Multiplacation CD
This CD is GREAT. I REALLY like it and it is fun and has a nice beat to it. If you are looking for a Multiplacation CD this one would be great!!!

Ugh---Hard to Listen To
I bought this for my third grader because he is struggling to memorize his multiplication tables.Of all the CDs at the teacher supply store, this is the one the staff there recommended.I cannot imagine why!This CD is pretty awful.I know it's partially my own musical taste, but the music & vocals are mediocre and repetitive. My biggest complaint---the songs for the actual multiplication tables are the same tune and lyrics over and over and over and over....you get the picture.I don't see how this could help anyone memorize their multiplication tables, because it gives nothing to associate the different numbers with.It all sounds the same.My kids didn't seem to mind the music, but I saw no educational advantage to it, and I can't stand to hear it.The songs that do not contain the actual multiplication tables are pointless and teach nothing.Read more

A unique children's recording.
Ms. Jenkins and the musicians who join her for this recording have done a fine job introducing labor music and history to children.Labor music and history seems to be lost on the modern age and it is important thatchildren know of the battles waged to stop the economic exploitation ofchildren and all workers. Spanish teacher loves it!

it was a great show!
i relocate a great deal with work and had the rare (for me) opportunity to see john and tom in concert when they recorded this cd while i was home (wichita) for christmas...i've heard a lot of good music in my travels but john's music continues to be one of my staples... Can't go wrong!
You can't go wrong with any John McCutcheon CD or tape.His whit, humor, and heart-felt words make him a singer for all ages.His concerts are 10 stars!

Fun Fun Fun
I bought this CD for my son's 2nd birthday party.We had a Hoedown theme and this CD was GREAT!!!Since the party we listen to atleast one of the songs each day.My son's favorite song is the Tall Tale song.Not only is it fun to listen to but the topics are wonderful as well.

Fun for kids of all ages!
My children and I cannot stop listening to this cd!Our favorites are "Sad cafe" and "Love in the Junkyard" and "Handful of Crumbs"."Lonesome Joan" is a sappy song sung by Ernie and Bert, and it brings a tear to my eye every time I listen to it. Wonderful!
This is a truly wonderful CD.In the typical Sesame Street style, it can be enjoyed by adults as well as children. Many of the songs are really quite humorous, especially "Handful of Crumbs" by Cookie Monster. My daughter loves it! ... Read more

Schoolhouse Rock
This brings back so many memories. As I put on the CD's a big smile just spreads across my face. You see I'm 29 years old, but I love this stuff. I can listen to this stuff over & over. I'm going to buy the videotapes definetly. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves that warm nostalgic feeling!

soothing sounds to create a calming atmosphere
This CD is all original music. I was expecting something similar to classical music or jazz, but it's more like easy listening combined with nature sounds. As a baby, my daughter used to have trouble falling to sleep so I thought some soothing music might help. When she was crying uncontrollably she couldnt hear it so it didn't change her mood, but when she listened to it she did relax more. It didn't always put her to sleep, but it made the atmosphere more calm. Now that she's 2 she will identify all the sounds she hears; birds, water, etc. I would recommend it for anyone who's looking for a cd of soothing background music.
