5-0 out of 5 stars awesome cd!!!
I am a hard rock person so if you don't like rock this isn't what you should get.I would give the vocals four stars and the music five stars. Some people think that this is a bad cd but I disagree.this band also has a great message.I think there a great christian band.

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth Listening to..........
I just bought this CD about 2 weeks ago at a Falling Up concert in my small county!! They were great in concert!! I give them 5 stars for their concert performance and 4 stars for this CD. The best songs on this CD(in my opinion) are Moonlit and Contact. Contact is the best song because it starts out softer, but does not get super rock-ish like all the other songs on this album. It stays at pretty much the same pace through out the whole song!! And Moonlit is just a catchy tune!! All the other songs on this album are fantastic too!! I do not think this would be a waiste of your mula.

3-0 out of 5 stars I don't listen to much Christian music
I'm not sure how Falling Up sounds in comparison to other Christian bands, so I'm writing this review from the perspective of an ordinary music fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars Despair shattered by hope
I just bought this CD and it hasn't left my player since. I'm at least 4 years too late in doing so-yes it is that good!I have 2 theories-if these songs were written pre-9/11/01, then, then Sixpence has the gift of prophecy. If post 9/11, they have the gift of reflecting America in mourning. This album is so of it's time. Confusion, remorse, shame and fear seem to grip these songs-occasionally the sun breaks through, and it is so beautiful. There is a song for artists on this album too, which I love.I have another theory that 6pence knew they would break up soon. I think they wanted to make this a masterpiece while they still could. And they did. Now, keep in mind that Leigh's voice is complex and not everyone will get it. Personally, I enjoy the fact that she will not bend to stylizations of her voice. It is what it is. She can't do it all. But combine the right song, and the brilliant acoustic guitar here with her, and you will be transformed somehow. What a great work this is. They will be remembered!

Qu puedo decir?Sixpence es una banda magnfica!!
5-0 out of 5 stars MY FAVORIT MELLOW ALBUM. One you can enjoy at the most.
well, well, well...why people? why? why all these bad reviews? This is an extrodanary album. WONDERFUL melodys. AWSOME, deep lyrics. BEAUTIFUL art and pictures. Before this album i was a virgin to SPNR(besides their for history, kiss me and there she goes) maybe thats why i like this album. Its jest so...there. So...settleing, devine, relaxing. I am now a huge fan of SPNR. i have THE EARLY YEARS, DEVINE DISCONTENT and of course SIXPENCE ONE THE RICHER, their fist album, all wondeful. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars So excited!
This cd starts out with "The Truth", a great song with awesome fast and screaming guitar riffs and superb vocals by Matt Theissan. His voice and musicianship is getting better with each appearance. Then, "Apathetic Way To Be", Dave Douglas their drummer sings lead while Matt proves his lyrical brilliance with his play on words: "The half of me is all about apathy, and the other half just doesn't care. Yeah, being apathetic's a pathetic way to be." After showing that they can truly rock they give us 3 acoustic versions of three hits: Be My Escape, Which To Bury, Us Or The Hatchet?, and Overthinking. They finish with 2 soft songs that I have come to love.Things are looking insanely awesome if they keep this up for their next album due on February 6th, 2007

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing cd...
This cd is just a taste of whats to come for Relient K.And frankly, it can only get better. As their last release "Mhmmm" was quite amazing, with clever and witty lyrics, tunes that rock your sox, and with a god centered message about life in it's self and such; Apathetic Ep is one of the best ep's you will ever hear. They pack so much in with alot of acoustic guitar and piano, but give you just a little sneak peak of what's to come with , "The Truth" and "Apathetic Way To Be"."The Truth" is now probably my favorite K song at the moment. It combines their creative lyrics with an amazing change in tempo and tune.I give this cd a amazing two thumbs up!If you don't have, "Mhmmm" you should definetly buy it.

I've already listened to samples of her new CD.Its even better than her first one!!! More rock in it! anyways this is an amazing debut album.I love it the way to begin and anticonformity are the best songs on the CD!

4-0 out of 5 stars A pretty good Cd
When I first listened to this Cd, I didn't like it one bit. I enjoy it now and listen to it nearly every day. Her voice is definitely different from most artists, but she has talent. My favorite songs were FIRE, ANTICONFORMITY, and REFLECTIONS OF YOU. You might not like this Cd at first, but I think that, after awhile, you'll start to enjoy it. Good job, Krystal.

5-0 out of 5 stars yes.
relient k and anberlin got together, had a baby, and named it run kid run. fantastic use of the stop and go guitars. the chords they use aren't the standard power chords and most points and that's refreshing. super catchy, you'll want to bounce around when listening to it.

4-0 out of 5 stars A very fun pop-punk cd!
Run Kid Run are not the most original band out there. OKAY!
2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
When I picked this cd up at my local Christian bookstore, I had heard very few of Run Kid Run's songs. As I started to listen to the cd, I was expecting to be surprized by how good they were. As it was, I was slightly disappointed. This band is nothing new. They combine Relient K's music with vocals from Green Day, Hawk Nelson, Olivia the Band and Relient K. That's it. All of the songs sound the same, and nothing stands out. The one song I like Is Wake Up, Get Out. Over all, This Is Who We Are is not worth the 14 bucks I paid for it. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars Ska/punk!
Still retains a sense of humor unlike all the emo/screamo bands that surfaced in the last few years.
5-0 out of 5 stars FIF...the king band of ska...
I just got into ska about a year ago when a friend from skewl introduced me to Five Iron Frenzy's "O Canada", which he had on his MP3 player. It got me hooked, that kind of silly humour just fit me so well. I wanted to hear more and I found out that they were a Christian band (awsome!) and that their style was ska. I cannot get enough of them and I am EXTREAMLY sad that they broke up about two years before I first heard them. I would have loved to have seen them live...even if it meant flying to Denver to see 'em (yes, they're that good). "O Canada" remains one of my faves, but "On Distant Shores" beats them all, with ingenious lyrics, music, passion for Jesus, and its all in ska style. Even if your not a big fan of ska and have never heard these guys before, you might want to consider them simply because they're fun to listen to and many of their creative songs convey their feelings of history ("Crazy Horse"), American culture ("Vultures"), Christianity ("On Distant Shores"), humour ("Pre-Ex-Girlfriend"), and themselves ((also funny) "At Least I'm Not Like All Those Other Old Guys"). I just don't see how you CAN'T like 'em!

5-0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing. There is Nothing like it
This CD is the best I have ever heard. It is far more than just music to me, and it's so sad that FIF had to break up.They will be so sorely missed.I won't go into details of the CD, I wouldn't do it justice.Buy this album! You won't be disappointed. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Good, But Predictable
The Newsboys release another worship cd(yawn). While "Adoration" was an interesting and well done cd, "Devotion" continues that trend without adding anything new, exciting, or different. I guess if something works, you stick with it but this cd just kinda left me wishing for more. There are some gems on this cd but nothing can top the simplicity or impact that made "It is You" so powerful. Particularly forgettable is their version of "Blessed Be Your Name", which is a shame because they really do a great version of this in concert. This is a talented band who really can "Shine" when they want to. If you're a new fan, check out "Thrive" which I consider to be a true highlight of their remarkable career and fervent ministry.

5-0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable
Why is it that Christian music is (on average) about 5 or 6 years behind secular mainstream? I mean, it's like they know that since they're a Christian band, it's supposed to be dulled down to make sure it doesn't offend and to ensure a spot on KLove? It's because of these reasons that I gave up on Christian music for a few years. Until now.
4-0 out of 5 stars Nearly as good as Adoration--a very good worship album
Peter Furler and Company have followed up their excellent worship album Adoration with a second worship collection titled Devotion.I loved Adoration, and Devotion is nearly as good.Furler has turned it up a notch this time, as Devotion is a bit rockier than its predecessor. My favorite tracks include "Blessed Be Your Name" (on which Furler duets with Rebecca St. James), Presence (Heart's Desire) and "When The Tears Fall."I also like the title track as well as "Name Above All Names," "I Love Your Ways," "Landslide of Love" and "Strong Tower."While I like Adoration best, Devotion is also very good, and these are two of the best worship albums to come out in recent years. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars yeah!!!
This is relient k's second best CD and i totally love it, i love the religious songs, and even the weird ones are okay.Anyone who disagrees with me is on crack.

4-0 out of 5 stars Certainly a step up from their debut!
Not to knock their debut, but The Anatomy of the Tongue in Cheek makes their first album look like child's play. The overall musicality and songwriting improved TREMENDOUSLY, and the slight chessiness present in some tracks from the debut is basically gone. "Sadie Hawkins Dance" has become a RK classic, and is just a fun song. In fact, there is an abundance of fun songs on this CD! :) Additionally, there are plenty of serious, profound songs on Anatomy. "For the Moments I Feel Faint" is a gorgeous statement of faith that tells you to "never underestimate my Jesus." An essential message to hear when going through a trying time. Survival and overcoming obstacles is certainly a theme present in this album; see "Pressing On" and "Breakdown" for examples. The boys also make social commentary in songs like "Down in Flames" and "Maybe It's Maybelline." Overall, the songs complement each other well to make one great CD. ... Read more

This band rocks. If you like Pillar or Skillet this has a simular sound.Only difference is it has a female singer. This can also be compared to Benjamin Gate with more of an edge.Only 4 stars because only a few really rocky songs that I like.Gretchen has upside potential.Hopefully they continue releasing cds.If they keep being produced by Travis Wyrick they can't go wrong. All they need is to tour with a couple larger name bands to get their name out.I'd be about the only one at the show to see them.

4-0 out of 5 stars D? shows that both their faith and music keep getting "Stronger"
Delirious? is one of the few Christian artists I really enjoy. Most Christian music is pretty cookie-cutter with predictable ballad-type music and straightforward (and often shallow) lyrics. That stuff I can't listen to, but Delirious? has gone beyond and makes real music, with their own definite, intense sound. Frankly, they can hold their own with U2, but they'll never get the same huge audience because their lyrics are explicitly "Jesus freak" Christian -- which is a great thing.
5-0 out of 5 stars fire
bear with me.. i'd describe shane&shane's music as the passion of a Christian's walk with God.. david crowder band as the joy.. and delirious? as the fire/fiery passion(?) for God.. as God's army.. true.. the songs sound the same.. if ur mindlessly listening to the music while taking the train home.. but these songs have lyrics for a reason.. and what heart-felt lyrics they are.. honestly.. i don't think i could have appreciated this album or delirious?'s heavy hand in the rock genre if i didn't see them in concert.. which is when i saw the heart that was behind every word sung and note played.. which is when i saw the sincerity pass the fog machine and professional lighting.. for a band that could so easily get caught up in themselves and their own glory.. delirious is a breath of fresh air during at time when more and more artists dance over the line of Christian and/or mainstream artists.. delirious? never hides the fact that they love God.. that they are here for God.. and all that they do is for the glory of their Heavenly Father.. now that's how it should be done.. also reading the background on the songs while listening to them is quite moving.. especially for "i'll see you" and "miracle maker" ([...].. scroll to the bottom)

5-0 out of 5 stars The best album I own!
This is my fave album of all time. I'm a big fan of Third day and Jars of Clay, and I liked Delerious?, but was a little put off by the way all their songs sounded the same. Well, they certainly solved that problem!!!

For fans of The Benjamin Gate, this has been a long-anticipated release. However, Adie's sound is quite different from what it was when she was part of The Benjamin Gate. Her voice is of course still beautiful and amazing, but it has more of a continual sound to it on this disc, whereas, when she sang with The Benjamin Gate, there were much more dynamics to her vocals.

Let me say that first and foremost Jars of Clay is my favorite band and I have been listening to them for nearly a decade. The first three albums were superb, and Who we are Instead is also an excellent album. This album is definately JoC's most bland and cookie cut album. The biggest problem I have with this album is that it's song are of a typical mainstream christian idealism, a category that a lot of contemporary christian artists have unfortunately been emmersed in.Don't get me wrong, songs about God are more than encouraged, I love Worlds Apart, Much afraid, Hymn, and just about any other jars of clay song. But there was a level of uncertainty, passion, and doubt in Jars of Clay's songs. The songs on this album are, like I said earlier, christian cookie cut. There is nothing special about the lyical content of this album.I also have to say that revolution is one of my least favorite jars of clay songs.A song that basically states over and over again, hey, you don't have to conform to the rest of society to become a revolution.Weak lyics, it is very obvious that you need not conform to change stuff, but it stops there, it would also seem obvious that one would be required not to conform to society to be any influence to another person.I'm dissapointed to be writing such a lack luster, whiny review about my favorite band.If you like cookie cutter christian songs, get this album, also be sure to pick up Avalon too. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Loud gospel rock adults can sink their teeth into
I am a junior HS youth worker hanging out with students while pre-service music programmed into an ipod was playing through the sound system. The tunes coursing throughout the room were one mundane millenium christian rock or rap tune after another that today's kids listen to.I barely noticed it.Every song sounded the same one after another. Then suddenly, this guitar-driven rocker is rollin' and it's got my attention.I'm thinkin', this would sound awesome turned up loud.I went up to the sound board and checked the display on the ipod.I'd never heard of Decemberadio.
5-0 out of 5 stars DecembeRadio Brings Back Stadium Rock!
DecembeRadio released their self-titled debut album June 27, 2006 and with that release they brought solid, straight-ahead arena-style rock `n' roll back to the airwaves.Their style of rock is reminiscent of the seventies stadium rock groups like Kansas, Boston and Aerosmith and a pure southern-rock sound like The Black Crowes or Lynyrd Skynyrd. In fact, I was at a recent show where they covered Kansas' "Carry On My Wayward Son" and also covered the Lenny Kravitz tune "Are You Gonna Go My Way".If you are familiar with those songs and know that they "rock", then you will love DecembeRadio!

    Editorial Review

Self-described as "just a girl with a guitar," Knapp, the winner of the 1999 Dove Award for best new artist of the year, crafts acoustic folk-rock in the vein of Lilith Fair rock-maids, yet founds her lyrics on her relationship with God rather than on that of a beau. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Refreshing and Inspiring
Jennifer Knapp is a style unto her own as many here have already described. An unashamed testament to faith and her own (and Mankinds collective) shortcomings, Trinity is an inspired, insightful song causing one to look within one's self for their own core values. It has a great deal of meaning to me personally and I would suspect others would find it as such as well.
5-0 out of 5 stars I wish she would write more music...
Music can speak to people and touch them to lift their spirits, and faith in God. I think that this music is real and speaks to many.. I wish I could send it to everyone I know. I am working on it. : )
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Album
This is an excellent album by a very talented artist.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great CD
Kutless' self titled debut is a great rock album. It has distinctive vocals, powerful instrumentation, and solid Christian lyrics.
1-0 out of 5 stars no imagination
This disc lacks imagination. They sound Creed like but they are a wee bit softer. I dont like this music anymore but when I did I failed to realize that Kutless lacks meaning in their songs. I mean look at the titles Down, Away, Tonight. Not that these songs are confusing metaphors like some Christian rocker"s songs are. These songs lack depth and creativity. And the music sounds like any other band out today.
5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely better than Thousand Foot Krutch
Already loving 'Strong Tower' and 'Sea of Faces' (alright, so I was late to the Christian rock scene), I decided to get both this album and Thousand Foot Krutch's 'Phenomenon' at the same time.Kutless is clearly the better band in this instance because you can truly hear their devotion to Jesus Christ through their lyrics - unlike TFK.Their lyrics are hard-core, but they touch on the agressive aspects of faith that are typically forgotten in the wishy-washy world that we live in.Hats off to Kutless, and, sorry TFK, my Rawkfist has a thumb pointing down. ...
