Good solid set
Rock garden is an appropriate title for Ty's latest solo album.The singing and songwriting is par excellence and well Ty's playing, what more can be said?The melodies that we love and the thunderous guitaring make for a very pleasant follow-up to "safety" which has certainly had a fair number of runs through my cd changer.Here the songs are more upbeat and we even see Ty with a big grin on his mug on the cd booklet.Without getting into long drawn-out comparisons to King's X latest releases and why doesn't Ty sing more songs than Doug, etc etc...just get out and buy it because you probably aren't gonna hear it on radio.

Perfectly titled...
Rock Garden is perfectly titled.A great place to retreat to with headphones on... a place that really rocks.The guitar sounds on this are, to me, much more King's X-like.While I love The Jelly Jam work of Ty, the guitar nuances on Rock Garden are much stronger.There's some great guitar sounds, riffs, melodic lines, soloing, vocals, song-writing... to me it's got it all.I keep playing these cuts over and over.
cause he's a guitar man
I love older King's X and was excited Ogre Tones returned to some of that sound. Gretchen is, to me their best album still. I really didn't like Moonflower lane and it's experimentation. I love Ty's work with the Jelly Jam and highly recommend those albums. Safety had to grow on me and I have to be in the mood for that slice of melancholy. Why do I say all this? Cause Ty finally let's loose on a solo album that I will always be in the mood for.

ALL around great cd
This Is a really good cd and all songs are worth listening to, the vocalist sounds a little like the highpitched singer from lincoln park but that's not a bad thing,if I have any criticisms it's that there could have been more change from song to song but that's just me. Still a great cd if you like it heavy.

Trusting Jesus!

Worship in light of the truth of God's word!
These songs have a message based on the everlasting word of God, which is good because we can only worship in spirit and in TRUTH.
God Focused and God Glorified
There are few CDs on the market that realign the heart, mind and soul to God...who He is and who we are in relation to Him.The music will grab you and the words will make you still...very still in complete reverance toward God Almighty.Thank you Louie and Passion team for the refocus on the Renown!

Passion
Overall a nice album. The compilation was more mellow than some of the past Passion albums, but good praise and worship music nonetheless. It was nice to hear some updated hymns ("Jesus Paid It All" and "How Marvelous") in addition to the new music. The CD had a real down-home feel. I wasn't too crazy about the song "Party," but I guess it added something for everyone to enjoy on the album. While I missed some of the prayers and scripture readings that wereincluded in previous Passion CDs, this is still a good one to listen to when you're having a down day and down-time. ... Read more

Glad I got it
I heard this cd in someone's car and they were playing "God is Awesome God" in different languages and it was so beautiful.It seemed each song afterward was just as beautiful. They invoked praise! It comes with 2 disc's and I really like the second (not too fond of the last song though OOh Child).My favorite song is the one with Joann Rosario...this is a worship song for real.I think you'll be pleased...but definitely listen to the song samples and see for yourself.

I have been eagerly awaiting the release of Bebo's sixth album (including Fabric of Verse).I have to admit I was a little scared about this album because of Try, his last album that was a little disappointing for me.However, Between the Dreaming and the Coming True is in no way a disappointment.The day I recieved the album I put it in my cd player and there it still sits (only took it out to put in on itunes).

Blown away!
I don't usually write reviews, but was so amazed that this CD had so few reviews and, at least in my area, very little radio play.Every single song on this CD has a very powerful message and is a joy to listen to.

Mark Harris is a wonderful artist and if you are looking for a good Christian CD, this is it.He touches on every aspect of life, including parenthood with his "Find your wings".I play it over and over and over....................

I heard the 1st release of this CD on the radio, and had to have it.It brought tears to my eyes, and still does everytime I hear it.The CD is filled with great melodies and the vocals are terrific.My 15 year old son asked if he could burn a copy to his IPOD, so it reaches across the generation. It's Grrrrrrrrrrrreat!!!!!
This recording is vintage early 70s... Schwartz is compositionally at the top of his game... Day by Day is one of the best songs in my mind ever written.... it's a beautiful musical.... it's Jesus hippie, Jesus freak gospel.... can't top it!!!

Inspirational recording
We have bought three copies of this CD. The combination of familiar hymns, beautiful arrangements, excellent voices and fine symphony musicians keeps us playing it often.The music calms my husband's "road rage," he says, and I like to hum along.We hope the same groups will do a Christmas music recording.

A compilation album the 9th in this out standing series.
Just when I thought that Gotta Have Gospel 3 was the Best. Here comes WOW Gospel 2006 a double CD with 32 tracks to rock or quench any musical thirst. This album is compiled to cater for every musical taste or style. There is a blend of up tempo and mellow vibes. From Contemporary to classic and from worship to R&P and the story just goes on and on.
Cream Of The Crop !!!
This WOW CD is Awesome!!!!! WOW did it again, they chose the most popular artists with the greatest hits of the year and compiled it in this 2 cd package. Fred Hammond's song/ "I Will Find A Way, CeCe Winans/ Purified, Dietriche Haddon/God didn't give up on me etc!!!! I can go on and on. You will not be disappointed when you listen to this CD. A Stunningly Beautiful Achievement
Every once in a great while a musical artist has come into my life and grabbed my intellect and emotions. In the past its been Judy Collins then Nanci Griffith and later Alison Krauss. One day I heard Natalie Grant's "Held" on Sirius radio's Spirit channel and was swept away. This has got to be one of the most beautiful recording ever made. I got the album "Awaken" the next day and there are songs on the album that are already among my all time favorites....especially "The Real Me" and "Home". This is a truly gifted artist who can phrase a lyric with incredible tenderness yet belt out with the best of them. I have not traditionally sought out Christian Music but Natalie Grant grabbed my heart and attitude toward Faith. I have a feeling that's just what she wanted to do....she is now on the above select list of artists that will forever move me....not

Up until a few weeks ago I did not even know Natalie Grant.One night I found a website that had the video to "Held" and BAM! that was it.After watching and listening to that video I knew I had stumbled upon a very special person, and I ordered the Awaken album right there on the spot."Held" is one of those songs that transends all genres of music, and Natalie just poured her heart into singing it.Every song on the album is great, and Natalie's voice is topnotch.If you haven't seen the video to "Held" Natalie has been very kind to share it on her myspace.com page.

Powerhouse spiritual album that Inspires & uplifts me!
I'm 39 and am new to Natalie Grant, I had heard her last year when I d/l a song from her but for some reason didn't pay much attention to her. I wasn't ready yet or in the right frame of mind spiritually but now God knows I'm ready to recieve all things spiritually.

Love It All Year Long
I own all the Selah albums and this is one of my favorite two.(Bless the Broken Road is my other)I listen to it all year long.It's too great to put away for 11 months of the year.The last three tracks are by far my favorite.With their beautiful vocals and stiring lyrics you get goose bumps in the middle of the summer.

Worth Every Dime!
I accidently discovered this album by doing an iTunes search one night."Light of the Stable" caught my ear many years ago, but I never knew the song other than by "allelulia" and I didn't know the name of it.Selah's version of this song is just "kicking" and really fun to listen to, reminding me of the reasons I fell in love with the song all those years ago.The song that brought me to tears, however, was "Mystery".The message in this song is so powerful I'd sing with any time of the year, regardless of the holiday.As soon as I heard a sample of "Mystery" I bought the album.I played it every day in December.Awesome!

A Scottish Fan
I sent for 3 CD's of Selah recently.I hadn't heard of them before but the recommendations made me curious.Well I am overjoyed to put it mildly!!Over Christmas I did not stop playing Rose of Bethlehem, it is so beautiful.In fact I haven't stopped playing all 3 CD's since.I have had a beautiful Scottish Christmas and will be sending for more Selah CD's shortly. ... EXCELLENT BLUEGRASS!
I just recently got into bluegrass and when I heard this album I now love bluegrass.With songs like foggy mountain breakdown,rocky top and old home place this cd is great!!!! I think that I'm going to go out and buy a banjo today.

thank god for bands like mercy me
i think this album is great. i was reading alot of the other reviews and just had to write in response to some of them. i know we all hear music differently. some people seem to listen and hear mainly lyrics. i always hear the melody and the mix of the instuments. the lyrics for me are a bonus. with many of mercyme songs a huge bonus. now, that being said, not every song can be a hit. some of the other reviewers seem to think that every song should be a number one hit. that would be called selling out. let these bands write and perform from their hearts. there is a song on this cd entitled HERE WITH ME. the music in that song is as good as it gets. the chord structure is awesome. and when you add the extremely well thought out and meaningful lyrics to the music, you have a masterpiece, and that's what that song is to me. i couldn't believe that not one person mentioned this song in any of the reviews until the very last review which actually was the first. mike mcallister had mentioned that HERE WITH ME was his favorite song on the cd. i guess mike and i have something in common. thanks mike, maybe some day we can talk. as far as mercyme goes, i would highly recommend any and everything this band puts out. i feel bad for the people who will never experience bands like this. we are extremely lucky to experience MERCYME. also, the live dvd is a must have.

Good Worship experience
Take a few minutes to let go and let God.... listen to the upbeat, and uplifting.Good album.

1st and 2nd album are better.

Lyrics that are honest and though-provoking.
Reflections of Something is just that...songs that take a look at many aspects of life...struggles with self-worth and finding a place in this world, trying to comprehend mercy and grace, realization that God is always there, even when we turn away.

and you will not be disappointed. Both of Todd Agnew's CDs are full of really good stuff, to put it bluntly. I expect to wear both of my CDs out in the near future!

A 5 STAR RATING AND BEYOND....GOD SHINES THRU!!!
Todd isabsolutely and incredibly fabulous.As for me being a musician and into vastly different types of music,all I can say is WOW what a voice.The craftmanship of all the musicians are super great and so is the music.Very much like Creeds sound and Third Day all put together but also very differnet and unique as well.My favorite song on here is "MY JESUS".It stopped me dead in my tracks.The entire cd is super and speaks the truth about exactly how wonderful GOD is,how much HE loves and forgives us and how HE suffered the ultimate price for us.You can definately tell that Todd is filled with the LORD thru and thru.There is no doubt about that.I recommend this cd to everyone Christian or not.I feel that once you listen to Todd you will also experience GOD's Almighty Presence and abundant love and forgiveness.This cd makes you sit back and realize that honoring GOD in everyway is the best way.The only way!This music collection and Todd Agnew is a very wonderul gift from the good LORD above. ... A very unique CD!
Jars of Clay have been reinventing themselves since they formed as a group. Since their previous CD, "Who We are Instead", the guys have added a rootsy and folk element to their sound, and with great results. This album is no different. Each song, even though a traditional hymn, gets a modern twist and the Jars of Clay touch. The instrumentation is awesome, with driving melodies and catchy choruses.

Brave-Nicole Nordeman
I personally only like one song on this album and that is the first one.The rest of the songs I think are boring.I like the slow pace of the songs but they lack alot of melody and chorus for all the other songs.

WOW.....MY NEW FAVORITE CHRISTIAN FEMALE VOCALIST
We sang tonight along with the music of Nichole Nordeman at our church Praise and Worship service.Crying with joy and sadness over the words to "Hold On", it became apparent to me that we never know where,when and how we will find the love of God.I can't wait to order the entire album of "Brave". This young woman not only sings with joy, but tells us the truth about a grace we cannot afford to reject!!!!! We all want to lead a whole and everlasting life.

First time Listener loves Nichole's passion for God!
I'm 39, have only heard Nichole Nordeman ONCE and that was months ago on a music choice digital cable channel I believe. I have listened to mostly secular music with some christian pop/rock/r&b etc mixed in on a regular basis but very recently that has CHANGED! Now it's overwhelmingly christian music and some secular music. With that happening my life I have found Nichole Nordeman by checking out a christian album thread on a website and decided to check out her samples on amazon!

Good, but not the best United album.
I have been a huge fan of United for the last 3 years, and love all of their albums.While United We Stand is good, it's a bit of a letdown from the great release of Look to You.There are a couple of good songs, i.e. "The Stand" and "From the Inside Out," but fewer than in previous releases.Most of the fast songs are indistinctive, and are very similar to each other.The DVD is well done. The documentary portion explains the development of Hillsong's youth ministry and the music video shows the passion of the youth and the leaders.This is another powerful release for United, but it leaves a bit to be desired. ... Elvis was made to sing Gospel!
Very powerful performances and of course Elvis' voice is unmatched. He was made to sing Gospel. The only Grammys he won were for his Gospel recordings. An excellent collection. It includes not only official studio recordings, but also unofficial rehearsal recordings and some of the "Million Dollar Quartet" sessions.Some of these recordings are kind of rough and on others Elvis is obviously just playing around.If you are just wanting a collection of his more polished Gospel offerings, I would recommend the 2 CD "Amazing Grace" collection or the single CD "Ultimate Gospel" album.But if you want every Gospel song Elvis sung, this is the collection for you!

I'm in agreement with E. Lambeth's Spotlight review. I was born in 1960 and I was lucky enough to have a mother who absolutely loved the BIG E. Mom never owned or played any of his Gospel music, except for the handful of Hymns from his wonderful CHRISTMAS ALBUM. (That record was the family favorite.) Recently I've been rediscovering the roots of my upbringing in music and buying a lot of Elvis Box Sets, movies, and Live DVD's. I love E'S Gospel hit CRYING IN THE CHAPEL and I wanted some of his Gospel recordings. I made the mistake of purchasing the single CD, ELVIS ULTIMATE GOSPEL. By the end of the first listen I knew I had made a tremendous error. It was such a gorgeous experience I was overcome with AWE. I wanted more. I needed more. Brothers and Sisters, I had sinned. I was coveting. Friends, do yourself a favor, commit a sin and buy this Box Set. You're gonna need it too. If you have to, cut back on the tithes for a month. Jesus will forgive and understand that it's necessary for your soul. The first 2 discs contain mostly the great production values of his best Gospel Hymns and a few Live ones, while the 3rd disc contains some alternate takes and many acoustic impromptu jams that remind me of E's '68 COMEBACK SPECIAL. Brothers and Sisters, I'm here to testify, this is raw, in-the-spirit, kicking-up-a-noise-for-the-Lord Gospel.
