WWF Championship No Disqualifications The Rock vs Stone Cold ***** star match

The IC Title match was OK. Since Regal lost, that made it better. The 6 man tag stunk. The Hardcore match went everywhere and overthrew my expectations. The European Title Match was dumb. It was a nobodies war. Test did great and deserved the match. Benoit and Angle was boring. But the end was fair. The Women's match was boring and it helped that it was short. The street fight ruled! Finally Vince loses and gets a 4 on 2 attack (Shane, Foley, Linda, and Trish Vs. Steph and vince) Shane was amazing! TlC 2 was sweet like the first TLC match. If you saw the first TLC you would know how amazing it was. The Gimmick Match was funny. It's good to see Mean Gene and the Brain back. Sheik won but..... Game and Taker went everywhere Taker deserved every bit of his win. The Main Event everyone knew it was going to be awesome. They were wrong it was even better than that. I love Wrestlemania because almost all the heels a lost. Very unordinary! I would reccomend this to anyone and everyone. You must get this!

SmackDown! 2 is the best wrestling game for the PlayStation, period. In both its graphics and gameplay, it's very similar to the firstSmackDown!, except that players will find a mother lode of options forspicing up their wrestling lives.

Besides season mode, players can fight in ladder, table, and chair matches.Their battles can spill over into back areas, in which furniture and eventraffic abound. Wrestlers can even drive a forklift over their opponents forparticularly painful results. All of the ring entrances are there in finedetail. Players also can create their own wrestler with hair, weight, andaccessory options that rival those of any wrestling game out there.

Still missing is the color commentary; also, the move set for each wrestler iskind of limited. Overall, players can expect a fun experience that, while notperfect, is certainly the top wrestling title for the system. --RobbGuido

4-0 out of 5 stars FINALLY, the WWF HAS COME BACK.. to PlayStation!
You may have seen my consumer report on this item. Well, here's the review. By the time you read this, Smackdown!2: Know Your Role will have been released and is probably sitting in your hands right now. You then already know the joy. SM!2 uses the same game engine and ideas from SmackDown! 1. Season mode, special referee... all the original modes are there, along with some new ones: ladder matches(oh joy), Heel-in-a-Cell (oh rapture!), TLc (you'll figure out what it means), Casket matches, basically any match you could ever imagine the WWF doing is here.

The graphics have been polished nicely, while keeping the arcade feel that drove away a few gamers last time around. The sound has improved, with real entrance themes along with VOICE-OVERS (yeah, you heard me) from all of the over 50 WWF superstars included in the game, such as Rikishi(BOO!), Kurt Angle(oh, it's true,),the Rock, and... dare-I-say-it, Too Cool. My only gripe with the characters is the fact that Stone Cold Steve Austin, arguably one of the WWF's biggest stars, is a HIDDEN CHARACTER! That's right, spunky, you gotta unlock him. Even though it isn't that hard to do so, (play season mode, make it to Backlash, win your match, he's unlocked) it's still a little weird. Just hope it's not like last year; you didn't unlock the characters themselves, just the ability to CREATE them. That was one of the earlier game's biggest flaws. Control is tight, but you can only do a small number of moves, unlike No Mercy for the N64, with over 50 moves per character, so you'll end up using the same moves over and over. Not too good for creativity, even with the new matches.

RATINGS (out of 5) Graphics: 5- for the last PlayStation WWF game, it's purty. Sound: 5- good. all the whacks, music, and attitude are there. Control: 4- tight, responsive, but also repetitive. Funocity: 4.5- not the best, but it's close.

OVERALL: 4 out of 5- the arcadey feel detracts from the fun and replay value, but you'll have fun while it lasts. A pretty good game.

(and for those who question the validity of this review, I got the game from Electronics Boutique in Alton. there's your proof that I played it.)

4-0 out of 5 stars Smackdown 3 is good
Smackdown 2 has over 60 wrestlers including The Rock, The Undertaker, Kurt Angle, Rikishi, Trishetc and there is abut 15 hiddfen wrestlers incuding HBK, Stone Cold, Billy Gunn, The Stooges, Mean Street Posse, Debra ,Mick Foley , Cactus Jack, Micheal Cole and more. Other Hidden Features are WWF New York, TLC Match,Tornado Tag Table match and a Iron Man Special Guset Referee. The new matches includes Hell In a Cell, Table, Ladder, casket,Hardcore Tag,Hardcore 3 way and 4 way dances, etc. And people are saying it is impossible to put your created wrestler in the events, it is easy, all you have to do is go to ranking, then go right till you find "Others" then go down and your created wrestlers will be click on him, then go left till you find the title yoyu wanna go for and just click X. Its that easy. The CAW is the best ever with tons of moves and body parts. There is even Jeff Jarrett's and Goldusts head in the original section. Alos you can make the old undertaker (The Phenom). And if you go to original on the upper and lower body section and go to the bottom, there is the costumes for Jerry Lawler, Andre The Giant, Bob Backland and Sgt slaughter. even when you do the auto setting for moves and go to superstars' at the bottom is all of there moves. At some events your opponent gets injured by somebody and you have to fight an unknown Person e.g "Unknown H". if you beat them you get some different moves like a scoop reverse ddt, plus all the moves are real wrestlers moves from other fed like WCW, ECW and Japan. Just go searhes for smackdown 2 sites on the web and you can find out who they are. Also The Season mode is not that bad it is just pointless when you skip a match, that it shows a pic of both wrestelrs and the energy bars go down .What is the point!

5-0 out of 5 stars The game that started it all... for me that is.
I've been a big fan of wrestling for pretty much all of my life, but I'd never really played any of the games. Well, I was over at my new friends house one day, and her brother was playing this game. I asked him if Trish was on this, and he said she was. Then I asked if I could play, and he said yeah. After this, we ended up becoming really good friends. I went out and bought this game a few months later, and it was always in my Playstation.

Now, onto the game. Sure, the graphics aren't as good as the SmackDown! games for PS2, but for Playstation, they're pretty damn good. You've got tons of Exhibition mode matches. Singles, tag team, hardcore, anywhere fall, handicap, King of the Ring, Royal Rumble, survivor, and special matches. The special matches are TLC, Casket, Cage, Hell in a Cell, I Quit, Iron Man, Ladder, Special Referee, Table, and Slobber Knocker. More then enough to keep you occupied for hours! You can also have title defenses in Exhibition, something you can't do in the next three :( Also, there are over 50 superstars to choose from!

There's also Season mode, where you can go through the WWE, and win matches, unlocking new superstars, create parts, and more along the way.

Then there's Create mode, one of the best things about the game! There's Create a Pay-Per-View, where you can host your own 10 match pay-per-view! The improved Create a Superstar mode gives you complete control over how you want your superstar to look, and is one of the best things about the game. You can also Create a Taunt, which allows you to create taunts for your created superstar to use. There's also Create a Stable, which allows you to form tag teams and stables, that have special entrances when they come out together.

The last two modes are Ranking and Belt Holder. All you can do is check who ranks where (which is determined in matches), and who holds the belt, how long they've had it, and the history of the belt.

So that's about all of it. By the way, once you get used to the controls, this game isn't as hard as you would think. So, if you own a Playstation, and you're a fan of wrestling, or any kind of game like this, you should buy it. You won't be disappointed! ... Read more

Their formula is simple enough--equal parts teenage humor and brattiness combined with infectious guitar hooks that just beg to be cranked up on the stereo. But with Take Off Your Pants and Jacket, the guys in Blink 182 may have delivered their best album to date, a punk-pop fusion that's so consistent you'll wonder which of the 13 tracks will become radio hits (any has the chance, really). Yes, as with Dude Ranch and Enema of the State, the songs here revolve around falling in love ("The Rock Show," "First Date"), falling out of love ("Online Songs," "Happy Holidays, You Bastard"), and plenty of other ways to kill time while away from school ("Reckless Abandon"). And yes, these guitar-driven songs all pretty much sound the same, but Take Off never gets boring. There's too much nervous energy here, too many slight variations in the arrangements, and too many hilarious lyrics that you won't want to miss. Parents may remember that the Buzzcocks used this same shtick in the late '70s, older siblings may remember that Green Day did it well not so many years ago, but Blink fans know that their band is more clever than anyone else playing today. The bonus tracks are throwaways, but that's OK--the threesome have given us plenty to bop our heads to here. --Jason Verlinde ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, But Not Really Punk
This CD shouln't really get five stars, but I just gave it one to make up for all the people who are trying to screw the rating. I would really give it a 3.5. Anyone who says the Rock Show is the best song is sadly mistaken. Most of the songs aren't even punk except for the first bonus track on the red/airplane version of the CD. Unfortunately, I got the green one.

Just because this CD isn't punk doesn't mean it isn't any good. It is less poppy than Enema and it has much better lyrics. Blink 182 actuall did a political song (anthem part II) on this CD.

Some of the better songs are: Shut Up, Please take me home, # 14 on the red CD, Online Song, and Happy holidays, you bastard. I think that 'First Date' will be another All the Small things. i.e. a poppy song that gets overplayed for no reason whatsoever.

This CD is ok, but if it's punk you really want, check out Dude Ranch or Cheshire Cat (if you don't arleady have them. Buddha- ...uh, it kinda sucks, because the recording quality is really crappy. Also go check out NOFX, Millencolin, Lagwagon, PennyWise, Bad Religion, and some of Offsprings stuff.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Blink CD!
Well there's only one thing to say about this album. And that is that it is great and kicks (edit). Probably the best blink album i've seen in years! Great songs, great humor, and great lyrics! Most of the songs are humorous and have pretty disgusting lyrics but what are you gonna do.
1. Anthem Part 2- Great song, kinda leads off of Enema of the State's Anthem, but not that much. But I have to say, Tom Delounge has a pretty annoying voice.
2. Online Songs- I have to say one thing about this, quit singing about love!
3. First Date- Great song but Tom needs singing lessons. (No offense)
4. Happy Holidays...- I'm not even gonna go there...
5. Story of a Lonely Guy- Pretty Good song, too mellow....
6. Rock Show- Great song! Weird Lyrics though!
7. Stay Together For the Kids- Great song with a great guitar riff. Strong lyrics and message.
8. Roller Coaster- Okay song, little bit of work needed.
9. Reckless Abandon- Great party song (Better than the real party song on enema of the state).
10. Everytime I look For You- Good Song from a great movie!
11. Give Me One Good Reason- Good rebel song but kind of annoying.
12. Shut Up- Good song.
13. Please Take Me Home- Good finishing track!
14. (Don't Really Know What It's Called, but guessing its either Hold On, or Dont Tell me That Its Over)- Pretty Good Song, for a bonus track.
15. When You (Edit) Grandpa- .......Who would talk about (edit)ing a grandpa!!!!!
14. What Went Wrong- Strong Message, good mellow acoustic.
15. The Dog Song- Well, it's plain and simple. They are just trying to say they wanna (Edit) a dog in the (Edit). Pretty funny though.
14. Time To Break Up- Pretty Good dating song.
15. Mother's Day- Disturbing...

So overall that album is great!

5-0 out of 5 stars Take Off Your Pants & Jacket....A Must!
This is an awesome cd! I'm a big Blink 182 fan, so don't diss the band! The cd has awesome songs, and some funny ones. This is one of my favorite cds from them (next to Enema), and has used up at least 6 batteries on my cd player from listening to it! Anthem Part 2: True, so very true! Online Songs: Hahaha! This is a sort of funny song, and it's good! First Date: Love it! Happy Holidays: xP Very funny! Short Story Of A Lonely Guy: Wow, this is one of my favorites on this cd The Rock Show: This one ROCKS! Stay Together For The Kids: Ooh, soo good and true! It's one of the "slowest" on the cd Roller Coaster: ^^ Very good! Love it! Reckless Abandon: 'On and on, reckless abandon Something's wrong, this is gonna shock them, Nothing to hold on to, We'll use this song to lead you on' Ooh, ^^ good! Everytime I Look For You: Not my favorite, not my least favorite Give Me One Good Reason: Hmm, very good! I like it, it's probably my 3rd favorite, it's true and it rocks! xP Shut Up: Hahaha, it's sort of funneh Please Take Me Home: hmm...good You have to get this cd, it rocks! ... Read more

WWE - Royal Rumble 2001
Average Customer Review: 4.39 out of 5 stars

Editorial Review

Of all the gimmick matches the WWF has created over the years, the Royal Rumble may be the most fun and captivating. The concept is simple: There's 30 wrestlers and one ring; two men start out going at it and every two minutes a new wrestler enters until there's only one man standing. But though the concept sounds easy, creating a wrestling match that will hold the attention of fans for over an hour is pretty tricky. With this in mind, the WWF added a prize for the winner that gave the Rumble added drama. Whoever survives gets a free pass to the main event at Wrestlemania and a chance to take on the WWF champion. Unlike most wrestling matches, where it's routinely easy to pick a winner, the Royal Rumble--especially the 2000 edition--is constantly difficult to predict. The 2000 Rumble is among the strongest in recent memory, mostly because of the pace, the outcome, and, yes, the dramatic, nearly evangelical play-by-play delivered by Jim Ross (yeah, it's all fixed, but JR gets your adrenaline pumping by the end of the match). What also makes this Rumble so exciting is the addition of four other matches, all of which complement the excitement of the main event. In particular the wars between Triple H and WWF champion Kurt Angle, and bitter Canadian rivals Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, are well executed and constantly enjoyable. Of all the pay-per-views of 2000, this may be the one to take home and cherish. --Dave McCoy ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars The build to WM X-7 begins.
The WWF started off their 2001 with a darn good PPV. Austin was returning and entered into the Rumble, as was the Rock. Unstoppable force + immovable object = good Rumble.

Tag Title - Edge/Christian vs. Dudley Boyz - Classic old-school match with E & C working over Bubba until the hot tag. Signature spots happen. Solid opener. ***3/4

Women's Title - Ivory vs. Chyna - Not much of a match. Chyna is "injured". DUD

IC Title Ladder Match - Chris Benoit vs. Chris Jericho - This is the blow-off for their yearlong feud. This also started the trend of having a ladder match on nearly every PPV. That got old. Memorable spots see Benoit going for a tope only to have Jericho SMACK him right in the face with a chair and a Liontamer on the ladder. Pure ladder goodness here, but the ladder gimmick was already getting old. ****1/2

WWF Title - Kurt Angle vs. Triple H - Both guys are kind heels. HHH was more heelish. In fact, this match was really just a backdrop for Stephanie vs. Trish. Angle does a pretty good job playing babyface for the first time. ***3/4

Royal Rumble - Decent Rumble with Drew Carey making an appearance and Haku, Honky Tonk Man, and the Big show all returning. Kane goes for a long time in this one. Great performance there. The highlight, though, is the Austin-Rock showdown near the end. ***3/4

In the End: Good Rumble PPV. Not as good as the 2000 version, but eons better than 1999 and even better than the 2002 Rumble. Recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars RRR (Royal Rumble Rocks!)
The movie is awesome!!!!! Here are the matches: Edge and Christian(champions) vs. the Dudley Boyz for the tag team titles. Chris Benoit(champion) vs. Chris Jericho in a ladder match for the Intercontinental championship. Ivory(champion) vs. Chyna for the Women's championship. Kurt Angle(champion) vs. Triple HHH for the WWF title and last but not least, the 30 men Royal Rumble. This Royal Rumble video is probably the best Royal Rumble ever. Trust me. You will like this movie. I figured out who won the WWF championship at WrestleMania 17 a couple of weeks ago but I don't want to tell you because when it comes out on movie on May 8th, you can watch that championship match. ( Not unless you watched WrestleMania on Pay Per View a couple of weeks ago. But I just want to tell you one more thing... This movie Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!! I want to mention one of my friends who loves this movie. My name is Michael Sweeney, and my friend's name who loves this movie is Patrick Grasso.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great opening pay per view for 2001
The 2001 Royal Rumble pretty muched lived up to the hype with some great matches and a awesome royal rumble match.

The opening match is the Tag Team Championship match between The Dudley Boyz & champions Edge & Christian. Suprisingly good match between two of the most successful tag teams ever. Get everybody hyped up for the pay per view. Next is a ladder match between Chris Jericho & Intercontinental Champion Chris Benoit. Could be the match of the night. Features some brutal hardcore moves like, Chris Jericho's chair shot to Chris Benoit when he's jumping out of the ring. Highspeed match between these two talented athletes.

The next match is Chyna vs. Ivory for the Women's Championship. This was on its way to being a pretty good match but ends with Chyna reinjuring her neck. Better than there Wrestlemania match but the ending is worse. The WWF Championship match between Champion Kurt Angle & Triple H, is an ok main event. Things get stupid when Trish Stratus & Stephanie McMahon Helmsley start having a chick fight in the middle of the ring. Match ends with Stone Cold interfering.

The Royal Rumble match was full of surprises. Here are some highlights. Jeff Hardy enters the match at number 1, with his brother entering at #3. Its fun to see the Hardy Boyz fighting. Also, the Honky Tonk Man makes a special appearance, as well as Drew Carey, Haku, & The Big Show who gives a vicious chokeslam to The Rock on the announcers table. Most people should be impressed with Kane on this DVD, as he was in the match for over and hour, and elimanted more people than anyone. Other participants inlcude The Undertaker, Stone Cold, The Rock, & Rikishi. ... Read more

Editorial Review

One of the most anticipated titles in PlayStation2 history absolutelylives up to the hype. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty is thefollow-up to one of the most captivating and intelligent adventures on the originalPlayStation. Solid Snake, everyone's favorite mullet-sporting supersoldier, isback, along with many other familiar faces and voices. While its predecessor waslauded for telling a complex story, this sequel has even more fascinating twistsand turns. Also, likeMetal Gear Solid,MGS2 takes console-game storytelling to an entirely new level withstunning in-game movies, great graphics, and game mechanics that let you findyour own solutions to challenges. The game's twisting and at times bizarre plotwill undoubtedly keep some gamers perplexed.

Konami has replaced the moronic enemies from the first MGS with morecerebral and capable foes; this causes an even greater emphasis on stealth thanthe original. The controls have been refined and Snake's repertoire of moves hasgrown, significantly deepening the gameplay. This is, technically andstylistically, one of the best-looking PS2 games on the market. The sound isalso topnotch, with a fabulous score and outstanding voice acting. What makesthis game such a standout, however, is how all of these sight, sound, and storyelements combine to immerse the player into an entertainment form somewherebetween movie and game. It will be years before Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons ofLiberty is surpassed. This is interactive entertainment at its finest.--Raymond M. Padilla

2-0 out of 5 stars Metal Gear Solid 2 should come with a free pillow...zzzzz...
There is no doubt this game has stunning graphics and amazing depth on top of a possibly great story, but there are way too many problems the game creators are responsible for that ruin the whole thing.

The biggest problem is the endless computer-animated movies and dialogue that will take up (and I'm not exaggerating) almost 50% of the time you spend playing. You don't get to play this game, you mostly just watch it. Everytime you enter a new room it seems like a movie starts up or you have to sit through a tedious and banal conversation on your radio. You can skip these, thank goodness, but then you feel like you're missing something.

These movies completely break up the rhythm of the game and takes you from falling asleep to suddenly fighting some superhuman boss. It's a great way to get to you forget the controls which are very complicated and not really logical as a matter of fact.

And I won't even get started on the bosses who are all poor X-men knock-offs. Really.

In summary: Overrated. Could have been sooo much better.

4-0 out of 5 stars A great yet confusing game
Let me start off by saying I have never played any of the Metal Gear series before this. That really didn't matter though, as facts from previous Metal Gear games did not need to be known to understand what was going on. The gameplay is simply this, you are given a mission that you must complete using practically any means necessary. Your weapons range from a sword to rocket launchers and guided missles. The story makes sense, but may become confusing near the end as you are not sure what is really happening to your character and what isn't. Although you don't spend much of the game playing as Solid Snake, he helps you complete your mission and gives you advice. The action is exxciting (and sometimes hilariously funny) as you guide your character through the mission. As for the graphics, they aren't cutting edge, but they look good and aren't very blocky (polygonal). The music changes depending on your location and alert status. Half the time you won't even realize there is music or background sounds because you will be too tied up in the action, but the music goes well with the situations it is played. The game isn't overly short, but it isn't excedingly long either. I finish teh game in roughly 10-11 hours. The only fault I found to bring it's rating down was the ending was more cinemas than it was gameplay and the plot was stretched too far. Metal Gear fans and anyone who likes action games should definately get Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty.

4-0 out of 5 stars It's one step below MGS one
Metal Gear Solid is sure a pure gem but It has a few flaws.
Lets get started shall we.

Now first of all. WHAT THE HELL IS RAIDEN DOING HERE. Alot of people had a problem with Raiden being in it. I'm not...I mean it's Metal Gear Solid For crying out loud! Metal Gear Ray is awesome. Not as good as Rex though....The plot was a little confusing at times and I was annoyed by the Kodec...ON AND ON...JEEZ when does Raidens Girlfriend NOT call.

Lets start shall we

The graphics are great. Very welldone. The Enivermont desighn is fantastic. Great job...

And this game is wayyyy to short...Takes about 5 hours to beat..It took me about 4 hours and 34 minutes..But I skipped most of the cutsences....And I hated the way the ending was...I would have liked it more if it was Snake Vs Ocelot in a metal Gear ray boss battle...More better from my opinion then Raiden Vs Abunch of Metal Gear Rays.

Superb..Music is great..

Overall Mgs2 doesn't quiet Match up to the Original MGS which Alot of people think is the Greatest Adventure game ever made...I think so to.

If the question...Is MGS worth buying the answer is..YES.
This game is still a classic and one of PS2's Stronger points.
Not as good as PSX's original Metal Gear solid but one step below. But MGS3 will be the best MGS ever!

So go out and buy this game if you really like MGS and don't be turned off by the game just Cause Raiden takes the place of the Legendary Snake who happens to be in the game for about 45 to 50 minutes...Still it's a great game...Haven't played Substance and don't on planning it either...

Overall it's a great game

Editorial Review

On their 1997 release, Dude Ranch, juvenile hardcore-pop band Blink 182 tickled the funny bone with an assortment of dumb sex jokes, off-color artwork, and between-song skits, including one of a dog drinking from a freshly peed in toilet. So, two years down the road, have the band matured at all? One look at the cover of Enema of the State, which features cover art of a tarted-up blonde nurse donning a rubber glove, provides the easy answer. Fortunately, Enema supports the humor with strong musicianship. The songs are more dynamic and multitempoed than those on Dude Ranch, sounding like a cross between the Descendents and Fountains of Wayne. And unlike the glut of alt-rock releases that offer one or two memorable songs, Enema is flush with instantly memorable melodies and ear-pleasing harmonies. Good, dirty fun--no more, no less. --Jon Wiederhorn ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Why Did Blink Have To Get TRL Friendly?
Anyone who has ever heard Buddha, Cheshire Cat, or Dude Ranch, before Blink 182 became famous, knows that Enema is a punk letdown. Great songs like Wasting My Time, M+M's, Dammit, are replaced by stuff like All The Small Things. It's not bad to get more fans, but when these new fans are 5 year-olds and girls that think Blink is 'cute', have they really succeeded all that much?. I mean, com'on, MTV turned the band around from being a snotty punk band into a snotty poppy/punkish band. Fame does not always mean progress, especially when it means letting down your group of core fans that didn't care about fame, looks, and appealing to everyone so that stuff actually gets radio friendly. Look at Good Charlotte and SR-71; now famous bands (thanks to MTV), but just more punk posers that look more like boy bands than rock bands. When you start hearing What's My Age Again? on a pop radio station, there's bound to be problems. Granted, the CD isn't all that bad, but it sure is a change from the norm. When Scott Raynor was still Blink's drummer, these guys were kickin' and could rock, and rock they did. When I heard The Enema Strikes Back though, I was disturbed to find that all the chearing from the crowd seemed like girly pre-teens. Again, more fans, but not what you'd expect, even if the live rendition of Dammit was awesome. Going Away to College is not a bad song, nor is What's My Age Again?, but they are more pop than punk. The Party Song, while being the fastest on the disk and having funny lyrics, still doesn't have much substance to it. Everyone hails Adam's Song as being the most serious song of Blink 182, which it is, and it's not bad, but if you think the band matured at all with this song at all, haha, think again. Blink 128 doesn't have to grow up at all, but I hope their next effort returns to their roots of a power punk band that plays for the fans and not MTV. If you want to get into Blink 182 without actually hearing their punk side, get this CD, like many of today's MTV lovin' youth have; you'll go nuts over it. But if you want to hear Blink 182's best, get their earlier stuff, with Scott Raynor, and hear what led up to the CD that brought about Blink's fame. They have the fame, they might have the money, but now it's time to take a break from that all and get down to music making better music. Since this is basically Blink's latest studio recording, tide over your appetite for punk with some The Starting Line, TAking Back Sunday, or Thursday, and hear what some awesome bands that don't get on MTV or pop radio sound like. Then ask yourself, is this CD Blink 182's best?

5-0 out of 5 stars More than just 3 chords!
Enema of the state is a highly catchy 90's punk album, which is much more radio friendly than early Blink182. Some may say they have sold out but they have reach a whole new audience with this record. I also feel their music has matured. Sure this album doesn't sound as raw as previous creations but there are still some classics. Mutt, Dumpweed and Whats My age again are my favourite songs but All the small things and Aliens exist are not too far behind.

Die hard punk fans my turn a head to this album but it still doesn't detract to a band producing something similar to Green day and Off Spring in the past. My favourite Blink 182 song is still Dammit but come on give the guys a break. They have produced an album with kick and punch with more than just 3 chord wonders. There is progression and maturity also.

Enema has a sound which will be heard on MTV and radio A LOT but who cares? Does that make it a bad punk ablum? Hell, All the small things reached number 2 in the British charts - before that they were unheard of - wider audience means more music fans being influenced - with fans of many genres.

This album doesn't wear off in a hurry and the catchy songs and riffs are a joy to hear.

Go Blink 182!

4-0 out of 5 stars 1 OF THE BEST PPVS OF 2000.
WWF NO Way Out was a very good WWF ppv.I would give it an 8/10 easy. The main event was Triple H vs Cactus Jack in a Hell in a Cell match for the WWF Title. If you like Hell in the Cell matches buy this video as the Hell in the Cell match is brilliant.Other matches include Chris Jericho vs Kurt Angle for the Intercontinental Championship, The New Age Outlaws vs The Dudley Boyz for the Tag Team Championships, Kane vs X-Pac in a No Holds Barred Match and a Wrestlemania Qualifying Match between The Rock and the Bigshow. OH YES MICK FOLEY'S CAREER IS ON THE LINE.

5-0 out of 5 stars No Way Out 2000
No Way Out was by far one of the best pay per views that I have ever seen.
One last chance for Cactus Jack to bring home the gold as he squares off against Triple for the WWF Title inside Hell In A Cell.If Cactus loses he will be forced to leave the WWF forever.
Who will face the champion at Wrestlemania for the belt as Big Show and the Rock fight for that right.
Kurt Angle the European Champion puts out all the stops against Chris Jericho in a match for the Intercontinental title.
The Radicalz= Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, and Chris Benoit , accompanied by Eddie Guerrero make their WWF debut against Too Cool and Rikishi Phatu.
Edge and Christian battle the Hardy Boys for a shot at the tag team champions at Wrestlemania.
Mark Henry defends the honor of his lover Mae Young as he faces Viscera in a Special Challenge Match.
X-Pac accompanied by Torrie tries to settle the score with Kane, as Kane tries to get even with X-Pac for taking Torrie away as they battle in a No Holds Barred Match.
Tag Team Gold on the line as the New Age Outlaws take on the Dudley Boys.
Tazz tries to settle the score with Big Bossman, but what happens when Bossman is accompanied by Prince Albert.

By far the best No Way Out I have ever seen.

5-0 out of 5 stars 5 Stars for the Hell In A Cell Alone!
No Way Out 2000

Intercontinental Championship - Chris Jericho V Kurt Angle
Nice opener, with cool moves including Walls Of Jerico and Angle Slam. 7/10

Tag Team Championships - New Age Outlaws V Dudleys
Pretty cool tag team match. At the end someone gets hit with a led pipe but I can't remember who. 7/10

Mark Henry V Viscera
Decent enough match. Mark Henry's wife May Young (who's like 70!) interferes which is funny. Mark Henry uses just a scoop slam to win which is a bit crap. 6/10

Hardy Boyz with Terri V Edge & Christian
This match was to get a shot at the tag titles at WrestleMania. The Hardys get screwed by Terri, but the match at WrestleMania is actually a triangle ladder match with these 2 teams and the Dudleys. Cool match. 7/10

Tazz V Big Boss Man with Prince Albert
The match ends by DQ after just 27 seconds because Albert interferes, which is a bit crap. However they keep on beating up Tazz and Boss Man even breaks his Nightstick over Tazz's head. 5/10

No Holds Barred Match - X-Pac with Tori V Kane with Paul Bearer
This match could have been better. they fight up near the entrance and X-Pac tries to climb it. Later on Kane Tombstones Tori. In the end X-Pac wins using the steel steps to keep Kane down for a pin. 7/10

Too Cool & Rikishi V The Radicalz W/Eddie Guerrero
An alright 6-man tag but nothing amazing. Benoit and Rikishi can both do far better. 6/10

Wrestlemania Qualifying Match - Big Show V The Rock
This was a pretty cool match, although pointless since the main event at WrestleMania becomes a 4-Way Elimination match. Anyway, they fight in the crowd for a bit and later the ref is knocked out. Shane McMahon returns and hits Rock with a chair allowing Big Show to pick up the win. 8/10

WWE Championship Hell In A Cell Match - Triple H V Cactus Jack
This is why I give the event 5 stars. An absolutely amazing match! They fight inside the cell and ring for a bit, using the steps and a chair. Later HHH busts open a section of the cell by throwing the steps. The fight outisde the cell and Cactus gets a 2/4 wrapped in barbed wire. HHH climbs the cell and Cactus follows. HHH saws Cactus's head with the barbed wire when Cactus was almost at the top of the cell and Cactus falls down onto the Spanish announce table. Later on, when they are both on top of the cell Cactus lights the barbed wired 2/4 on FIRE! and hits the Game over the head with it! Cactus signalled for a Piledriver on the fire, but HHH backdrops him RIGHT THROUGH THE CELL and then RIGHT THROUGH THE RING! Unbelievably Cactus gets up again, but Triple H wins with the pedigree. Both men were bloody by the end. This is one of the best matches EVER! 10/10 ... Read more

Editorial Review

With Grand Theft Auto III, Rockstar proves that not alldevelopers are concerned with toning down the violence in their games. Thissequel is even more bloody, violent, and sadistic than its popular predecessors, offering up an enormous 3-D city in which nearly any criminal act is possible.Players are free to steal cars, beat up the local population for their money (orweapons), make time with prostitutes, or simply roam to their heart's content. Those seeking more structure can embark on dozens of plot-driven missions orsteal cars that let them play minigames. Nab a cop car and you can go onvigilante missions. Grab a cab and you can play a deadly version of CrazyTaxi. Take a fire truck and you can earn money putting out fires. The gamejust never gets boring.

As in real life, there are consequences for your criminality. As your randomacts of mayhem mount up, the police start hounding you, eventually calling inSWAT trucks, the FBI, and even the army if you continue down the path ofdestruction. Shaking these pursuers is easily the most fun part of the game, especially when a bunch of friends are packed in the room to witness your narrowescapes.

Grand Theft Auto III is fine-tuned to near perfection in every category. All the vehicles, from slick sports cars to lumbering dump trucks, handleexactly as you'd expect and smash apart realistically when abused. The threeislands in the game are rendered in terrific detail considering their size, andare packed with traffic, pedestrians, and hidden jumps. The audio is equallyamazing. Pedestrians talk, cops scream at you, and you can tune in ninedifferent radio stations whenever you are in a car. It all adds up to amonumental achievement: the rare console game for adults that manages to geteverything right. --T. Byrl Baker

  • Offers an enormous world for players to exploit, rendered in staggeringdetail
  • Equally fun whether you go on plot-based missions or run around as afreelance crook
  • Ultraviolence, foul language, and adult situations mean you'll want to keepthis far away from kids

5-0 out of 5 stars Beat GTA3 bring on Vice City!!
Beat gta3 and it only took my forever! I really can't say how many hours I have put into this fabulous game, but I was definitely surprised on how many missions there are. I kept saying to myself "I've got to be getting close", but it just kept going. It amazed me that not only was there a lot of missions, but the missions were really well thought out and took quite a bit of unique strategy. It's possible for two different people to take on different methods for beating the same mission. After you beat the game you are still able to play, meaning you can save the game after you win and there will be no more missions for you to go on (your just left to have fun in the city). The music to this game is great. I've hooked up my minidisc player to the stereo and recorded some of the songs by chillin in a car with the radio on. Also when you beat the game and the credits role they play you a pretty good techno song as well. Now I just have to convert these nice sounds into mp3.

Couple things I have noticed that you may have not. There is a car out there that has hydraulics you can trigger by pressing L3 button or R3 (can't remember which). Second, one of the radio dj's name is DJ Michael Hunt. Why is that funny? Think about when Bart Simpson prank call's Moe's tavern.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Carjacking, Civilian Beating, Joy-Ride!!!
This IS whithout a doubt the best (not to mention most addictive) game I have ever played. It's just a downright, Carjacking Romp. If you haven't played this game yet, you MUST play this before you play it's sequel GRAND THEFT AUTO: SAN ANDREAS.

To be honest, I thought this game would be a terible game, Infact, I was avoiding buying this game. Man have I missed A LOT! Honestly, I's not that bad, to all of you "uptight" mom's. Ofcourse the premise of the game is to steal cars, but it's still very tame for it's mature rating.

Alright, first of all, the ability to just jump grab any car you want and just jump right in, is AWESOME, I mean it really doesn't matter, as long as it has wheels and doors, you can drive it. From Station Wagons to Stallions and Ambulances to Firetrucks.

When you're in a Firetruck or a Policecar can do these vigilante missions where you foil crooks, put out fires and rescue the injured.

In this game there are 3 islands you can travel and roam in, irst of all there's Portland which is pretty much the same as New York. You get you're street reputation in Portland.

Alright this game has it all, the violence, the story and even the hot chicks. And something that is really different is that the game is just enjoyable all the way through and you look forward to your next mission and you're always suprised and amazed by the bizarrely fun missions you have. From running away from the Triads is a Souped up Mafia car, to crrying a dead body to a car crusher, it's just all out F..U..N!

The story evolves very well, and goes up as you would expect it, you start out as a lowly guy and work for Luigi, a pimp (to certain rights) and then, as your reputation gets better, and word starts to spread on your feats, you get contacted by Joey, Toni Cipnelli and Diablo himself. Wow, I want to play this game even more now that i'm writing a review about it.

Oh, and the game has pretty much infinate replay value becasue of (1) it's length (by the time you beat it and star over again you won't remember most of the missions) and (2)Ther's just so much to do in between missions. From beating innocent civilians to "'Jackin' some sweet wheels" you can make a day out of it.(Honestly).

Graphics: 15/10 Great, really crisp and really responsive, from busting up a car to shooting people...it looks real alright!

Gameplay: 15/10 TONS of Fun, yet still simple. Of course it would deserve a 20, if you could crouch and commit drive by's.

Fun: 25/10 This is THE best game EVER (well so far) you get to run around and kill hookers and civilians, and get to steal cars...it doesn't get much better than this.

Difficulty: 10/10 can be a real "toughy at times", especially when you're trying to take down an armored car, while tons of cops swarm around you..it's a real nail biter.

Overall:65/40 what is there to say, just look at the total. haha.

Alright first of all, Buy this game, then play it and the first time you get bored of the game (about 12-18 months after you get it, research Grand theft auto San Andreas, it looks awesome.

This is esential to any teen's PS2 game library. It's really a lot of fun to play, no matter who you are. I mean anyone with a PS2 should and must own this game. Even the most "Uptown" people will find beating innocent civilians a lot of fun.

Buy it. Play it. Enjoy it.

Editorial Review

The Smashing Pumpkins' greatest-hits album, Rotten Apples, tracesthe band's evolution (or devolution, depending on your feelings about the band'sradical sonic shift in the mid-'90s) from its early days to its status among thekings of alt rock. For fans of the Pumpkins' beginnings as a tripped-outindie/art rock act, Apples opens with some of the band's strongestmaterial. "Siva" and "Rhinoceros" (from Gish, the Pumpkin's first--andarguably best--album) seamlessly mixed dream pop with noisy goth-rock as primeexamples of the Pumpkins' early '90s sound. Apples also showcases threestellar tracks ("Cherub Rock," "Today," and "Disarm") from Siamese Dream, the Pumpkins'breakout album. This disc makes the band's mid-'90s directional swing obvious, though, starting with "Bullet with Butterfly Wings," the aggressive alt rock/altmetal concoction released on Mellon Collie and the InfiniteSadness. Fans of songs like "Zero," "Tonight, Tonight," and "TheEverlasting Gaze" will be happy to know that pretty much every cage-rattling hitmade it to this disc, along with the previously unreleased dream pop track "RealLove" and an untitled new track (that sounds a lot like the SiameseDream-era Pumpkins) to round out the mix.--Jennifer Maerz ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Smashing CD
I was more than happy when the Smashing Pumpkins came out with a greatest hits record. The CD "Rotten Apples" comes complete with all of the classic Pumpkins songs from over the years.

From their first CD "Gish", you have the songs Siva and Rhinoceros.
From "Siamese Dream", you've got Cherub Rock, Today, and Disarm.
From the disc of B-Sides, "Pisces Iscariot", there is the cover of the Fleetwood Mac song, Landslide.
From "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", there is Bullet with Butterfly Wings, Tonight Tonight, 1979, and Zero.
From "Adore", you have Ava Adore and Perfect.
From "Machina/The Machines of God", there is The Everlasting Gaze and Stand Inside your Love
And two songs not released on Pumpkins CD's in the past but put on other soundtrack albums are Drown and Eye.

Some other bright spots are the two previously unreleased tracks that close the album, Real Love and Untitled. Real Love sounds much like the version put on the Machina II album, and internet release that many fans never got to hear. Untitled is a very strong track and a good closing track that has the radio-friendly sound the band masters at.

If you were lucky to get the Bonus CD of rarities and b-sides also known as Judas-O with your Rotten Apples disc, you will most definately enjoy the over 15 previously unreleased songs, that is just as good as the greatest hits disc and is sure to be a hit itself.

The Smashing Pumpkins have come a long way since their first album, and you can listen to the growth and change in sound over the years throughout this disc. It is well worth the money and even if you're not a Pumpkins fan yet or are thinking of giving them a listen, go with this CD, it is sure to be a favorite in your collection for years to come.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent collection but not their best album.
This is great if you want Disarm and Bullet With Butterfly Wings on one cd but I think Mellon Collie is still the best album to buy as your first Pumpkins album.Mellon Collie is a little pricey but worth it cause there are 2 cds.

4-0 out of 5 stars Still A Great Collection, But An Incomplete Collection.
First of all, I've got to tell you that I am a huge Pumpkins fan. I think The Smashing Pumpkins have been one of the greatest influences on rock 'n' roll. If you want to get to know who The Smashing Pumpkins are and the beautiful music they created together, then this is a great album for you. My only complaint is that, as a Pumpkins fan, I believe that this is a bit incomplete. This is my revised track list:

Disc 1:1991 - 1996

2.) Siva (from the album Gish)

3.) Rhinocerous(from the album Gish)

4-0 out of 5 stars Great way to start 2000
I will tell what I think of each match and special features by rating 1-10.

Tazz vs Kurt Angle - 4/10
This was a good match to start the PPV with. The only complaint is the match was slow. The ending was great.

First-Ever Tag Team Table Match - 10/10
Hardy Boyz vs Dudley Boyz
Awesome match. I can't say much more. This match was just incredible.

Miss Rumble Swimsuit Competition - 3/10
Rating brought down due to the ending. I almost puked.

Triple Threat Intercontinental Title Match - 6/10
Chris Jericho vs Chyna
vs Hardcore Holly
Pretty good match. Alot of high risk moves. The length of the match was perfect.

Tag Team Championship - 3/10
New Age Outlaws vs Acolytes
I didn't really enjoy this match.

Street Fight WWF Championship - 10/10
Triple H vs Cactus Jack
Great match. Too bad it didn't end differently, but still awesome match by the two.

Royal Rumble Match - 8/10
Great Royal Rumble. The best Royal Rumble Match I've ever seen.

Special Features - 7/10
I liked the HHH gets stitched up, Cactus Jack is back. The Rock vs Big Show, and Rumble Aftermath, Who won? I didn't like the past two Rumble look backs and Diva's in swimsuit. Again, The ending almost made me puke.

Overall - 7/10
Table, Intercontinental, Street Fight, Rumble matches were good. Tazz/Angle was ok and Swimsuit and Tag Team Title were just horrible. The Features were overall great with exception of Swimsuit and Rumble look back.

4-0 out of 5 stars Royal Rumble 2000 - Great Start for 2000
I will give you a review of each match and the Special Features on a scale of 1-10.

Kurt Angle vs Tazz - 6/10
Great opener!!!

Tag Team Table Match - 8/10
Hardy Boyz vs Dudley Boyz
Lots of High Risk moves here. Great Match

Miss Rumble Swimsuit Competition - 0/10
The Ending was probably the most sickning thing.

Triple Threat WWF Intercontinental Championship - 8/10
Chris Jericho vs Chyna vs Hardcore Holly
Good Match between these Superstars

WWF Tag Team Championship - 6/10

New Age Outlaws vs Acolytes
This match was way too short, but had action.

Street Fight WWF Championship - 10/10
Triple H vs Cactus Jack
Probably the best WWF Championship ever.

Royal Rumble Match - 5/10

2000 Royal Rumble
January 23, 2000
Madison Square Garden

Kurt Angle V. Tazz
Good Opener with Tazz just dominating with suplexes. Tazz wins by chokeout. So Angle should have one, but didn't. **1/2

Tables Match:
The Hardy Boyz V. The Dudley Boyz
Great first Tables match with some awesome spots. The Hardyz wins. ***1/2

Triple Threat Match of the Intercontinental Championship:
Chris Jericho V. Hardcore Holly V. Chyna
The title was vacant in my eyes. Jerihco & Chyna were co-champions. Late 1999 and very early 2000 made the Intercontinental Title look like a joke until Angle won it. By the way, Jericho won. **3/4

WWF Tag Team Championship:
New Age Outlaws (Champions) V. The Acolytes
Very short match, about 5 minutes long with the Acolytes killing the champs until X-Pac comes down and helps the Outlaws retain. Like X-Pac can beat up Bradshaw. Give me a break. *

Street Fight for the WWF Championship:
Triple H (Champion) V. Cactus Jack
Awesome fight, and i do mean, fight. Foley kicks the holy hell out of Triple H bu Triple H retains the Championship and what a performance by both men. Give them alot of credit. ****3/4

Royal Rumble Match:
I think it's one of the most boring Rumbles ever. The Rock wins it even though he didn't. I could of told you that right after it happened. **

Overall, a good Rumble, it could have been a little more entertaining. The Rumble match was lacking big names. A *** star Rumble. It would be lower if not for the Street Fight, Mick and Hunter's performances, & the Tables Match. ... Read more

Editorial Review

When longtime Sega mascot Sonic the Hedgehog made his debut on the Dreamcast console in Sonic Adventure, gamers were stunned. Sega had not only used the game to show off the tremendous possibilities of the then-new hardware, but they had reinvigorated the platform-style arcade adventure genre with massive, intricate levels, gleefully distracting minigames, and even a new kind of virtual pet, called a Chao, that could be combined with other pets, traded with friends, and even exchanged over the Internet. Sonic Adventure 2 ups the ante of its predecessor with all-new puzzles and levels, and even faster action reminiscent of the early Genesis-era games. Knuckles and Tails are back, as are the Chao pets (who can now talk!). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Sonic games of all time
With my purchase of my Dreamcast I also bought the game Sonic Adventure. I have to say Sonic Adventure 2 is a huge improvement over Sonic Adventure and doesn't have as many flaws.

Sonic is mistaken for an evil Hedgehog named Shadow who has been spreading danger across the world. The military and all police units are after Sonic and you need to escape Sonic from them and avoid them in many of the levels.

There are many fun modes you can play in: Story Mode, Kart Mode and Chao Raising Mode. Story mode is the main game. You can choose to play as the Hero's (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles) or the Dark villains (Shadow, Rouge and Dr. Robotnik).

Kart mode is just like Mario Kart games for the Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. You unlock Kart racing after you complete the first 9 stages. You can play in one player or two player and race as Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, or Dr. Robonik in 3 different courses.

Raising a Chao can be frustrating sometimes, but it is also fun. You teach your Chao to do new things while being nice to it, but trying not to spoil it. This mode gets old after a while though.

The levels in this game are amazing. Each level includes different missions that get more challenging as you get deeper in to the game. The graphics are very realistic and when the spins and jumps Sonic does look very smooth. The gameplay is a lot better than Sonic Adventure.

Sonic also has new abilities to grind on rails, and swing form vines and bars. And there is also a newer helper Chao named OmoChao who gives you hints in each level.

Sonic Adventure 2 is loaded with secrets to unlock. If you get All 'A' rankings in each of the levels many great secrets are unlocked. Also, getting all 180 emblems is very rewarding. There are many other secrets to unlock as well.

There are only two minor flaws in this game. The camera angles don't always show the direction you want to see and you can't play just as one character like you could in SA1.

Overall this is my favorite Sonic game ever and the best Dreamcast game that I have ever played. Sadly, it is the last Sonic game to be on a Sega console.

5-0 out of 5 stars Sonic Adenture 2, great game
This is one of my favorite Dream Cast Games. It has good graphics, but when they talk it's like wacthing a Japenese Godzilla movie being translated into english.

You may be either the Dark or Light with each differnt levels and story line. The characters you get are Shadow, Rouge, Dr. Robotink, Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.

You also unlock SoundTracks you can listen to in the Options menu. I never really pay much attention to this though.

My favorite thing in this game has to be the Kart Racing Feature You unlock in the Tails and Rouge chase level.

This is also for two players too.

You can also get new objectives in the level you beaten in the extras menu.

Overall this is a cool game you must buy it when you get the chance.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Game is a 100% Definite Buy!
I hope this reveiw will be good to anyone who is thinking about buying this game. This was my first gamecube game I ever got, and i still play it. One of the best things about it is that there is always something to do, whether it is trying to get all "A"s on the stages, still trying to finish up Dark or Hero mode, then there is the whole thing with raising chao. But the game has a good storyline, and you can play from the dark charcters point of veiw ( Dr. Eggman, one of the only times you can play him!, Shadow the Hedgehog, like the oppesite of Sonic, and Rouge the Bat, someone which does the same thing Knuckles does in the game,) or the hero charcters (Sonic, Knuckles and Tails). The soundtrack is good and graphics are also very good. But going through raising chao is a whole nother story. You transport to Chao World, and you hatch an egg, and give animals and Chaos Drives found in the level. The change drasticly and start to be better at certain things, I won't say some of the things that can happen, and make the chao look cool, but a hint is, unless you want a neutral chao, try raising it with only one side of charcters, hero or dark. That is the great thing with Chaos, you can never beat that part of the game. I hope my reveiw was worthwille for Sonic Adventure Battle 2. ... Read more

Issues are one thing Korn singer Jonathan Davis has in spades. On the quintet's fourth album, Davis spews forth about misery, hate, happiness, pain, paranoia, and other primal issues, all set to an appropriately dark soundtrack. From "Dead" (which begins with Davis's trademark bagpipes in a sort of choral musical setting), to the first single, "Falling Away from Me," the vocalist's quavery, edgy, manic delivery sets the tone for this 16-song outing. Not as modern sounding or melodic as 1998's Follow the Leader, Issues is a throwback to earlier, more metallic Korn. If possible, Issues has an even creepier vibe than its three predecessors, thanks partially to eerie guitar lines and vocal effects, especially potent on "Let's Get This Party Started." Twisted, cohesive, and epic, Issues comes through for Korn's fans, who relate to the band's cathartic musical exorcisms and aggro, bottom-heavy rage, commercialism be damned. 5-0 out of 5 stars Almost all Songs are Good! (NO RAP!)
This was my first KoRn album and is one of my favorites. I've had this cd for about 4 years now (since it came out). There are 16 tracks on this album and only about 4 are bad. Some of my favorites are "Somebody Someone", "Wake Up", "Counting", "Dirty", the hit songs and more! If you want to get into KoRn buy this cd, don't buy Untouchables...! You won't regret buying this so just buy it or die. TIME Magazine says this album is so great "If you know someone who doesn't like it, KILL THEM!" Rolling Stones Magzine says "Possibly more perfect than GOD!"... well they didn't say that I just got that from MAD TV when it was making fun of the show "Felicity". HAHA! MAD TV is a funny show, you should watch it sometime.

Some other bands I like: Ozzy/Black Sabbath, Metallica, Slayer, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Static-X, Rob/White Zombie, Disturbed, System Of A Down, Tool,...(stay away from Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park!)

5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT
if only for the slow grooving end of somebody someone this cd is worth my money but i love it from start to fin. falling away from me rocks. this is a masterpeice from begginning to end. i love 4U with its slow beat and jonathon not screaming but the words are so filled with ache. lets get this party started is another gem. what can i say, this album is pure perfection. hard and heavy with the usual korn flavored groove we love and know korn for.
alot of people think korn sold out because they got very melodic but i say screw that. we want melodic so top 40 holds some GOOD music. korn is evolving/has evolved/will continue too evolve and this is another step for them. this to me is their BEST ALBUM (but i love all their stuff) filled with jonathon's twisted lyrics on top of fieldy's funky bass and davids always stellar drumming. add to that the twin attack of munky and head's guitar assault and you have a winner

4-0 out of 5 stars Good, but not great.
"Issues," Korn's fourth album, is my fifth favorite Korn CD of the six, but that doesn't make it bad at all! "Issues" is, in my opinion, the darkest of all their CD's. It's not the heaviest, but the entire album has a dark, creepy feel to it. The only thing I don't like about "Issues" is all the 1 1/2-minute-or-less interludes throughout the CD, some of which would have made great songs if they were only longer. My reviews of each song are:

1) Dead (9/10): This is one of the two good interludes. The bagpipes are great.

2) Falling Away From Me (10/10): Great guitar riffs and vocals. One of the best songs on the entire CD (probably my third favorite).

3) Trash (9/10): An O.K. song, but it gets old after a while. The guitars are good. This song is pretty creepy and dark.

4) 4 U (6/10): Too short! If it was longer, it might have worked.

5) Beg For Me (10/10): My favorite song on the CD. Great drumming and vocals, and I really like the opening guitar riff. Nice lyrics.

6) Make Me Bad (10/10): My second favorite. This song is good all around. Great guitar riffs.

7) It's Gonna Go Away (5/10): Another interlude. You can't even understand what Jon is singing.

8) Wake Up (8/10): This song is pretty good, but it's not really one of my favorites. I like the chorus.

9) Am I Going Crazy (9/10): The shortest but the best interlude with good vocals. If this was the ONLY filler on the CD, "Issues" probably would have been my favorite Korn CD of all.

10) Hey Daddy (7/10): I used to really like this song, but it's gets really old, really fast.

11) Somebody Someone (10/10): Great opening guitar riff, great vocals, and a good, creepy chorus. This song is really dark. My fourth favorite song.

12) No Way (8/10): Good guitar riffs, but nothing really stands out on this song. Another dark song.

13) Let's Get This Party Started (9/10): This song has the best chorus of any on the CD. Nice vocals.

14) Wish You Could Be Me (5/10): Another short interlude. It sounds kind of cool.

15) Counting (9/10): My fifth favorite song. The bass and guitars are really good, and the vocals are excellent.

16) Dirty (7/10): I love the first minute or so, but then it just goes downhill from there, and there's four minutes of just static at the end. It's a pretty good closer though, but you kinda expect a bonus track after all that static.

OVERALL: 131/160, 82%

"Issues" has some some great songs, and the only thing wrong with it is the fillers. It's still an excellent CD, and I would recommend buying it. ... Read more

Pay-per-view events are the bread and butter of pro wrestling. At nearlythree hours, they're like monthly Super Bowls and surrounded with the same typeof hype and drama. Fully Loaded captures the entire July 2000 event thatwent down in Dallas, Texas. Part of enjoying pro wrestling is understanding thesoap opera that revolves around each match. If you're already a fan, nobackground is needed. But if you're just getting into pro wrestling, FullyLoaded does a decent job of summarizing the events leading up to all eightmatches. There's also plenty of backstage "acting" and shenanigans to get thecrowd fired up--like Chris Benoit destroying WWF champion the Rock's wardrobe orKurt Angle trashing the Undertaker's motorcycle (never touch a man's threads orhis ride!). The action inside the ring is as enjoyable, with a triple main eventlikely to please all WWF fans. The Last Man Standing match between Triple H andChris Jericho is sufficiently bloody, while the 30-minute championship matchbetween the Rock and Benoit is exhausting to watch. Not much is different here:hardcore fans will love it, while critics will still be shaking their heads indisbelief. --Dave McCoy ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A solid pay-per-view
As far as pay-per-views go, 2000 was a very solid year for the WWE. Another great PPV that you can add to the list for 2000, is Fully Loaded. The show was well rounded for the most part with 5 out of 7 matches being enjoyable. The best match of the pay-per-view, and one of the best of the year, was Chris Benoit vs The Rock for the WWE title. Benoit and The Rock had suprisingly good chemistry together considering the fact that Benoit is much more technically sound than The Rock. Another excellent match on the card was Triple H vs Chris Jericho in a "Last Man Standing" match. Both Jericho and Triple H were at the top of their games in this one. The Undertaker vs Kurt Angle was a little short for my tastes, but the match was still satisfying because of how the feud had been built up. It was very funny seeing Kurt trash The Undertaker's motorcycle. The two other stand out matches in my opinion were Val Venis vs Rikishi in a "Steel Cage" match for the IC title, and the European title match between Eddie Guerrero and Perry Saturn.

Overall, Fully Loaded was a very enjoyable pay-per-view. The majority of the matches on the card were fun to watch, and all of the performers involved put on a good show. If you are a WWE fan, I highly recommend picking up Fully Loaded 2000.

A solid 5 stars...

this was a good ppv.i give it a 9/10. it might be the best wretling event.almost all the people i wanted to win won. These are the matches:1.hardy boys and lita vs tna and trish stratus 7/10. 2.alsnow vs tazz 7/10. 3.edge and christan vs a.p.a 8/10. 4. eddie gurereo vs perry saturn7/10. 5.val venius vs rikishi, steel cage match 9/10. 6.kurt angle vs the undertaker 9/10. 7. triple h vs chris jerico, last man standing match 10/10 8. the rock vs chris benoit, wwf title 9/10.

5-0 out of 5 stars One Of The WWF/WWE's best PPV's
Nearly every match was good on this one! Even the weaker bouts had memorable moments in them. The opener was The Hardy Boyz & Lita Vs. Test, Albert (now known as A-Train) & Trish Stratus! This is one of the best mixed tag team matches I've ever seen. From a male standpoint, I have to say that Trish was looking hot in hot pink! Not much from a wrestler standpoint though she's improved greatly in that area since this match. I think this was Lita's big break as a figure in WWF as well.

Eddie Gurrerro Vs. Saturn was average at best. Disappointing since both men are great performers. TAZZ Vs. Al Snow was more of a display for TAZZ and his skills. Rikishi Vs. Val Venis wasn't good except for seeing Rikishi splash Val from the top of the cage! That made the match for me!

The triple main event pretty much lived up to expectations in my view. First, The Undertaker (in his American Badass form) Vs. Kurt Angle. This was pretty much a squash for UT though you see flashes of the greatness we would see later on from Angle. Not bad.

Next was Triple H Vs. Chris Jericho in a Last Man Standing match! I still watch this match as this is when "The Game" put on great matches (though lately he has been getting back to that form and I am glad)! Jericho was great in this as well! Lots of blood so if you are squemish, don't watch!

Now, The Rock Vs. Chris Benoit was a pleasant surprise! I love the Rock but even I'll admit that Benoit is superior in terms of technical wrestling but The Rock kept up with him pretty well! The false ending with Mick Foley was a nice touch as well as The Rock (barely) held onto the WWF Title after it looked like Benoit had won!

Overall, its worth the money. WWF/WWE PPV's were generally good throughout 2000 but this one was one of the top five in my view! ... Read more

Jet Grind Radio

Editorial Review

In Jet Grind Radio, you play a whacked out kid who's completelytorqued off about the system. It seems that the city of Tokyoto is not terriblykid-friendly and wants to keep things neat and pretty. You, the skater punk, figure that the only way to rebel is with your inline skates and a couple ofcans of Krylon. That kind of attitude can lead to trouble when you're in thereal world; but, in the world of Jet Grind Radio, there are no paintfumes, and it's all done in the name of fun and scoring points.

Jet Grind Radio's gameplay has some of the feel of Crazy Taxi. Asyou skate, you see little floating arrows that indicate where you should go (andwhere you should be tagging). Also, like in Crazy Taxi, the pace of thegame is absolutely nonstop. There is moving traffic in the street, and nearlyeverything can be jumped, hopped, or ground. Underscoring all of this action isa DJ at the local hip-hop station, who spins cool tunes while you tear up LittleTokyoto.

The game starts out with a training course that's designed to bring you up tospeed. Pay good attention to this section; it teaches you the basics, and you'retested on one of the lessons right away. Learning how to hop over obstacleswhile keeping a rail grind going is particularly helpful.

After graduating into the real game, you have the option of going it cool oreasing up and figuring out how to do the flips, splits, and other midair anticsthat make this game so much fun. Once your skating skills are set, you'll learnthe spray-can side of things. You pick up cans of paint as you maneuver around(keep your eyes open--some cans are placed in those hard-to-reach places, sothat you'll have to catch serious air to get them). After securing your fill, use the left trigger and the analog to spray as you pass by areas that have beenindicated by the arrows.

The game's tunes are right on schedule. Much of the Japanese soundtrack has beenretained, with new tunes rounding out the selection. The new playlist additionsgive the game that special flavor that U.S. audiences crave: Jurassic 5, MixMaster Mike, and Rob Zombie, to name a few.

Much about Jet Grind Radio has "classic" stamped on it; but, of course, liking it or not liking it will be up to the individual. With its freshcharacters, cool design, great music and audio, and high replayability, JetGrind Radio is likely to lodge itself into the library of many a Dreamcastowner. --Todd Mowatt

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best games ever released on Dreamcast
If you have been looking for a while for another good Dreamcast game to add to your collection, look no further. Jet Grind Radio is one of the best Dreamcast games ever. The first things you will notice about the game is its graphics. Sega made Jet Grind Radio the first cell-shaded game ever created. Another nice touch is the funky music they play while you're playing the game.

The story behind this game is great. The city Tokyo-to is under control by four spray-painting gangs. The GG's (you're gang), Poison Jam, The Noise Tanks, and The Lover Shockers. Your goal is to wipe out Poison Jam, The Noise Tanks, and The Love Shockers. However, the police force in Tokyo-to has had it with all the graffiti all over the walls of the city, on buildings as well as on cars and buses. The police force is willing to do anything to capture you and your gang.

The object of the game is simple, yet extremely fun. In each level you skate around, collect spray paint cans, find the red arrows and spray paint your tag. But you must be careful and pretty skilled to avoid the cops, tear gas, dogs, missle-launching helicopters, and even tanks. This makes the game much more challenging and will often leave you dead before being able to complete the mission. After you beat some of the levels you will often be challenged by rivals to show off your skills. Other times later in the game a few punks will want to join your gang, but for them to join you have to be them and copy what your gang's members do.

This is definitely an awesome game with tons of replay value. If you never had a chance to pick this one up for your Dreamcast, you don't know what you're missing.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great concept with decent execution
Jet Grind Radio is yet another impressively creative title to come out of Sega (which is why I'm so fond of Sega), and definitely rates as a success.

The concept is simple, you skate around towns, tagging (spraypainting) certain objects while evading police officers, police dogs, rockets from helicopters, and other baddies. The animation style is really what cements the experience as being something out of the ordinary, though. Dubbed "cel-shading", the end result is something that looks very much like a cartoon. It's really beautiful to watch as well as play.

The gameplay is fun, but has some problems. The first, which likely everyone has addressed, is camera control. There are 3 unused buttons on the controller, and the developers still decided for some unknown reason to double up controls. It's annoying, but you learn to live with it. The other issue that bugs me is that you're constantly on the run from police with no real defense other than fleeing.

One other problem I have is with the menu system. When you boot up, you're given the choice of starting a new game, playing a tutorial, or loading an existing file. However, once you have a game in play (through creating a new game or loading), you have to reboot the system to load another. This is really a patently ridiculous feature and particularly annoying if you like alternating w/ a friend but keep seperate game files.

One other note I should make is that the worlds may seem smaller than they were described by other reviewers at first. I was pretty aggravated and disappointed for a while until I got far enough that I was actually given the opportunity to skate more or less freely without worry of harassment by police, etc.. It's a bit into the game, but worth noting if you get discouraged.

All in all, Jet Grind Radio is still a fantastic game, and definitely a game to get for the Dreamcast. There are minor points that really should have been taken care of, but other than that, a solid effort.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great graphics, sound and repeaitive gameplay all in one
Fun for a while but got boring when you realise that its the samething over and over and over. A little more variety and some 2 player options would have made Jet Grind Radio a lot better.

Yet again the curse of many Dreamcast games has hit...its only fun for a while, no lasting appeal or repay value. ... Read more

The splicing together of nu metal, rap, funk, and sterile electronica laced with dark melodies as infectious as anything Britney has to offer inspired 6 million people to purchase copies of Limp Bizkit's Significant Other. With Chocolate Starfish, they perfect their formula. From the electro-infused "Intro" through the contagiously chugging "My Generation" to the straight-up rap of "Getcha Groove On," Chocolate Starfish is a slick, clinical, and flawless platform for Fred Durst's effortlessly savage--and occasionally unintentionally comic--sociological rants geared toward disaffected youth. Ultimately, though, it's that undeniably intelligent musical backdrop--the brooding guitar sound that gave the Mission Impossible 2 theme haunting new life and menace, and that defines "Hot Dog," "Full Nelson," "My Way," "Rollin'," "Boiler," and "It'll Be Okay"--that makes this a seething work of genius. The fact is, with rap and rock saying pretty much the same thing, Limp Bizkit have plenty of competition. They just do what they do better than everyone else. --Dan Gennoe ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Limp Bizket has lost their touch
The best Limp Bizket album of all time is by far 3 dolla bill. All following albums have been mediocre and satisfy nothing more then the pure MTV neo hardcore audience that want to be with the "in crowd" at junior high school. Just attend a Limp Bizket concert and you will see amazingly young people running scared from the mosh pits with wild eyed fear. Lord knows they then go home to tell their friends that they had "a BLAST" at the show, "moshed the entire show" and "almost got into a fight with a two ton gorilla." The CD does show some effort however with catchy guitar work and reasonably decent mixed backbeats, but thats about the extent of it. Fred Durst is in with the whole Carson Daily, Kid Rock, Eminem TRL crowd that everyone seems to love today. In other words Durst is the Christina Aguilera of hard rock/rap core and it was quite fitting to see them together on stage at this years MTV Video Music Awards. If you want a truly innovative CD I recommend Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory, any Deftones CD, Taproot - Gift (Fred Durst doesnt much like Taproot for some reason *shrug*), or any Pitchshifter cd. Hope this helps.

3-0 out of 5 stars I dunno about this one
There is no doubt that this album will have heads banging all over America and from what I have seen, the UK. The band have selected to smash out a heavier more metal sound on many of these tracks, ie. full nelson, hot dog and rollin' (air raid vehicle). Any Bizkit fan will love these. They have also put in there mellow but heavy bass tracks, ie. livin' it up, my way, and the one. However, the lyrics to these tracks stay typically Limp, rapping and singing about how damn f'ing good they are at partying and rockin'. Now i am not against this but maybe a change in lyrics might be nice. But my main complaint of this album is there move into DR. Dre type rap, not what Bizkit are about at all, no better example than 'getcha groove on', which is very cheesy and typical. Almost gangster rap.

My main worry about Bizkit is their future. It is plainly obvious that they are goin' to sell out. I bought this album in a supermarket alongside the new Spice Girls CD. Not what i would expect. BIZKIT, FOR THE REAL FANS, PLEASE DON'T SELL OUT.

5-0 out of 5 stars the best limp bizkit album ever!!!!!!!!!!

In a constant effort to try to outdo every pay-per-view event that'scome before, the WWF put itself into a bit of a catch-22 with the 2000 installment of Armageddon. On the positive side, they concocted one hell of a main event, a chaotic match so enormous, potentially bloody, exciting, and superstar-packed that you can actually admire the company for trying to give its fans something new. For starters, they gathered up the six biggest names in the Federation--the Rock, Triple H, Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rikishi, and then-champion Kurt Angle--and threw them into one single match. They then topped it off by making it a Hell in a Cell match (a fancy, ominous term for what old-school wrestling fans remember as a steel-cage match), which meant that the action would include a lot of blood and several bodies flying 20 feet through tables, steel, etc. The WWF definitely delivers on their promise, as the six-man Hell in a Cell match is frantic and entertaining from start to finish. However, the downside to putting all of your top wrestlers in the ring at one time means you have about two and a half hours left to fill. Of the seven remaining matches here, only the Last Man Standing match between high-flying Chris Jericho and masked monster Kane even comes close to equaling the excitement of the finale. But that main event just about makes up for all the filler you should fast-forward through to get to it. --Dave McCoy ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great way to end 2000
Armageddon was definately worth the purchase. However, most may say that this ppv was a bit dull, due to the low amounts of action involved. What really gets this event my high ranking is mainly the historic six man Hell in a Cell for the WWF Championship. A great match, and the most entertaining of all listed on the card. The other great matches are the European Championship battle, and the four corners Tag Team Championship. The matches and review for each are as follows:

1. Inter Gender Tag Team Elimination Match Hardy Boyz & Lita vs. Eddie Guerrero, Dean Malenko & Perry Saturn

A great match, but a predictable ending.

2. European Championship Hardcore Holly vs. William Regal

Definately better than their match at Survivor Series. One of the top of the night. Features interference from Raven.

3. Chyna vs. Val Venis

Absolutely the most stupidest and dullest match on the card.

4. Last Man Standing Chris Jericho vs. Kane

A good match, but way too long. Kane really seems kind of weak on this contest. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.

5. Four Corners Tag Team Championship Edge & Christian vs. Bull Buchanan & Goodfather vs. Road Dogg & K-Kwik vs. Dudley Boyz

Although it may upset some for Edge & Christian's victory, it was probably one of the best matches of the year, but doesn't contend with the TLC match at Summerslam.

6. Intercontinental Championship Billy Gunn vs. Chris Benoit

Alright match, but not one to sit through again.

7. Triple Threat Women's Championship Molly Holly vs. Trish Stratus vs. Ivory

Typical Women's title match. Nothing special. Ends quick.

8. Hell in a Cell WWF Championship Kurt Angle vs. Triple H vs. The Rock vs. The Undertaker vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Rikishi

Undoubtedly one of the greatest matches of the decade, though it did lack alot of blood and damage.

Even if you didn't like this ppv, you should get it anyway for nostalgia. They will probably never have these kind of matches again, so it's worth the price. Overall, a great way to end 2000.

3-0 out of 5 stars WWF Armageddon 2000
This was not one of the better shows of the year, the people who say that are crazy. I own every WWF ppv from 2000 and Armageddon is not the best, but its not the worst. That belongs to KOTR. Opening match- Hardyz and Lita vs. Radicalz- good choice for opener, but the match wasn't long enough. It gets **1/4. Next was Hardcore Holly vs. William Regal for the European title. This match is alot better than their match at Survivor Series, **1/2. 3rd was Chyna vs. Val Venis-match gets *1/2, nothing special from either. 4th is Kane vs. Chris Jericho in a last man standing match. **, this nothing like HHH-Jericho from Fully Loaded. Next is Bull and Goodfather vs. Edge & Christian vs. Road Dogg & K-Kwik vs. Dudley Boyz for the tag team titles- entertaining match, ***. 6th is Chris Benoit vs. Billy Gunn for the intercontinental title- pretty bad for a Benoit match, but obviously it wasn't his fault being stuck with an idiot like Billy Gunn, **. Womens title is next as Ivory defends against Trish Stratus and Molly Holly- boring match, but what did you expect, *. Main Event- Hell In A Cell, Kurt Angle vs. Rikishi vs. Triple H vs. Undertaker vs. Rock vs. Steve Austin- match is very long (around 32 minutes) and entertaining through most of it. Its definitley the match of the night earning ***3/4. This match is NOT match of the year though. As for the tape, buy it for the history of the main event if your a WWF fan because they will probably never do it again.

4-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Hell in a Cells in a while....
This was a great PPV! GREAT MATCHES!

AND THE BEST HELL IN A CELL in a while....

I mean when you think of all the HIAC we've had...
HBK vs Undertaker
Undertaker vs Big boss man...
Mankind vs Undertaker
Cactus Jack vs Triple H...
Kane vs Mankind
Triple H vs Jerico..
Brock Lesnar Vs Undertaker
Kevin Nash Vs Triple H
And the upcomming Triple H vs HBK match..

This match really does make you think that "Hey this is one of the best!

I thought This Hell in the Cell was one of the best but not "THE BEST"

The rest of the matches were great!
Especially The KANE/Jerico match! That match kicked ass!

This was one of the best PPV's of 2000...

As the style of professional wrestling on TV has changed, so have thevideo games. Gone are the days of simple bouts between two men in tights.Wrestling is now a violent soap opera full of plot twists, romance, andintrigue. WWF Smackdown! Just Bring It accordingly contains as much storyas it does action. The game features more than 40 WWF wrestlers who participatein 70 types of matches. Superstars like "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, andKurt Angle are joined by characters like Stephanie McMahon, Fred Durst, andTajiri. Special matches include Falls Count Anywhere, Royal Rumble, Last ManStanding, and TLC (Tables, Ladders, Chairs). Plus there are plenty of secretwrestlers, rings, and matches that can be unlocked, adding to the replay value.

Gamers familiar with the controls of the Smackdown series will feel right athome. The game plays largely the same, with some additional moves and finishers. While having familiar and responsive controls is definitely a good thing, thegraphics should not be too familiar on a next-generation system.Unfortunately, the game's character models haven't progressed much from thePlayStation version. However, the improvements in animations and ring entrancesare fantastic.

The biggest flaw in the game is the commentary by Tazz and Michael Cole. Thereare several instances in which the commentary is disjointed and unnatural, andit often fluctuates severely in volume. This is a shame, as the announcers are abig part of pro wrestling's storytelling. Despite this problem, WWFSmackdown! Just Bring It packs more than enough quality gameplay and varietyto thrill any WWF fan. --Raymond M. Padilla

5-0 out of 5 stars Smackdown! Just Bring It Review..
I managed to be one of the few that got a demo of Smackdown! 3 and I must say I was very impressed, despite a few glitches. The wrestlers move more fluently, able to do more reversal, and you can beat the (stuffing) out of the ref! (Especially nice for all you Bret Hart fans). This is almost as close to WWF as any games have gotten! You can leave the ring and fight up on the stage, or in the crowd (Although the crowd is 2 dimensional). You can get two Smackdown moves for people like Angle and Rock, the music now is more authentic (With Limp Bizkit Undertaker song in it FINALLY!), and the graphics are very sharp and clear. There are a lot more options of fighting (Such as Tag Team TLC match), and I can't wait to do the Roaming Mode, where you can seek out Earl Hebner and take on the Hardcore Champion anytime during the game. Definitely not perfect (WWF Raw for XBox looks better)and it had some noticable glitches but Smackdown! Just Bring it is a LOT of fun, possibly the BEST wrestling game ever (But no Rob Van Dam).

4-0 out of 5 stars What? What? What? What?
As a big fan of both the WWF, and as an avid fighting gamer, Smackdown! Just Bring It! is possibly the best WWF game to date. I have played almost every WWF wrestling game that has graced the Playstation and N64, including Warzone, Attitude, No Mercy and Wrestlemania, and this one simply reeks of awsomeness. I was very very pleased with Smackdown 2 for PSX when I first got it last year around this time, and I was truely hoping this game would live up to my expectations. It did without a doubt. Unlocking the different cards in the game just keeps bringing me back to the game, and really adds to the game's replay value. Create-a-character modes are just so indepth, that I often find myself spending hours just building up a single character, tweaking them just perfectly so they look exactly how I envision them. The only thing I was disappointed with though was the lack of seasonal play and prolonged story line. The game's main selling point for me was that it promised more indepth story. I loved the story mode in Smackdown 2, so I was expecting more of it, though perhaps more linear. Unfortunately, while it is more linear, it is not very long, and you do not play whole season. You will play two 'TV' shows (RAW, Smackdown) then will go on to a pay-per-view in a title match. Then assuming you win the title, your story is now comprised of endless title defenses with no actual plot elements, or screw jobs, or anything one would expect from the WWF. However, that aside there is enough in the game to keep any die-hard wrestling fan, or fighting game fan, interested and captivated for hours.

4-0 out of 5 stars 3RD to SEQUALS

Editorial Review

Most remix albums are irrelevant or just plain awful. Fortunately, Limp Bizkit's first remix album is neither. But with high-profile remixers drawn mostly from the hip-hop world, there's not much room for error. Timbaland adds a dark industrial edge to "Take a Look Around," P. Diddy amps up the bass line on "My Way," while Butch Vig's version of "Nookie" has a decidedly 1980s electronic flavor. Best of all, though, is the Neptunes' take on "N2gether Now." Its flowered-up, old-school hip-hop presentation makes it the cheeriest thing Fred Durst's ever been involved with. In fact, the only people who don't seem to have a handle on the remixing task are those in the band: DJ Lethal's efforts--with the exception of an energetic "Counterfeit"--are irrelevant, while Durst's "Faith/Fame" remix is just plain awful. Maybe they should stick to churning out the raw material that's sold millions of albums, and leave the remixing to the professionals. --Ted Kord ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Limp Bizkit has nothing on RATM!!
I heard that MTV gave Limp Bizkit the award for rap-metal over Rage Against The Machine. Those judges ought to be thrown into garbage compressors!! Anyway, Limp Bizkit is probably the worst band of all time!! I heard their music and it sounds absolutely terrible!! Die Fred Durst die!!!! Limp Bizkit sucks RATM rules!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars a real fan
first of all i dont even have the CD but any Cd by Limp Bizkit is good. So for all the people giving it 1 out of 5 stars are really stupid because they say they are one of limp bizkits fans but a REAL FAN would like all of their CD's

1-0 out of 5 stars I've heard better from limp bizkit
If you campare this cd to their other cd's, then this one sounds like a lot of crap. If you don't want to take my word then you can spend 15 dollars on a load of what should have been better. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Includes the greatest match of all time, HELL IN A CELL!
WWF King of the Ring 1998 was a very solid PPV. It is nothing short of breathtaking, and it will have you on the edge of your seat. There won't be a dry pair of pants in the house. The matches are: 1-Headbangers&Taka Michinoku vs. Kaientai 2-X-Pac w/ Chyna vs. Own Hart 3-Al Snow&Head vs. Too Much, Special referee: Jerry "the king" Lawler. 4-Tag Team Championship: The New Age Outlaws vs. The New Midnight Express. 5-SEMIFINALS OF THE 98 KOTR: Ken Shamrock vs. Double J Dan"The Beast" Severn vs. The Rock 6-FINALS OF THE 98 KOTR. 7-Hell In A Cell: Undertaker vs. Mankind(these two superstars really gave us a heck of a performance.) 8-First Blood match for the WWF Championship: Stone Cold Steve Austin(*-Kane agrees that if he doesn't win the WWF title, he will set himself on fire and breathe his last breath)

4-0 out of 5 stars Truly Amazing
The 1998 King of the Ring was absolutely phenomenal. There is a double main event, featuring Steve Austin defending his World title in an entertaining First Blood match against Kane. There is also the now infamous Hell In A Cell match pitting Mankind against The Undertaker. Whatever price you are being asked to pay for this video, it is worth paying it 10 times over to witness the greatest, most gutsiest, most amazing, most death-defying, most unbelievable performance in the history of wrestling, from Mankind in that match. If you don't become a wrestling convert after witnessing that match, nothing will convert you. As for the other matches, the match of the night comes from the high-flying, fast paced bout between Owen Hart and X-Pac. The reason I gave this video four stars and not five was that I felt that the two KOTR semi-final matches, Jeff Jarrett vs. Ken Shamrock and The Rock vs. Dan Severn, were both over before they could get any momentum happening, although they were decent matches while they lasted. Nevertheless, the tournament final (I won't tell you who makes it in case you don't know), with HHH sitting at ringside as a guest commentator, was a decent match that turned into a thrilling contest at the end. Elsewhere, the New Age Outlaws defend their World tag team titles against Jim Cornette's Midnight Express in a fairly lacklustre bout (the only really tedious one of the evening), The Headbangers team up with Taka Michinoku, who were then all still babyfaces, and go up against Kaientai in a mildly entertaining six-man tag to kick things off, and Al Snow teams with Head, yes, you heard me right, Head, to face Too Much with a surprise special referee! I have every single KOTR event on tape and this was undoubtedly the best one. Well worth the asking price.

5-0 out of 5 stars Foley Is God!
1998 King Of The Ring
June 28, 1998
Pittsburgh Civic Arena
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

The Headbangers & Taka Michinoku V. Kaientai
Pretty good opener with alot of action. Taka & Bangers win. ***

Semi-Final Match in King Of The Ring Tournament
Ken Shamrock V. Jeff Jarrett
Ok match with Jarrett dominating until Shamrock locks in the Ankle Lock and Jarrett very quickly taps. **

Semi-Final Match in King Of The Ring Tournament:
Dan "The Beast" Severn V. The Rock
Ok match. I remember this match being better, but it wasn't really that good. Rock wins. *3/4

Al Snow & Head V. Too Much
Actually a good match with Too Much winning when they pinned Head (never thought I would ever type that)**3/4

X-Pac V. Owen Hart
Great match with a great ending. X-Pac wins. ***3/4

WWF Tag Team Championship:
New Age Outlaws (Champions) V. The New Midnight Express
Pretty good match with alot of action in it. Outlaws retain. ***1/4

Finals of the King Of The Ring Tournament:
Ken Shamrock V. The Rock
Alot better than their WrestleMania match, but not as good as their Royal Rumble match. This time Shamrock actually wins. ***1/2

Hell In A Cell Match:
The Undertaker V. Mankind
The wrestling part of the match sucked, but Mick Foley is God. A easy ***** match of Foley's performance alone

First Blood Match for the WWF Championship:
Stone Cold Steve Austin (Champion) V. Kane
Good match which is a lot better First Blood Match than the one Austin and The Undertaker were in. Kane wins his first and only WWF Championship! ***3/4

Overall a pretty good show. I would have loved to see Kane hold the title a bit longer than a day and Foley's performance is legendary. A ***** King Of The Ring, however, not as good as the 1993 King Of The Ring, which is the best King Of The Ring ever and some say the best Pay-Per-View ever. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Dreamcast fans have been waiting to come off the top rope for quite sometime, and now they have their chance with WWF Royal Rumble for theDreamcast. Last year's WWF Attitude title for the Dreamcast was mediocreat best, as the characters moved like robots and the control was verycumbersome. WWF Royal Rumble changes all that, with excellent animationand solid controls. This is a perfect translation of a concurrent arcade standup(so save those quarters for more important things--like laundry!).

Nine characters can fight it out in the ring at any one time, making this game ashowcase for the power of the Dreamcast. The action turns into quite the meleeas over 20 of your favorite WWF superstars (the Rock, the Road Dogg, Kane, D'LoBrown, the Big Show, for instance) take to the squared circle in a battle ofepic proportions.

Like its arcade cousin, the Dreamcast version features controls that are easy tolearn and a breeze to execute. One button is used for attacking, another forgrappling, and a third for pinning, running, and climbing the top rope. Use thedirectional pad when tapping the buttons to determine which special move youwill perform on your opponent. A double button press during a match causes yourpartner to toss in a concealed weapon, do a run-in attack, or maybe even performa double tag-team move on your opponent.

Each time a wrestler takes damage or delivers a special move, his or her specialmeter increases. Once the meter is filled, an S appears next to themeter. The letters allow signature moves to be executed, or they can be used toescape or hold a pin. The more Ss you have, the more power you have in amatch (you can save up to five of these important letters).

The single-player mode gets old quickly, but add two or three of your friendsand this game becomes amazing. For some, WWF Royal Rumble will be abutton-mashing masterpiece. --Todd Mowatt

  • Up to nine wrestling characters at a time

3-0 out of 5 stars A fun WWF game, but...

I purchased this game when it was actually released right here on Amazon, and I'll tell you what I thought of it after a week of playing. It's a fun game. It looks beautiful. Probably the best looking wrestling game I've seen. The power of Dreamcast really shows here. I wish THQ would have actually thrown in some wrestler intros, since those would probably look nice on DC, but they didn't for some reason. The wrestlers just start out in the ring and do a pose or something, similar to the Ready To Rumble games, but without the trash talking or funny lines.

When they say it's "Arcade-like", they're not kidding! This game is NOT as deep as Smackdown or Wrestlemania 2000. There is no create-a-wrester, season mode, cage matches, special ref, or any of the wonderful features that made those other THQ games great. There are only about 20 wrestlers in this game. If you love lots of modes in wrestling games, then you'll be disappointed here. There are only two modes in Royal Rumble. Yes, 2.

Exibition: You pick a WWF superstar and go through 10 (quick) matches with random superstars, until you win..... nothing?

Royal Rumble: Pick a WWF superstar, and wrestle in the 30 man over the top battle royal. Since there are only about 20 wrestlers in the game, guys you have eliminated will return. The only good thing here, is that 9 guys can be in the ring at once - which is a first for wrestling games, but can be really confusing at times.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a game like Smackdown - with it's create-a-superstar mode, season mode, and all the extras, then you'll be disappointed in Royal Rumble. If you're looking for a fun game you can toss in and have a quick match or two with a buddy, then you'll probably like this game.

2-0 out of 5 stars Fun for 2 Hours
I bought this game while I was cruising around Wal-Mart, It was a new WWF game for Dreamcast which i immediatly thought was awesome. Me being a WWF enthusiast and a big fan of Wrestlemania 2000 I thought what the hell and picked it up. This games high point is the 9 man royal rumble where 9 people are in the ring at once instead of the usual 4. But only being 20 playable characters (the game is missing a lot, 2 cool, Dudleys, Cactus Jack, Blackman, Crash etc.) you will definitly see Rikishy in there about 5 times, it gets repetitive INCREDIBLY fast. Maybe fun with 4 people. So then I tried the ONLY other mode, Exhibition, yes there are no create a player options, there are no match rules and no arena changes. Exhibition may be entertaining til you fight the incredibly hard not very exciting last wrestler (Vince or Shane...big whoop...). So you go through hell to beat them and ooo you get the credits...... In way of graphics, the lighting is sweet but the wresters look like smooth textured Smackdown wrestlers. The control system is the same as Smackdown and it can be quirky at some times. Dont waste your money and wait for No Mercy because thats gonna be awesome. This game seems like it was pushed out of the woodworks incredibly fast.

2-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY! RENT!
This is not a very Good Wrestling Game...NO mercy for the N64 was the best..get that..

This game is very dull...the controls are alright but a bit clunky..I though it was fun for about 1 hour..Very bad Dream Cast game...AND THERE ONLY WRESTLING GAME...But that doesn't really matter since Dream Cast has some of the Best Games ever made..

This game just plain sucked...Don't buy it...

Later... ... Read more
