A Lot of Fun for Playtime
This CD is a lot of fun.The music is bubbly and upbeat and makes you want to get up and dance or just jump around.It's a great way to spend some play time with your kids.And the classical music exposure is a bonus.

Synthesized dreck
Why did the producers use synthesizers for this music?It's awful.It's possible to hook kids on classical music using the actual instruments written for it - that's how I got hooked.That's what Mel Blanc and Disney did in their cartoons, Bugs Bunny and Fantasia.I do NOT recommend this CD to anyone.It was a shower gift.If you are not familiar with classical music, then I recommend "Baby Needs Beethoven", which is a collection of music using real instruments (albeit shortened - no full length symphonies here).

Can't say enough good things...

Pure skull shattering Norwegian black metal
I came across this gem in a local mom and pop CD store while looking for some good black metal. The bored looking guy behind the desk told me to look no further than this masterpiece, so I bought it. I love the sleeve art, very primitive, yet pure black metal. And the music? Let's not get me started. Alright, I'm started. From the opening gargling-razors roar of "Barney Theme Song" to the moody, atmospheric synths of "Apples And Bananas," this disk delivers on all war-torn fronts. I played "Sally The Camel" for my friend Jeff in the car one day, and he raised his horns in the air and announced allegiance to the Barney underground.

Not a night without it!
This CD was the best thing that ever happened to our bedtime routine.Ever since our daughter was born, we've had the pleasure of listening to these beautiful songs almost every night and we never get tired of them.Our daughter, now two and a half, continues to request "Piggy" over and over again, and thanks to Nicky, she already appreciates the magic of jazz.
Best Lullaby CD ever!
I never write these reviews.I just had to let everyone know how much I love this CD.I look forward to putting the baby to bed every night so that we can listen to it.I just wish it were longer and had more songs.

Good CD
My son loves Barney, so I thought this would be a great way for us to listen to him instead of always watching TV.We liked the song selection on this CD.The only thing different about it, is the songs are re-made. They are not the same voices as on the show.Those are the songs and melodys we know but for a two year old who doesn't really know the difference it wasn't a big deal.
Good CD, but can barely hear Barney
My 16 month olddaughter loves this CD.She lit up as soon as she heard the Barney theme song and cried when it was time to get out of the car.The only problem with this CD is that when Barney sings, you can barely hear him.You have to raise the volume really high.If the kids are singing with him, it's not so bad, but on the songs he sings by himself, it's annoying.
Typical Barney
This is one of my son's favorite Barney CDs.He can listen to it over and over and never get bored.He even sings along with the songs and enjoys all of them.I would definetly recommend this CD is your child likes Barney.A lot of the songs teach kids great lessons like everyone is special, we all grow, friends and manners are good, buckle your seat belt etc.The downside of the CD is, like most Barney CDs, the music can get really annoying after a while for the parent.But if your kids like Barney then they will enjoy this CD. ... Lovely celtic lullabies
I bought this along with "Golden slumbers: a father's lullaby" for my baby.All in all I prefer this CD much more over the Golden slumbers CD, which is very Musak-y. Celtic Twilight, Vol 3has lovely celtic/folksy songs that I would listen to any time of day, not just for falling asleep.The songs are mostly about mothers' feelings for their babies, from what I can tell by the lyrics.Some are very touching, and others soothing to listen to.I highly recommend this album if you like celitc music and/or folk tunes.

All three of my children fell totally alseep to this cd
I totally recommend this CD.this is my first review and I just had to write about this CD.I have used it for all three of my children.Every time it calms them down and lets them fall alseep.I enjoy the music and it is not annoying children music.I actually taped it so I had copy in my car(No cd player) But Now I have a CD player so I am buying another as well as one for my new niece.My daughter falls right to sleep when I put it on!Thank you Celtic lullabies, you have been life saver!!!!

Perfect for baby and parent

Encourages Children to Sleep
Since they were newborns, part of our daughters' nighttime ritual has been a lullaby CD. This is one of the two CDs that our younger daughter listens to, and it's probably my favorite. It begins with a charming little song in Portuguese (I think the lyrics are about a father trying to get a baby to sleep; there are liner notes, but it's been a long time since I've read them).After that are over a dozen songs in a variety of languages, all perfect for getting a child to sleep, or putting an adult in a very mellow mood. Some of the English-language lullabies you find on other CDs tend to drive me nuts, but after hundreds of listenings, I still enjoy these. I think they're well-suited for older children, too, not just babies.

My baby wouldn't sleep without it
This album is beautiful.As a parent, it will be one of few moments when you will want to listen to the same thing as your young child.Our daughter's crib was in our room for a long time and all of us fell asleep to these wonderful lullabies.I was actually sad when she outgrew it.I just bought it as a shower gift for the third time.The first two recipients have loved it also.

We played this CD all the time when my son was younger, and still like to listen to it on long drives now that he is five. I've given this one and the Celtic Lullaby to several friends as baby shower gifts, and everyone has loved them! works beautifully
I am a mother of twins and this CD was given to us as a gift. My babies fell asleep to this time after time and it was pleasant listening for both mom and dad. I plan on giving this as a gift to all my new parent friends.

Sweet and Soothing
This album is EXACTLY what it is meant to be. Beautiful favorite songs sung as lullabies. While nursing and/or rocking your baby, this is a must have in your sleepy-time music collection. It's relaxing and absolutely perfect. Sweet dreams to all tired babies and mommies. Oh, and daddies too.

the test for a successful cover is that given a choice between the original or the cover, you'd go with the cover.in nearly every instance here i was reminded how much better the original was.karen peris's lovely voice becomes monotomous as she slowly whines on one song after the other.her voice is normally on the "sleepy-side", so when she purposely slows it down it just turns dull.i like IM's version of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," other than that i would opt for the original.they just aren't adding anything to these classic tracks. ... It's the best one of Disney Princess karaoke series in my opinion.
Before I have bought this CD, I had thought that this CD must be like any other Disney Princess karaoke CDs. The Disney Princess karaoke CDs I had bought before made me disappointed more or less, because the songs in them were not the original versions, and the instrumental tracks were not the original ones either. They felt not so good. I'm a Disney Princess music collector, and I couldn't decide whether I should buy this CD as soon as a friend who had got this CD lent it to me. After I have finished all the tracks in this CD, I decided to buy this CD immediately. It's really wonderful! I couldn't stop listening to it after I bought it.
Disappointed
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas andwe have been disappointed with it. I chose this one because it was the only one that was age appropriate at our local WM, but most of the songs are ones that neither she or any of her friends know and they are hard to sing along with for kids at this age.

Your best shot for easing fussiness!
These songs are great for helping to calm a fussy baby. I used both volumes with my newborns (even before they were born to get them familiar with the songs). In combination with other methods (bathing, rocking, massaging, removing stimuli, etc.), it is just another way to help soothe your baby. I found the songs soothing for me as well. They are very monotone, slow, and rythmic. The heartbeat sound carries through all the songs and even plays through the song transitions. If nothing else, it is a good "sleepy-time" routine for your baby to cue in that it is time to sleep. I LOVE to give this set for baby shower gifts!

love it
I bought this when my daughter was one and still not sleeping through the night.This CD was a blessing.We put it on when she went to sleep and hit the button so it would play all night.As long as it was playing, she would sleep all night. On those nights we forgot to have it play over and over, she woke up.I just bought this as a gift for my sister in law, as they are expecting their first in a few weeks.I sure wish I had this long before my daughter turned one.But thankful for the sleep it gave me finally.

REAL music
I have tried many baby lullaby CDs. Most of them use hokie synthesizer music that drives me crazy. This one has actual violin, flute, xylophone, etc. I listen to it even when my babies aren't around.

As a nanny, this CD proves to be one of the finest and comforting compilation of soothing sounds I have ever experienced. Perfect Baby Shower Gift
After my son was born, I found it hard to find music to play when I put him to bed at night.A friend told me about "Sing Me to Sleep, Daddy" and "Sing Me to Sleep, Mommy".My son will turn 3 in April and we still play these CDs every night when we put him in bed.I love that my son hears every night how much he is loved.

The music on this CD is perfect for rocking your baby to sleep and for helping put your child to sleep as he/she grows older.The music is very calming and the songs now bring back many fond memories of bonding times with my children.I just purchased this as a gift for a couple who just had their first child.Ideal for newborns because of the soft music/lyrics.

A nice surprise
I originally bought this cd because I'm a big fan of Ewan McGregor.Although I love the song he sings (Sade's "The Sweetest Gift") I was quite surprised when I heard all the other celebs singing their versions of their favourite lullabyes.I was particularly impressed with Scarlett Johansson's voice as she sang "Summertime".As a Beatles fan aswell I love the fact that two of their songs were included, those being "Golden Slumbers" and "Good Night".This is great CD to play if you want to relax and shut the world out for a little while. Highly recommended.

Unexpected Dreams is a Sweet Surprise!
I, too, loved this lullaby cd.This is different from the typical lullaby cds; it's a bit jazzy which is nice.I think adults, children, and babies will find this soothing to the ears!The songs are great for singing to your baby/child and for the whole family to help wind down in the evening.I highly recommend this cd.I especially love Scarlett Johansson's rendition of "Summertime", John Stamos' "Goodnight My Angel" (a Billy Joel song) and Ewan McGregor's "The Sweetest Gift" (a Sade song).Unexpected Dreams is an unexpected delight!

The Happiest of Holidays
"Happy Holidays Love Barney" is a happy collection of songs. It is light-hearted and fun. The list includes such standards as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" along with other songs such as "Suzy Snowflake" and "Hey, Santa Claus" which are seldom heard. Many of the songs are sixty to ninety seconds long and hold your attention. I like Barney's side comments such as when they are singing about Rudolph not joining in any games, Barney says "oh, my!" and also when they are finished with "The Twelve Days of Christmas" Barney goes "Pheww!". "The Twelve Days of Christmas" carries the listener along. The voices of Barney, Baby Bop and BJ, along with a children's choir, keep the song fresh. Volume Control
This is a good CD as far as the content of the CD, BUT whoever made this CD had no consideration of the recording levels between tracks. One song will be nice a smooth and quiet, then the next track will blow you away. It literally wakes up my child after he has fallen asleep. Out of a volume scale of 10 we have the first song on 5 to barely have it playing in the background for him to sleep, then the next track we have to turn it to 2 becasue it wakes him up, then we have to adjust it to 4 on the next. SOOOO if you are going to stay with him the whole time and be able to change the volume for each song, this CD is for you.I wish I can get my money back but it has been too long. Sooo on to find the next CD for him!...

A wonderful CD for your nursery!
As a first time parent I want to give my child every advantage I can. Studies have shown that playing music to your child helps to enhance their learning ability. Better than Most
This was mostly an enjoyable CD. Maybe more to me than my toddler, though. Some of the songs are almost depressing, so we just skip them. For the most part they are fun and upbeat, and with a little effort, I can get my 18 month old to wiggle his butt to the music.
