4-0 out of 5 stars SDRE Live CD
This cd is great. I never heard of SDRE before I heard it from a friend THIS album from a friend and it sounded pretty good. Picked up a copy, and it's amazing.

4-0 out of 5 stars 4.5 stars.A great live experience.
This is a much better cd than many people realize. I'm not sure what problems some people have with it-I realize the mix is good in some areas and a bit 'off' in others-but it still sounds great and I think many of these songs find their definitive versions on this disc. This is the first cd by SDRE I heard and I've since purchased all their other albums. The "Pink" lp is my favorite but this cd and "Diary" are close behind. Should not be missed. Worth the price of admission just for "Song About an Angel" and "Guitars & Video Games", both of which are better than the album versions.5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING CD IF YOU'RE A DIEHARD SDRE FAN!
I had first heard that they even had a LIVE SDRE cd on a college radio station. I had called to request "IN CIRCLES" & they only had the live version. Immediately after hearing it on the radio; I went to Amazon.com to find it & purchased it. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Live album
The Supersuckers are the greatest rock band to ever do country music.I accidently found out about the Supersuckers through the Free the West Memphis 3 site about 2 years ago. They are by far the best rock band I have heard in a very long time.5-0 out of 5 stars Must've Been the Tractor Tavern
My buddies and I were lucky enough to check these guys out playing a country set at the Tractor Tavern, just down from where they live in Seattle. One of the best shows I've ever seen. These guys love what they do and it shows everytime they play.I heard an advance copy of this album out at the Lucky 13 in SF, and I gotta say, I got just as excited (and drunk) and I did when I saw them live. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Too drunk to even consider recording a live album
Although entertaining, this CD features a J. Thunders who is simply too drunk to play.He doesn't even play guitar here (although he makes many references to giving it a try), the vocals are terribly slurred (more than usual), and the set isn't really that good. This CD is great for noveltypurposes if you are a true fan, but it should not be your first J. ThundersCD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Live cd ever!
The music on this cd is amazing. Alot of the songs are alot faster, which i think makes them better. and u can't listen to this cd without cracking up, it's hilarious. I recommend this cd to everyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars Go to a Vandals Show!
Favorites: Mohawk Town, Urban Cowboy, LadyKiller, Anarchy Burger...all of them.Their albums are great, but they are best appreciated at a live show. Not for kids at all, these guys swear horribly and act like sex is a dinner topic. They do this (play in a band) because they love it and, well, I'm sure it gets them girls.Joe is (or used to be) and entertainment lawyer, Dave runs a drink distributorship, Wayne runs Kung-Fu records and Josh, well, Josh plays with just about anyone he wants, ever heard of A Perfect Circle?

4-0 out of 5 stars She's Dead...
If you're looking of the original riot grrl head straight for this compilation and The Eyes. Screaming "She's Dead" and thumping her bass (clad in a baby doll, torn fishnets and stilleto's) while singingabout Quaaludes is Charlotte Caffey of Go-Go's fame. Caffey and her bandThe Eyes (drummer DJ Bonebrake left the band after this show to join X andCaffey departed for the Go-Go's) had incredible fun with punk. 5-0 out of 5 stars amazing, loud, and inspiring
This cd is simply amazing. The songs on this disc have so much more energy than their "warning" studio album. the songs here are filled with so much emotion form billie joe's lyrics that you can tell what he sings he really means. the crowd in this cd just adds to the amazing and unique sound green day gives in this disc. the music is all about inspirationothing less and that harmonica part in "minority" is simply brilliant, not to mention it would be quite hard not to sing along to all the songs in this album. a must for any green day fan and well worth the price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great CD!!!
This is a great CD!!!The songs are great picks to make into a live CD.The crowd is also screaming and chanting throughout the entire CD, which gives it more energy.Church On Sunday is awsome live, a must hear for any fan.Castawy is one of the best on the CD, evnen though he stops in the middle to get the crowd chanting.Blood, Sex, and Booze is very good.King For a Day is funny and it has an awsome beat to it.Waiting is also one of the greatest "new" Green Day song, and I was happy to see they put in on a live CD because it sounds s lot better live.Minoriy is also good, but they stop in the middle to get the crowd chanting.Macy's Day Parade is THE best song on this entire CD.It has a different soound to it, but a better one, and it's an aswsome CD finisher.I highly recomend this D to anyone, even if you're not sure if you like Green Day.Also, another great CD to buy is Foot in Mouth, by Green Day.It has their earlier songs on it, and both of these CDs are Live, which makes it 100 times better.

5-0 out of 5 stars What did you expect?
It's Green Day in Japan, playing some of their more recent hits.Of course it's great. It's Green Day. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool Live Album
This album is cool. It's a little short, but has some really cool songs from Less Than Jake's early releases, Losing Streak, Pezcore, and Goodbye Blue and White. It's really not a must have, so you have to make the call on whether you want to add it to your collection. I would recommend buying "The People's History of Less Than Jake." It's a DVD with most of those songs on it and it's cooler because you can watch it too.

5-0 out of 5 stars a great live album!
Less Than Jake - Live From Uranus was recorded live in New York in 1997.It has now been put onto CD and is really good.It has great songs on it such as Liquor Store, Automatic, Just Like Frank and Time And A Half On 2nd Avenue And 6th Street.Don't let the price put you off because it's definitely worth it.A must buy for all LTJ CD collectors!

Editorial Review

Sticking to the well-flogged anthems, the lads rumble with pro efficiency and a broad wink ("fat, 40, and back," mutters a scripted Johnny) through a near-complete set list. They run low on gas halfway through these 54 minutes, but there's no denying the nostalgic kick for fans of a certain age (whose emotions will swing between glee and revulsion). Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars hello A Kid's Review
if it wasnt for bands like the sex pistols, green day wouldnt even exist...wanna know why? BECAUSE PUNK WOULNDT EXIST JACKASS!! You should be kissing Johnny Rottens ass if you love Green Day that much, either him, or Milo of the Descendents...Green Day are more of a Descendents rip-off than Sex Pistols, but with-out the sex pistols, neither would exist. Be respectful to bands like these if you like the genere.

5-0 out of 5 stars A little over priced?
While this is an EXCELLENT album, and the MOVIE is super rare, I don't believe the record to be worth so much!I just recently bought my copy at Wax N Facts in Atlanta for less than ten dollars, and I've been seeing it on Ebay for five bucks.$90 is just a little much... however, if you don't agree and want to buy it for $50 bucks, just contact me.

4-0 out of 5 stars The Dickies-'Still Got Live,Even If You Don't Want It'(Roir)
I remember years ago that 'Still Got...' was only available on cassette.Thank goodness for CD reissues, wouldn't you say?I mean cassettes break or jam all too often anyway.Total of 25 songs played in one hour's time.Any Dickies fan should be much delighted with this disc as the guys tend to show off their all American brand of high-energy straight ahead punk.Plenty of covers as well.Covers that you might not expect a punk band to play, like Sabbath's "Paranoid",Paul Simon's "The Sound Of Silence",Moody Blue's "Nights In White Satin",the Monkee's "She" and Barry McGuire's "Eve Of Destruction".Oh and they even close out the set with the Banana Split's theme. Now,that's what I call original.Just an all around fun CD to listen to.Should appeal to fans of The Damned,Buzzcocks,Generation X and the Dead Milkmen.

5-0 out of 5 stars We aren't the World...
I just heard from the Dickies on this very subject. This is a CD re-release of the cassette "We Aren't the World" that was released on ROIR.The performance is excellent, although the sound quality lacks sometimes.I had the cassette of this release in about 1988 or 89 and it has long been out of print.3-0 out of 5 stars Lifted from a cassette?
I bought "Dawn of the Dickies" in about 1984 and was immediately mesmerized. How could any band beat the withering, flipped-out guitar solo in "Nights in White Satin", or the playful lyrics in "Stuckin a Pagoda (with Tricia Toyota)"?Sad to say, "Dawn" hasnever been released on CD and I'm stuck with my old LP version (and here Iam, caught between turntables! ).When I found that amazon.com had thisCD available I jumped at the chance to purchase it and I have to say, I wasdisappointed. The song selection was great, but the CD was "digitallycloned", as it says on the back cover, from a 1986 cassette!Come on! Several songs drop out countless times in the middle and most of the CD ismuddled and unprofessional. This one is only for hardcore collectors ofDickies material.....uh, like me.Maybe we can get amazon.com to exertsome pressure on the record label or the band to re-release "Dawn ofthe Dickies, undoubtedly the finest moment in L.A. punkrecording.......Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Pungent Vagrant
The Get Up Kids have been writing sincere, honest music for over 10 years now; a decade in music usually warrants a collection of an artists/band's best 'best' tracks to date in the form of either a Singles Collection, Greatest Hits or, more riskily, a Live Album. As anyone who has been to a Live Get Up Kids show will testify, the band are a lively bunch with a fair share of banter in their shows and - as is to be expected from a decade in music - a killer choice of songs to choose from. The tracklisting of 'Live @ The Granada Theater' reads as testament to that decade, including tracks from all 4 full-lengths and 'Mass Pike' and 'Woodson' from the 'Red Letter Day' and 'Woodson' EPs respectively.
5-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely an AWESOME performance!!
I've been an avid Get Up Kids fan since they started 10 years ago.Somehow I have never seen them perform live tho (though i will be seeing them live tonight at the Fillmore in SF!).This cd is simply amazing!A lot of bands that sound good in studio dont measure up when put in the live spotlight. Its nice to see the Get Up Kids have no problems performing live and in fact do it incredibly well.An awesome recording from an awesome band!

3-0 out of 5 stars Say Goddnight , means goodbye!
I've seen TGUK a few times & this album doesn't do their live gigs justice but it is a fine swan song for a great (& greatly underappreciatted !) band. The banter between the "kids" was always a fun part of their shows & none of it makes the disc,

4-0 out of 5 stars Essential REAL punk rock!
While the Dils' handful of studio recordings are great, I've always felt that their best songs unfortunately never made it on to wax. These bootleg-quality live tracks of "New Kicks", "Before The Law", "National Guard" etc. only remind me of what a crime it was that they never got around to recording a long player, or at least more singles. The Clash influence is pretty obvious, but you also hear the Everly Brothers, Roy Orbison, and 60's pop (among other things) in the Dils' sound. As musicians and songwriters, they were head-and-shoulders above most of their peers.

5-0 out of 5 stars great stuff
What a great group! Saw them perform in Monterey in 78 (me and about 40 others). Did they ever look cool in just denim jackets and jeans. Also played a Hendrix cover as an encore...can't remember what though. Anyway, this is a good collection of songs from a band that should have been bigger, and probably would have been had they stuck to it a few more years (and lost the hammer-and-sickle tee shirts).

4-0 out of 5 stars Kinmania began here...
Yeah, this is a great CD, it gives you that kinetic live feeling they had (even tho I was too young to see 'em in the flesh at the time), altho from Chip I'd gotten on tape even RADDER live versions of Citizen, National Guard, Wreck, and New Kicks (the makers of this CD should've asked him for 'em!! that's why only 4 stars).....it's great that these songs are included on this CD tho.And Blow Up, (included on the Rat Music for Rat People lp back in the day), is very fine. They do a cool cover of the Velvet's What Goes On, and the great acoustic version of Sound of the Rain is a foreshadowing of their version on the 2nd Rank and File album (yum!)...good deal. ... Editorial Review

Free jazz, punk rock, and bad beat poetry meet in the fractured, adventurous music of Saccharine Trust. Guitarist Joe Baiza (later with October Faction and Universal Congress Of) was perhaps the most daring axeman of the SST crew--blending Greg Ginn's churn, John McLaughlin's passion, Blood Ulmer's funk, and Jimi Hendrix's volume. He found a willing partner in atonal vocalist Jack Brewer, who spewed his freeform ramblings with similar attitude and invention--if not similar success. This difficult dose finds them improvising through an album's worth of live rants accompanied by the sinewy bass of Minutemen/fIREHOSE kingpin Mike Watt. The uninitiated might start with something half a degree tamer, like Read more
