Why would you buy this cd?
If your kids like the Disney shows they will love this cd. Each song is a theme song, or a popular one from a popular Playhouse Disney show. Your kids will ask you to play this at home, in the car, wherever. It's a great collection that brings back good memories of good shows.

Superstar Artists Sing Disney Their Way!
When I was in high school, one of my friends, who was also a Disney fan, advised me to listen to this album. He downloaded "Under the Sea" for me, and I listened to it over and over again, because it was wonderful! Then I decided to add this album to my music collection!

Original background score after all these years!
Mary Poppins has been my favorite movie since I first saw it in 1973.The wonderful music of Disney inspired me to enter a music career.I've greatly enjoyed the restoration of these great movies and their music over the past ten years or so.I throughly enjoy the complete score-only feature of "The Sound of Music" dvd and this is the Disney equivalent.There's no end to the thrill of hearing this wonderful original score, arranded and conducted by Irwin Costal, in it's digitally restored brilliance.This makes me anxiously await the two disc soundtrack to be released for the film's 40th anniversary. It's fun
This is a fun album, especially if you're a big Disney fan, or have kids who are.Chip Davis does a good job with the arranging, and it has the Mannheim sound that we all love.BUT, I have to say that this is not their best album.I like it, but I don't love it.

The Mouse Rolls
It was my son (a Marine and a long time Mouse fan) that introduced me to this CD, knowing that I enjoyed Mannheim Steamroller.It is an enjoyable collection of music.I wish that Mannheim would produce additional music based on the Disney movies.The music brings back wonderful memories - of Davy Crocket, the Little Mermaid, and I think my favorite, When You Wish Upon a Star.

It's the best one of Disney Princess karaoke series in my opinion.
Before I have bought this CD, I had thought that this CD must be like any other Disney Princess karaoke CDs. The Disney Princess karaoke CDs I had bought before made me disappointed more or less, because the songs in them were not the original versions, and the instrumental tracks were not the original ones either. They felt not so good. I'm a Disney Princess music collector, and I couldn't decide whether I should buy this CD as soon as a friend who had got this CD lent it to me. After I have finished all the tracks in this CD, I decided to buy this CD immediately. It's really wonderful! I couldn't stop listening to it after I bought it.
Disappointed
I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas andwe have been disappointed with it. I chose this one because it was the only one that was age appropriate at our local WM, but most of the songs are ones that neither she or any of her friends know and they are hard to sing along with for kids at this age.

Lilo & Stitch 2: Island Favorites

Overall the album is average.We just listen to ones that are good and skip the rest.

Ignore the big word "Karaoke" on the cover and the microphone shown, this is just a music CD, it does not display anything in a karaoke player.

Little Girls Love it and you won't mind it.
I bought this for my princess-obsessed daughters when it was first released and now, over a year later, it is still a staple in our car's CD player.They listen to this album over and over again, happily singing along and never seeming to tire of it. I could chalk this up to it being the Princesses capturing the hearts of my little girls, but these are very musically savvy preschoolers who can be very picky about what they sing and dance to. I think this is a favorite because it's a good CD, Princesses or not. All the songs on the album are new originals based on the principals of being a good princess.Except for Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora all the songs are sung by the original Princess vocalists (Jodi Benson, Lea Salonga and Paige O'Hara).All the vocals are beautifully sung.The music is reminiscent of Broadway musicals or Disney music soundtracks.It's upbeat and catchy, even infectious.After hundreds of listens I still find myself singing along.And really, as parents, aren't we just looking for something our kids love that we can enjoy as well?The album's standouts are Belle's bouncy "The Perfect Princess Tea," Cinderella's "Every Girl Can Be A Princess" (complemented by mouse harmonies), Ariel's calypso meets 60's girl singer "Happy Birthday Princess", and "If You Can Dream" a melodic poppy ballad sung by all the princesses.

Not only for little girls I think!
I don't know why everyone bought this album only to his or her young daughter who were only 5 or 6 years old or younger. I think if you're a true Disney Princess fan, your age can't keep you away from this album! You know, I'm a teenager, a university freshman, I bought this album for myself and enjoyed it very much!
Beautiful melody!!!
The melody is beautiful, and the lyrics are very beautiful, romantic and encouraging! The song "Happy Birthday" of Ariel's is very good, because Ariel's voice is beautiful and sweet! The song "If you can dream" of all the princesses is the best! I have been looking for MP3 of this song, and now I found it has been featured in this album! Hah hah... Grandkids Music
This CD must be great, my grandson lost his first one and has to have another.Very charming Disney fare for the young at heart.

Excellent CD!
I liked every song except "The Siamese Cat Song". That was Horrible! I usually don't like Jesse Mccartney, but he did a good song on this song. Ashley Gearing has a amazing voice, although I have never heard of her before. "Anytime you need a Friend" had a very good meaning to it. All friends should be like that.

Good traditional Christmas songs, if that's what you like...
I purchased this album expecting all songs to be sung by Mickey and co., but I was wrong. An overwelming majority of the songs are just by no name singers. Some of the arrangements are fun, but if they were all by Mickey it could have been even more fun.

RATHER PEACEFUL MUSIC!
I BOUGHT THIS AND BABY SANTA AT THE SAME TIME AND MY DAUGHTER LIKES THIS BETTER THAN THE BABY SANTA. BABY SANTA HAS A LOT OF VERY SHORT SONGS, AND THESE HAVE MORE SONG TIMES. THEY ARE SO PEACEFUL AND GREAT TO LISTEN TOO ALL YEAR LONG!

Great fun for JoJo fans
My son received this as a gift for his fourth birthday. He listened it to practically first thing after he opened it. He also has listened to it for several nights in a row as he's going to bed. He can even remember which episode most of the songs relate to!
Another Fun Collection of Songs
"JoJo's Circus" is the amazing hit show on Disney Channel featuring a clown-girl named JoJo, her pet lion Goliath and her friends and family in Circus Town. It's bright, colorful, fun and has great music. Now here's another album featuring songs from the show.

SUPER!!!
Wishes was not only what I was looking for but even better,Great for a disney song collectot.

The Rescuers remains neglected!
One of the most fit songs to appear in this CD comes from Disney's 1977 feature, The Rescuers, and that was Someone's Waiting for You, which's original recording was beautifully performed by Shelby Flint, but why isn't in here?Once again, I wonder why the film's been neglected from appearing in any music CD ever.

I didn't like the new renditions
Others may prefer that this isn't just a 'greatest hits' album from Disney and has new folks singing the old songs, but to my ear they just didn't have the charm of the originals and not what I want to listen to. ... Read more

I go to Disneyland now whenever I want to...
After numerous visits over my lifetime to Disneyland, I can go whenever I want with this CD set. I received it as a gift and it's really a wonderful set. Highly recommend to any and all Disney fans!

I got this set recently and nothing about it is bad. I listen to it all the time. I love how all the holiday tracks are compiled on one CD (disc 6). Listening to the Wishes firework show makes me feel like I'm really watching the fireworks. The track also includes the cool Star Tours boarding message before transitioning into the music for the ride.

Feel Yourself Flying!
Have you ever had a big, big dream and you felt like you were soaring up into the clouds? Even if perhaps you haven't had such a dream yet, the music from Ice Princess is enough to get you feeling that "up in the air" feeling. All of the songs have a great message to give you about just going for things and being yourself... not being afraid to do anything. Many of the singers are probably familiar to you - Natasha Bedingfield, Aly & AJ, Jesse McCartney... even Diana DeGarmo from American Idol. There's just something about this album that reaches out to your innermost feelings and allows you to open up yourself. I realized that many of these songs helped me feel stronger. And if you enjoy this CD, be sure to check out the movie... and if you enjoyed the movie, it's guaranteed that you'll enjoy this CD. Start flying!

great soundtrack
I love this soundtrack. It's got good, clean songs and because most of them were used to skate to in the movie, they have great beat. I used several of them to dance to in my dance class. They're great. I also ice skate, not terribly well, but I'm not too bad...and I loved these songs to skate to as well. My favorite song is Get Up. The words are great. I'm not afraid to fall it means I've climbed up high, to fall is not to fail, you fail when you don't try. That's a great message. however, the only thing I wish it had was the song Casey does at regionals, and the songs (without words) like Can-can, Pink Panther theme song, etc. Those are neat songs to dance to as well, and even do gymnastics to. but, over all, great CD. I give it a 9/10.

Very Good Original Music
Disney has been guilty of loading some their motion picture soundtracks with re-treads of great old songs. I don't have a problem with artists performing new renditions of great songs. I do mind when the style and even arrangements are near copies of the originals.

Not just for children
This is wonderful story-telling, engaging without being cloying, a fantasy with realistic principles, not to mention relationships.The four Pevensie children are no strangers to anyone who has ever cared for or even known children, a true family, with its ups and downs, love and squabbles, falling and forgiveness, and we are invited to share their adventures in joining the fight led by a regal and courageous lion named Aslan, against a witch queen who has held the land in fear and cold for decades.All is informed by a lovely, haunting, and often stirring soundtrack, which is included individually, and which could quite possibly stand on its own without having accompanied a movie. Both are so well done that we become unaware that we are being ushered into a Narnian world, coursing through storybook adventure, a tribute to the author and also to all those whose hard work and dedication combined to make an experience and a world so winning and complete as to be well worth revisiting, as often as one wishes.

Soundtrack DVD vs. Second movie DVD
This is what I would call a good soundtrack. I am not writing this review for the music of the Narnia soundtrack, because there are enough of these already. You should be able to form an opinion of it by reading other people's reviews. But, I do REALLY like it! There was some information that I needed, when I was buying my soundtrack, regarding which edition of soundtrack I should get. If I had the information I needed, I probably would not have bought the special edition soundtrack I ended up getting. I got it because I found a good deal, on Amazon actually, and I wanted to compare the DVD to the second DVD in the special edition movie, which we own. So...this is the information I needed, a comparison.

MY DAUGHTER IS SINGING ALL THE TIME NOW!
She begged us for it, we bought it home. And our daughter was singing all the time. All of a sudden she wanted voice lessons. (They are a bit pricey for us with 3 kids) so we bought her some singing lessons on cd- brilliant idea ("Voice Lessons To Go" by Vaccarino). Now she has picked up my son's guitar and is making up simple songs. We are all ready preparing for the many Karaoke Cds we will be purchasing for Christmas!

Fun and easy.
Most of the little girls I know love Lizzy McGuire, and it follows that they also love to sing the songs they have heard.This CD has easy to follow lyrics with the rhythm indicated by how long words remain on the screen before changing color. So even if the songs are new, they can learn them.
