Loved this CD!
This CD was so awesome! Compared to the last CD, this one has better songs and music. I also found it easy to dance to. The only thing is that It's Over and Charish the Moment weren't their (the Cheetah Girls) style. Other than that, this CD rocks!

Great cd
I'm actually 16, I just wanted to use this instead of signing in. This cd is GREAT!!! The songs are mostly upbeat except for It's Over. It's also a great cd to workout to, especially when you memorize the dances from the movie and then do them like I did. The first cd was a little corny and had corny songs, but this cd is WAY better!

The perfect gift for families with children
I learned about Elizabeth Mitchell and this album in a recent interview on NPR (October, 2006).They interviewed Elizabeth, her husband and their 5-year-old daughter and aired a few live performances.I fell in love with this family and their music instantly.I was instantly transported back to the days my mother used to sing with me.These are beautiful perfomances of heirloom quality childrens songs that are certain to leave a lasting impression on everyone in the family.I am getting ready to order a bunch of copies to have on hand for Christmas gifts and baby showers.

To say the least.....brilliant.
DO NOT EVEN QUESTION THE NEED TO BUY THIS CD!!!Seriously, unless you've just spent the past year living on mars (PS, welcome back), you could not have escaped the worldwide hoopla that has surrounded High School Musical.This sort of thing happens for a reason!This movie, is almost entirely faultless, even in aspects that in other movies most would immediately point out and pick apart, because in this movie, it just works.

Dorky!!!!
This movie is so dorky! Zac Efron literally can't sing! This guy named Drew Seely's voice was"blended" with his. And Ashley Tidesdale's voice is so whiny and annoying! This movie came out in Jaunary-february and it's still all anyone talks about! Zac efron and ashley are on the cover of ALL TEEN MAGAZINES! Grown-ups, gather your wits about you and repair to a different room: The Kidz Bop gang has returned for yet another installment, and if you think your 7-year-old has already had enough of the high-energy vocal flim-flamming, well, guess again. No self-respecting second-grader can resist a custom recasting of Daniel Powter's infectious "Bad Day." Ditto that where Madonna's "Hung Up" is concerned. Most appealing of all, though, may be the kiddification of the ballads: here's a rendition of Kelly Clarkson's "Because of You" that sounds ready-made for basement karaoke, or at least an electrifying lip sync into a hairbrush. And James Blunt's ever-popular "You're Beautiful" somehow takes on a tinge more urgency when it is sung, as it is here, by a chorus of chirpy-voiced, spaniel-eyed little admirers. Though the series is an easy target for cranky, musically discriminating adults, they should lay off. If not for the Bop (that won't stop), when would they find time to seal themselves off with the latest "NOW" disc? Read more

***Parents Be Alerted***
I purchased this album for my kids (6 + 4.5) and just assumed that it was child friendly because it is Kidz Bop and kids sing on the album.BUT I was wrong.On the last song #18 Don't forget about us.Half way through the song there is a line that was never altered for kids.The line states "b**tch don't do it like me, she'll never be MC.." Um hello!This is KIDZ BOP..... Needless to say I tried to contact the company but to no avail....Buyers be aware.... For the sake of the kids that are growing up way too fast...

Ruining our children
I am a 23 yr old mother of a 2 1/2 yr old. Not only are these children HORRIBLE singers, but there is a reason that most parents don't let their children listen to the original songs... they teach them things they don't need to know. I thought this would be a "kids" version that would get rid of that stuff when I let a child I was babysitting put the cd on... and was appalled at how much they talked about sex and other innappropriate things for children.They didn't take that out!Children are exposed to that every day in our world now, telling them it is "normal" and "ok".Parents have a big enough job to teach their children right and wrong with the way the world is today.It becomes a much harder job when you give them something that is for "kids" that teaches them that those things are "normal".They assume if it is ok for a kids cd, it can't be that bad.I think this is horrible and would never spend a penny on it for a child!Some of the songs I like in the originial version and do listen to, and this CD has ruined them!But when it comes to children who are too young to understand that it is just a song and doesn't mean what they say is ok... Strange, twisted, and funny
The second I heard the song, "Crows," I knew I had to own this album.I know nothing of Lemony Snicket books, but I've a been a Magnetic Fields fan for awhile.So, after very awkwardly browsing the childrens' section at the bookstore, I was able to find a copy of this really great album.I was very happily surprised to find that this CD is more in line with Merritt's great early nineties albums (like Holiday, Wasps' Nests, and The New Despair) rather than i or (shudder) Showtunes.This is a great mix of synths and traditional instruments (if you consider an electric sitar "traditional").The lyrics are very depressing/weird/funny/moving depending on the song, though some are all four.
The Gothic Archies' strongest outing yet...
...and one of Stephin Merritt's most memorable, and by far the funniest.On this album he is doing what he does best: being a glum old curmudgeon-popster with tongue wedged squarely in cheek.No knowledge of the Lemony Snicket books is needed.There are a number of direct references in several of the songs, but the lyrics stand on their own quite well, particular in numbers such as Freakshow, Shipwrecked, How Do You Slow This Thing Down?, and A Million Mushrooms.Expect an expertly crafted mixture of glum yet surprisingly catchy arrangements coupled with more of Merritt's hilariously morose lyrics.Highly recommended! ... Not real music!
I bought this for our baby and like many of the reviewers, I was disappointed in the synthesized music.I have played some of the pieces, and although the concept is good, I want my child to hear music as it was on intended on the real instruments.

Musician Mom Loves - Does Use RealInstruments!
My 8-month-old son and I listen to this CD every night, and by the Pachelbel Canon (track 7) he's usually sound asleep.It is NOT ALL SYNTHESIZER.The jacket clearly states that the "Music Box Orchestra" includes flute, piano, cello, percussion, english horn, and oboe.As a musician, I am not offended by the "easy-listening" versions of these classics.In fact, I enjoy them.They introduce my son to the timeless melodies WITHOUT OVERSTIMULATING HIM at bedtime.I find them relaxing too.

Great lullaby cd!
I love all the Baby Einstein products & this is my favorite cd so far!My 10 week old son loves it & we listen to it while I'm feeding him & when I'm rocking him to sleep.The music is very soothing for baby and mom. We bought this album and You Are My Flower at the same time, and we love both albums.Elizabeth Mitchell has a wonderful voice, and there is an eclectic quality in song choices and arrangements to keep the listener interested.My kids love hearing the kids on the background of the songs, too.

Outstanding!
I bought this CD recently for my 18 month old son and we just can't get enough of it!I wasn't surprised that it was good since my husband, son and I are huge fans of Catch the Moon but HOW good it was just blew me away.

Beautiful music!
The music is beautiful! If you enjoyed this film you will enjoy this CD. A rollercoaster of POTC is waiting for you! The most themes are from the first movie. You'll hear all kinds of moods in this music: heroic, lyrical, dramatic, ironic, and, all together - very inspirational! It just makes you feel the movie better - a great example of soundtrack and movie complementing each other. This music gives a lot of speed, passion, feeling of "being there" and, makes the movie complete. Thank you to composers for such a great work done!

Excellent! A Must Buy for Pirates Fans!
This soundtrack is just as good, if not, better than the actual movie! Hans Zimmer is an amazing man and has written perfect music for this movie. The soundtrack rocks from beginning to end. It tells the movie's story while taking on a life of its own. Mr. Zimmer definitely deserves an Academy Award for this project! Highly Recommended.

Excellent Soundtrack - some repeat tracks
Having heard about the darkness manifested in "Dead Man's Chest", I almost did not go and see it. I was pleasently surprised however, that when I did go see it I enjoyed it alot. I own the sound track for "Black Pearl" and having really enjoyed that, I really hoped the sequal would not decrease in music quality. I was not disapointed.

Things That I Like include Ralph's World
Ralphs's World is the creation of singer songwriter Ralph Covert. This album includes sixteen songs collected from the first six albums. Thank goodness, for my daughter, Sara Jacobs, who is within the target age of Ralph's World audience.She allows me to attend as many Ralph's World shows as possible.It would be virtually impossible for anyone not to be amused and entertained by this music.The videos that accompany this collection simply make this the must-buy album of the year. My recommendation is to see Ralph's World perform live as soon as you can. If current trends continue the band will be soon headlining Madison Square Garden. Once that happens, the shows will probably still be good, but how the heck would Ralph be able to invite all the kids up to the stage to join his band for 'Sunny Day Rainy Day Anytime Band'?

For old Ralph fans and the uninitiated
This is a "best of" album, perfect for introducing Ralph to a wider national audience.We in Chicago have been Ralph fans for years, and we have a lot of these songs, but it's nice to have them in one collection - and my kids love the DVD of music videos!We can't wait to hear more!!And check Ralph's World out live if you haven't already.Go Ralph!!

Little Boy and I love it!
My 3 YO son, who wouldn't sit through the whole movie, still loves everthing CARS. He knows and plays with all the characters, enjoys the video game, and LOVES the CARS the music soundtrack. He dances to the songs or has me play it while he eats his lunch or dinner. It's fun to watch him enjoy this album so much, especially when his second favorite is a toddler tunes CD that sings ABCs and 123s.
Out for a Drive.

Just great!
Chock full of enjoyable songs. You'll probably love it as much as your baby! Really, there's only one song we don't like very much.

Fun kids' music
The first time I heard Baby Beluga, I thought it was a sweet song, and one that I could listen to repeatedly without wanting to throw myself off a cliff. Both thoughts have turned out to continue to be true, and I know because my 2 yr old has insisted on listening to "Bee-looga!" over and over and over again. My husband and I happily sing along with Raffi on this and all the songs on the CD, and I have never once regretted introducing it to my family.

One of the greatest albums of all time
Time and again, Raffi proves and reproves his songwriting prowess as well as his ability to reinvent himself with each record. Let me tell you, this record is no different. Naysayers would have you believe this album is a pretentious, even masturbatory, mesh of children's music cliches, but one needs to look no further than the opening track to see this is simply not true. The song, Baby Beluga, opens to the sound of whales communicating amongst each other. This ambiance is broken almost too soon by Raffi's commanding voice, as he belts out the oh-so-familiar lyrics to a song we all know and love. Other tracks worthy of noting include "Kumbaya" and first single "This Old Man", which features Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) on drums. All in all, this is a VERY solid record and one of the greatest children's albums of all time. ... Read more

Great for the Car
We love this CD.The songs ring true even today - how important peace is, how we should treat our fellow man, how what we do effects everyone.

A "Must Have" for Peter, Paul and Mary Fan's

Great album
We like the album a great deal. It wasn't a big hit at first, but the songs grew on us. Our baby likes to bounce to the hippity hop song and others. It is a mix of classics (Mahna Mahna and Rainbows) and some new ones. A good variety.

When I was pg I was searching for good music that could grow with the baby. This CD had excellent reviews so I took the risk and am so thankful I did.

Gold assembled a handful of knowns and unknowns to make special cameos on this melodic and fun collection of original and classic Halloween tunes with a pop-rock bent. Among the haunted are David Cassidy, Karla Bonoff, Linda Ronstadt, Stephen Bishop, Nicolette Larson, and Gold's children and wife. From the Beatlesesque touches of "It Must Be Halloween" (parts seemingly lifted from "Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite") to Boris Karloff's "Monster Mash" and "The Addams Family" theme song, Gold and company offer up treats that kids and their parents will like, including the "Ghostbusters" theme. GREAT FOR VINTAGE HALLOWEEN PARTY!
I have just about EVERY Halloween Music CD out there and I'm not exagerating folks and this one is my favorite for a fun, entertaining party.Although the target audience may appear to be children, trust me when I say that "kids" of all ages will LOVE this music.It is just what I needed to fill the air during my upcoming Vintage Themed Halloween Bash (Adults Only).The tunes are very catchy.It will be hard to go back to the typical Halloween mixes after this one.ENJOY!!!

Wonderful accident
I happened upon the Backyardigans completely by accident.All it took was Austin singing the Mystery Lifeguard song and I was instantly hooked.
Love the show...

A Mom's Opinion
As a mom I find Girlz Rock to be a CD I enjoy along with my 9 and 7 year-old daughters.I learned about the CD from another mom who liked it.Now I am buying it as a present for an adult friend who likes it even though she doesn't have kids.As for the kids-they love it.This CD, along with the High School Musical soundtrack, has become our standard birthday gift for little girls.

Party Anyone?
This CD is great for a sleep over or just to listen to when your feeling down.I'm 12 and this is great music for a party with me and my friends durring the summer by the pool. We play it as backround music and when we here a song we like we a sing along and dance!!This is a great cd if you are a real girly girl!The songs have and up beat and some calming smooth souds.This is a great CD, if you don't believe me listen to the 30 second segments of each of the songs.I promise you, yourtween and her friends will love this Disney's GirlZ Rock!

GREAT RIDE ALONG MUSIC !!
I bought this one at the same time as the dvd.My two year old and I have a 45 minute commute to his childcare facility.We listend to this CD on our way to daycare and on the way home.He acutally will call out "Boots" or "Salsa" when he wants to listen to these specific songs.He is really enjoying this Cd.

Let's Listen to Laurie Music
I get home from work my girls age 2.5 and 4 ask to listen to Laurie music.And we dance around and act goofy and sing the songs together.They especially liked when I had Dvr'd the move to the music on Noggin!They would watch it over and over and over and dance and dance."Let's play freeze dance to Laurie music." You can get in some pretty silly poses that way.
