Great CD
If your kids like Barney, they will like this CD - it's full of his favorites!

Fun
Of all the young children's music we've heard, this cd far surpasses all the others in choice of songs, vocals (with both Barney and kids, afterall, kids love to hear other kids sing), and sound quality.It's quite addictive-- you'll find yourself singing those songs.It's worth getting.

Pure skull shattering Norwegian black metal
I came across this gem in a local mom and pop CD store while looking for some good black metal. The bored looking guy behind the desk told me to look no further than this masterpiece, so I bought it. I love the sleeve art, very primitive, yet pure black metal. And the music? Let's not get me started. Alright, I'm started. From the opening gargling-razors roar of "Barney Theme Song" to the moody, atmospheric synths of "Apples And Bananas," this disk delivers on all war-torn fronts. I played "Sally The Camel" for my friend Jeff in the car one day, and he raised his horns in the air and announced allegiance to the Barney underground.

Good CD
My son loves Barney, so I thought this would be a great way for us to listen to him instead of always watching TV.We liked the song selection on this CD.The only thing different about it, is the songs are re-made. They are not the same voices as on the show.Those are the songs and melodys we know but for a two year old who doesn't really know the difference it wasn't a big deal.
Good CD, but can barely hear Barney
My 16 month olddaughter loves this CD.She lit up as soon as she heard the Barney theme song and cried when it was time to get out of the car.The only problem with this CD is that when Barney sings, you can barely hear him.You have to raise the volume really high.If the kids are singing with him, it's not so bad, but on the songs he sings by himself, it's annoying.
Typical Barney
This is one of my son's favorite Barney CDs.He can listen to it over and over and never get bored.He even sings along with the songs and enjoys all of them.I would definetly recommend this CD is your child likes Barney.A lot of the songs teach kids great lessons like everyone is special, we all grow, friends and manners are good, buckle your seat belt etc.The downside of the CD is, like most Barney CDs, the music can get really annoying after a while for the parent.But if your kids like Barney then they will enjoy this CD. ... ENJOYABLE MUSIC FOR A HANDICAPPED 8 YEAR OLD WHO SPENDS MUCH TIME IN BED.
MY GRANDSON IS HANDICAPPED---DOWN SYNDROME AND DISABLED BY STROKE, SO SPENDS MUCH TIME IN BED. THE CD PLAYS OVER AND OVER AND HE IS DELIGHTED BY IT. THANK YOU!

The Happiest of Holidays
"Happy Holidays Love Barney" is a happy collection of songs. It is light-hearted and fun. The list includes such standards as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" along with other songs such as "Suzy Snowflake" and "Hey, Santa Claus" which are seldom heard. Many of the songs are sixty to ninety seconds long and hold your attention. I like Barney's side comments such as when they are singing about Rudolph not joining in any games, Barney says "oh, my!" and also when they are finished with "The Twelve Days of Christmas" Barney goes "Pheww!". "The Twelve Days of Christmas" carries the listener along. The voices of Barney, Baby Bop and BJ, along with a children's choir, keep the song fresh. Hanukkah and Kwanza are both represented with "My Dreidel" and "Habari Gani" respectively. Overall, this has been one of the highlights of the Christmas season! ... Read more

Simply the best bedtime cd for kids!
I needed to get my children into a routine for bedtime. This CD offered a wonderful selection of songs to accompany all the things we would do before bed. The songs are so soothing for the little ones. I love this as much as my kids. I highly recommend this selection.

A "Must Have" every night at our house
My son who is five and one of my daughter's who is almost four both listen to this CD every night.It is an integral part of our night-time routine.In fact, when we vacation, we even take a portable CD player with us, just so that they can hear their "Barney Sleepy-time" CD.The music is typically, sweet Barney-ish music and there is kind of a rhythm to the pace in that the beginning of the CD is a little peppier and the second half is definitely more mellow and sub-dued.I have tried to suggest to my five year old that maybe he would enjoy some other type of night-time CD---but no go--at least for now, this Barney CD with its sweet, peaceful tone is what he wants.Our two year old is ready for her big girl bed--so it's almost time to order her CD, too.

A perfect bedtime routine begins here...
My three children have been listening to Barney's Sleepytime songs for YEARS.It is now in the hands of our youngest child, who will be 2 this summer.It is the ONLY cassette she will listen to at bedtime, and it is our second (wore out the first copy)...we're now investing in the CD version!Side One is perfect to play while your child takes his/her bath, brushes teeth, etc.It is a little more "uptempo" than the second side of the tape (or second half of the CD, whatever the case may be).The second half is VERY soothing... sometimes WE fall asleep as we rock the baby and sing along to the "nighty-night" songs. I'd recommend this to ANYONE in need of a new routine at bedtime, for ages birth-5 years. :) ... Read more

Rocks?
This CD does not rock. It is filled with soft, kiddy ballads that CANNOT, in any way, be called rock. BJ's voice is horribly shrill, and Barney's "Oom-Day-Day-Doo" is annoying on the song Rock N Roll Star. Not a rock album at all.

Doesn't rock, okay for Barney fans
My big objection is that the voice of BJ is too shrill on this CD, to the point of being painful during the more Rock n Roll section.Some of the songs are pretty good Barney songs; I prefer the second half with more traditional Barney songs, especially some of my daughter's favorites like "Squishy, squashy Washy" - a song we always have to stop and dance for.

Barney Really Does Rock!

Kids stuff with an adult sound!
This is a delightful departure from traditional Barney CDs.There is a good mix of adult friendly music with the "regular Barney sound".Johnny Van Zant and Peebo get in on the music and give an updated twist. If you have to listen to Barney in the car, this is a good compromise.Itstill calms the savage toddler while leaving your sanity in tact. ... Read more

My kid loves this CD
I play this in the car and my daughter loves it!She does not talk much yet but grunts to the songs, raises her hands, claps her hands and "dances" to the music.I enjoy the songs too, they teach great stuff like how to cross the street and includes some of my childhood faves like "1-2 buckle my shoe".My daughter's favorite is "find the numbers in your house", she squeals whenever that starts playing!She is already addicted to Barney but I am THANKFUL for anything that makes my daughter enjoy car trips and be so happy in her car seat!This CD is a lifesaver and should prove to be very educational later on as well.It's worth every penny!

Great Music To Get Your Kids Moving
If you can tolerate Barney and want a CD to get your kids moving then this is a good bet.My three-year-old just loves Barney and out of all her Barney CDs, I prefer this one to the others.The songs are really upbeat and some of them do have catchy tunes.The music also has the ability to get my kids dancing all around the house and they even like it in the car and outside while they play. Beautiful and touching. Clever as usual for Joe Scruggs.
Joe Scruggs is one of the best, if not the best children's entertainers to come along in a long time. My autistic son listens to music most of the day and Joe Scruggs is one of his favorites.Joe is my favorite, seeingthat I must listen to the same music my son listens to all day long. My sonand I also feel the same way about Joe's two videos. I especially like thesong "Different Drum" on the "Ants" album.It hasspecial meaning for me because it sort of describes how I feel about myautistic son's behavior--that he is following a different drum from all theother children.I think it should be a kind of "theme" song forspecial or retarded or just different children. "Can't Rock theBaby" is also a very special song for parents.In fact, many of JoeScruggs songs are really for the parents rather than their children.Afterall, we usually must listen to the same things our children listen to whenthey are very young.
