Fabulous
Crazy for You is a wonderful show, and the origenal Cast is full of wonderfulvoices. Having been in the show, I fell in love with the music, and listening to Bobby's unique, peppy voice in this CD made it even more loveable, definatly shown in "Can't Be Bothered Now". Everyone on this CD has so much character in there voices. I'm amazed at how well everyones vocals are!

Crazy For This CD
After a month of listening to the London version, I recieved this as a gift for being in the musical at school. I must say, it's different, but there is no better sound than that of Slap That Bass and Bidin' My Time. The musical is so hard to pull off, but this CD helps you get to know the words. I know every song by heart.

The Muppets Christmas Christmas Carol
I am a Muppets fan from WAY back! I own the DVD and watch it during every holiday season. Since I am such a big fan of the movie, I knew I would enjoy the soundtrack.
Muppet Christmas Carol soundtrack...fabulous!
I've owned the soundtrack for about 5 years now, but I paid about three times as much for an original just because I loved the music so much! When I saw that a special edition was released, I thought I might have to buy it again, but while it is a special edition, the only difference I can see is that there is different cover artwork (but there's different artwork between the original dvd release and the new release too). Whoever thought to rerelease the soundtrack is nothing short of genius.
Wonderful soundtrack a reminder why DVD is so annoying
Not to quibble with the folks who already contributed proper opinions regarding the undeniably quirky and uplifting quality of the music of "The Muppet Christmas Carol" soundtrack, but the CD is a persistent reminder of why those who witnessed the movie in the theaters are let down by the subsequent video/DVD release, which hacks into the Marley & Marley number, cuts the marvelous Prof. Bunson/Beaker musical admonition and eliminates capitalistic Sam's foundation-laying instruction to a young and impressionable Scrooge.What legal or artistic machinations lie behind these dreadful changes remain elusive (similar to the evisceration of "A Muppet Family Christmas" since its early network showings), but the worst that can be said of the terrific CD soundtrack is its ability to evoke bittersweet memories of a movie that had been just about ideal ... and is no more. ... Great, Sweet Sounding CD
I love listening to this CD, and so does my son.I would listen to it even if I didn't have children.It's just really sweet with good music and vocals, and a good choice of songs as well.

Wonderful for going to sleep by
I play this for me (and I DO have kids, Dash being one).I have to agree with both reviewers. It is relaxing, comforting,soothing, and peaceful...so much so I am usually asleep by the fourth song and wake up to realize the whole CD played and I missed it!Definitely not for drowsy drivers!But if you want to be cozy, comforted, and peaceful at home, then this CD is for you.

Sweet Worship
I happened to pick this up the other day and was just so pleased with the sweet tone to this worship compilation. My commute to and from work can be so stressful, but this cd soothes my soul. I love it...I do not have children, but if I did, it would be their bedtime listening! There is so much to say, so let me just tackle each song.

What a welcome change this collection is! Completely free of the arch, cloying ickiness that sometimes informs even the most well-intentioned kids' music offerings, these tunes may well help create a vanguard of pint-sized, sophisticated (in the best sense of the word!) world citizens. While not all of the selections were originally composed with this market inmind, the music is nonetheless delightfully child-appropriate in content, rhythmic bounciness and melodic saturation. fun for baby and adult
My 10 mo and I both love this cd - unlike most childens music, I can listen to it every morning and not run screaming from the house... and I think its helped with my french pronunciation as well :)

Baby kicks to the beat!
I bought this a few days ago and popped it into the CD player as soon as we got it.My 6 mos. old daughter loved it! She started kicking to the beat of the song.It also had some I knew from when I was growing up and brought back fond memories for me.It's upbeat with various styles so in all a good variety.

Tom T. Hall writes songs for children, he says, because they have a lot of the same interests, including the quest for simplicity. "One day I just found that we got along great. They understood me," he says. And in this compilation of songs from the '70s and '80s, Hall demonstrates his knowledge of the magic between children and animals and the thrill of taking a trip with the imagination, especially to Hall's own Fox Hollow farm, where such characters as Sneaky Snake, Randy Raccoon, and Ole Lonesome George, the basset hound, await. With the storytelling skills he gleaned as a child in the hills of Kentucky, Hall makes many of his songs into fables. "The Song of the One Legged Chicken," for example, teaches a valuable lesson about disability and difference. "Mommy...I want 'snake snake'"
That's what I hear almost every time we get in the car. And on a recent three hour car trip we had "Sneaky Snake" on our CD repeat. This is a really great CD and my daughter loves it more than any other. She can sing at least parts of almost all the songs. I saw Tom T. Hall in concert once, years ago, and I would have never dreamed that my daughter would fall in love with his music, too. Buy it!

Tom T. Hall songs for kids
These songs have stood the test of time - I bought the CD to replace the LP so the next generation could hear them.Easy on adult ears - think of the opposite sound to the Chipmunks & you've got the idea.

On the other side of sesame Street:
A brilliant CD for children, and adults alike. I got this CD, because one of the kids I babysit LOVES singing along with the sesame street videos, so I figured he would enjjoy dancing and singing along to the CD aswell. I was right! He loves singing along to all the classic sesame songs, and I love singing along too! Makes me remember my days as a little girl when I sang the same songs! Very cute. Kids of all ages will get a kick out of this CD. =)

so sentimental
I nearly cried as I listened to some of the samples of this great cd. I had forgotten some of the beautiful sesame street classic tunes like "Me" sung by Grover and "Imagination" sung by Kermit. This is a great album to give to your kids if you want them to develop a healthy self image and a good imagination. I think preschool and kindergarten teachers would do their students a favor by purchasing and playing any classic Sesame St. music. I am so grateful my parents let my siblings and I watch only positive tv shows and listen to positive music.

Platinum Too, Platinum's companion
Where would Platinum be without Platinum Too? This cd is great fun for the whole family. It is so easy to be silly when one of the Sesame Street cds is on. It is great at home, but really great in the car on long road trips. A great buy, [for any age :)] Highly recommended by "torri'smom" who once was a Sesame Street kid herself.

Fun, fun, fun
I just love these CDs by Sandra Boynton.This was the second one we got.These are loaded with fun songs you can sing along with.You have to listen to them a couple of times to get hooked on the songs.Once you can sing along you will find yourself listening when the kids are not around.

So much fun. . .
I like this even better than Philadelphia Chickens-- there are fewer songs on this CD that I skip. (Only 1, 'Bad Babies," and mostly because I don't want my 3 year olds to say "bad Babies" in public. . . .)

I have this CD for my 5 month old and he loves when I sing all the silly songs to him. But I have to admit that the 2nd to the last song "Little One" makes me cry everytime I sing it to him. Fun for whole family to listen to, even Daddy enjoys it. ... Read more

A "must have" for all parents and babies!!!
We love this CD.The music is so relaxing to listen to!Our son loves to sleep to this at night.We put it on repeat so it plays over and over again, all night long!

The BEST lullaby CD I've found
I previewed a LOT of lullaby CDs before buying this one.The instrumental music sounds lovely and the addition of modern Disney songs is refreshing.

My kids can't stay awake!!!,
We LOVE this CD! The music is so beautifully arranged. It is so incredibly peaceful that my kids can't keep their eyes open. We play it for naps and just before bed at night. The BEST thing is that I love the music, too!!!! It's not that annoying toy-music sound that you get with lots of lullaby CDs, it is actually instrumentals by orchestra. The blend from one song to the next song is seamless. There's even a tip sheet on how to use the CD to get your children to sleep better written by Elizabeth Pantley (the author of The No-Cry Sleep Solution.) Lullabies don't get any better than this! For silly fans!
Silly Songs with Larry are just hilarious in all the Veggie Tales videos!My almost 3 year old LOVES Silly songs, they got him hooked on Veggie Tales completely and there's nothing wrong with that!
Totally Hysterical!
Okay, this is about the funniest cd I've ever heard.I particularly like "Oh where is my hairbrush."However, since there is a bunch of talking in this cd, it may not be as much for toddlers as something else like the Wiggles.It doesn't hold the attention of my toddler, even though he LOVES watching veggie tales videos.If you've had a very bad day at work, just pop in this cd and boy, do things of this world fade away in laughter!

this CD was great. The princess and the pauper songs are fun to sing along with and the classical music was great. It good for kids to knowthe music from swan lake and the nutcracker.I really do want another one. maybe they should make another musical.
Very great CD
I just love this CD, in the start i just bying it for get the songs from "the princess and the pauper" but so i hear the other songs and they was also so great. I mean they should change that in "'Free" when that man in the start of the song speak. I use the CD to sing the songs and thats so fun.

Fantastic Pirate Bootle
This is a great story with musical lyrics.My son loved it so much that he sings it for hours after we turn it off.It was purchased for a themed birthday party and all the kids and the adults loved it!We're looking for more!

Get this one...
This CD came as a gift for our 6 year old for his Pirate Party.And yeah, it served that purpose well.But as a dad who loved the Sex Pistols, They Might Be Giants and Elvis Costello, I was not prepared to want to listen a kid's CD for a SOLID TWO WEEKS AFTER THE PARTY WAS OVER.
excellent kid music
I have 2 pirate-obsessed boys, ages 4 and 6 ... we bought the first Capn Bogg n Salty album about 2 years ago when the obsession first kicked in. Both of the albums are witty, fun and extremely kid-friendly. My boys absolutely love them and they're pretty amusing to my husband and I. The band is really creative and the music is quite unique--it's not saccharine-sweet like so much kids' music. The music is Good, but this isnt the charlie brown album to buy.
Vince guaraldi often gets a bad wrap from jazz critics, claiming that his music is soft and not deep enough to be considered great.I couldnt disagree with them more, after thelonius Monk he is the easiest jazz pianist to recognize upon listening to.His playing sings with a sense of joy unlike anybody else.And his best music was written for the peanuts cartoons.

This is an odd item...
I've given this album 5 stars if nothing more than to possibly encourage some folks to take a closer look.As one reviewer here says, you need to be aware that not all the songs (or even the majority) are by the original artists.There are a lot of covers here, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Bummed out
I was really hoping it would have the original songs from the movies by the characters who sang them IN the movies.However, a lot of them are from the artists who performed them after the fact or who wrote them.Kind of a bummer.It wasn't all of them, but a lot of them.Still pretty good though. ... Get Up And Start Singing!
La-la-la... Have you ever had a song stuck in your head that you've fallen in love with, only to realize that you can't literally sing it because you don't know its lyrics? I bet so. If your answer is a yes, and you love Jesse McCartney, Kelly Clarkson, Bowling for Soup, Aly & AJ, Skye Sweetnam, Hilary Duff, Lindsay Lohan and Everlife, then this is for you. Even if perhaps you don't know all of the singers and/or their songs, this CD is a great way to learn more about them. Just because the CD says "Disney", it doesn't mean that the songs are Disney songs - it's just that Disney made this CD. For each song, the lyrics come on your TV screen, and you can even turn off your TV if you just want to listen to the songs. What's even greater is that you can choose either an instrumental or vocal version of each, so you can challenge yourself to sing alone. This would be a great pastime for parties and sleepovers, too. 3 year old sings "Captain Billy Bones"
Compared to the Pegleg Tango CD this one has more of the songs that my kids really enjoy. Less of the more modern songs and more small stories and traditional (shantylike - if that is a word) songs that are easy for my 3 year old to sing along with. The 6 year old enjoys the little stories and the way Captain Bogg and Salty talk. One of the favorite CDs for my kids.

I originally purchased this album after listening to the mp3 of Scurvy.I am now a fan.Every song on this album is fabulous.Although I can't say which song I like the best (I like four or five "the best"), I can say that if you are interested in a fun jaunt into silliness -- this is the CD for you!Although I originally thought that this was a recording only for young children, I'm finding that I too laugh along whenever I hear a really robust HAR-Har-Har!!!I just purchased Captain Bogg and Salty's second CD - "Pegleg Tango", and although it is good in it's own right, "Bedtime Stories for Pirates" seems more classically piratical. ... Good If You Want The Music Videos
Radio Disney Ultimate Jams sounds like a great compilation of songs, but these songs are already on jams 1 - 6, which is good if you already own those volumes. The only reason they did this was to put out the music videos that never came with volumes 1 - 6. You'd be paying for the same songs that you already paid for plus the music videos. Buy this only if you want the music videos.

A good album
Many of the songs are fantastic, some are pretty good, a couple are just okay, the cd has a couple of weak spots, but overall it is a good album.
It's okay, Jump5 and Clay make it worth listening to
If there weren't a certain two or three tracks on this CD, believe me, I wouldn't listen to it as often as I do.But there are enough good things to overcome the bad.
My personal favorite
From all4 Disneymanias I loved this best: it has best songs, best re-makes, best artists. Then goes 2nd Disneymania, then 1st and all way down 4th (too much hip-hop/rap songs, it doesn't sound as Disney at all!). But this CD is really cute! I liked it 1st time I heard it! Traditional carols at their Best!
If you are looking for recordings of some of the traditional carols and songs from your childhood to share with your child, look no further. This CD collection is great for home, school, or church. The children's voices on the recording are good without sounding like a "pop star wannabe". I play this CD for my 18 month old to dance and sing with, I use it at school, and the split track format allows me to even use it for performances at school and with my children's choir at church.
