5-0 out of 5 stars The heaviest HuG effort
Hanzel und Gretyl is easily my favorite industrial/metal band. It has been two years since they unleashed "Scheissmessiah" upon the public. "Oktotenfest 2006" isn't a full length HuG cd but rather a tasty sample of what to expect next year when the band puts out a new album. Unfortunately the four track EP is only twelve minutes long. Too short for my personal taste but it sure beats waiting until 2007 to hear new HuG. Track #1 and #4 are more samples than songs themselves. Tracks #2 and #3 are absolutely mindblowing. "Stern Krieg" and "Fukken Uber Death Party" are the heaviest songs that Loopy and Vas Kallas has ever put out. The songs are simply brutally aggressive industrial/metal, almost death metal like especially on "Fukken Uber Death". The two songs are aggressive and melodic similiar to "SS Deathstar Supergalatick" and "Disko Fire Scheissmessiah". Awesome songs to listen to at top volume. I wish "Oktotenfest 2006" was a full length album but beggers can't be choosers. This is an excellent appetizer to whet my Hanzel und Gretyl fix. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A Somewhat Bland Release.
"Every Day Is Exactly The Same," a six-track EP for the release of the third single off "With Teeth," is perhaps one of Trent's least interesting releases. Combining a few new remixes with some you most likely already have, this is the perfect EP to irritate the hardcore Nine Inch Nails collector.
4-0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good remix EP.
It might disappoint "halo collectors" when they get a hold of this, seeing as some remixes previously appeared on other singles. However, this is much cheaper and considering I wasn't big on "With Teeth", I'm surprised how much I enjoyed this.
1-0 out of 5 stars Trent Reznor needs drugs.
Seriously.Somebody force Trent Reznor to get back on cocaine as quickly as possible.Without his source of inspiration, his music will just get worse from here on, and his idea of purchase-worthy releases will continue to confound and anger his fans. He'll wind up like Pink Floyd after Roger Waters left, with only a mere shred of his former musical glory left. For the good of the world, give Trent Reznor drugs right now. ... Editorial Review

Guilty pleasure alert No. 2013: Filter absolutely, positively would not exist without the dirty, gritty musical formulas laid before him by Nine Inch Nails' Trent Reznor. The on-the-edge screams, the heavy industrial rhythms, the full-frontal guitar sounds--it's all been done before. And if that weren't enough, vocalist-guitarist-rhythmatist Richard Patrick lived a pre-Filter life as a touring band member in an early version of the aforementioned Nails. Indeed, Read more

    4-0 out of 5 stars Not Filter's best but it's a start.
Now to start off Filter is a really good band. I enjoy a lot of the music they put out. I just don't think this album is their best one. It does however have one of my most favorite songs they have ever done on it, "Hey Man Nice Shot". This isn't a bad cd but it isn't great either. What it comes down to is it has a bit of sameness about all the tracks. Not to say the tracks are bad they just don't grab your attention as much as the opener song did. My favorite tracks from the cd though would have to be "Hey Man Nice Shot", "Dose", "Under", and "Consider This". Here are my ratings for everything...
5-0 out of 5 stars Filter's gritty roots on full blast
This debut album from the musically explorative group Filter produced, among other things, the band's most successful and hardest hitting single to date. Many years after its release, the song "Hey Man Nice Shot" is still heard in light doses on the radio. However, to measure this album in proportion to its one big hit is to apathetically forsake the ten other tracks of cynical flare that can be heard when riding the Short Bus all the way to the end of its route."Dose", the less successful follow-up to the album's initial single, keeps the Short Bus horn blaring with venomous lyrics and crunching distortion. It paves the way for a rocky slide into the next three tracks of equally explosive power and confrontation.Soon after, the album temporarily saps its aggression for the reflective and almost acoustic "Stuck in Here", and then promptly picks back up its hatchet for the bitter second half of the disc.During the next few songs, the album's lyrics seem to grow progressively more bleak at each stop.Highlights in this territory include the analytical "Gerbil", the defensive "White Like That", and the emotionally gripping "So Cool", which closes the album on a beautifully nihilistic note.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best.
Yeah, this is my favorite record, not just from Filter, but favorite amoungst all.It has truly stood the test of time with me as well.I've listened to it since middleschool and its still amazing.Sincerly inspirational. ... Read more

    5-0 out of 5 stars KICK A$$!!
Not many bands can bridge the gap between rock and electronic. And even fewer seem able to bridge the gap between rock and industrial. The two have faced off at each other for years. There are obvious comparisons to Nine Inch Nails. But Kidney Theives are not trying to be NIN.They have their own difinitive sound,Female vocals, and, in my opinion, a sharper, clearer image of whatever they are focused on.They paint a clearer picture of what they are singing about.I am shocked that this band is not getting more attention.

5-0 out of 5 stars These jerks need to release another album.
With all the noise pollution going on these days its nice to pop Zerospace in the old CD payer now and again just to remember how good music can be.Buy this now.No seriously, buy it.It's like NIN without the irritation factor.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great stuff - Not just gothy metal crap like Otep, etc.
Unlike a lot of modern music, the vocals on this aren't that terrible screaming/growling metal nonsense. This CD is the best elements of NIN, and Garbage (before they sucked) combined. As much as I like both these bands, I really think the kidney thieves excel both.If this CD was released in the mid-late 90s, it would have went platinum. Now, everyone listens to screamo, emo and Disney "actresses." ... 5-0 out of 5 stars They should be huge.
As a music collector, i'm always pissed off when I hear some one who doesn't really listen to much music or look for new stuff complain "that they don't make good music anymore" or that "there's nothing interesting", or something along those lines. If your musical exposure is along the lines of whatever the radio or MTV,etc play i'm sure your view of music is that it is incredblely boring. However acts like the Birthday Massacre are direct evidence against the idea that music is going stale.I must admit I often do wonder myself why we can't have more interesting, young, creative, and very driven acts like this out today.
5-0 out of 5 stars Something Different
I really like artists that aren't worried about which category their CD will be placed under at the record store. My only disappointment is that there isn't more music like this.It is difficult to describe but the best I can do is female vocals, a bit of retro 80's synths, crossed with some industrial.

5-0 out of 5 stars Love at first listen.
First of all, a little history of how I discovered this group. My main musical background for the past couple of years has been mostly made up of hardcore/metalcore, bands such as As I Lay Dying, Hopesfall, The Bled, Norma Jean, etc and the whole warped tour scene, such as From Autumn To Ashes, My Chemical Romance and the likes.Anyone who listens to this genre knows that it has become completely saturated.I have discovered some fairly new bands that have impressed me however, such as Bleed The Sky, and Versus The Mirror, but for the most part, my favorites are the ones of old who seem to have left their legacy behind (such as Poison The Well). So, being one who always likes to discover new and great music, I began to try and think of other musical genres that I might like. One day, while I was listening to an old favorite of mine, Type O Negative's October Rust, I decided that I would like to look into more music that was similar to it, since no other cd I owned was comparable.Of course, I came on Amazon and began using the listmanias and so you'd like to.. lists which I find really handy in situations like this.Suddenly a whole new world of music was opened to me.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great example of creative remixing.
Trent Reznor through Nine Inch Nails has developed a steady habit of remixing large volumes of his work and releasing countless Halos dedicated solely to these remixes. While this is certainly a boon for hungry collectors, fans interested in the music alone are often disappointed by the paltry turnout of a lot of these remix discs. Fortunately, Closer to God is a huge exception to the rule, displaying a powerful mastery of creative and thoughtful mixing practices.
5-0 out of 5 stars Ya gotta love the song, or else you'll hate this CD
I loved this CD, it has several different versions of "closer", often long ones.I love the different mixes and I rarely get bored by the variety of styles. There are a few other songs included.Sometimes the style of the other songs just does not match what mood the album is putting me in, and I get jarred out of my trance enough to go over and flip to the next song.

Hey, this is as good as the Nineties get. Right here. The idea thatthis EP is about Trent's backlash against the TVT label is irrelevant and probably falsified for trivia fodder. Who cares anyway, right? This is all about freeing the music demons. Trent did everything right and is still really the only one he did total justice on.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE NINE INCH NAILS CD NEXT TO FRAGILE. THIS CD REALLY HELPED ME THROUGH MY DEPRESSED JOCK INVADED HELL I WENT THROUGH! IF IT WASNT FOR THIS CD AND SOME OF MANSON'S I WOULDNT BE WRITING THIS REVIEW. I SAW NIN A FEW MONTHES AGO AND THEY STILL GOT IT! TRENT SHOULDNT BE BALD OR A BODY BUILDER..ITS PRETTY GAY. OH WELL, A CLASSIC EP WORTH BUYING INSTANTLEY. ANY METAL FAN OR HUMANS WITH MINDS WILL TRULEY RESPECT THIS CD.
5-0 out of 5 stars One of the greatest CDS ever..
Wow.Thats all I can really say about this CD.My first exposure to NIN came when my friend gave me this cd and further down the spiral. At the time, I was really into punk rock, so i wansnt that interested, but i started to listen to it anyways. From start to finish (well, with a little break in between) this CD is just amazing. The hook to Wish is one of the catchiest things ive EVER heard, but it doesnt compromise how heavy the song is.When I think of NIN, I think of this CD...I know it focuses less on the industrial element of the music, the songs are just so wonderfully crafted.I love the fast drum machines in Wish and Gave Up, and how Last comes in thrashing right after the super chaotic Wish ending.Happiness in Slavery is my least favorite of the first 6 tracks (I love the interludes, the songs dont sound right without them), but it is still head and shoulders above the majority of songs I have heard. Its very interesting how to make a song heavy without the guitar being the main focus...one of the reasons I love industrial so much. The 2 secret songs are alright...The cover of Adam Ant's (Youre So) Physical is a song i skip every time, its just...boring.Suck is a great song though, although I probably prefer the live version on halo 17.Trent has really gone downhill nowadays, I heard with teeth was going to be hard like broken, man i was dissapointed...I actually sold my With Teeth. All music should sound like this. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Semantic Spaces an above-average CD
This CD is pretty good. It is definitely above average. I was not disappointed. For $13.98 it is an excellent value. However, the $2.98 for shipping was a little too high and it destroyed the original value that came with paying $13.98 for a CD. I would have liked to pay $2.00 or less for shipping. Other than that, the music is above average. I would have given my purchase 5 stars instead of 4 if it had not been for the expensive shipping costs.

5-0 out of 5 stars Aural bliss
This is a sine qua non for anyone's music collection. On comparisons to Enigma, I'd say Enigma are definitely the epigone in the standings.Newer Delerium is not as good since Rhys moved to a more commercial production style but this is splendid -their best release combining the sonic architecture of previous albums with the pleasant sensibilities of the newer albums.Semantic Spaces is one of the best produced sonic experiences I've found. It provides a complete healing journey into the multiverse and definitely tops Posford and others for psychedelic soundspaces. With a collection over 5000 CDs strong, this album easily makes it to a desert island 10-pack.

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome Industrial Metal
I really can't say that I'm a big fan of industrial metal, but I can say that Rammstein isn't a band to pass up. Having heard Sehnsucht before this, I was a little sceptical. Sehnsucht was a okay album but it really didn't impress me much. This on the other hand did. From the first track to the last, I was in awe. It basically blew their next album (Sehnsucht) out of the water. I love the mix of some techno, industrial, and metal. Every song sounds different from thefirst to the last, which is somewhat a rarity for me. I also love the lead vocalist's singing. It's very operatic. Every song is good, though I have to say Seamann is the best. I had never heard of a industrial ballet before this and thought it sounded ridiculas when my friend told me about it. Then I listened to it. I can describe it in one word: beautiful. This is just an awesome cd.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of Rammstein's Heaviest Albums...
This is Rammstein's very first album ever released. I would consider it one of their best releases. The keyboard is much more dominant on this album than laters ones, and the guitar riffs are much harder as well. I would recommend this album for people who like Heavy Metal, Electronic, or Industrial Rock.
5-0 out of 5 stars Wollt ihr Rammstein in Flammen sehen?
First off my cd cover is different, it only shows their heads and the rest is all white. I think that cover looks better but either way it's the same cd whichever cover you get. This is their first cd and it's the most raw and fast paced album that they've made. Wollt ihr.. is their best riff ever but the song goes on about a minute too long. Asche zu Asche has a great fast paced riff but it's not as heavy as I'd like but it still rocks. Seemann is a ballad that slows down the album but it does have some cool heavy sounding guitars throw in it here and their. Things pick up again with Du riechst ... which is another fast paced fast song with a great riff and beat. Herzeleid is slower but still heavy and the singer does the lyrics a word or 2 at a time and it has a nice keyboard solo. Heirate mich has a mediocre riff but it still works very well. Das Alte Leid is the strangest song here, it doesn't sound like the rest of the songs but it's still good. Rammstein is also slow but heavy and it took me a while to like it but I do. The other songs I didn't mention are also faced paced and good. This cd also has their best guitar solo's, they have a nice warpy feel to them Yes the lyrics are in German, which give it a great sound plus the singer doesn't sound that good singing in English. So if you're a fan or like fast paced music then you should buy this cd. ... Read more

This CD is awesome, by far Stabbing Westward's best CD.I'm very happy to have it back in my collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars If you own ANY stabbing westward CD, make it DARKEST DAYS!
This album is damn near perfect, and as I type that I might as well take out the 'damn near' part and leave it as just plain perfect, because quite frankly, it is!From start to finish this album is what you want to hear. From the creepy into in the effect of "DARKEST DAYS" to the moving and ultimatly depressing "WAKING UP BESIDE YOU", a beautiful song about loss and dispair, you are drawn inside this album of the darkest nature, an album that explores subjects like death and adiction with such care and presision that you can't help but appreciate the talent behind every riff, behind every lyric and behind every single track.Standouts are the singles "SAVE YOURSELF" and "HAUNTING ME" as well as the steller "SOMETIMES IT HURTS", a song so truthful (as far as conveying the feelings after loseing a loved one in death) that I was actually braught to tears after hear it."EVERYTHING I TOUCH" was actually the first song I ever heard by this band, and I was immediatly convinced that this was a CD to own."THE THING I HATE" is one of the most in your face angry songs ever and it delivers the adrenaline rush that metal lovers need while listening to this album which overall gives you more of a downer feeling (it's mood music people) so it's nice to have a MOSH-PIT perfect song."HOW CAN I HOLD ON" and "WHEN I'M DEAD" are standouts and worth a listen, but then again, so is this ENTIRE ALBUM SO BUY IT NOW!

5-0 out of 5 stars "Like blinding pouring light..."
Wolf Eyes, yet again, have made one of the most drug-induced seizures of a album ever recorded with their 2nd album for Sub Pop, Human Animal. With the addition of Mike Connelly of Hair Police, the band has increased the sonic torture and hellish noise of their previous work and turned it up 10 notches. Screeching high frequencies, echoed syntheziser, screamed buried vocals, and avant-garde saxaphone...the norm for these guys.

Since their last album for Sub Pop, Wolf Eyes have released something like a dozen albums (!), and that's not counting their collaboration with avant-jazz pioneer Anthony Braxton.Of course, these things were released on either tiny micro-labels or plain old CD-Rs, and finding them might be difficult even on the web.Of course, many of us weren't really looking anyway. In any event, the Wolf-men are back (semi) overground with album number two for Sub Pop.Call it an "official" release if you must, but the main question casual fans might ask is how the band has progressed in the last two years and dozen obscure releases. The answer to that is "not much" or "are you kidding?"The new album basically treads the same stylistic ground, which is basically noise, and lots of it.Usually this involves synths and other digital equipment being abused so thoroughly it sounds more effed-up than the contents of Mel Gibson's skull after a weeklong booze binge.Of course, rather than ranting about Jews killing Jesus or Buddha or Elvis, Wolf Eyes are more interested in things like "Rationed Rot" or "Lake of Roaches" (actual song titles!).The few tracks that have any vocals at all are unintelligable, said vocalist sounding like Skinny Puppy's Ogre being given a tonsilectomy with a blowtorch.Actually, about half the album doesn't even bother with any type of rhythm, instead oozing and flowing like a river of New Jersey toxic sludge being funneled through your ear canals.Still, you want progression?Okay, a couple of tracks feature some wounded elephant saxophone.Think that'll win 'em a Grammy? ... The Mortal Kombat soundtrack is made up of a compilation of hasbeen and could have been Industrial, electronic, and metal bands from back in the day. These songs also bring back memories of the brilliant movie directed by auteur Paul WS Anderson.

      Editorial Review

A genre-bending sonic onslaught, this disc is not for the faint-hearted. Static-X skillfully blend angry staccato guitar, dark metallic noise, and mutating synthesizer washes to construct an ominous (though occasionally humorous) wall of sound. Lead vocalist Wayne Static's high-energy delivery alternates from whisper to roar on tracks such as "Bled for Days" and "I Am," and he often uses his voice as a potent rhythmic sound effect, as on "Push It" and "Sweat of the Bud." Tony Campos's distorted bass riffs and drummer Ken Jay's confident beats add a human feel to the mechanical rhythms, adroitly creating the tight grooves of "Otsegolation" and "Fix," as well as the rigid swing in "Stem." Wayne Static and Koichi Fukuda skillfully combine guitars and keyboards on "The Trance Is the Motion" to produce crashing waves of sound, while their programming on "December" results in a more subdued piece to close the album. This is one of the best CD's I own. It never gets old no matter how many times I listen to it.I am not that big of a fan of hard music but Wayne is incomparable and their music just kicks ass.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Brutal Masterpiece
Wayne Static has more in his arsonal than really really bad hair...he has an insane scream coupled with one kick @$$ band that knows what they're doing and knows how to do it.With their debut, Wayne, Koichi, Tony and Ken serve up some of the most brutal offerings the industrial metal crowd has to offer. With the opening "PUSH IT" blasting onto radios across the land we were all given a taste of the phenom. that is Static-X..."I'M WITH STUPID" continued the brutal bliss with chanting chorus lines of "he's a loser" coupled with barking doors and some old woman talking about a shovel, but it's "BLED FOR DAYS" that is the best, heaviest and most amazing piece of brutality that this band has ever served up.The remainder of the CD is great, sporting killer songs like "LOVE DUMP" with crazy lines about someones @$$ smelling like a rose, and "FIX" which is just so freaking awsome. There are some low slumps like "OSTEGOLATION" but songs like "I AM" and the bone crushing title track "WISCONSIN DEATH TRIP" make up for it.This is the best CD this band has done, and even though their following CD's were not terrible they will never reach the bar they've set so high for themselves. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars definitely worth buying!
I have never been a heavy listener of industrial/gothic/electronica until I found Collide. "Crushed" was the first song I ever listened to and after that I was hooked. Despite other reviews that I have read about being repetetive or lacking in meaningful lyrics, I believe every song on Some Kind of Strange is unique and takes you on a trip you'll never want to come back from. I love every song, though I do have my favorites which include Crushed, Euphoria, Inside, Tempted, and Complicated. But I promise you, every song is worth a listen!
2-0 out of 5 stars Lacks depth
I'm a big fan of Collide's "Chasing the Ghost" album... I hear those songs in my dreams even, magical stuff.Based upon the other reviews I bought this album hoping to be similarly entranced.I was very disappointed. The songs lack the range and depth and passion of "Chasing the Ghost", perhaps the mixing could have been better, but they just don't grab me.I'm afraid that Collide may count as one of the many one-album-wonders of the music world.

1-0 out of 5 stars what a waste of money!
It's good to support the underground alternative bands and I bought this album based on many ads I saw in alternative music magazines. I have to say that a "sensual" voice is not enough to make great music. The singer tries to much to sound sensual sometimes its almost ridiculous but anyway, the big problem with this album are the compositions. There is no melody, all the album sounds very monotony, just a voice with no direction around very basic sounding guitars and drums. Overall there is a total lack of musicality. I wouldn't even use the album as background music, the music is very predictable, boring, unremarkable. What a waste really. It's funny, even in the underground scene a band can be over advertised. Caveat emptor. ... Read more

This was the record that definitively turned Ministry from an electro-industrial dance band into a cutting-edge metal act. With distorted vocals, pounding drum machines, and ripping guitar chords, songs like "Thieves" and "Burning Inside" merged computer technology with metallic riffology, setting the pace for dozens of second-rate computer nerds to follow. 5-0 out of 5 stars great album
This is one of the best albums from Ministry. Along with of course Psalm 69, and Houses of The Mole. For those of you wondering, I think that beautiful singing heard in the background of "Dream Song" is Bulgarian choir singing. That's probably my favorite track too. I agree with the reviewer who said it's mesmerizing. An incredible mix of electronics and Bulgarian choirs. My other favorite tracks are Burning Inside, the strange Cannibal Song, and So What. Pick up this album if you're a Ministry fan! Laters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Classic
If you were not around when this first came out, you will never understand the intensity that it signified. There were hard groups, but nothing that sounded like this cd did. After The Land of Rape and Honey, which was just as great, there was something missing in the whole "industrial" scene. This filled the gap, and lost the "disco" edge and lameness that had become of the scene before and after this release. Pure class, get it no matter what.

4-0 out of 5 stars Terrible to taste, good to hear.
There are some album covers you can look at, and just know the music within is going to be hard and heavy. This is obviously one of those albums. Some may argue, but I believe more than other bands, and even more than Ministry's prior album, this is when industrial and metal came perfectly together. Sure there's a few repetitive low-points, but the majority of this album is like a punch to the face. The opener "Thieves" with it's power-drill sample sets the tone, and "Burning Inside" and "Never Believe" take it from there. The next powerhouse is "Breathe", which leads to the climax of the album "So What", which includes the choice lyrics "I only kill, to know I'm alive". These tracks aren't simply heavy, they're also well written, and basically catchy. "Test" even makes rap sound good. I recommend a proper stereo for this. ... Read more

I really liked this album, while some of the songs are remixed more than once they're still able to keep a semblance of uniqueness. Then there are the little gems added to the mix "The Lunatics Have Taken Over The Asylum" and "Feed Me to the Lions" are really fun songs that quickly moved their way into my top 10 lists.
5-0 out of 5 stars What an awesome find!
You will all think I'm crazy, but I was looking for new music one day at work, came across Collide because it was "similar" to other music I like, and bought it without even hearing it! I wasn't somewhere that I could listen to the samples, so I trusted other user reviews, and couldn't be more pleased. This CD has become a staple in my collection, and frankly, hasn't left my CD changer yet! My boyfriend even added it to his iPod. My personal favorite is "The Lunatics...", don't ask me why. I always play it on my way to the gym...and sometimes before work...perhaps it's something Freudian. :)
5-0 out of 5 stars remixed to perfection
before picking up this two-disc package, i was not familiar with the works of Collide. i bought this item on a whim, and am very glad i did. the variety of style approach is refreshing, you really don't hear the same song twice, though there are a few mixes of a few songs. these are good cds to put in on a trip or chill at the house, and i've had the album for a few weeks now and am not tired of it. enjoy the haunting effects of a great band rearranged by great artistic minds. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars i've tried them, but this is just misserable music.
Ive listened to tracks from various albums and don't see why people like them. I mean, the vocalist always sounds like he's singing with a cold and I can't see anything spectacular with the instruments.
1-0 out of 5 stars Gothic Love Garbage
I reaaallly hate H.I.M. I don't mind if other people listen to them, but I will warn buyers now: the songs are just songs about girls that have to do with death. I guess the band has a lot of dead girlfriends. I don't know. And the music? White noise. I HATED this album, and I hate all other H.I.M. albums. This album should be retitled "Gothic Love Garbage".

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool song
This song is pretty catchy, but the remixes are pretty bad, the only change in the Love is not enough, is that there is live drums. Instead of buying this, buy the whole cd, unless you're an extreme NIN collector

5-0 out of 5 stars there is no you there is ONLY me
I rather enjoy the new and improved sounds of Nine Inch Nails. This is the catchiest Nails song since....The Hand that Feeds. The beat is hard to erase.the words are easy to remember, the song is greatly admired. The use of in-studio real drums rather than the industrial drum machine beats as days of old. more calmer Nails than pre-Fragile material, a change indeed but nonetheless, masterpiece. The video is very interesting, in an office like setting, very non-ninesque. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars MUSICAL PHENOMONA
This is probably among the most best band of today, or at LEAST lyrically, they are miles ahead of many musicians today, Standing is extremely emotive, beautiful, the lyrics are great throughout this whole CD, heck all the melody on this cd, along with his voice, is all outstanding, it's sad that this cd or Futureperfect isn't on the Rolling Stones 500 greatest cd's of all time, especailly considering some of the cd's they have on it that don't even compare with VNV

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome.
At some point in 2005, someone recommended that I give VNV Nation a listen and suggested that I find "Matter + Form" first. I agreed and was satisfactorily impressed, but I had the nagging feeling that there was something more to this group than what that album had let onto. I dug a little deeper and discovered "Empires," and rather than being mildly content with my find, I was blown away. "Empires" was everything I had wanted from an electronic music album but had previously been unable to find.
