4-0 out of 5 stars Good chill music
A little slow at times even for what it is, but excellent chill music. It can be picked apart musically, or it can flow through you in the background as you go about your day.The trumpet adds a unique element to the sound.Highlights include "The Summer Ends," "For Sure," "Stay Home," and "The One With the Wurlitzer," although the entire album should be listened to in its entirety!

4-0 out of 5 stars Wrote the book, threw it away, all before the genre became musically irrelevant
Masterful songs flow throughout this beautiful, emotional(but-don't-call-it-emo!)disc, scaling the heights of Kinsella and co's excellent, under-rated and influential discography at the crossroads between his hypnotic and mathematical best. There are moments when the compelling structures falter a bit under their ambitions, but by far, to me, it is the wonderful synthesis of everything his earlier bands did in the way of tight percussion and everything his later work did for melodic depth in repetition in one very heartfelt and convincing package, from one musical loving band to one musical loving ear- not to be missed for fans of the emotionally intricate.

5-0 out of 5 stars amazing album but...
they are not emo. i'd say they were post-emo indie/math rock with a bit of a jazzy twang. whatever. just buy it and see for yourself. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Album Ever
No joke... seems extreme. But this is the best album from beginning to end I have ever listened to. Its orchestrated in a way that feels incomplete if you don't listen to the whole cd. I started listening to it religiously in 1999, it's 7 years later and it still is the album that recieves the most play in my playlist. Clarity is unparalleld rock and roll.

5-0 out of 5 stars A J.E.W. masterpiece even Hitler would have loved.
While I am a fan of every Jimmy Eat World album, Clarity is easily the most meaningful and sonically beautiful experience they have ever laid to tape. Originally released in 1999, J.E.W.'s Clarity helped lay the groundwork for many of the bands I enjoy today (for instance, just listen to "Your New Aesthetic" and tell me that Brand New's Jesse Lacey didn't have this album lying around while writing Deja Entendu). In my opinion, Clarity is one of the most underappreciated albums to be released within the last ten years as every aspect of this recording is near flawless. From the gorgeous vocal harmonies and melodies to the layered string sections, this album just exudes brilliance. Much time was spent in the studio perfecting every track and it shows as each song is an epic ride, taking the listener through various moods and emotions that are at times soothing and energetic.
5-0 out of 5 stars Its beautiful
I'm not going to explain the songs here. I'm not going to list the high points and low points of the album (as if there were such a thing). I'm simply going to say - I've had this album for a long time now, and when I first got it I was obsessed and worshipped every speaker it played from. I listened to it tonight for the first time in a while, and all I could do was cry.

i heard buried alive by senses fail and thought it was amazing so I thought maybe the rest of the CD would be too, but helll no. I was really wrong. This is garbage. I couldn't stand listening to this CD. I will never buy a senses fail CD again. Plus i saw them at bamboozle and they sucked!

4-0 out of 5 stars A straight-up review for anyone curious about Senses Fail....
You know, I was scrolling through the reviews of a few bands and I came across the Let Enfold You reviews page. I got to the point where I was like, "No one's gonna know what the hell they sound like, because it's emo bashers and brainwashed emo-fans who can't the difference between their 'favorite' bands." So here we go, an unbiased straight up review from a fan of Cartel, The Showdown, Underoath, 311 and DMB :
3-0 out of 5 stars Worth a chance...
While not all the songs are great, Let it Enfold You isn't a horrible album at all. Sure, there are a few songs I skipped through, but overall, it's not as bad as some make it out to be. For a 2 month period, this album was stuck in my CD player. I eventually got over it but I still enjoy listening to it at times.

Editorial Review

Loneliness, boredom, and random observations have been at the heart of Modest Mouse's skewered musical universe through all their releases. The Issaquah, Washington-born trio has also been able to spin very-long-playing albums that catered to the group's core obsessions, with both its full-length Up Records releases--Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautifully Constructed
Issac Brock may be one of the smartest lyricists of all time. It has more to do with a greater understanding where and how you fit in the grand scheme of things than anything else. The lyrics are awe inspiring, and not just for one song, but seemingly verse after verse. Modest Mouse shed its simple songwritng from the older albums and became an indie rock band for the thinking man.
5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Modest Mouse Album
I know it's not an official album but I could care less.To me, every song on this album is amazing.I would say it's a greatest hits album if I didn't know better.
5-0 out of 5 stars This cd is great!!!!!!!!
Modest Mouse has the best lyrics that I have ever heard and this cd has the best by far.Its cold and dark setting in the music makes you want to go to Alaska and then hate it.It is a great cd to drive down the road and have it really loud.Grey Ice Water is the best because I can picture them in Alaska or somewhere cold and it makes them feel lonely and depressed. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Music/Listen/Repeat
At The Drive In have long been praised as one of the most innovative and extraordinary groups in music. However there was a time in their career when they were just finding their footing and growing into the monster they would become. The trial stage was "Acrobatic Tenement", but with this, their sophomore album "In/Casino/Out", At The Drive In displayed what they have been known for, for years now : Amazing song-writing. If you're not familiar with the early stages that the band went through to get to where they were, then this is of the utmost importance to listen to. Not just that, but it is even more evidence as to why At The Drive In was easily one of the best bands of the last 10 years, and one of the most inspirational and original groups to emerge in music.
4-0 out of 5 stars arguably their best
Most ATDI fans I meet say that this album or relationship of command are their best albums.I would have to say this is, in my opinion, their best album. The energy and emotion throughout each and every song is clearly heard.Acrobatic Tenement was a good start and it had the energy and emotion but what that album lacked was the abstract lyrical content of Cedric and some polish on the music. The production quality is better, the music is cleaner or more focused and it is obvious at how much the band matured from the Hell Paso ep in '94 to this album in '98.The music and lyrics are not as basic on this album as they were on previous work.El Gran Orgo was not a bad ep but you can tell with a couple members leaving after the first full length there was not as much that could have stood out on that effort.I think this is what they were looking to do.Relationship maybe a bit more accessible and the music shows even more talent for them than this album but this album just captures the essence of what this band was for me.This is the album that really got me into ATDI.To me there is not one bad track on this album. If you are new to ATDI definitely pick this one up, it will be worth it.And to the reviewer below me, some of the greatest voices over the years have sung way out of tune.Bob Dylan, Lou Reed....just to name a couple, and they are heavy influences on lots of people.Out of tune adds to the effect of this band cause it was not meant to be a flawless album. This band was not meant to be polished, they displayed the raw energy, confusion, emotion of youth.I really don't think people care how Cedric's voice sounds, its the emotion behind it.Plus you should go pick up a Mars Volta album and hear Cedric wail on those albums.Than tell me he is not a good front man.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just amazing
Well I've heard their other two major cds and this one never really stood out to me before. I saw they had releases a greatest hits compilation and listened to one of the songs on it from In-Casino-Out and found it to be very good. So I gave the rest of the cd a try and was just blown away by the incredibleness of it. Evey song has that tight sound to it, its just rock thats perfectly crafted. It's fun to listen to, I hear they had an amazing live show and the energy the music itself makes just lends to it. I feel like I'm right there watching them while listening to this masterpiece. My favorite songs are Hulahoop wounds and Lopsided. Overall though the cd doesn't have a bad song on it and is well worth the listen. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite cd of 2003-2004
This cd is one that I played almost everyday for about a year. The first time I heard it I was blown away. It has great guitar playing, lyrics and vocals. Everything is just seems to be perfect. Dustin vocals match the lyrics' intensity and the rest of the band play at the same level. "Under a Killing Moon" and "Paper Tigers" were my favorite songs to begin with, but once I started reading lyrics all the songs became favorites. "Artist in the Ambulance" should have been a hit single if Island would have done their job right. It's a shame this album didn't go platinum. I think Coheed and Cambria record outsold this cd and it's nowhere near as good IMO. Anyways their new one "Vheissu" is pretty good but the guitar playing is not as good. Still check that one if you like them.

5-0 out of 5 stars Quite a piece of work..
This album was the begining of a extraordinary experience for me.That being the band thrice. This is the first Thrice album I heard.Actually, I had only heard one song when I bought it, that being "All Thats Left."I usually don't buy albums based on hearing one song, so I don't know why I bought this album. Anyways, after listening to it, it was different that what I had expected to hear, but I was not disapointed. In fact, I listened to it alot at work the next few weeks, and it completely blew me away.
5-0 out of 5 stars hard and powerful
It's a path that the band is traveling down. Each album is becoming more and more dynamic. This was the first album that I bought, after hearing the band on a local college station. After getting into the band I picked up Identity Crisis, and just recently Vheissu.I still feel that Artist is probably my favorite. The title track is especially powerful and dynamic. The emotions show through and it's easy to see how this is not any kind of superficial song or CD.Highly recommend this CD and any others that you can get your hands on. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible Band and worst cover
Other bands have performed covers of Joy Division and most were pretty bad. The cover that fallout boy made of Love Will Tear us Apart is just plain crappy. The singing just sucks (for any songs by fallout boy), not even close to being as good as the original. The cover is a disgrace to Ian. If you want a good version hear the original.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, Amazing, Simply Wonderful
    The CD:
5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Acoustic CD
To the last reviewer, perhaps this is the more sensitive side of Fall Out Boy, but is that necessarily bad? Their acoustic stuff is AMAZING, or are you too obsessed about whether this is "real" punk music or not? Honestly, doesn't it matter more the MATERIAL IN THE CD, not the LABEL? Everyone has their own opinions on music and I'm going to express mine....

5-0 out of 5 stars AFI is best hands down
afi is my favorite band. this is one of there great EPs. resembles Black Sails in the Sunset, but different. my 2 favorites are Halloween (Misfits cover), and Totalimmortal. great EP.
5-0 out of 5 stars perfect
when i buy an e.p. i usually expect 1 maybe 2 good songs, a couple boring ones and basically something to snack on while waiting for the full length. and since they are only usually about 5 bucks, you cant go wrong. but all hallows is 12 minutes of the best afi material they ever released. while i guess its alot harder to make a perfect ep than a perfect album, this ep is perfect, every song on here is on my top ten favorite afi songs list. the sound of this album is slightly faster than black sails, but for the most part the style is very similar, except a little darker and creepier, hence all hallows. Alot of people say this sounds just like the misfits, not quite... i see the similarities, maybe fall children does a little. but seriously this is afi not the misfits. the ep starts with a creepy guitar riff that sets the mood immediatly. then it bursts into fall children; catchy, fast and energized. fall children was a fan song, and songs dedicated to fans are always great. then we go into a cover of the misfits halloween, fun song, probably the worst on the ep just because its not afi. The funny thing is that i think its better than the misfits version. The song is followed by spooky noises; it sounds like someone is strumming piano strings when you listen close, but it always makes me think of a haunted house. this goes on for a couple minutes, so it can get tiresome, but its cool, i think its a cool edition to the ep. then we get the boy who destroyed the world, some of the best lyrics afi ever wrote. this one is a little slower than the previous two, but probably better than the last two. last is totalimmortal, possibly afis best song. its the best one on here and one listen will confirm that for you. its fast, catchy, and magnificent. its by no way a cliche song, daveys vocals go all over the place. and he has something of a duet with jade who has a ghostly voice. When this ends, the only thing youll be thinking is "why didnt they write 8 more songs and make this a full length?" because 8 more songs of this calibur while may be immpossible, would make the best best album ever im pretty sure. so basically these are 4 songs that will stay with you forever, go get this, its just as good as any full length.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is an amazing little piece of punk rock.
Okay, so basically, this EP sounds like a Misfits album, only the songs intelligent and are better written.I'm not saying anything bad about the Misfits.I like The Misfits, but this is just better. The best song on here, in my opinion, has to be 'Fall Children'.I can listen to that one over and over again, and not get bored of it.I also really like their cover of 'Halloween', and 'The Boy Who Destroyed The World'.'Totalimmortal' is alright, but it gets boring after a while.Overall, this is definately worth the 5 bucks I payed for it.If you're a fan of punk rock, you will really like this CD.If you're a fan of AFI's new stuff, you probably won't like this CD too much. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A tale of two CDs
before the emo/punk (if you can call it that) boom of 2004, there were still bands, such as New Found Glory, interested in writing simple catchy songs over crunching guitars in the vein of Green Day and Blink182 (before every band, including NFG,started inserting every hardcore and metal cliche in the book).
4-0 out of 5 stars This is all getting out of hand
Punk is not about listening to bands like the MIsfits and T.S.O.L and other old punk bands.Punk is about not following the crowd and doing stuff your own way and not letting other people get in the way of your own intrests.SO technically if the pop punk listeners listened to all those idiots telling people to listen to old school punk then they would actually become something their not

5-0 out of 5 stars This album marks the best time of my life
I am not sure what I would think of this album if I heard it for the first time in 2006.I imagine it would still be a great record, but hearing it when I was a teenage punk kid was a whole different story.Like another reviewer noted about the negative overtone of the album, it makes you look at the material, shallow, commercially driven life most of us lead. The line in Blueprint.....
      5-0 out of 5 stars I wasn't there...
You seem to be able to appreciate music more when the time and scene are just right. A new movement comes along and, as a participant, you are drawn in more. Fugazi seems to be one of thosephenomenom. To be honest, I find it difficult to classify this one into a nice genre. I always detested that, since it limits one's own ability to appreciate art such as this. But for all intesive purposes, This one is rock.
5-0 out of 5 stars "Ink washes out easier than blood."
Fugazi were one of the last true punk bands of the '90s, though to associate them with straightforward 3-chord punk rock would be somewhat misleading. Ian McKaye, Guy Picciotto (of Minor Threat, Embrace and Rites Of Spring respectively) and the rhythm team of Brendan Canty and Joe Lally played music that both abandoned the genre's limitations and celebrated its anti-corporate DYI ethos. While bands like Green Day and Offspring were watering punk down into commercially accessible territory, Fugazi stayed defiant while constantly refining their sound.

This band is amazing! They have managed to create a CD that is so diverse and so different from anything else out there that I can only describe it as... "Musical A.D.D."... I mean that in the a good way! Each song contains 2 or 3 songs in itself. There are great verses and even better breakdowns... A few songs are even transformed into completely different songs! When I first bought and listened to this album, I thought "hmmm, lots of 'emo-labeled' bands." That didn't stop me from enjoying this soundtrack though. I liked the first two songs on this soundtrack quite a bit at first, but they got pretty old.

      Editorial Review

Weezer was one of the unlikeliest success stories of the post-Nirvana alt. rock boom, a band whose initial multi-platinum success (spawning the successful singles "Buddy Holly," "Undone," and "Say It Ain't So" and high-profile videos by Spike Jonze in its wake) was arguably its most ironic aspect. Indeed, the band's geek-appeal was refreshingly organic, a charm that came sharply into focus on leader Rivers Cuomo's painfully sincere, slice-of-loser-life songs and the energetic, pop-grunge confections the band concocted around them. This deluxe, double-disc edition of one of the '90s key rock albums treats the original collection's 10 tracks to a new, 24-bit digital remastering, as well as insightful liner notes and the reproductions of the songs original, often scrawled lyric sheets. But it's the second disc that will hold the greatest appeal to Weezer fans, gathering 14 tracks that encompass import b-sides and outtakes that include winsome, affectionate odes ("Mykel and Carli," "Suzanne," "Jamie") aimed at everyone from the band's friends to its label personnel and lawyer. Other highlights include the oddball barbershop quartet exercise "My Evaline," several live and acoustic cuts from the album's tour as well a handful of insightful, previously unreleased home and studio demos. 5-0 out of 5 stars Disc one is great, disc two is...OK
Everyone knows and loves disc one, but disc 2 didn't turn my wheels too much. That's probably because I bought it because I loved the recorded versions of the songs on disc one as I remembered them when I originally bought this album.

5-0 out of 5 stars Royal Blue
It ocurred to me when this reissue was released.A modern rock record from my childhood is receiving 10th anniversary reissue treatment. My how time flies! It only seemed like yesterday Rivers and the gang were jamming it out with Opie, the Fonze, and Mr. Myagi (may he r.i.p.) on MTV.For those who remember, MTV once played music videos in the not too distant past. And now, the great quartet known as Weezer is receiving royal treament.
5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Way To Revisit A Great Album -- And Then Some!
Weezer's infamous self-titled debut (otherwise known as "The Blue Album") is one of the few pieces of music from it's time that still holds up just as well today. When they made their mark in 1994, Kurt Cobain was dead and the music world had already been oversaturated by mumbling, uninspiring grunge clones. Although Weezer never quite changed the musical climate, they did, however, create a quite perfect debut, one that transcends all genres and inspires new bands even today. Few groups that materialized at this time are still around today, but Weezer remain vital, and each song on this ten track debut remains an alternative rock staple. You can't throw a cat in a crowded room without hitting someone who, whether they realize it or not, knows a good Weezer tune. So, it only makes sense that on the tenth anniversary of the release, a Deluxe Edition made it's way with all new artwork and a bonus disc full of b-sides, outtakes, demos, live songs etc. The question is, is it worth buying again?

5-0 out of 5 stars Ender WILL save us all
This is the first of many excellent albums filled with heartfelt lyrics, beautiful music (including Chris's acoustic guitar) and just all around wonderful emo music. This is probably my favourite album of their's, but then again I love them all so I shouldn't try to choose.
4-0 out of 5 stars This is NOT EMO...It's acoustic rock people...
And the first 4 songs are FANTASTIC but after that they really drop the ball until track 8 (Again I Go Unnoticed)....those are basically the 5 best songs...there's a few decent ones in between but 1-4 and 8 are 5 star.

3-0 out of 5 stars pretty good cd
i thought this was a pretty good cd. some songs kind of sounded the same, but it's still a good listen if you're in an emo kinda mood. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars theyre a 3 star band. bottom line
i say this...because...while they can be musically powerful...the vocals have always been..and will probably always will be...a little weak. sounds like hes trying to force too much sound out of his mouth and some goes out of his nose. it gets annoying, no matter how catchy the song is. this is one of those bands that will have a constant 16 year old fan base. i remember when i got their first album...it was ok. got their seecond album thinking..."hey...they can only get better" but..they just got more experienced and not much better. this album would have been so much better if he took some voice lessons. whining aint so hot no more.

5-0 out of 5 stars My favorite by NFG
New Found Glory is a great band, and I don't want to hear those stupid people getting all "This isn't punk." Anyway, NFG has been changing and I personally like it. It seems to me that they get better with each album. I originally ignored New Found Glory because I had that same narrow minded idea toward "what's punk and what isn't" But after I heard "No News is Good News" on Warped Tour 2004, I loved it. I loved it so much that I went out and bought the album and admitted I liked pop punk. I changed and am glad I did as I can now own a better variety of punk. Yes, I think this is punk. And if it isn't, oh well! I stille like it. Hey world! I like New Found Glory!!! Quit being closed minded and try this!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars all hail to New found glory!!!
this cd top to bottom was a joy to listen to, as soon as I popped it in I was instantly grabbed by the music and awesome singing. sure I agree that the singers voice is not so great at times, but I have long given up on talented singers. singing has nothing to do with if the song sounds good or not. trust me. New Found Glory constantly comes up with reasons for their fans to keep interest in them even long after their best albums have been released. if you want a fun cd to sing along to that will allow you to once again enjoy new music, then this cd is for you. if you want to be a hateful dissapointed bashful fan, then go listen to fall out boy... or panic at the disco. New found glory delivers with this new and fresh album, and its nothing short of fun and entertaining... certainly an album to brag about for months.... so take it from me, its much better than you think ... 2-0 out of 5 stars I don't understand...
I wanted to hear Dashboard and instead I get a bunch of idiots singing instead? It doesn't seem much, but I wasted [...] on this cd. I should have bought new strings for my guitar. At least then I wouldn't have to listen to these idiots screaming the songs. I hate this and the DVD is even worse because then you have to see all these rich idiot kids playing extra sad for the cameras??? WTF Dashboard? MTV Sucks!

1-0 out of 5 stars Waste
Why did I pay money to hear kids yelling to the accoustic playing of Dashboard Confessional? If you're an old fan, you'll like it.But me being a new fan . . . this is a waste of money.I paid to hear Dashboard sing accoustic versions of their songs. Not kids.I felt like I was sitting at a campfire at Vacation Bible School. Stupid!

5-0 out of 5 stars This is by far Dashboard's best album
How could anyone give this cd a rating below 5 stars? This cd fully encaptures what it is like to be standing in front of Chris at one of his shows. The audiance sing-along makes this cd what it is. This is not only my favorite Dashboard cd, but it is my favorite cd of all time. There is not a week that goes by that I find myself not listening to this album.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of My All-Time Favorite Albums
I'm sorry, but "Voices" is an amazing cd and is sooo much better and more mature than anything Matchbook Romance has ever done before. I first got it as a birthday present in early April and to this day, I still find myself going back to it even when i spent the first few months in an obsessive trance with this cd. There's just something about it that keeps me engaged and makes me feel like part of the music.
3-0 out of 5 stars 3.5 Is More Accurate; Musical Evolution > Musical Creationism
Let's take a quick look at what 2006 has done for the world of rock music. We've got hot shots like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Hawthorne Heights, and From First to Last trying to redefine their sound as well as continue to let their respective fanbases grow - and for the most part, these trials have been successful. Out of all of the rock bands in 2006 to try and change their sound, though, the most significant change would be Matchbook Romance's. Stories and Alibis was a huge hit for the scene kids with your typical whiny break up-themed tracks like "Promise" and "My Eyes Burn."
2-0 out of 5 stars Hm...
I was dissapointed.I heard a sample part of one these songs, I liked their sound.
