (minus "Dirty" from Worldwide) and what better way can one say "Goodbye" while going out in a "Blaze of Glory"? I reccomend this cd to fans and "hit or miss" folk like myself.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great way to go out
I am truly sad to see these guys go as you can tell by my nickname I am a huge classic rock fan but no matter who I listened to I always came back to these guys. They are Christian Rock at its best. I have all of their albums from their self-titled debut to this one. I'm still going to wait for their anthology but I don't think its going to happen.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Collection!
This is a superb album that deserves to be in the collection of any fan of great Christian rock.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bland, bland, bland
They were going through some blah years I guess when they recorded this one and "Sea of Faces". Usually praise and worship songs stir the soul but I found this CD lacking in the thing I like best in musicians - emotion. The sound of the songs ground me down. Kutless' "Strong Tower" really started to lean by the end of the CD. I was actually glad when it was over!! It has since gone on my CD shelf and hasn't gone into my CD player again. Maybe I can sell it on Amazon or some auction site? Hmmmmm

5-0 out of 5 stars Step out of your preconceptions and actually LISTEN to this great album!
This is not your parents' worship album. You'll know that from the first guitar riff on We Fall Down, Strong Tower is a combination of new music and traditional worship songs with Kutless' own spin. The second track, Finding Who We Are, is sung with real conviction. "In You, we're living. In You, we're moving. In You, we're finding who we are." It's completely believable, and it feels like the lyrics could've been written just for them.
5-0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars, All The Way
LOVE this CD.I keep it in my car for my interminable commute to work and back. The band knows how to rock out, but the spirituality comes through strong.

5-0 out of 5 stars Martha's Best Ever
I would rate this CD in the top 10 gospel catgory for 2006.This is the best CD Martha Munizzi has ever made.It is ministering, uplifting, and even faith challenging. When I listen to this CD I receive energy and renewed faith. You can also sense the influence of Israel Houghton in this CD.Most dual CD's have grade A thru grade D tracks. This CD has only grade A and a few grade B tracks.Truly a remarkable dual CD - get it and receive your spirtual High!

4-0 out of 5 stars This Martha Munizzi fourth project to be released in the UK to date
This Martha Munizzi fourth project to be released in the UK to date and I most say the beat just goes on and on. One amazing skill Martha is anointed with is the ability to ministry a track with few words which places her on the specialist league in my opinion just Like Bishop T.D. Jakes on his sermons.
5-0 out of 5 stars A New Level
Before I bought the CD I read all of the reviews to see what others had said. I chose to buy to it because there is no way that an anointed woman of God can fail and her CD proved me right. Martha takes you to a whole new level of worship, while showing you that praise is a weapon of warfare. My favorite songs are Great Exchange, Renew Me, Till the Walls Fall, and While You Worship. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A Different Handle on Handel
This recording was given to me as a Christmas gift, and quickly became one of my all time favorites. I love Handel's Messiah, and consider it one of the all time greatest classical works ever composed for voices and instruments. That said, this contemporary interpretation is also wonderful. It features some of my favorite artists (Stevie Wonder, Take 6, Patti Austin); I especially love Tevin Campbell's "I Know My Redeemer Liveth," which never fails to move me. I not only listen to this music at Christmastime, but whenever I feel the need to be lifted and lightened.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Christmas Album
I've had this CD since it first came out, have bought and given many copies to friends (some even on cassette tape - remember those?), and play it year round. This is simply my favorite piece of Christmas music and is one of my top 5 favorite CD's of my entire music collection.I play it LOUDLY in the car and at home and have been known to break it down, measure by measure, in order to figure out the arrangements.I've performed the traditional Messiah more times than I can count and love it, yet I am delighted and astounded every time I listen to this fresh, innovative and dynamic piece of music (like I said, year round).Thank you, thank you to all the musicians, artists, engineers and technicians who put this piece together.I agree with a previous reviewer - I think Handel would be so very pleased that his work is standing the test of time.Open your mind and your ears and enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars *HEARTSWILLDANCEFORTHEJOYOFEASTER*
This recording of Handel's "Messiah" has several cuts of that great work - - Some may stand your hair on end! But remember, the album's sub-title is "A SOULFUL CELEBRATION" - - words that perfectly describe it . . . Many will choose the album for its lively cover art:

I enjoyed listening to just the sample of the song Get ready for your Miracle. God has already told me who I need to share this song with so that she can be encouraged to know God has a miracle just waiting for her. Thanks for the spiritual feast in the word through your songs. 5-0 out of 5 stars Good stuff...
I'm not a huge Third Day fan, and I find the worship album genre to be totally saturated. However, this album emerges near the top.
5-0 out of 5 stars Not your Grandma's worship album
I love Third Day, and this album, while a different feel from their other, more "rock" cds is fantastic.I love worship music that doesn't feel drippy or trite, and this is it.From the beautiful "Love Song" to the powerful remake of "Agnus Dei" and the great cover of Dylan's "Saved" this is a picture perfect modern rock CD.The song "Thief", basically a narrative of the repentant man on the cross next to Jesus is very thought-provoking and moving, and don't miss the hidden track at the end.

5-0 out of 5 stars A CD I Keep Going Back To Hear
I love Third Day and, of all their CDs, this is the one I keep putting in the car stereo.I just saw them a couple of weeks ago on their current tour and they played several songs from this CD (my favorites are "Consuming Fire" and the one they said was their most-requested song, "Thief").

Editorial Review

It may seem curious to the casual music observer that Texas-based pop band Sixpence None The Richer, who had one big hit in "Kiss Me" and one semi-hit with their version of the La’s "There She Goes" would have enough material to release a greatest hits collection in full album form as opposed to, say, an EP. While both tracks are included here ("Kiss Me", in fact, shows up twice), other songs culled from the band's archive, as well as contributions from assorted compilations, provide plenty more listening pleasure for Sixpence fans as Leigh Nash's sleepy vocals complement catchy hook-driven melodies in slickly produced studio arrangements. Some of the brighter spots on the record are actually covers of other artists' greatest hits that force Sixpence None The Richer out of their comfort zone and into more intriguing territory, such as on Crowded House's "Don't Dream It's Over" and ABBA's "Dancing Queen". Three previously unreleased songs are also included. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Should've been a 2 disc set with "Best of the Early Years"
1. Loser Like Me ~ A catchy song with quirky, honest lyrics. This is one of the 3 all-new songs, and a prime reason to own this album.
5-0 out of 5 stars The last reminder is the best!
Farewell, Sixpence None the Richer. The duo of singer Leigh Nash and musician Matt Slocum split almost exactly two years ago, but their music continues to live. This CD is no exception. It contains the best of their songs, from the immensely famous and catchy "Kiss Me", to the lovely cover version of "Don't Dream It's Over". I have another country's edition, one that has 19 tracks. Some songs from this US version are not in the edition I have, and vice-versa.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very good pop music, but none of the songs are good enough to earn this a "5" - you'll still like it a lot - 4.5 stars
Sixpence None The Richer was one of those early 90's pop groups that churned out some decent, not great, pop music hits. They weren't as good as any Prince or Michael Jackson pop song, for example, but they were at least not entirely cheesy. The vocals, however, ARE pretty cheesy and are most certainly a guilty pleasure. The songs definitely have a unique sound to them as the band definitely found their sound, and they all are relatively decent or good. The lyrics are all fun to listen to, but none of them are that interesting longterm - they're essentially just really really catchy. For casual fans of the band, all their hits are included on this CD ("Kiss Me", "There She Goes", "Loser Like Me"...etc). The downside to the album is that the songs are all basically novelty songs that neither inspired future musicians nor stuck with most people to form any sort of following. However, if you liked their songs then you'll love this collection. Highly recommended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Stellar debut!
Friends of mine bought tickets for all of us to see Mark Schultz about 5 years ago. I had no idea who he was, only that he was a "new" Contemporary Christian musician. I cringe at that label, because there is so much garbage out there that calls itself "Christian". I figured that I ought to know the songs, so I took a listen at the samples on Amazon. Even from those short snippets, I knew he was something special. I ran out the same day and bought the CD. Every song is worth listening to! I love his mastery of the piano, and his voice is incredible. He is one of those rare songwriting masters, also. He can tell a great story in his music, and not only are you wanting to hear the music, you'll find yourself dying to know how the story ends. He'll make you laugh and cry. This CD is not to be missed; and I don't just mean for Christian music fans, either!

5-0 out of 5 stars A great album...
I first became familiar with the music of Mark Schultz when I heard "Remember Me" at a friend's wedding.Shortly thereafter, I bought this album and have since become a big Mark Schultz fan.
5-0 out of 5 stars Mark Schultz "He's my Son"
This song is one of Mark Shultz' best, he has so many good songs, but this one really reaches deep down into your heart and touches you.Although you don't see the progression of this father son relationship it is obvious from the lyrics that this father was a good dad who spent time with his son and nurtured their relationship as a father should. The care, love, and compassion that this father shows for his child who is dying of Luekemia is the same love that Jesus speaks of in the gospel of John. In the song, after explaining the suffering his son is going through he pleads with God to "Let me take his place somehow"It says in the bible in John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends." It is so refreshing to hear a song that expresses the great love a father has for his son and to know that God the father loves us in the very same way. Jesus layed down his life for us and that is the greatest love of all.

5-0 out of 5 stars Front porch music!
You don't have to be particularly religious to enjoy this cd.Down-home comfort music just doesn't come any better.I'd start namin' off favorites, but nearly every song is a potential earworm.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great bluegrass touch, masterful delivery!
Oh, how perfect could it be! This Randy Travis worship album is perfect all the way around. Not only does it present excellent bluegrass arrangments (this music is REAL- you can even hear the picks stricking the strings of the instruments!), but Randy's sweet, emotional voice makes all of these old songs a brand new experience.
5-0 out of 5 stars No one is perfect, but..............
this album comes close.I gave it five stars for many reasons, even though I think he should have left a couple of songs out (But, that may just be me), and included others better suited to him. But, that's true of most artist's albums. How many times is there a 20-song album that is perfect on every song?I would think "never", and that is true of this album also.I've seen many other lesser albums rated 5 stars, even with one or two mediocre songs, but this album one has 20 songs on it. How much more do you expect for your money, Elvis singing a duet with Jesus?O.K. maybe that isn't funny, but you get the point.

This 1996 collection of Rich Mullins's finest work is a must-have for any Christian-music fan. A quick glance at the song list will make one marvel over the significant influence this masterful songwriter has in the CCM world. "Sing Your Praise to the Lord," Mullins's first recorded work, helped launch Amy Grant's superstar career. "Awesome God" has become an anthem sung by youth in many churches in America. But let's not forget the plaintive "Calling Out Your Name" or "Hold Me Jesus," two oft-covered numbers that further testify to Mullins's genius. The praise-and-worship theme that flows throughout Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars These Songs' are worth Owning
It was late 1989 or early 90',pretty near the end of the concert when Rich started playing that familiar little piano intro,I imediatly recognized it and thought "Why in the world is he playing that song? That's an Amy Grant song!"Then, just as quickly i remembered,"He wrote that song!He has every right to play it as anyone else".Rich made the keyboard sound like an orchestra that night, even though he was backed by a full band.During "If i Stand" he noticed I was singing along to every word and stopped playing and singing and said that it was really humblingto him to see the crowd know all the words to his songs.I met him after the concert and he was very nice, though his hair looked like it hadn't been combed in days.I still have the album he signed for me and I remember chatting with him on this and another occasion a few years later. This man, like Keith Green was one of a kind. His albums are all brilliant, but this one is a definate must have. His version of "Sing your Praise to the Lord" blows Amy Grant's out of the water easily."Verge of a Miracle",a song written for one of Rich's friends who tried to commit suicide has a message that is as relevant now as it was back then when it was written."My one Thing" is a catchy pop song with a great chorus.I think we can all remember the first time we heard "Awesome God",we knew it was different than the other songs on the radio at that time, who knew then that years after his passing ,that it would be sung in churches all over the world in different languages. The music is timeless, the production is superb, the songs and the message are sent from above.I reccomend Rich Mullins music to everyone!Enjoy!

This CD has many of the praise songs that are both familiar and appreciated. A good listening experiece to take you into another realm. Definately recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, Anointed Worship
Although Matt Redman is a great song writer and musician, his true anointing is as a worshipper. This excellent live recording allows us a glimpse of Matt's sensitivity to the Spirit's leading in worship, without ever compromising production quality.
4-0 out of 5 stars Love Matt Redman
This is a great CD! Although, since it is a live CD, so all of the songs don;t have that off the radio sound. Also, many of the songs have been recorded by other artist other than Matt Redman, so, although they are HIS songs, they don't always sound the same as what you have heard before. That being said, the CD is a wonderful selection of Matt Redman's worship music. It is uplifting & inspiring. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Superb worship
Third Day set high standards for themselves when they released Offerings: A Worship Album, in 2000.The second in what will hopefully become a series of worship releases by the Georgia quintet, All I Have To Give equals, if not surpasses, the first effort. With six new studio tracks and six live concert cuts, this CD will gratify fans who are eager for exclusive material, and inspire thousands to sing along in worship to God.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good follow-up to the first
This album is a great worshipful album, with mostly slow to medium tempo worship songs."Creed" is probably the most uptempo song on the album, and I find it a bit jarring in the context of the album. It's a great song, but doesn't seem to "fit" where it is in the album.
5-0 out of 5 stars Third Day Rocks!
I love everything that Third Day puts out. This worhip album is no exception.I found myself singing along with most of the songs and smiling and worshipping, too.Great buy! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Singable?Worship+Able
This is a good CD and I've often seen people comment on how "canned" and "unsingable" a a CD set might be but it shouldn't apply to this great compilation.
4-0 out of 5 stars Conference Memories
I think what many people do not understand about this CD, as well as Sacred Revolution, is that they are live recordings from conferences such as OneDay and Passion. The songs on these CDs are mere snippets from the over-all experience of each conference. To me, they serve as reminders of the conferences & bring back memories of what I learned & experienced there (which, at a Passion conference is always profound & challenging).Unlike at a concert, where the focus is on the music & audience enjoyment, the songs at a Passion conference specifically coincide with what is happening, either the message that was just given, or perhaps the focus of the moment (missions, prayer, adoration, a specific verse etc). The CDs contain the "most memorable" songs & moments for those who participated, which probably doesn't necessarily resonate with those who weren't there. The artists on the CD all have their own albums, which are probably more representative of their musical abilities & are produced for a wider audience. If you haven't attended a Passion conference, you may not "get" this CD.So instead of complaining about this album, I'd recommend all the artists' individual projects: David Crowder Band, Chris Tomlin, Charlie Hall, Shane & Shane, Christy Nockels.

1-0 out of 5 stars poor excuse for worship music
This is a pep rally on CD; an unsingable, emotionally charged pep rally. It really upsets me that this is the face of today's Christian music. The melodies are not easily singable at all, and the songs use all the same musical cliches. This is worship manipulation at it's best.If you read the words to learn something concrete about God, you will find nothing of substance. They talk about actions to give God and our response to God, but no meat-and-potatoes of WHY we should be doing this.God IS great, but WHY?This is VERY disturbing, and completely unacceptable for congregational worship. ... Editorial Review

From the early days of her career when an energetic teen-aged Rebecca St. James burst on the Christian music market, she defied conventional wisdom. The voice was unlike any other, the music sported styles from classical to 80’s new wave to techno-pop, and the net effect was like a breath of fresh air to casual listeners and fans alike. After a worship- focused release and extensive touring, this likeable Aussie is back with her best effort to date: If I Had One Chance To Tell You Something. The overall mood is transparent, open, and a revealing set of songs that chronicle the highs and lows of a woman embracing her faith. "God Help Me" is a great starter, a dark and smoldering rocker with a sense of urgency and RSJ sings "I’m running out of time to live/Running out of love to give/Running out of life within/God help me." "Shadowlands" and "Alive" also are lively, rock-tinged tracks showing she has plenty of spunk left. Ms. St. James also shifts gears smoothly to a more reflective, quieter mood on "I Need You" and "Forgive Me," the latter featuring nice supporting vocals from Barlowgirl. Another highlight is the magnificent worship cover of Hillsong United’s "Take All Of Me" as RSJ’s powerful vocals soar like an eagle above the richly orchestrated music. The diversity that flavors this release is noteworthy, but don’t call Ms. St. James a chameleon. A chameleon changes its colors to suit the environment. No, this is an artist who wears a coat of many colors and on If I Had those colors shine brighter than ever before. Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Not quite TRANSFORMing but one of her best nonetheless
This album's being hailed as St. James' return to rock and indeed the guitars are more in your face than on past efforts but it's not likely to remind anyone of P.O.D. or Linkin Park. Rather, it's more of rocky pop sound not unlike Evanescence or Kelly Clarkson's last release (uncomfortably so at the beginning of "Alive" which apes "Since You've Been Gone" so closely as to risk lawsuit.)
5-0 out of 5 stars One of Rebecca's best!!!!
I got this CD for Christmas and I LOVE it!! This is my 2nd favorite RSJ album(the first being Transform). It is different than her previous albums. It has more of a rock sound to it than her earlier projects. If you don't like RSJ,but like rock, than you would like this album. I told my friend Savannah(who hates Rebecca St. James) that this album had more of a rock sound because she likes rock. She bought this CD and liked it!! If you believe this 14 year old girl and buy this CD, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!
Okay, this has now officially trumped "Wait for Me" as my favorite CD, and I just got it today. My favorite songs are God Help Me, which is an astonishingly dark, agonized cry for help which I have felt enough pain to relate with; Alive; You are Loved, which expresses a desire I've always felt: to be able to speak directly and anonymously into someone's heart, telling them something that they really need to know but would be kind of awkward to say aloud -- usually, as Rebecca says, it's 'You are loved'. Then I also loved Shadowlands; Love Being Loved by You; I Need You, which is such a simple, moving song about a really close friendship that it makes you want to cry; Beautiful Stranger, about how whenever you help anyone, absolutely anyone, in need, you're doing it for Jesus; I Can Trust You; and Lest I Forget, a soft song that says in its chorus,

4-0 out of 5 stars `Winans', `Hawkins' and `Crouch' are like brand names
`Winans', `Hawkins' and `Crouch' are like brand names - with gospel heritage and guaranteed quality attached to whatever they produce. And Vickie Winans is as seasoned a singer and minister as the more popular Winans or BeBe and CeCe.W2WSoL is a double CD (1½ studio, ½ live) appearing to be aimed at a wide Christian audience; the artwork oozes class with Mrs Winans in a Cinderella frock unsuitable for rush-hour commuting!More importantly there's a range of music styles so there's something for everyone, so to speak.
5-0 out of 5 stars Welcome Back, Lady!!
Vickie Winans has returned to the forefront in a marvelous way!A double cd packed with soulful, jazzy, heartfelt tunes that makes a listener want to pull the car to the side of the road, as I did to thank the Lord for blessing me throughout my life. I can already envision many in the traditional gospel community being conflicted about this project because there is little that would lead you to an overall churchy feel. And while I can appreciate that sentiment, I am certainly not disappointed in Vickie's effort right about now in the least. Mario's tribute to his mom with 30 reasons, literally had me in tears.I can only hope that my son can see the same in me!The only thing that left me with a question of "why" was her photo collage insert.Vickie is by no doubt a beautiful sister, as is her mother but I didn't quite understand the necessity of such.

5-0 out of 5 stars You Go Vickie
I just picked up this one mainly because I love "It's Alright".I didnt much like the video though when I saw it.It featured a marching band which I understood the concept since the song has a very heavy drum/bassline to it.But I did wonder where the direction towards God was.If you listen to the song...God is there, dont know why she left Him out of the video though. But, then again it seems like a lot of Gospel artists are doing this in their videos.Overall, I loved the album. It was 100 times better than her last effort.I had a problem with that one since it was about 50 remixes of about 5 songs. This one is a double CD and has something for everyone. It has upbeat tempos for those who love the R&B sound, some with Jazzy tempos (which I loved), some with slower more churchy like feels.I believe it is a very good CD.I was quite frankly surprised that I would like it this much...especially after the last one.Glad I stepped out on faith and got it. ...
