3-0 out of 5 stars Missing?
I loved all of the American Pie movies and the soundtracks r amazin but i was dissapointed to find the collage of all the great songs when stifler is dancing in the bar was not on the cd! still gr8 tho but only gets 3 stars bcoz the mix of all those songs was amazin!!

4-0 out of 5 stars A nice mix of songs from the movie
I had previously purchased the "American Pie 2" soundtrack and was very disappointed. The songs on the cd were by the same bands in the movie but not the tracks heard in the film. This cd was a pleasant suprise. The songs are the ones from the movie and there is a great mixture of genres and bands on this cd. I was very pleased with this soundtrack, because I mean hey, that's why people buy a soundtrack because they like the songs from the film, right? =)

5-0 out of 5 stars That song at the beginning of the credits
The song that starts playing at the beginning of the credits "the bed is on fire with passionate love, the neighbors complain about the noises above, but she only comes when she's on top etc.." is "Laid" by James.I think that is the song you guys are asking about. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars looking for an album to cheer you up?
this is by far the best cd reel big fish has made.there is not a song that i don't like on here.reel big fish can always cheer me up with their uptempo popska.this album ranges from the funny "she has a girlfriend now", to a little aggressive "skatanic", to just plain catchy "sellout" and "trendy."the only people who i know that don't enjoy this album, don't like this kind of music.

5-0 out of 5 stars buy this now!
If you're a fan of ska, you should definitely buy this album. hey, even if you don't like ska you should still buy this because it is just that good. This is probably the greatest reel big fish album ever (although they have never made a bad one).

5-0 out of 5 stars best ska cd ever
In my opinion, this is the best ska cd ever.I was first introduced to Reel Big Fish, like many of us, with the radio success of "sell out" around 1997.Over the years, i forgot about Reel Big Fish as my music choices went down the drain. However, about a year and a half ago, i saw this cd in the record store and picked it up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything you need.
As with other reviews i've done, i'll start out saying that Placebo is my favorate band ever. And that this album came out during the height of my obsession with their music. At the time, life was in turmoil, so their previous album(Black Market Music) and this one quickly became my personal soundtrack to losing hope.I still can't listen to this album without getting some sort of intense flashback.
5-0 out of 5 stars Ambient, soothing beauty.
A problem with the music industry today is that artists are portrayed - both by the media and through their music - as being larger than life. This image can often create a barrier to the listener when hearing their music, which stops them from connecting properly with the emotions being evoked. The beauty of "Sleeping With Ghosts" lies in Placebo's ability to remove this metaphorical barrier and expose the listener to the full impact of the emotions being evoked. Listening to "Sleeping With Ghosts" is an experience I find to be akin to talking with a close friend, in that the band make no attempt to salvage the "rock star" image amidst the tender, unpretentious beauty on offer.
5-0 out of 5 stars So Under-rated,both band and album
Bands come and go, this is a band that is still going but sadly never really came to the limelight they deserve. This album is my favourite from their collection, songs like "special needs" still keep their original sound, "english summer rain" is such a great song, for anyone lucky to see them live then this song will move you.I think if you're looking for an introcudtion to the band then buy their "black market music" album as its more single orientated, but if you love the band then this album is just fantastic as it adds a little bit more to their sound than before. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars All the songs you remember.. with a twist
Great CD with songs you remember as a kid. I really got it because of the "Tra La La" Song from the Banana Splits, but all the others are great re-makes; Hong Kong Phooey, Scooby Doo, Stop the Pigeon, Fat Albert's Theme, Spiderman.. and others.

1-0 out of 5 stars JUNK
If you're looking for soundtrack recordings, DO NOT GET THIS!! It's nothing but sick, annoying, noisy, GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for the young and the old!
I've had this CD since it's release! LOVED it then, still love it! I think the covers are GREAT! Better than the originals, makes for much more fun reliving the cartoons I grew up on! I had recently purchased a copy for my friends son, who LOVES it, and since has been learning to play guitar! 5-0 out of 5 stars I LISTEN TO IT ALL THE TIME
This is such a good band and such an awsome cd! Buy it and then buy A Hangover You Dont Deserve they are both so freakin awsome and (as u can tell by the name) i listen to them both all the time!!! buy it buy it buy it

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty Good
I got this album because I thought that their single "Girl All the Bad Guys Want" was catchy and funny. The rest of the album is typically like the single. I usually stay away from music like this but I would recommend it for people who something fresh. However, I did think that a lot of their songs sounded alike. It didnt have enough variation.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great pop punk CD........
Bowling for Soup's CD is a great pop punk CD that is similar to Blink 182's style of just having fun.And I enjoy it!The songs are catchy and singable. And the music is great to blare in the car.I don't skip any song on this CD it is just a fun CD. If you liked the singles you will love this CD as all the songs have a similar feel. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Alive With The Glory of Love...
A really great CD, Alive with the Glory of Love is perhaps the best song and I cant get enough of it.I cant wait to see what else these guys come out with

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best bands I have ever heard!
This band is amazing! They have managed to create a CD that is so diverse and so different from anything else out there that I can only describe it as... "Musical A.D.D."... I mean that in the a good way! Each song contains 2 or 3 songs in itself. There are great verses and even better breakdowns... A few songs are even transformed into completely different songs! You will think you are listening to two different ones when in all actuality you are listening to the same one... This CD is in my top 5 favorite albums! ... Read more

Editorial Review

Another album of unapologetic pop punk songs from this Santa Barbara outfit who have smartly filled in the void that Green Day left when they decided to dabble into rock's early canon and eschew self-loathing for more mature introspection. Sugarcult has none of those pretensions; instead their rock anthems are rather unadulterated and athletic--even when they're trying to sonically extricate themselves from complicated and claustrophobic romantic entanglements. With lyrics more clever than smart, Sugarcult makes romantic fatalism oddly entertaining as they take listeners through a wistful post mortem of a love affair gone awry. --Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Few Decent Sophmore Attempts
I think this album is equivelent to Start Static. My fave track is 'Champaghne' (is that spelled right?).

3-0 out of 5 stars Sugarcult's sophomore attempt.
Sugarcult's sophomore album, Palm Trees and Power Lines, falls into an interesting postion when it comes time for me to review it. I loved Start Static, and I'd go as far as to call it one of my 10 favorite albums released since the year 2000. I had very high hopes that PTAPL would not disappoint.
4-0 out of 5 stars Stellar Pop Punk
You have to love an album that doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. After I heard Bouncing of the Walls a few years back, I was intrigued by Sugarcult, but never really followed up. Sugarcult's latest is pop punk at it's finest, and it's damn good at what it sets out to do.It's great to see an album come out now a days that isjust flat out pedal to the metal unapolegetically pop punk and not emo or hardcore. This album is all about kick ass riffs and fun rock. This album is a great spiritual successor to past pop punk classics from Blink 182 and the others who knew how to put out an album that is all about rocking out. This is one you can just throw in your cd player and listen the entire way through.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very live in London
If you're a fan of Against Me! you understand that vocalist/guitarist Tom Gabel has a penchant for surprise. No one ever knows what to expect from Gabel and his ever-changing lineup--not even Gabel himself. Nothing is ever planned. Each of the albums Gabel has recorded for Fat Wreck Chords evolved out of collaborations with myriad sidemen, friends, and producers.
3-0 out of 5 stars Kind of disappointing
I haven't seen them live but anyone who has seen the DVD, "We're Never Going Home", would agree that this sounds far different. Tom never sang the whole way through a song on the DVD, often taking breaks and passing the mic around for fans to sing. I would rather get what their live show is really like because I don't think this is it. Although I am a fan of Americans Abroad, the song.

1-0 out of 5 stars slow, boring...

1-0 out of 5 stars That stupidhead who cusses. It should say this, not badworda-palooza....
OKAY!! You little stupidheads that like Sum41 and Blink182... let me ask you something. If they aren't PUNK... then what the heck are they? They certainly ARE NOT pop, or any of that other stupid type of music... and you obviously don't know what the heck you're talking about, so shut up and sit your bottom down. And, no, I'm not saying that all that other stupidity isn't punk or anything. Everyone has their own opinion, right? And, they all stink. But, still. Here's mine. There's no need to go off and make fun, or like Blink182, or Sum41, now is there? Bet they have a heck of alot more talent then you and they're stinkin' trying. They're two whatever bands. The pop generation is going downhill, and punk is rising. THE HECK punk is dead, ya dumb retard. Anyways, I'm out.

2-0 out of 5 stars I was dissapointed
I never gave this band any thought until I saw them cover Metallica's "Master of Puppets" for 2003's MTV Icon. And though they didn't play the whole song, they did play the solo and the fact that they were able to pull that off got the attention of me.When some kid I knew was giving away CD's he didn't listen to anymore, along with two other CD's, I picked this one just to see what the boys were made of. Well, I was a bit disappointed. It seems that though these guys grew up listening to bands like Judas Priest and Iron Maiden (as mentioned in the song "Fat Lip") and seem to be decently talented players, they are either only capable of writing pop-punk music or they were just focusing on what pleases the masses when making this record.
4-0 out of 5 stars Sum's All Killer
It was in 2001, when the punk group Sum-41 finally hit it big with the release of their breakthrough album: ALL KILLER NO FILLER. The band received radio and televised airplay like crazy. Sum-41 also landed soundtrack spots for copilation CD's, the film Spider-man, and the television show Malcom In The Middle. It was clear that the public had finally come around to listening to the punk group's music. The public had good reason. Sum-41 has a great sense of when and how much distortion to use in their very interesting and fast paced rhythm changes. The guitars have a great taste in creating simple but very unique melodies. The bass gives the extra fill in creating the band's harmonies, and the drums keep everything together. The lyrics to ALL KILLER NO FILLER are amusing and can even be considered to be slightly contraversial for the track "Fat Lip". The lyricist makes honest and "in your ears" remarks about society and its expectations of its citizens. ALL KILLER NO FILLER is a fun piece of work, and one I highly recomend hearing in its entirity.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better than the originals?
Generally I'm not a fan of remakes or remixes, but Me First and the Gimme Gimmes changed my mind. The best track in my opinion is "I Believe I Can Fly", however, my best friend swears by "Mona Lisa". The secret to this appeal is that MF&tGG have genuine talent. They're worth the money.

This is another great album from Joey,Mike,Spike,Jaxon, and Derrick! This time they cover/ruin some old R&B hits! This is truly hysterical! The best songs are, I believe I can fly, and Nothing Compares 2 U.Buy it! Buy it! Buy it!

3-0 out of 5 stars Okay, but kind of disappointing
After 3 great Cd's and a bunch of 7"'s I was really looking forward to this CD.On this CD, the guys did nothing new with the material. On previous records they added their own spin to the songs.... on this one, the songs sound like the originals except they are faster and the guys don't put their own spin on the music. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars More Soup Please!
I want to start by saying "I LOVE THIS BLOODY BAND!". Now for this album, it is a compilation album of soundtrack songs and others. It is a hit & miss affair throughout. I have to be honest here when it's bad it's really not that bad. 'Greatest Day' is a typical BFS hit single with the snappy beat & sing-a-long chorus. The absolutely horrid Britney Spears song should be left alone. Nobody cares about the awful song and no one does it justice (plenty have tried). 'Here We Go' is another good song with a great little groove ala the Flaming Groovies. There are many moments on this album which make it a good addition to your collection. The true standout tracks are Sam The Shams 'Little Red Ridinghood' & Mathew Sweets 'Sick Of Myself' and have the ability to become hit songs for the best post Green Day pop punk band so far...

4-0 out of 5 stars BFS Goes to the Movies
This record isn't quite as good as some of the other stuff Bowling for Soup has done, but the fun, playful vibe still shows through. Many songs are covers, and I have to say I prefer their original stuff, but it's not bad. If you're new to BFS, you ought to listen to Hangover You Didn't Deserve or Drunk Enough To Dance first. One complaint I have is that the color of the print on the insert doesn't contrast enough with the background- it's extremely difficult to read.

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best BFS CD's ever.
I recently listened to this cd, and I'd have to say it is one of the best ones Bowling For Soup has recorded. Even though I heard a few of the tracks in other places, it is a great compilation, worth buying for even just Star Song and the Gilligan's Island Theme. The songs on here have a habit of just sticking into your head, which I think is a good thing. Overall, I'd say if you are a fan, buy it as soon as possible. If you have never listened to BFS before, buy Drunk Enough To Dance first, or even A Hangover You Don't Deserve. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Favorite CD- and trust me I have many.
I would rate this CD higher than 5 stars if I could! It is my favorite cd and I listen to every single song on it equally! All are amazing! I feel like I could fall into the sky and just listen to it if that even makes sense! While I was in Japan I promoted Acceptance and everyone I let listen to it thought it was amazing. I would buy this cd all over again just to prove how much I love it! If you don't buy it you are missing out on my personal favorite cd...and some of the best songs I have ever heard in my life!

5-0 out of 5 stars Probably their best album
This was the frist NOFX album I heard and I still love it just as much today. The songs are funny, clever upbeat, exciting and really showcase NOFX's talent. If you like punk or pop-punk than this is definately a must have album for your collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars White Trash, Two Heebs, and a Bean-NOFX
Okay, let me start by saying that I am a huge NOFX fan, and I have been for my entire life.I have listened to all of their albums, and I must say, this is one of their best ones (the only one I would have to say I like better is "S/M Airlines").This a perfect combination if punk, ska, and a good time. It's great, it's funny, and its just all around awesome.Useless Fact: This was the first full length NOFX album El Hefe appeared on (he was on the EP "The Longest Line" before this). Before i get to the song-by-song review of this great punk rock treasure, I need to get some of this out of the way. Some retard posted something like "this isn't punk, get simple plan and good charlotte".shows how much you know kiddie (yeah, i'm older, i just don't have an amazon username).this is REAL punk! good charlotte are sellouts, poseurs, and they never WERE punk! they're music represents NOTHING that punk is, and it doesnt have the punk FEEL or SOUND.yeah. nofx are pretty big, but they are NOT sellouts, OR posuers, and yeah, there are more underground hardcore-er bands that might be considered "more punk", but this is real f*****g punk s**t.Anyway, here is the song-by-song review of this great piece of punk.
5-0 out of 5 stars Classic
This album is a true classic of what punk was in the early 90's.

to me, this is rancid's best work. i don't understand why people say it's "rough around the edges", and crap like that! this is punk people! anyways, every song is fast, and catchy - which to me makes it a classic. this album kicks off with "adina", (one of the best songs on this CD) which is a fast short song, with awesome guitar riffs. and after you hear that song...you definetely will wanna listen to the next - trust me. and the next song "hyena", is another one of the best songs, and an awesome chorus that's all yelling...every song has it's own thing that makes it good. one of the slower songs, has got to be "outta my mind". tim's singing is what makes this song a classic (to me). tim's guitar work, bret's drumming, and matt's bass playing are at their best on this album. so if you're new to rancid, i would HIGHLY recommend this. if not this, "let's go" is another good one.

5-0 out of 5 stars super rad album
This record is awesome. This was before Lars joined the bad, but Lint, Brett Reed and Matt Freeman were all in it.Matt sings a lot more in this album than Rancid's later albums (prolly because Lars is a better punk singer), so if you don't like Matt's voice you might not dig a couple songs.Overall: f'ing rad album.Go to Epitaph Record's website to listen to a couple of the tracks before you buy it, if you want.

5-0 out of 5 stars LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man, oh man! This record kicks the sh*t outta all those pussy Good Charlotte albums. It starts out with Adina, fast pumping and loud! This whole album rocks, though I still don't see what people have against Indestructable. Oh, well. If you like real punk, get this. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great cd
Almost all the songs on here are great. A New Beginning is a great opening for The Anthem. The best songs on here are The Anthem, Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, Wondering, My Bloody Valentine, and Hold On. Hold On is one of the most emotional songs I ever heard. I'd say it is the best one on the album. I reccomend this to almost anyone, except for those who like hip-hop and "real" punk rock.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not actually 12...17 the pro good charlotte debate part one

4-0 out of 5 stars "Punk Poser"...NOT
Okay, I am here to say that I liked this album quite a bit. I don't give whether or not the rest of these idiots who call it "punk poser" or whatever do. It doesn't matter what they think about it, it only matters what I think about it, because I am the one listening to it, not them.

The firecrackers on the sleeve give a good idea of what to expect on this Florida ska-punk group's third major-label album after a brief sojourn back in the indie world. Horns, chugging guitars, and crashing rhythms mesh to create a high-energy racket that refuses to subside until the band has rolled out its raucous closing cover version of Cheap Trick's "Surrender." The label turbulence does little to affect its angular wit, as focus returns to the heady party vibes of the group's hugely successful major label debut, Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Worth owning if you're a fan of the genre.
This is vintage Less Than Jake. Fun, slightly homogenous, but fun enough to make up for that for the most part. The new version of "Look What Happened", "Science of Selling Yourself Short" and their cover of "Surrender" are LTJ at their best. The album does kinda fade into a blur towards the middle, but snaps out of it with the decent "She's Gonna Break Soon" and the excellent "Brightest Bulb Has Burnt Out" There isnt anything quite as brilliantly simple yet easygoing and fun as "History of a Boring Town" or "Gainesville Rock City". But there's plenty here to add to the library. It isnt a highlight in their career, but far from a blemish.

5-0 out of 5 stars Their best yet
Their maturity as songrwriters gets better and better with every album... None of their other albums quite compare to the songwriting talent displayed in this.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!Good Music!

2-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointing after a stellar first effort
If you aren't a hard-core fan don't buy this CD. Spend your money on their first CD or "Hearts of the Innocent". If you have those two, be content that you have their best.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful!
The lyrics on this cd are amazing!I especially love "Passion."It describes just how I feel about Christ. The album is beautifully written with the sweet sounds of bass and guitar.I'd recommend this cd to anyone who enjoys the sounds of Linkin Park but wants to enjoy heartfelt worship.Definitely worth the money.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awsomeness
This CD as well as all the others is amazing. Good hard rock with great strong lyrics. Many people will say "This CD is a lot better than Strong Tower", or "Dissapointed with S/T because the songs were too slow", and even "This is a lot more mature". What they don't realize is that Strong Tower ISaworship album! Being able to slow down for a while and praise God with music like that is not a bad thing!

4-0 out of 5 stars Incredible, but the sound engineer needs to be given a hearing test.
It really is a fantastic album, song wise, but what is up with the sound? It's tragic that an album as good as this one should succumb to something like poor sound. It's not even an issue of lacking polish...it's all mids, sort of like an MP3 ripped at 32kbps. The drums are so muddy sounding that at times they sound like they're being played in a room far away from the rest of the music. It does vary slightly from song to song, but overall, it's not good. I have to agree with the other reviewer who stated that Samiam are best with a nice clean sound. Listen to Clumsy, then put this in.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good album, but not very good production
Of all the Samiam albums, this one reminds me most of Soar. In fact, if this album came out after Soar I believe it would have been generally considered outstanding. However, the main reason it doesn't get five stars from me is because it does seem like such an enormous step backwards in production quality. In some ways it's nostalgic, and I half wonder if it was produced this way intentionally. This album could easily be confused to be an older album from the band from the Soar era.
4-0 out of 5 stars Keep listening
Great album, I cant take it out of my cd player. It's been a week since it's release and it is all I have been listening to. Don't let the raw productions and the way the singer sings on this album lead you astray. I was kinda bummed about it at first too and thought that it sucked. But after I listened to it for a couple days I was hooked. The lyrics are awesome and the songs are well written. After a while they have the old samiam feel and you will find them stuck in your head. I can honestly listen to every song on the album up to Lulliby and then I usually skip that one cause it gets kinda boring, but that is the only song I think that is not that good. I just wish the drums sounded a little better. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars What happened to Pezz ??
Well I'v been following Billy Talent sinse they were called Pezz... I dont know if anyone really remembers that far back when they released there first album "Watoosh!". My favourite song from that album without a doubt was When I Was A Little Girl closely followed up by Bird In The Basement, they really made the band. But I have always wondered why they changed the name of their band I mean what was wrong with Pezz ?? I love Pezz they are the best lollies in the world... Who knows maybe they didn't want to be mistaken for a lolly. Anyway you guys are still high up in my charts although I beleive Billy Talent was a better album then Billy Talent II. Why ?? Because there where was way more hits on Billy Talent that could have gone all the way and there was a lot more use of Ben Harper's strange but addicting screaming. So if anyone remembers the days of Pezz and the reason for the name change please comment I would love to know.

4-0 out of 5 stars seeing these guys live makes you..
..wanna ask where these guys get there energy from. Billy Talent, the boys from Mississauga, Ontario. They went to the high school i currently attend (Our Lady Of Mount Carmel Secondary School). They came two years ago and i regret not going down to the cafeteria now because back then all i would listen to was hip hop. These guys are great. It also shows me that i can become a musician despite where i live. Best tracks are: Try Honesty, Line

4-0 out of 5 stars Good record..however...
If U want Sublime's TRUE greatest hits, you need to pick up both "40 oz to freedom" & the self titled album!Otherwise, your settling for less...this album has a lot of classic sublime..but there is still more classic sh*t to be heard...just pick up the 2 records mentioned aND you'll be way more saticfied thaN With just buyin' this cut.

2-0 out of 5 stars yeah this isnt a good hits album...
all of the songs on this album are very good, however it doesn't live up to standards. sublimes a much better band than this album shows. if your a casual fan, i would not recomoned this to start. instead, i'd recomend "40 oz. to Freedom" thats my personal favorite Sublime album. it may not have all the hits on it, but is much better than robbin the hood and self-titled. great songs, terrible compilation
