4-0 out of 5 stars Amen Omen alone is worth the price of admission
This is a fine and tantalizing sample of Ben Harper's live performance at Hollywood Bowl and as with most great EPs it is much too short! This is definitely a gem to add to any Ben Harper collection. Like other reviewers I liked two of the four songs more than the other two (but not neccessarily the same two), and that's why this EP gets four stars. I'll give a song by song run down:
4-0 out of 5 stars Good EP
Ok, I'll start out by telling you that if you have never heard Ben play his music live then you are missing out just as much as someone that has never seen DMB play live. Ok, so why did I give it just 4 stars? Well, I don't really like 2 of the songs on it. I love almost everything that Ben has ever written, but I don't like "With my own two hands" and "Sexual Healing" is not on my top 20 songs of his. Now remember, I DID give 4. Trust all of our online reviews, "Amen Omen" could not have been recorded and performed better. At a point Ben holds a note and the band stops as Ben shows us how talented of a vocalist he is (it's BEAUTIFUL). Last of all, "Brown Eyed Blues" has more soul to it in this recording than could even be imagined (the studio version was good, but this live version could put it in my top 10 list). Very good, well worth you money.

4-0 out of 5 stars too short, worth buying for 2/4 songs
very good version of with my own two hands/war.end of amen omen is awesome.sexual healing is boring and redundant with live from mars.brown eyed blues was a dissapointment compared to the album version.wish there was more songs from the concert on the CD. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars "Whiskey" or the Reunion album?
Recorded at a gig in Leysin, Switzerland on July 12, 1991, this album originally circulated as a bootleg known as "Live on Rain Street" before it was reissued as an "official" album release in 2002.The band members themselves have protested its release, and request that you instead purchase the live CD from their 2001 reunion performance at the Brixton Academy, available as Disc 2 of the Pogues Ultimate Collection.
3-0 out of 5 stars not as bad as others will lead you to think
i guess this falls into the same category as the Clash's "Cut The Crap" album. One person says its bad so others will think the same.this is not a bad quality live recording (trust me, you can do worst), but it's not the best.i must admit it has good stuff on it (especially rain street).but then again shane sounds drunk...its not a bad recording, just keep that in mind, but you will probably want to wait for the re-union album.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible Recording
This is a horrible CD. It was actually released without the permission of The Pogues and they (The Pogues) ask you to please not purchase it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Strange album
The concept is supposed to a mix of live album stuff with studio songs thrown in as well. It's works for me, but I would have loved to hear their versions of other classic songs by them and instead there are new songs and strange improvisations on watching "Planet of the Apes."I mainly give this album a good rating because the new live versions of songs make them sound more refreshing and louder as well and the studio tracks aren't bad either, the "...Apes" tracks are hit and miss, though.

5-0 out of 5 stars Very good
I'am a big fan of TMBG.I first herd it when my friends step Dad was playing it when I was over at is house. It sounded pretty cool, but I had no idea what the band was called.O well.About one year later when I was at camp my councler brought a TMBG cd.He was playing a song I heard(NEW YORK CITY)and it sounded familer.Well he started geting me to listen to TMBG,well I got this cd for christmas recently and I loved it.I'am glad it had Partical Man,but my fav is They Got Lost. And one of the hidden track(Nmb 21)Escape from planet of they apes is cool. But whats up with the song spyder. So I say you should but this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars This album fails on so many levels
As a representation of their live act, it's not even close: nevermind the lack of crowd noise and stage banter, most of it isn't even from actual shows. It's 'live in studio' and soundcheck recordings, with overdubs galore.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Better live . . . .
The songs from Automatic (studio) will forever be cursed by the drum machine the boys use.Well, hear you hear them at the top of their game with a rythm section that makes those good songs great! The BBC recording as always is crystal clear and well balanced.Songs are layed completely through and there is a mix of b-sides like "The Perfect Crime."
4-0 out of 5 stars JAMC with a REAL drummer
So I am a huge fan of JAMC... and Darklands must be my all time favorite album, and while their music will pass the test of time, it's their drum computer that usually gives away the 80's background. In their early years, they actually performed with a drum computer (and usually did not play longer than 30 minutes) and many times their concerts were one huge feedback noise attack. However, by the 90's, they performed with a complete band and that is where these recordings outperform the originals on the studio releases. Especially 'Happy when it Rains' or 'Head on' sound fantastic with a real drummer. These are not 'noisy' recordings like on the 'Peel Sessions' CD, but two great snapshots of one of the greatest bands playing brilliantly dark rock songs. I definitely recommend this album... also get 'Darklands', 'Automatic' and 'Stoned and Dethroned' (and if you like it noisy, definitely get 'Psycho Candy').

The ever-expanding log of BBC vault recordings is a decidedly mixed lot, with plenty of rubbish surfacing along with more than a few gems. This 10-song collection from the short-lived but vastly influential foursome Joy Division definitely belongs in the latter camp. 5-0 out of 5 stars A lot of great stuff "Heart and Soul" left out
"Heart and Soul" is an amazing and comprehensive overview of Joy Division's brief but crucial recorded legacy.HOWEVER, it omits the following BBC Sessions: "Insight," "Transmission," (both versions), "She's Lost Control" (both versions), "The Sound Of Music" and "Twenty Four Hours."This means almost all of this CD is NOT on Heart and Soul.Which means you should buy it.Now here's my review:
5-0 out of 5 stars Transmission: Intensity Times Two
As we approach the 25th anniversary of the death of Ian Curtis, the loss magnifies, and the impact made by Joy Division becomes ever more apparent. Moby. Nine Inch Nails. Interpol. The list of artists influenced by Joy Division are too many to mention.
4-0 out of 5 stars Joy Division through a different lens.
This is Joy Division away from the influences of Martin Hannett, who produced both their studio albums and is largely credited with helping craft their sound. I was rather suprised by the consistency of these tracks. There are only 10, and both Transmission and SLC get worked over twice. They are pretty tight, demonstrating that Joy Division's songs were about substance and not style- they sounded just as great when transmuted to a different settting. The sound is more full-bodied, not as cold and skeletal as the Hannett productions. Again, I was happily surprised.

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost as good as the real thing!
Having had Sonic Youth jackhammer my ears any number of times in varied locations, including "warming up" for a reunited Iggy & the Stooges at an outdoor amphitheatre to an audience of mostly middle aged guys wearing New York Dolls t-shirts, I've gotta say this live document from the "Sister" tour is like Manna from heaven, and I don't even believe in heaven.Other reviewers of this item have complained about bad sound quality, but clearly these people have hearing even more badly degraded than mine, since as far as I can tell the sound quality here completely outstrips any bootleg of the band that I've heard. For instance, this is in freakin' STEREO for crying out loud--I mean, a bootleg is just like being at the show, if "being at the show" means standing outside the venue with yr ears pressed up against the doors.Considering the recording here was engineered by longtime SY friend Wharton Tiers the results couldn't really be any better.Let me also remind naysayers that we're talking about Sonic Youth, a band that has done more for feedback and drone than anyone going back to Hendrix, a band whose love of lo-fi squall is pretty much unmatched. If all you really want is "perfect sound forever" then maybe you should stick with the Alan Parsons Project and leave living, breathing and bleeding music to the rest of us.Sorry for the mini-rant, but audiophiles annoy me like rock critics who insist on using nonsense terms like "collegiate rock" or "Coldplay."
4-0 out of 5 stars if you care
the japanese typing on the cover means "my mother went shopping". I just tought i should let you know.

4-0 out of 5 stars Better shows from this era exist...
I mean, let's make no mistake, any Sonic Youth record is better than most everything else on the racks. But when comparing this to other bootlegs from the "Sister" tour, you wonder why they chose this one to release. The sound is SO thin, and it really kills some of the songs.I would recommend tracking down "Be My Sister in Death", as it has almost all the same songs but a MUCH better sound.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars i killed mister moonlight
a showcase for the deep haunting voice of Mr. Murphy. the song's arrangements are sparse and spare and it works as a beautiful minimal piece of recorded live music. the sound quality is pristine and the song selection is superb. a cool document for his fans and the bonus disc should thrill all the bauhaus enthusiasts.

4-0 out of 5 stars One bad apple
I love PM. I was so damn excited about this CD and he sings well and the band is perfect for this. Its the crowd noise up in the mix that makes this thing not get played that often. Its like a Beatles concert and there is this one woman(girl I would imagine) who seems to be having some sort of orgasm the whole show. hard to believe she is enjoying the music with he mouth open the whole way.
2-0 out of 5 stars I'm not big on live stuff anyway, BUT....
Yeah, like the title of this review says, I'm not really into live albums. So if you like that stuff a lot you can ignore this review. But really, I heard this album about a year ago.I found it tedious to listen to.Peter really seems to be straining in his vocal performance.Plus, the crowd noise was incessant and very high in the mix. That's really all I have to say about this album.Perhaps someone can make a wise decision about where to spend his or her money from this review. And like I said, if you have to have everything Peter has done or really go for live albums, then please feel free to ignore this. ... Editorial Review

It's often been bemoaned that the Birthday Party, Nick Cave's postpunk outfit, never managed to capture on record the confrontational frenzy of their live performances. These four sessions, recorded for the John Peel radio show between September 1980 and November 1982, arguably form the most accurate portrayal of the band ever released, as they were under severe time constraints on each occasion. The 16 tracks survey their finest work--"She's Hit," "Big Jesus Trash Can," "King Ink"--all with simple, portentous bass lines and Rowland Howard's vicious stabs of reverberating guitar. The juddering rockabilly of "Release the Bats" (which, much to Cave's disgust, became an anthem for Goths worldwide) is also featured, along with the seldom heard "Marry Me (Lie! Lie!)" and a churning cover of the Stooges' "Loose." As the tracks (and the years) pass, one can see Cave's progression toward writing somber murder ballads, such as "Deep in the Woods." And there is undeniable evidence that he was a tremendously funny man from the start: "Even my dog kicks me!" he howls during "Figure of Fun." Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars yet another 5-star Nick Cave recording
The more that I listen to Nick Cave, the more I strain my imagination as to any other musician who can touch him. No one else rocks so hard.I ran across this CD in a used bin today and have listened to it three times already. "Blistering" is the word for this one. One observation: I swear I hear influences of the Captain's Trout Mask Replica....which is by no means a bad thing.

4-0 out of 5 stars About time this came out...
The first release I heard by the Birthday Party was actually their Peel EP (the old ones with the grey cover) that I picked up while in high school years ago. I really dug it -- at the time, it was possibly the most horrifying thing I'd ever heard -- and I really enjoyed tracks like "Sometimes Pleasure Heads Must Burn," probably my favorite BP song. Anyway, this Peel session brings the EP back, along with a lot of other material. Generally, Peel sessions don't disappoint, and neither does this. Play it loud for someone you love.

5-0 out of 5 stars Another Fun Party
It's simply another album of collected songs from the greatest band in the 80's or any time before it, The Birthday Party. And so, simply put, it's an album of fantastic quality and electrifying fun from Nick Cave and his group of rebel musicians that will get your blood bumping and jumping if you are a fan of old, rough and original rock from the creators of such masterpieces as Dead Joe, The Six Strings that Drew Blood, and Sonny's Buring. This album is the greatest collection of The Birthday Party's songs yet to be released. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Show
An excellent show start to finish. Lots of songs from no code(my favorite album) so that makes me happy. Highlights are In Hiding, present tense, and in my tree. The only thing I can say bad about this is the sound quality. The bands instruments come in loud and clear but ed's voice sounds a little distane while mike's guitar is almost too loud.

5-0 out of 5 stars First Hand Account
I was working as a stagehand backstage at this show in 2000.It was the third of three nights that they were there. You all should buy this 2-Disc Show for "Baba O'Riley" alone. The scream that Eddie Vedder lets out during that song was worth the price of admission(even though I didn't pay, I GOT paid to be there).
5-0 out of 5 stars Ideal for the No Code fan
One of the best things about the 2000 tour was that, over the course of 72 shows, the band gets the chance to flex the muscle of a six-album catalog. This night, No Code is the showcase. Obscure songs Red Mosquito, Sometimes, and Mankind shine in the main set, and the encore features In My Tree and Smile- in this Pearl Jam fanatic's humble opinion, Smile is one of their very best songs. Even more impressive is the lack of lyrical flubs across all these rarely-performed songs. Even when Stone Gossard sings (Mankind is the only PJ song he sings lead for), he NAILS it.

5-0 out of 5 stars A must for any Joy Division fan
I've been a Joy Division fan for years, but before hearing this album, I'd never heard them live before.Les Bains Douches totally blew me away. The songs I thought were excellent on their studio albums were phenomenal live.Their emotionally unsettling lyrics and sound pack a power, energy, and raw nerve live that's absolutely chilling. The thrashing "Day of the Lords" and"Transmission" demonstrate is perhaps the most brilliant example of Joy Division's affect in their entire catalogue, live or studio."Shadowplay" and especially "Atmosphere" show themselves as two of the most haunting, brooding songs ever recorded.Perhaps the only bad spot on the album is the outdated synthesizer-prominent sound on "Love Will Tear Us Apart", but it is outshined by every other track on Les Bains Douches, and Les Bains Douches outshines any studio work Joy Division ever recorded.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Lively Taste of Joy Division
When Ian Curtis hung himself in 1980 on the eve of Joy Division's first US tour, it's safe to say that no one could ever experience the feeling of being at a Joy Division concert ever again.
5-0 out of 5 stars amazing
You will never get the chance to see Ian Curtis seizure out onstage. Instead, you will buy this live CD, and when the drums come in on Disorder, you will black out - you will white out - God will come before you and fill you, and you will seizure out instead. Curtis' voice sounds especially urgent and depraved. He is going crazy on this, you can hear it, and his singing is sometimes off-cue, out of tune, and imprecise, but it is always passionate and moving. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The Cocteau Twins were one of the more distinctive recording acts of the 1980s and their dreamy, atmospheric sound provided an ethereal sonic template for many Euro-pop groups of the time. With Elizabeth Fraser's haunting vocals and Robin Guthrie's innovative use of guitars, drum machines, and other electronic instrumentation, the Cocteau Twins created a rich, textured sound that endured over a large number of recordings. This double disc serves nicely as a greatest-hits package as well as a lengthy memento of the band's evolution from 1982 through 1996. Including shimmering renditions of old favorites like "Musette and Drums" and "Ivo," as well as a stirring rendition of Billie Holiday's "Strange Fruit," this collection is a must for all Cocteau Twins fans. 5-0 out of 5 stars Truly magnificent
This is an album you should enjoy and enjoy a lot. Incidentally when a BBC sessions album is released by a band it doesn't really mean it's a live album. It's just the band recording the songs at BBC's studios so that it can be broadcasted on radio at a particular time. So for those who were wondering why there were Liz's voice in the background as well as at the forefront should rest at ease - there was a little bit of studio trickery there. I just I should point that out lest someone gets confused

3-0 out of 5 stars Pleasant enough but don't listen to it straight through
I am not a huge Cocteau Twins fan but find their music works well as a background for when I am working.I did not find this CD as interesting as Treasure but it is pleasant enough. (Will probably get some plays while I am ironing my shirts!) Don't listen to both CDs straight through, as it gets pretty samey.

2-0 out of 5 stars I love them, but live Cocteau Twins isn't optimal
I'm as big a fan as they come, but live Cocteau has a problem -- there's just one Elizabeth. On studio albums, as you know, there are numerous vocal tracks, creating a rich, layered sound.I never knew how important this element was until it was gone.Live recordings (including the BBC Sessions) just feel sort of anemic, because only one melody is being sung.Yes, her voice is still beautiful, but it changes the nature of the songs.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars horrible
the fisrt disc is sissy sounding people singing. the only good song is by go betty go. and the other disc is stupid screamo and spazoid stuff. what a waste of money!! :(

5-0 out of 5 stars Insanely Good
This 2 disc compilation of all aspects of alternative is a must-have for anyone that likes it. They managed not only to put ther best bands at the time (2004), on these discs, but they also scrounged up the very best songs. If there was one song that each of these bands would've played at the Grammys, (if the Grammys played alternative, which they don't) these would be it. Again it's all aspects of alternative. You have your general punk "Jersey", and then you have your emo "Lightweight Holiday" "Amber Pacific" and you also have your ska "Big D and the Kids Table" and you have your hardcore punk "From First to Last" and your 90's wave punk "The Casualties". If you love alternative theres nothing to not love about this. I bought this the first day it came to store and i still give it a good work-out in my cd player.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great live album- Found for good price on ebay!!
This is out-of-print & hard-to-find.
3-0 out of 5 stars Come get it
I've toured much of the south with my many cover bands and this album title caught my attention. I asked Burns, do you think someone will beat us up if we go to Alabama? He said that an old wise man in Tecumsuh told him that indian legend has it that if you cross the alabama border for the first time, three men in an old truck are waiting at the border to give you your alabama ass whuppin. Well, I was a little worried because my adam ant one man tribute show was getting ready to hit the state of alabama and I evidentally was going to be challenged. I was ready. I rode my honda spree across the border and sure enough three guys were sitting in an old F-150 waiting for me. They pulled me over and asked if I was ready for my whuppin. I told them no and that I was going to destroy them by myself and sleep with the hottest of their sisters. Sure enough I did three crane kicks and picked the hottest sister to have relations with. My Adam Ant show sold out all over the south and no one from Alabama ever bothered me again. I'm awesome.

4-0 out of 5 stars Decent Sampling of Early DBTs
When I was a teenager and I wanted to get a decent overview of a band I didn't know much about, I would try to pick up a band's live album to see what songs I liked. The songs I liked would then be searched out and the appropriate studio albums purchased by the band thereafter. The unfortunate thing is that over time, I grew to believe that live albums were usually inferior to the songs on the studio counterpart. This is only untrue with the Cheap Trick at Budokan album (albums, if you didn't know there were two at one time) and the first three studio albums those live album tracks are taken from.

Editorial Review

For those late to the Soul Asylum party, which began in 1981 on cozy Minneapolis stages as Loud Fast Rules, the "Best-Live-Band-in-the-Country" badge pinned on them by countless longtime fans from David Letterman to George Wendt may seem like an exaggerated yarn. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good album, great memories
I thought this was a great album as well, mostly because I was there was well.I not only attended the prom the two previous years, but also went to this prom a year after I graduated (I subsequently went to two more proms after that) and this music brings back good memories.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Live CD - Great Cover Choices
This band is a phenomenal live band and this CD features them playing a great set list at the peak of their popularity. While their most memorable hits are here, what really makes this set list great is the cover tunes that they chose to play. The extraordinary Alice Cooper rock anthem 'School's Out' kicks the CD off.'I Can See Clearly Now' is very appropriate given that they were playing a post flood prom.'To Sir With Love' is awesome.'I Know' is really fun to listen to.Even 'Rhinestone Cowboy' is given the royal rock treatment and becomes a sing along favorite.I gotta believe that this track was added for the cheesiness factor, but it's done very well.

5-0 out of 5 stars You had to be there, have to know Japanese audiences
I was at this concert and it was sold out, or nearly so. Certainly I saw no open seats. Audiences in Japan are known for letting the performers perform, they are a listening people overall and it is a sign of their attention to what is being said. Pearl Jam looked to be having a ball and Eddy even tried his hand at speaking Japanese, the only part I missed was the stories told between songs. None here really, unlike the Cardiff CDs I have. The concert started at about 6:30, as is the norm here. I felt it was a terrific show, all was being filmed as well....where are the videos?

3-0 out of 5 stars Don't Be Shy
So what if there's no crowd noise, I didn't notice until I read some other reviews, must have been listening to the music which is really all that matters. The show is a bit flat, the quiet songs are done with little emotion--Small Town, Betterman, although they do get up for some of the heavier songs--Blood, Evolution. I have a bunch of these live shows, which is how PJ should be enjoyed-LIVE-and I got this one for the cover of Cat Stevens' "Don't Be Shy" which is Eddie acoustic and alone.

4-0 out of 5 stars less known legendary live show
Because of the mix of the record, you do not hear the audience much on this album. But, the audience went crazy and the band gave a great peformance. The band continued to play even after Budokan turned the lights back on.This could be as good as MADE IN JAPAN by DEEP PURPLE if it is mixed correctly. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars The Jam's Greatest Album!
I was a casual fan of the Jam until this album came out back in 1982.The studio efforts I had heard up to that point were good but seemed to lack that special spark that would make them great. This album doesn't have a spark, its on fire! The Jam are one of the few bands that sound so much better live, they seem to feed of the audience and let go of any inhibitions or restraints they seem to have in the studio. The three song set from The Hammersmith Palais: Start, Big Bird and Set the House Ablaze build on each other at a fiery tempo you think is impossible to maintain but they do it.Paul Weller's breathless acoustic version of That's Entertainment is the best ever of that great song. This is one of my all time favorite albums and I am so glad it is available again on CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Thanks For A Lot Of Good Memories..For The Fans
Seeing the Jam many times throughout their life in New York it was quite a disappointment when this highly emotional heartfelt band of UK individualists broke up.

Editorial Review

Lou Reed may have been a reluctant icon for the smart, art-fueled post-classic rock upheavals his efforts with the Velvet Underground and early solo albums inspired, but he's gratifyingly become one of the genre's wisest and most beloved godfathers. This two-plus hour live double-disc collection captures the 62-year-old Reed onstage in Los Angeles in 2003 on the heels of his ambitious, if commercially disappointing tribute to Poe, Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Lou's best
A quietly powerful album. Understated, with lots of space. Moments of humor and intimacy. Old songs revisited and deepened. Takes time to listen to in order to reveal its depths. A walk down memory lane with troubled souls who may have spent time in the gutter but always found time to gaze at the stars. Unique.

3-0 out of 5 stars Lou is just in a "try something new" phase
I like this cd. Lou has turned into a great musician without being a virtuoso guitar player. The arrangements are sparce and intriguing. Small Town, How do you think it feels and All Tomorrows Parties are the best songs. Candy Says is different (the singer is really wimpy) but a worthy intrepretation. Dirty Blvd has been toned down but its still good.
1-0 out of 5 stars Painful to listen to
I'll be honest and say I only listened to about 4 tracks off this album, and I found it so awful, it was actually painful for me to listen to it. Lou sounded like he was spontaneously handed a microphone to entertain some buddies so he decided to make words up on the spot and ramble a bit. Not only that, but his voice wasn was weak, dull, and just plain bad. I know he's over 60 years old, but if you can't give a good show, there's no reason to get up on that stage!

4-0 out of 5 stars Brown is good
Every Ween enthusiast should own this, but it is definitely not their best cd (nor their best live cd - buy Stubb's first). However, true fans will not want to miss out on owning the prayer-call intro to ICPMFOI.I saw that preformed live once and it was beautiful! So that song in itself makes it worth buying this cd.

2-0 out of 5 stars For fans...
I remember when I bought this CD... it was during my post-college, pre-employment phase. I woke up at about 3:00pm, swallowed a handful of asprin to stave off a bad hangover, went to pick up the CD, came home, popped it in and sat on my couch with a bowl of fruity pebbles... the full Ween experience! Anyway, I was pretty disappointed. I mean, I had sprung for the CD instead of another fifth of Early Times whiskey!! The first disc is listenable, with some great moments from their awesome '96 tour (best Ween tour ever??), but also some really badly recorded early stuff. There is a great version of "Mountain Dew" though, that will make this disc worthwhile for hardcore Ween fans. The vastly varying sound quality is what ruins my enjoyment of the first disc overall... if it was all lo-fi (a la "The Pod") I could have dealt with it, but going from crisp, pro-engineered multitrack recordings to amature DAT stuff is just annoying. The second disc has the best version of "Poopship Destroyer" and a hell of a lot of noodling that doesn't sound so good when one is sober.... hmm... A few years down the road, and I'm a respectable member of society. I still love Ween, but this is definitely the disc I reach for the least. This is aimed squarely at serious fans, and newcomers or general listeners should definitely start elsewhere... Not bad, but certainly in the "For Fans" category.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you don't know WEEN, you ain't brown...
Lets face it -- if this album is your first exposure to Dean & Gene Ween's music, your response will probably range from mild annoyance to outright cringing. But for us Ween officianados, and especially for thosewho have been fortunate to be blessed with a 4-hour live show or two, thisalbum is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.Early super-sloppyinclusions such as "Mushroom Festival in Hell" and "MountainDew" demonstrates the band's remarkable ability to really rock withoutreally worrying about how they sound (you'll see what I mean). But beforeyou dismiss them as just another over-indulging garage band, check out thehard-as-rock licks by Deaner in "Awesome Sound" or Gener'ssoaring vocals in "Can't Put My Finger On It" or Claude Coleman'sother-worldly drum solo in "Vallejo". Ween rules.God bless theBoognish. ... Read more
