5-0 out of 5 stars No less than 5 stars!
Excellent arrangements and excellent song choices on the CDs.Every Christian parent should have a few of the Cedarmont Kids CDs in their collection in my opinion. These are affordable and simply some of the very best of what is currently available.

1-0 out of 5 stars BIBLE SONGS
THESE SONGS WERE A BIG HELPFOR THIS FIRST YEAR SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER. SOME SONGS WERE EASY AND SOME WERE HARDER, THE EASY ONES WAS WHAT I NEEDED TO GET STARTED.

5-0 out of 5 stars You can't go wrong with anything by Cedarmont Kids
Tonight I am ordering our second copy of Bible Songs and Hymns (both by Cedarmont Kids) because our first copies got a skip and we cannot live without them!!Our son (now 3) has loved anything by Cedarmont Kids since he was 1 1/2.The songs are classic - you will recognize almost all of them and a few of them will make you go, "Oh yeah!I remember that song!"Your kids will learn Bible stories and bibilical truths from this CD and - wow! - sing them back to you causing your heart to melt instantly. And as a welcome gift to parents, the songs are sung by kids making them extra appealing to your kids, but the voices are pleasant and joyful so you won't mind listening to this CD for the fifth time today in the van. These CDs are very affordable and the content cannot be beaten. That's why we own them all! ... Editorial Review

What could possibly be cooler than hipping kids to some of the best pop music ever made? Music for Little People makes this project simple by producing a batch of the Beatles' sunniest songs performed by a prime adult band and your children's peers and slightly reworked in kid-friendly keys. The result is largely devoid of over-the-top cutesy-poo histrionics--these kids can really sing and the harmonies are quite commendable. Young listeners will be thrilled to sing along on the bouncy chorus of "Life Goes On," to count and do the alphabet on "All Together Now," and to distinguish the amusing sounds of a penny whistle, mandolin, and zither. Both Raffi and blues artist Eric Bibb make guest appearances, but the shining star at this party is child singer Bernie Steinberg, who takes lead on three tunes, including the touchingly performed "Mother Nature's Son" and the amazingly soulful "Birthday." 5-0 out of 5 stars Fun version for kids
Who can sing Beatles songs better than the Beatles? No one, of course! But it sure beats Barney!Or, at least it's a nice change from many kids'albums.I play regular Beatles' music for my kids too.But they also like this album a whole lot.Another reviewer said that children like to hear children singing and this is definitely true in our case.I think it's well done and I base much of my choices in childrens' music on what I can stand to hear repeatedly in the car.So this one definitey qualifies for that standard.I'd highly recommend it.

1-0 out of 5 stars lame
Birthday is as lame as it gets, except for the version on Bugs Bunny & Friends: Sing The Beatles. The better version is on White Album: disc 2

4-0 out of 5 stars The kids love it...and I like it too.
My two kids love it --- my daughter since she was 1 and my son since he was 3 - and we've had it for about 6 months now. Ok not all the songs are so great and yes the Beatles sing it better then a bunch of kids do (but kids like hearing kids singing) and every once and a while I try to skip something but my son usually stops me and says "No, I want to hear the ...whatever... song. " They especially love ObLaDi, Octopus's Garden, Yellow Submarine, Birthday and All Together Now. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsome CD
I am a native spanish speaker and this is an excellent CD.It puts my baby to sleep every time.A great mix of different Latin cultural songs.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love this CD
After listening to electronic sounding classical music for my baby after so many months, this beautifuly sung/played CD does the trick to ease her to sleep. I play it just for me sometimes!

5-0 out of 5 stars The BEST LULLABY ALBUM en español!
As an educator planning to raise my children bilingually, I was very happy to discover this CD. My collection of materials would not be complete without it. It is absolutely beatiful and I can't wait to sing along to many of these songs to put my little one to sleep. I find listening to it now (baby is on the way) very soothing and would actually recommend it to anyone who wants to add traditional music in Spanish to their collection. This album is easy to listen to again and again.

5-0 out of 5 stars Children Just Love Many Songs. Very Silly and Good for Kids
I give this 4 1/2 stars, so I will round up. It's better than most children's music CD's.4-0 out of 5 stars Imaginative and unique
This album is different from the other children's albums our family owns, and it inspires the imagination. The songs are grouped in themes and have an authentic sound, with high production value.3-0 out of 5 stars Not our favorite
I bought this tape for my daughter, who is 23 months old. I purchased Toddler Favorites and one of the Disney classics at the same time. She prefers the Toddler Favorites to all the others. This tape (Children's Favorites) has an odd musical selection. Some of the songs are unfamiliar and rather outdated. I think we were looking for something a bit more cutesy and upbeat. Still, we do listen to it and a couple of the songs are cute. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A bond that will last forever
I remember receiving this CD from my sister when my first child was born.I would sit in the rocker with her and sing each song to her as she looked up in amazement. My favorite is "If I Didn't Have You to Wake Up To."My children, now 7 and 10, still occasionally ask me to sing a lullaby to them for fun. This song is always my first choice.Other than one song which feels a little bit intense, maybe even scary (my daughter would cry whenever it played, with tears running down her face), all the songs are pleasant, and fun to sing if you like singing.I have given it as gifts to several of my family and friends when they have their first child. It is a timeless piece.Great music, especially if you like female vocals! The variety of artists keeps it fresh...forever.

5-0 out of 5 stars amazing
We purchased this in summer of 2004 when our daughter was 1 1/2.5-0 out of 5 stars Treasure!
I received this CD as a gift 11 years ago when my daughter was born. She listened to it every night for the first five years of her life. It comforted her and soothed her to sleep! Today she pulls it out and remembers the times we laid together and sang the songs until she couldnt keep her eyes open anymore. It evokes wonderful memories for both of us. I would buy this CD again and again and would recommended it any mother! It's truly a treasure! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love it! So does our Daughter
My husband and I are both big Buffett fans and we had this Cd before our daughter was born, I played it in my classroom and my kindergartners loved it, especially Volcano. We had to get a new one for our daughter because it went MISSING in my class ??? Now we listen to it all the time!!!1 YEAH!Fins up!

5-0 out of 5 stars Soooo cute, perfect for the young Parrothead!!
I have this as one of the CD's in my car CD player, distracts my 1 yr old daughter whenever she gets antsy in the car- some songs are a little annoying to me, just b/c Buffett is really the only one who should sing them in my opinion, but it keeps her entertained and that's all that matters!

5-0 out of 5 stars Enjoy it very much!
The songs actually have rythym! Most children's music is very bland, but this CD actually makes my 7-month old daughter want to dance.I definitely recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME - kids love the music!!
Most of the reviews on this CD have been negative because Non-Spanish speaking parents purchased it. For Spanish speakers however - the CD is FANTASTIC!!!I strongly urge any non-spanish speaking parents to ask a friend or a Spanish Teacher to translate the songs. "Itsy-bitsy spider" is one of the songs on this CD - Wouldn't it be nice to teach your son/daughter that world-known song in spanish?? Also several traditional Latin (or Mexican) songs are on this CD - many that I heard during my childhood. My son LOVES the music and fact of the matter is - spanish or english - at 2 yrs old he can only understand so much language anyway.AT the current price of $3.99 - I'm ordering more copies as gifts for friends & family.

I enoy this CD very much because when I play it, my 7-month old daughter loves to dance along. Its a great way of incorporating a second language into my child's vocabulary. It allows her to be familiar with the language. Overall, I love the familiar songs!

1-0 out of 5 stars Rock? For babies?

5-0 out of 5 stars A great collection of favorites
This set has all the songs kids love and more!As a preschool teacher I know which songs get the kids going and they are all in this collection. There are a variety of voices including kids and the music is upbeat and fun for adults who have heard the same songs a million times!
5-0 out of 5 stars great value
I think this is an excellent collection -- four full CDs of music for a great price. You can always trust the people at Music for Little People to put a lot of thought and talent into their recordings.New twists on old favorites make this collection loads for fun for both children and adults.I love the variety of musical genres and the people singing are obviously having a great time. The third and fourth CDs are the favorites in our family -- number 3 is the Play collection including a great jump rope melody and a new one for me, "Pick a Bale O'Cotton" which is a perfect song for clean-up time.Number 4 is Nursery Rhymes and Lullabies, also includes tongue twisters (and a great voice comes out of the speaker blowing a trumpet and proclaiming "it's tongue twister time!").The lullaby collection is short but sweet (8 songs) and is guaranteed to put my kids to sleep by "All the Pretty Little Horses".
1-0 out of 5 stars not our cup of tea
we were disappointed with this cd.overacting by the adults on many of the songs.they insist on making a song their own and many times louse it up.no real child like quality - the message seemed to be 'listen to my funny accent, my unique interpretation of this song'.too many sound effects. ... Two hundred years after Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's death, French physician Dr. Tomatis discovered a relationship between listening and learning. Remarkably, he found that children develop their listening ability in the womb. According to medical studies, we now know that the music of Mozart in particular has a profound effect on the human mind, body, and spirit. Working in accordance with this philosophy, internationally known teacher and musician Don Campbell wrote Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars We Love These!!!
Our whole famiy loves these CDs! They are very relaxing to listen to while playing games, drawing, or building! I'm no music expert, but I thought the sound quality was good. We listen to them almost everyday! In fact, our kids request 'Mozart music' when playing and it does seem to help keep them focused on one thing for quite some time. :)

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for kids with special needs or speech delays!!!!
We bought this cd for our daughter who has Down Syndrome. She is 6 years old but still has difficulty articulating words together in a sentenceand will often skip over words in songs because she cannot sing them as fast. This cd allows kids like my daughter to really hear the words clearly. Although it is slower than the songs would normally be, it is great for kids who have a delay because they have the time to process what they just heard and repeat it back more accurately. Then, when they try to sing the songs at the regular speed, they can do so with more accuracy and comprehension. Our daughter still loves her other cd's, but this just gives her one more way to help her with her speech skills. We plan to get the Christmas cd as she listens to Christmas music all year long!!! :
3-0 out of 5 stars Great Intentions; Didn't Blow Me Away
I think that for special needs kids, children who are a little slower to talk, or kids just having problems with anunciation or expression, this CD presents an incredible opportunity in being able to share traditional, fun, upbeat and lively children's music with your kids. The notion of slowing down the words, if not the music, is fantastic as it gives kids a better grounding in what is being said, proper anunciation, etc.
5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for apraxic toddlers
The front of the CD says "Helps Build Language Skills" and part of the description on the back says "...the words are sung at a slower tempo so that any child can sing along - even a child just learning to speak". The CD doesn't fail to offer what it clearly states if you read it!

So much has been made of the music for babies and children to sleep, eat, and have their brains grow optimally that a collection of lullabies might seem a little suspect. But when the folks at Ellipsis Arts take up the task of creating a lullaby collection, the results are bound to be fruitful. Sure, the emphasis in this collection of 19 songs is on gentleness, but this music is so seldom heard that it's endlessly enticing. The Celtic lullabies range from three-part Welsh carols to the overtone-tinted wooden flute of Chris Norman on "Now I Am Asleep" to several showings for acoustic harp that highlight vocals by singers such as Jill Rogoff and Ann Mayo Muir. The unfortunate trend of globetrotting CDs that lose all their geographic specificity is easily bucked here with songs sung in Manx Gaelic and the more familiar Irish. The set even takes into account the farthest reaches of the Celtic diaspora by including a religious Nova Scotian melody with mother Mary singing to the baby Jesus, "Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderfulcd
If your fascinated by string and flute instruments you will love this cd. The singers do the lullaby's plenty of justice. If your like Waldorf style learning you'll defitnitely enjoy it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Lovely
I got this originally because of the first song on the CD, "Night, Night."I found that the sample I heard of this song helped to get rid of headaches that I was getting at the time.I being able to listen to the whole song, as well as the others, have helped me to be able to relax. This is especially important to me now that I am in college, which we all know can be very stressful. Therefore, I recommend this for not only babies and young children, for anyone who needs to relax.

5-0 out of 5 stars My 6 1/2 year old Baby Boy Scot still loves this, as do we
He's had this CD for several years, I'm buying yet another copy. He has a wide variety of music, mostly Classical, Celtic and fun kid type, but this is surely one of his favorites.

5-0 out of 5 stars Make some memories with your baby or young child!
I love this album!I was given this album on cassette tape when my first daughter was born.We wore it out.I sang her " I L-O-V-E-Y-O-U" in the hospital. The whole CD is so sentimental to me.The melodies are beautiful and the songs are easy to remember so you can sing them to your child even when you don't have the CD handy.I was so happy to hear that I could purchase it on CD!Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Child's Gift of Lullabyes-CD Created by J. Aaron Brown
This CD is so beautiful, I played it for my son when he was young.I sang along with the songs to put my son to sleep. We love this song collection. Now, my grandson has his own to enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Listened to for over 10,000 miles!
We've had the cassette in the van(s)for over 11-years and have traveled the midwest & western states many times listening to this soothing and very enjoyable music. If the kids were getting cranky, car sick, or just needed to settle down, A Child's Gift of Lullabyes would always calm them.It was fun to hear them softly sing along. (Including the instrumentals was brilliant!) I'm getting the CD now so we can retire the trusty cassette.I'm glad that after 20-years it is still easily available.Every new parent should own this! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Disney a wee bit on acid.
What an eclectic grouping of artists that came together to make this work. The absolute best Disney tribute CD that adults will probably enjoy more than the children.Sinead deliberatly sings an entire song off key until the last note and it's perfect. There are wonderfull songs that you would expect, but with Tom Waits in the mix you must expect some "oddness".Overall a great CD.5 Stars easy.

4-0 out of 5 stars Alternating dark , melancholy and wistful, good but for grown-ups only
I found that listening to this work end to end is going to put you in some peculiar moods. The overall feeling is definitely downbeat, even the up-tempo songs have a decidedly ironic and dark bent. My favorite song in this album has to be the exceptionally soulful rendering of "Baby Mine" by Bonnie Raitt; it turns the sentimental mother-child ballad into something more on the romantic side. I have often slow-danced this one with the wife, and you can really feel a hot intensity under the surface of this number. James Taylor's "Second Star To The Right" is exceptionally wistful in his trademark style. Sun Ra's cover of "Pink Elephants" remains true to the original while retaining the peculiar spacy Sun-Ra vibe. One of the more "accessible" Sun-Ra performances I've ever heard.
5-0 out of 5 stars Really good stuff
I picked this up on CD when it was first released and I was in college, it was always one of my dirty pleasures packed next to harder, grungier, and/or funkier stuff. Well, most of the other stuff has not stood the test of time too well, but Stay Awake still comes out every once in a while. Like the earlier reviewer, I frequently sing my daughters to sleep with Blue Shadows on the Trail ala Syd Straw, and my 2 year old has taken to singing along with me. My one complaint is the medley style of the tracks... some tunes rate an individual track, while other tracks might have three or four tunes faded together. Plenty of different styles on here to satisfy a wide variety of tastes, but it's the purer and more sentimental ones that have always stuck with me. I strongly disagree with the reviewer who thinks Aaron Neville was trying to sex up the Mickey Mouse Club march, I've always felt that his version is laced more with plaintive nostalgia than anything prurient. I've always wished that somebody would put together a Stay Awake 2, but if that means Jessica Simpson gets called in to remake Hakuna Matata, I'll pass. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars What is the problem?
I don't understand all the negative reviews on the Kidz Bop series. These musical offerings are not for adults, teens, or even pre-teens.I don't listen to this CD because I like it, I listen to it because our 5 and 6 year old girls LOVE them.To them it's too cool to hear a song they've heard on the radio being sung with, if you will, a kids choir, in the background. To them, some of their favorite pop songs have gotten a re-mix where kids get to sing along with the real star and for that it's all the more interesting to them.As a parent, I appreciate the fact that the language is cleaned up on certain tracks.I'd much rather my daughters listen to Pink and Avril on the Kidz Bop CDs because I certainly wouldn't buy them the actual albums with the language.
5-0 out of 5 stars Wow..
Kidsbop is awsome! I mean all the songs I love are in one cd. And those kids who sing are amzing! If you are thinking of purchasing one, you're gonna love it!

1-0 out of 5 stars ewwww....
I honestly hate Kidz Bop. I mean, Avril Lavigne is my favorite singer, and My Happy Ending is too good of a song to be wrecked by Kidz Bop. I mean, I sing in the shower better then these kids! Don't buy it. Borrow it from the library if you must. ... Read more

This is a GREAT album! It's a must-buy!I laughed and laughed. If you want to get your kids to take a bath, turn on the song "The Good News Is....you're gonna take a bath," and that will get them going! It's a rock-and-roll ditty which will make your kids' daily bathing ritual a lot more fun!I highly recommend this very cute album. As usual, it's Disney and it's first rate! ...
