" Old Blue Eyes " is back and better sounding than ever in this 2000 digitally remastered cd of some of Frank Sinatra's most revered and cherished songs. I hope I'm not sounding too much like a commercial , yet it's true. I could pimp this cd forvever. I can be in any kind of mood and atleast two songs off of this packed cd , will suit me perfectly. From " Wee Small Hours " to "Witchcraft" , you'll be tapping your toes , mixing the martini's, calling up the lugs, and kissing the broads. This disc is a sure gas , baby. Ol Blue eyes
I already had this double disc cd.But unfortunatly disc two got stolen. I guess thats a good testiment by itself.The chairman sings almost all of his cherished hits.My personal favorites "The Lady is a Tramp""New York, New York" and "Witchcraft".This is music you could listen to over and over.I became a Sinatra fan strangly enough by watching SNL. Phil Hartman does an amazing Frank."Who'd you rather bang? Lana Turner or Rita Heyworth?I disqualify myself because I did them both!"

If only they had this CD to work with at Guanatamo and Abu Ghraib, traditional methods of torture would be unnecessary.As always, Ms. Streisand brings her overwrought, unctuous smarm to the proceedings, giving schmaltz a bad name, and squeezing every drop of melodrama out of the sickly sweet material that seems to find its way to her with the inevitably of swallows returning to Capistrano.But here's the exciting part.Not only does your entertainment dollar purchase 19 different degradations of all things musical by Barbara, you also get to hear her team up with a gaggle of equally horrible - and even a few more horrible - singers.

So good it is sometimes hard to play.
I have had this as a CD about 10 years, and had tapes previously, and lps previous. This and most other Piaf recordings I have owned is so good that it is sometimes hard to play.You are afraid you will never get it out of the CD player or hear anything else because it is so wonderful. This is a good introduction to Piaf's large body of work and to French songs of the middle of the 20th Century.

I was some what dissapointed in this c d. I like her music she belts out, not the very slow kind. I purched it for the song evergreen, as that was my wedding song. Most of the music is very slow and monitoned.

The most bang for your barbra buck!
This is a very generous selection of Barbra's lifelong career hits! My personal favorite is "Somewhere" which uses surround sound in it and it is the most moving version I have ever heard -- it went right through me and brought me to tears. For those fans new and old that want the top of the line valentine, this is it! The sound quality on this double CD is excellent -- even on the older hits. You won't be disappointed. Get it.

I don't get the politics of Tony Bennett saying "yes, dear" to KD Lang at the end of the 1st number, but sad to say, the whole album seems an overproduced mistake, including sappy saxophone interludes and treacly high-pitched violin countermelodies.
Lacks punch
I am a huge Bennett fan and have enjoyed this cd (although K.D. Lang?s voice doesn?t impress me that much.)That said, someone recently loaned me the cd of Louis Armstrong singing the same songs and it had a totally different feel.Truly Armstrong is inimitable.His versions are full of pizzazz, mischievousness and just plain fun.I?m sorry to say that after hearing the originals I found the Bennett/Lang rather mediocre.

Bobby Darin - They don't make them like that anymore!
I really love this CD, it is actually the 2nd Bobby Darin CD that I purchased. He sings clearly, with enthusiam, and a great big band sound in the background.You hear these trumpets, and a piano, things that some of today's bands just don't use.It is really great.When I am in a bad mood, all I need is a little Bobby Darin music to fix that problem.

A Wonderful CD Collection!
I think this is a beautiful CD to have.The songs are the versions (as far as I can hear) from the radio.The cover is dazzling with the scarlet red.The story in the liner notesis detailed.The price for such a high quality, brand-new collection is more than reasonable.After seeing it and playing it, I get this feeling that everyone, even if they do not call themselves a fan of Bobby Darin, should put this CD collection on their shelf for an eternal reference to him.(Or for as least for as long as a CD will maintain its integrity.)I bought it for a couple hit singles, and wish I was more open minded to have bought it before I had that myopic idea.

These are the Darin songs I enjoyed in my college days, 'Mack the Knife' 'Somewhere Beyond the Sea' "If I were a carpenter.' Darin had an upbeat strength in his voice, and a kind of youthful arrogance. Before these he had sung pretty low- grade teen hits. But with these songs he really hit his stride, and created top-notch music.

Wonderful Recording!
I do musical theatre with a small group,and they were doing Les Miserables.When I was cast as Young Cosette my dad thought it would be good to buy the cast recording since I was in more than one song.When it came; I listened to it i fell in love with the music.If I were to rate the songs for the top 10 I would do it like this.

This was the first CD I purchased of Les Misérables, my first exposure to the music was a local High School performance which didn't do it justice, but I bought this CD after seeing it. Truly Devine by Ms. Devine Herself
This album of Bette Midler's Greatest Hits is just that, plain and simple.You cannot play it enough, as she is truly one of the most talented singers / actress / and gifted person on the face of the earth.Rarely do I feel the emotion of anyone's performance in voice that is as moving as from her.This album gives you just a taste of the range of talent this true star really has!

The Divine Miss M's greatest hits and even better songs
I had the opportunity to see Bette Midler is her first concert in like a decade after she took off a whole bunch of years to get married and have a kid.I am here to tell you that there is nobody who works harder or put out more on stage than the Divine Miss M.We had to wait about half an hour for the show to actually begin and as soon as she descended on a swing and tried to start singing we stood up and cheered for several minutes.I kept track and including medleys Bette did parts of 48 songs, including an entire segment devoted to "Gypsy" (which she had just finished taping).She did most of the songs that appear on this hits collection, but the show stopper in my opinion was when she closed the first act doing "Delta Dawn."I will also never forget when she launched into a string of dirty jokes and how we all groaned when she started the last one ("Mother Teresa is taking a shower..."), because we knew it was going to be really, really bad.

I remember when i was 3 and could barely say anything, but i could sing with my daddy a couple of these songs. Now I'm 12 and still listen to it. At The Beginning is a really good song. I would say to get it on your ipod(which you should buy too it's worth every cent) but they don't sell it there. But this is a wonderful soundtrack for all ages! You'll love beginning to the end!

Dean Martin's 'ITALIAN LOVE SONGS'
Was in Italy getting married and discovered we were missing our two "Best of..." albums. No 'Volare' after flying all that way? And how can you visit Napoli (where love is king) without a copy of "That's Amore"? Well this album arrived on our wedding day - a godsend! Highly recommended.
