    Editorial Review

No fat cigar, not even Cuba's gorgeous sunsets, can register close on the sublimity scale to the country's lush, commercially unsullied music, something lots of folks discovered a few years back when a subtle loosening of regulatory strings let the brilliant, boundary-busting Buena Vista Social Club cross the shore. On Cuban Lullaby, another of Ellipsis Arts' impressively packaged, carefully annotated, and sweet-smelling Lullaby series (the scent of lavender, said to promote heavy-liddedness, comes wafting out once the protective plastic is removed), the tradition-steeped African and Spanish elements that fused the Cuban sound fall in for a 16-track close-up--intimacy, after all, is what lullabies are all about. The music moves from lilting piano ("Drume Negrita," "Berceuse a Jessie," "Drume Mobila") to elegant guitar (a different rendition of "Drume Negrita," "Suenos de Colores") to tribal-sounding bata drums ("Oguere"). The set is by turns sweepingly beautiful, twinkly sweet, and rhythmically soothing--no surprise, considering this record's artist roster. Grammy-winning pianist Chucho Valdes, immortal entertainer Bola de Nieve, and Buena Vista Social Club singer Omara Portuondo raise the talent bar to a dizzying level, the right altitude, it turns out, for drifting off to dreamland. If your little one is the lucky intended dozer, leave the light on and read the liner notes. The English translations of these songs, like "El Amor de Caracol y Lombriz," about a snail-worm romance, and "Nana Animalera," describing a late-night all-animal hootenanny, crack a window on Cuban culture, causing, without intending to, sharp regrets that it's been sealed away for so long. --Tammy La Gorce ... 5-0 out of 5 stars la fairy azul

5-0 out of 5 stars Rare Gem
I am Cuban-American and found two rare gems this year. This CD, CUBAN LULLABY and the Cuban-American bilingual children's picturebook set in Cuban Miami's Little Havana Calle Ocho Festival, DRUM, CHAVI, DRUM!/TOCA, CHAVI, TOCA! The characters, author and illustrator are Cuban. These two recommendations are for children, but if you're Cuban-Americanor Latina/o you will relish in these two items no matter how old you are.

    10 stars to both items!

5-0 out of 5 stars Songs from my Familia
It is so wonderful to hear this album together with my child.I am looking forward to sharing this album with my new baby as well.My family is from Cuba and although my Abuela (grandmother) and Papi (father) are no longer with us, this album captures the songs they would share with my children. It is hard though, to listen to songs like Drueme Negrita, a favorite that my Dad would sing to me when I was young without shedding a tear.Hearing these special songs reminds me that my family and heritage are always with me.For anyone else it is enrichment for the child to hear songs in other languages with a different tempo and style.I highly recommend this for adults and kids alike. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome CD
I need to buy another one of these CDs because mine is worn out! I teach Spanish to preschoolers(2-5)and they love these songs. The lyrics are fun to sing and it's great for dancing. This has been the best bilingual CD for kids that I've found so far.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent children's intro to Spanish
This is a standard play in our home. My kids LOVE the way the character's repeat each Spanish sentence after Luis, Bob, Maria and the Muppets. The songs are catchy and infectious. We love to listen to this one in the afternoon, and after a lively session of sing along and dancing, it's off for naptime!Buy the video too, it's fun and festive and will give your little ones a taste of Spanish culture. A must have for every Elmo and Sesame Street fan!

5-0 out of 5 stars Way too much fun to be only for kids!!!
    #1)I'm an adult
    #2)I have no kids
    #3)I love this CD.

Yes...it's FUN...and sometimes way too sickenly cute. Elmo singing spanish? Classics like "The people in your neighborhood".

I tell my friends that I'm trying to learn spanish...when in reality this CD is just as fun to listen to as just about anythign you'll find on the radio. Super sticky sweet, but not stupid and not condescending.

Oh, and if you *do* have kids....I'm sure it's even more fun.
Worth it....if you came to this page you're probably considering it...so get on with it...buy it already! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars My son loves this!!
My son is two and has loved the Wiggles since he was four months old.The songs are fun to dance to and have some educational background to them as well (check out the video, too).I am a kindergarten teacher and have used tracks in the classroom to teach letter sounds (Di Dicki Do Dum) and blends as well as poetry timing.I am very pleased!

3-0 out of 5 stars Wish I had bought a different Wiggles CD
My daughter loves the Wiggles Yummy Yummy CD, so after reading some good reviews on Dance Party I decided to buy it.This CD is a lot more annoying than Yummy Yummy - some songs actually make me cringe. My daughter likes the CD, but it is not one of her favorites.

5-0 out of 5 stars Rockin' your child will never be the same....
This album is the only sanity parents of toddlers seem to have when choosing music for their children. It's great in the car and even funner in the living room for dancing. "Doing the Flap" is a great favorite with my son and even "Wags the Dog" is a huge hit with the 12 and 10 year old. When it comes to kid's music, this one ROCKS -- without rolling you over with old cliches and music that dulls vs stimulate those creative juices ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic CD!
We have almost all of the Wiggles CDs so I think I'm becoming a resident authority these days!We never grow tired of them and my little one requests them all the time and this one is no different. It's funny to hear a two-year-old say "Hoop De Doo!"The video that coincides with this is really great. The first time I put it in and hear the title track, I said to myself, "there's no way they're in there doing a polka!"Well, guess what? They were! These guys are so silly but teach such great things to kids. This one has a Scottish wedding song on it called "Marie's Wedding" (pronounced Mah-ree [sounds like Murray] in Australia whereas we would just say Marie), which is really neat and exposes kids to other English-speaking cultures.I love that. Not to mention all the different music styles in this one.I personally love the drum solo in "Wiggly Party."

This CD and video is the one to get if you're doing a Wiggles Birthday party. It has all the party songs on it and on the DVD, "Wiggly Party: has a ton of balloons that are released during the song and that's really neat for kids to see during a party. But honestly, "Captain's Magic Buttons" is worth the cost of the cd by itself. My husband almost has a doctorate in music and he has to replay that song over and over again he likes it so much! You have to get the video to see what they did to the song "Caveland."It is fully animated and just so very, very cute.I've never seen anything like that one."Run Around, Run, Run" teaches kids how to sing and listen to music in a round, and "Wobbly, Wobbly Dance" teaches a bunch of coordination.Another favorite is "Move Like an Emu."This cd keeps my litte one dancing a bunch in his carseat and it will definitely entertain toddlers everywhere. And, if you ever get to see the Wiggles live, it's awesome to see what they do with some of the songs on this album.Great stuff - you can't go wrong with this one and it makes a great gift.Educational and fun!

5-0 out of 5 stars We and our 2 1/2 year old love it!
This has quickly become our 2 1/2 year old's favorite album, and every time we listen to it, my wife and I both enjoy it more. All the songs are sweet -- the Scottish wedding song, the "Rosie Tea" (Run Around), the title track -- all of them! It is quite lively, and our biggest problem is at bedtime when our daughter wants to dance to Wiggly Party and we would rather she listen to listen to lullabies...

5-0 out of 5 stars WonderfulCD
I'm a mother of a 2 1/2 year old. My son absolutely loves this CD He sings along with it. He also wants mommy to sing along with it. The Wiggles are very definitely his favorite. I would recommend this Cd to any Parent. It has brought fun and enjoyment to my little one. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The Wiggles are fast becoming the 2- to 6-year-old crowd's answer to the Fab Four in their native Australia, inciting ants-in-the-pants squirming, squeals of delight, and worshipful sing-alongs all across the nation. With their eponymous TV show, they're poised to widen the Wigglemania. On Let's Wiggle, Anthony Field (the blue-shirted Wiggle), Murray Cook (the red-shirted one), Greg Page (always in yellow), and Jeff Fatt (perennially purple) and their costumed pals Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Henry the Octopus, and Wags the Dog settle in for some serious silliness on such songs as "Fly Through the Air," "I Look in the Mirror," and "Little Brown Ant." Simple musical arrangements and easy-to-grasp themes ("I love it when it rains / And I lie in bed at night / I listen to it patter" is the extent of one lyric) pave the way for attentive listening. The Wiggles also earn a nod in the credibility category: 13 of this album's songs were written by group members (the rest, like "Sing a Song of Polly" and "Bound for South Australia" are traditional songs), and they even handle their own guitars. Overall, despite what sometimes feels like overkill on the Australia angle (lots of kangaroos and kookaburras scamper through these songs), parents would be hard-pressed to find a better bunch of guys for their preschoolers to wiggle with. --Tammy La Gorce ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Mama, I want my Wiggles!!
I hear that every morning when we get in the car & drive to preschool.

My daughter loves The Wiggles so when my sister-in-law asked what she could get as a gift, I told her anything by The Wiggles.Well, we've created a Wiggles monster! My daughter knows every song on the cd & still asks to hear it everyday!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Wiggles Are GREAT
My son Keagan 2yrs old loves the wiggles.Every morning he has to have his wiggles tape in to watch and to dance to it.The music is catchy and always keeps his attention. The dances he does along with the music are soo cute and keeps him occupied for hours.I would most definatley recommend wiggle music to anyone who has a young child.Kelli Brown

5-0 out of 5 stars Never heard of them!
I had not heard of the Wiggles until we received this CD as a gift. We played the CD during a visit by a friend with a 16-month old daughter, and although they hadn't been familiar with the Wiggles either, the daughter immediately started to dance to the music. As best I can tell, our baby likes it too. (He's only 8 weeks old. If our playing it doesn't make him cry, that counts as liking it.)

The songs are catchy... I find myself humming or singing them pretty often. And there is an intersting mix of music: some Wiggles's originals and some Australian traditional.

We're enjoying the CD so much that I've been looking for Wiggles CDs at our public library, and was very disappointed to find that they don't have any! So, we'll just have to buy them. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Rated SAE - Safe for Adult Ears
Our whole family loves the video "Wiggly Wiggly World", (which is unfortunately not yet available on DVD), so this was an obvious choice when buying Wiggly cd's.

The songs are great to sing along to, and the bonus song, "Porcupine Pie" is an excellent cover of the original. This Wiggles cd has the most guest performers to date, eight in all, and they are all worthy of an "A" Listing, especially Christine Anu, Slim Dusty, Tim Finn and Rolf Harris. My son's favorites are "One Little Coyote" and "Morningtown Ride".

The two essential Wiggles cd's to buy are this one and Yummy Yummy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great compromise for the kids and you
From a kid's perspective my daughter (2) likes this cd (and video) quite a bit.I would have to say her favorite is Yummy Yummy, but this ranks up there and she does dance to a lot of the songs.I don't really agree that this is "slow" as others have said.It does have SOME slow songs, but who can take 40 minutes of constant jumping around and dancing? If you have seen these guys in concert they sweat more than Richard Simmons or Jane Fonda ever thought about. It looks like a serious workout. When you think about it, that's a lot of stimulation for a kid too so why not mix in a FEW slower songs with the get up and dance tunes as well?My husband really can't tolerate the Wiggles, but I like them from the perspective that my daughter is interacting (doing hand motions they have with some songs) or dancing and not just vegging in front of the TV.My husband agrees these are by far the most tolerable songs they have out.It was GREAT to hear Tim Finn formerly of Crowded House (I'm big fan) on a kid's cd/video.Mom stops folding laundry to join in the fun for "Six Months in a Leaky Boat" every time. This was a good find for us and I'm glad we added it to our collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Catchy tunes YOU'LL be humming @ work and it'sNOT Barney !
This is a quote from a Time magazine article which sums up why this group and all thier songs are Soooo good.

"The Sydney-based children's group are on more solid ground. With goof-ball grins, a chunky dinosaur name Dorothy, and song titles as simple as Hot Potato, The Wiggles' Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Jeff Fatt and Greg Page have struck gold with pre-schoolers.........It's this very quality, of course, that kids, parents and educators love. The Wiggles promote social behaviour, urging children to engage with a world that is becoming increasingly virtual."

    Michael Fitzgerald TIME MAGAZINE

The Wiggles self-titled first album was released in 1991 and immediately garnered a Gold record for "Here Comes a Song". The albums "The Wiggles", followed by "Yummy Yummy", "Big Red Car", "Wiggly Wiggly Christmas" and "Wake Up Jeff" have all gone platinum . ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars CD stands well on its own
I just wanted to add that you *do not* need to watch the show or own the "Yummy Yummy" video to appreciate this CD....It is full of classic folk tunes and preschool singalongs, as well as their original compositions like "Yummy Yummy" and "Hot Potato".

We started listening to the Wiggles when after 3-year old had turned 2, and waited to watch the videos until at least that old.He enjoys the traditional tunes as much as the Wiggles tunes.Just because a song doesn't have words (like the instrumentals) doesn't mean your child can't appreciate them and dance along!

Please think about how you choose the albums you own--Do all the songs on an album have to be similar for you to enjoy it?This and other Wiggles albums have a great variety of music to learn, appreciate, and enjoy in various ways. The number of songs featured on the Wiggles videos and TV show don't do justice to the wealth of music they offer for children's entertainment.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent CD!
My little girl (who is 14 months old)LOVES this CD. We've had it for a few months now, and she begs me to play it all the time. Her favorites are Hot Potato and Fruit Salad, although she lovesALL the songs. My personal favorite is Captain Feathersword. :)

I highly recommend this CD! It's a life saver for me. I'm able to do some housework while my little girl listens to it and plays quietly on her own. Yay!

5-0 out of 5 stars OK, my take on things...
I am 19 years old and i'm into stuff like (Metallica, Megadeth.. ect.), but i also have a daughter who is now 11 months. I downloaded (Hot Patato) off the internet and she began clapping, and shouting, it was amazing how much she liked it. So, i began buying all of there videos and became a fan myself. No matter if people say their goofy, or whatever... I think their musically talented as well as a great band for my daughter, and i. I recommend this album to anyone who enjoys nice, and wacky tunes! But the DVD is better... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A Treat for Parents and Kids Alike
What a fantastic CD! If you are a pop music fan you would have to love this album--You don't have to have the DVD to appreciate this album. The songs are more of a rocking late 60s and early 70s sound, "Zing Zang Zong" being one of the highlights.

Like all the songs on this CD, "Let's Make Some Rosey Tea" sounds even better on CD than on the DVD.It also features some songs from "Space Dancing," which are equally awesome--"What's This Button For?" and the cover of "Eagle Rock".

I love how the Wiggles explore pop music and don't stick with the traditional folk songs, I think "Wiggle Bay" and other late Wiggles albums are a great introduction for kids to pop music.

5-0 out of 5 stars One of their best CDs!
I read the other reviews which prompted me to say this CD is NOT boring! How can anyone say Zing Zang Zong is boring??My daughter is 7 and is a huge Wiggles fan, well, I am too and I'm in my 30's. The musical style of this album is similar to something from the 60's beach set and the songs are very catchy.I find myself humming them during the day while I teach. If your kids watch the newer Playhouse Disney series, Network Wiggles, they'll be familiar with the songs and dances and will appreciate this CD.Enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Album, but Get the Video Too!
At first, I thought this cd was the Wiggles' first "stinkaroo" effort. The songs are a little more rock-and-rollish compared to their other cds. However, when I saw the video, it definitely made sense! It's really cute when you see the action that goes with the songs. This seems to be a departure from their previous studio albums so don't expect tunes like, "Dorothy the Dinosaur," and "Wake Up Jeff."It's more like a mini-movie with this being the soundtrack. My son likes it, however, and I really like it now too. ... Read more

I gave all of the Wiggles N' Tunes CD to my cousin's twins and they just loved wiggling! The songs were wonderfully arranged and captivated their attention. They keep asking to play again...again. I highly recommend this purchase for all parents and caregivers with young children, they make a great gift!

    Editorial Review

Pull out your pith helmet and prepare to kick up some Down Under dust with the wizards from Oz. On Wiggly Safari the bright-shirted groovesters ditch their Disney day jobs for a romp through the outback with croc hunter Steve Irwin, who spares us, mercifully, any stabs at singing in favor of intra-lyric animal commentary. Sometimes he inspires a solid "hmm." "Old Man Emu," for instance, presents the tale of an embattled bird that can't fly ("But I'm tellin' you / He can run the pants off a kangaroo"), and the maraca-shaking "Dingo Tango" tackles the wild dogs' ancestry. Other times, the facts fall flat: "Eat and chew / Animals eat, and so do you," "Feeding Time" reminds us. Musically, Safari offers standard-issue Wiggles wackiness: "Dorothy Queen of the Roses" stomps to a country beat; the "Koala La La" snuggles up, lullaby-style; the Hawaiian strains of "Swim with Me" set dorsal fins a-wagging; "The Crocodile Hunter" rocks; and the gem "Do the Owl" hoots along to a hopped-up disco beat. Suit 'em up in cargo shorts and dancing shoes and set them free in the playroom--so contagious is the Wiggly spirit that 2- to 6-year-olds who can't tell a kookaburra from a crocodile will kick up their heels. Keep in mind, though, that Safari's a strictly-for-kids expedition. Stick around for more than a couple repeat spins and you'll want to ship yourself off to Australia to escape it. --Tammy La Gorce ... Read more

I bought this CD before taking my baby to see the Wiggles in concert since their tour was titled "Wiggly Safari."What a great purchase (the concert was incredibly outstanding - worth more than the rental car, the hotel room and the ticket price we paid!)!I'm not sure what the reviewer is talking about - not wanting to listen to this very much because quite frankly, I really like this one myself! At least now I know how to properly pronounce kookaburra!Anyway, my baby loves it and it really is nice having Steve Irwin talking about the different animals.I love that kookaburra song and actually getting to see Dorothy dance the butterfly dance in a tutu with Captain Feathersword (what a talented man!) was absolutely a riot!Don't pass this one by - it's full of great information for your children and you'll have fun listening to all the songs as well.If you get a chance, definitely GO SEE THE WIGGLES IN CONCERT!What a great time!

5-0 out of 5 stars Mom Of A Wiggles Fan
Good CD to have for long car trips! My 2 1/2 year old son used to hate long car rides but now he does not mind as long as I play The Wiggles CD's.I do get a bit tired of listening to them over and over again but it is either that or listen to a crying little boy which is much harder on the ears.If you liked the music on the DVD then this is the CD for you.It has Steve and his wife talking to the guys on it in between each song giving tid bits of info about the animals.

3-0 out of 5 stars Video/DVD is Better
My toddler and I love the Wiggles, and we initially bought this CD before we bought the video. The music is okay, focusing more on teaching children about Australian animals, which is great, but lacks the catchy tunes of the Wiggles in their heyday (e.g., Toot Toot or Yummy Yummy). Listening to the CD without the video is quite frustrating because the songs and dialogue are all about the animals. I had to go out and buy the video for my 2yo so she could see what an emu looks like since she heard about them in the songs! I would recommend the video or DVD before the CD. If you're looking for Wiggles music, try Toot Toot or Yummy Yummy. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

The animated veggies' first collection of song is a must for anyone who has fallen in love with their videos. The only complaint is the length--or lack thereof (the disc clocks in at a scant 25 minutes). The 16 songs are from the first 3 VeggieTales videos: Where's God When I'm S-Scared?, Are You My Neighbor?, and God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?! The musical selections are not as solid as the second volume of tunes, but these songs put VeggieTales on the map: "God Is Bigger (Than the Boogie Man)," "Love Your Neighbor," and "The Hairbrush Song," among them. Cocreators Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki have a wonderful sense of musical diversity and certainly have more fun with their Christian-lite message than most. Take the lyrics from the counter-melody number "Oh No! What We Gonna Do," which finds the wise men plotting against Daniel: "We could throw him in the Tigris, let him float awhile / Then we'll all sit back and watch him meet a hungry crocodile." --Doug Thomas ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Not just for Christians
My husband and I were raised Catholic, but have chosen to not raise our children within a formal church. This music is a great way to teach some of the Bible stories in a really fun way.The music is great, the lyrics brilliant and wonderful for all ages.My kids are 3, 8 and 11, and all love it.I highly recommend this cd.

Another review compared Veggie Tales with Sesame Street - and I agree. The humor is for kids and adults alike, in a clean, hilarious way.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Album for Kids and Big Kids Alike
These albums are some of the best kids music out there. The tunes are easy to learn and very contagious. I have this album and the first one. The videos are excellent as well and kids really enjoy them... I should know, I work at a preschool!

    5-0 out of 5 stars Veggie-licious!
Whether we are at home or riding in the car, this CD can get the entire family singing, laughing, and having fun. What a wonderful way to teach great life lessons to young and old alike. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a Fun-filled cd that should be in everyone's stereos
This soundtrack is So awesome...i Love it.Each and every song is unique in its own way and it's amusing lyrics are fun to listen and sing along to.All the songs that can be found on this soundtrack is catchy and amazing.Relient K and the Newsboys add their own touch with their fun songs of "The Pirates who Don't Do Anything" and "In the Belly of the Whale".So make sure you get this soundtrack!I guarantee you will enjoy it...if not fall in love with it

5-0 out of 5 stars You know you're hooked when...
...when you let the kids listen while driving them to school, and then turning it up louder once they've left."Pirates", "Billie Joe McGuffrey", and "The Credits Song" are great songs. While the movie score is missable, it doesn't detract from the rest of the album.Very catchy, but yet it doesn't get tiresome.

4-0 out of 5 stars Fun, But Not Completely Singable
Big Idea's first full length movie gets a complete CD all to itself.7 of the tracks are instrumentals from the movie's score, but the other 12 are songs from the movie.

My biggest complaint is that we get a few half songs."Bald Bunny" and "Steak and Shrimp" are really more pointless then normal, even for Big Ideas. However, these are off-set by the songs recorded by regular Christian artists.

"Second Chances," straight from the movie and sung by Anointed, is a fun toe taping song.Chris Rice provides all 12 verses for "Billy Joe McGuffrey."Relient K does a wonderful cover of "The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything."I'll admit, it too me a couple listens to fully appreciate it, but I love it.Probably my favorite is "In the Belly of the Whale" by Newsboys. It makes me laugh so much.

Of course, there are songs recorded by the "veggies" on here as well. The best song related to the movie is "Jonah was a Prophet."And if you're looking for this movie's version of a silly song, skip to "Credits Song."I was laughing so hard when I first heard it, I had to pull my car to the side of the road.

I'm not usually a fan of soundtrack albums, but I'm certainly glad I bought this one.The songs I've highlighted make it more then worth while. ... Read more

    Editorial Review

This third collection of VeggieTunes contains songs from three videos from the popular VeggieTales: Madame Blueberry, King George and the Ducky, and Esther: The Girl Who Became Queen. As from the beginning, the songs are usually written by the show's creators Phil Vischer and Mike Nawrocki, and illustrate a surprising range of musical tastes. Endearing ballads such as "Thankfulness" and "The Battle Is Not Ours" are mixed with rap ("Salesmunz Rap"), classical ("Stuff Stuff, Mart Mart"), and even a yodeling song ("The Yodeling Veterinarian of the Alps," a bonus song from the The End of Silliness video). With smart themes and witty lyrics, the songs have always been a strong favorite of the Christian-lite gang. Of course, there's plenty of wackiness with "Silly Songs with Larry," including "Endangered Love," which showcases Nawrocki's witty lyrics (can you think of many words that rhyme with "manatee?"). Even better are the "Love Song with Mr. Lunt," and "His Cheeseburger." Lyrics are included.--Doug Thomas ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Cheeseburger Song Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I am 14 years old and I am obsessed with "His Cheeseburger."It is such a great song!!!!!!!!!!!!I think everyone in the whole world should listen to it!!!!!!!!!I don't know much about the other songs on the CD, but I LOVE the cheeseburger song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good stuff.
This is good stuff. Probably the best Veggie Tunes cd.

5-0 out of 5 stars Hilarious and Fun!!
I don't know how they do it but these tapes keep my 8 and 5-year old-daughters entertained for hours. This tape coincides with the video of the same title and teaches children the importance of being thankful (and grateful) for all they have. The songs are fun and wacky, and will have the adults singing and laughing just as loudly as the kids. I especially like the Stuff-Mart Suite with its mixture of classical and "rap"...Hysterical!!! And Mr. Lunt's Cheeseburger song is by far the quirkest and most fun of all. I would definitely recommend the video as well.

PS. This is not just for Christian audiences. The religious message is overt, but not "in-your-face". It is a selection of entertaining music that teaches powerful moral values. There's something here for everyone, believe me!

Enjoy this 5-Star CD. ... Read more

Looking for a superhero? The VeggieTales masked crusader, Larry-Boy--by day known as Larry the Cucumber--now has his own soundtrack so fans can musically revisit the Larry-Boy video adventures such as Larry-Boy and the Fib from Outer Space and Larry-Boy and the Rumor Weed. The VeggieTales gang (promoting "Sunday morning values and Saturday morning fun" with computer-animated, Christian-themed tales) has found a winner in their hero. Larry-Boy plays as radio theater, including a mix of new tunes, selections from the two Larry-Boy videos, and even some show-stopping remixes. The variety of music is quite enjoyable, everything from Gregorian chants and flapper-era jazz to rap and disco. --Doug Thomas ... Read more

Veggie Tales are the coolest! At first I wasn't really into them and I thought that they were corny, but for my speech class we had to do an informative speech on a favorite singer (band). I enjoy uniqueness so ipicked veggie tales. Only two of my 20 classmates actually knew who theveggie tales were, and i honestly thought that the others were going tothink that i was looney to like some kind of talking vegtables. But it allturned out great and everyone loved them. I was surprised and happy cause igot a 100 on the speech. All this to say that these talking veggies aremade for all age groups wether it be 2 or 20. It is those kinds of thingsthat are made for kids but has some meaning to it that only adults willcatch. If you love fun this is for you!And your childred will love itjust as much. Enjoy.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Great Great!
I bought this before my daughter was born and one day I put it in and I loved it!Now that my daughter is almost two we both know the words! It's a funny CD and it makes the drive go by quickly!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wore out the cassette
I had this "album" on cassette when my son was a baby almost 14 years ago. Expecting another child soon and went looking for it again, along with the Disney Lullaby CD; my teenager still remembers these songs fondly, and I can't wait to share them with our new little one. Tip: put this CD on when you're changing your child and sing to him/her; keeps them fascinated (and still!)

4-0 out of 5 stars Mickey, Donald, Goofy and the gang sing some silly songs
The idea here is to tickle the ribs of little kids by putting together twenty of the world's wackiest songs and have Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and other Disney cartoon characters make their appearance throughout the album. For example, doing "Ta Ra Ra Boom De Ay!" Mickey and Goofy exchange some bad jokes.A few of the songs have actually appeared in Disney movies, such as "When I See an Elephant Fly" from "Dumbo," which is given a different interpretation by a "teacher."Some of the songs are sung by a group of kids, but most are done by adults singing solo, usually with vocal affectations (e.g., "Little Bunny Foo Foo").If you little ones have never heard these songs, then "Silly Songs" is certainly one way of providing an introduction.Every kid should know the words to "I'm My Own Grandpaw," "A Peatnut Sat on a Railraod Track," "Three Little Fishies," "There's a Hole in the Bottom of the Sea" and the classic "Be Kind to Your Web-footed Friends" (with all due apologies to John Phillip Sousa--and do I really have to tell you who sings this one?). Parents should just look over the playlist and if you know these songs then your kids should too, and it is probably better if they learn then from this record then having to endure you teaching them "Boom, Boom, Ain't It Great to Be Crazy?"Besides, think how their jaws will drop when they find out you already know the words when they try to teach YOU. ...
