5-0 out of 5 stars Totally Hysterical!
Okay, this is about the funniest cd I've ever heard.I particularly like "Oh where is my hairbrush."However, since there is a bunch of talking in this cd, it may not be as much for toddlers as something else like the Wiggles. It doesn't hold the attention of my toddler, even though he LOVES watching veggie tales videos. If you've had a very bad day at work, just pop in this cd and boy, do things of this world fade away in laughter!

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST CHILDREN'S CD
We received the Silliest Songs Countdown Video as a gift and loved it so much we had to buy the CD for the car.We love the songs almost as much as our 2-year old.We play them all the time. Our friends (with or without children) who hear the songs usually buy or download the music b/c they like it so much.

Although Veggie Tales usually have Christian messages, these songs are applicable to anyone of any race or religion.

I recommend this for anyone with kids looking for some new fun music. It is definately not your 'typical' children's CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars Not ashamed to sing along....
I bought this CD with reservation as it was our first children's musical purchase.I hate to admit that I love the songs almost more than my 20m daughter. We both enjoy this CD during our shared commute and I can't wait to find more like it!

Silly songs is right, but they're tolerable for adults too.If only I could get them out of my head.... ... Read more

    Editorial Review

Had a couple of salad vegetables performed Sunday-school songs in our day the way they do here, we parents might have made it through the weekly churchgoing ritual without the regular reaming by our own moms and dads. Delivering the between-song dialogue and cartoon shenanigans that keep kids from drifting off are Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, who whoop it up from the first track with wah-wah guitar effects, loopy lyrical improv, fellow VeggieTales guest vocalists, and a smattering of big-band swing. A kids' choir provides the starch that saves Sunday morning from becoming a beta-carotene bomb. While Bob twists his tongue around mouthfuls like "the mighty messiah that manifests miracles" in "Down in My Heart," for instance, the kids keep pace for at-home singers, who'll follow suit. Similarly, the child crooners carry on without so much as a snicker as Sgt. Larry barks out "Gimme 20!" in "This is My Commandment" and chimes in with a wacky "No way!" during the "Don't let Satan blow it out" verse of "This Little Light of Mine." The originals "God's Way," "Love Your Neighbor," and "I Believe God Can" capture hummable, child-size chunks of morality, complementing traditionals like "He's Got the Whole World" and "Jesus Loves the Little Children." And once Joshua fights the battle of Jericho and we've washed up in a river of peace, this record swings into section two--the split-track rerun (without the veggie character commentary). Cue it up at the crack of dawn as a pre-service snooze-prevention device--ironically, in Bob and Larry's vitamin-rich hands, church songs become less boring broccoli and more crunchy Cheetos. --Tammy La Gorce ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Fun, fun, fun!
This was a baby shower gift and I can't say for sure yet whether my son likes this one (he's all of 7 1/2 weeks) but I do!It makes feeding time and diaper-changing a little more fun for Mom at least right now and I hope he'll enjoy these crazy versions of fun Sunday School songs when he's a little older. This is a good one!

5-0 out of 5 stars fantastic!!!
I gave this to my three year old son for his birthday, and he absolutely loves it!His favorite song is "Jericho."He learned the songs in no time, and he enjoys listening to them on long car trips. This is a wonderful CD for preschoolers!

5-0 out of 5 stars What a Great way to Teach Sunday School songs!
This is such a great cd.My little one constantly asks for his "new" cucumber cd, meaning this one.He loves "This Little Light of Mine," and it gets played repeatedly. At first I didn't care much for the children's chorus in the background, but now I'm used to it and we all sing together on car trips with this cd.It's pretty funny hearing Larry talk about brushing his teeth, his eyebrows, etc. every morning and hearing him sing his "gettin' up" song. These guys make learning fun and it's even more fun for the parents.I've not laughed this hard for quite some time since buying these "cucumber" videos and cds and I hope there's more to come! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Songs, fun and hilarious
My daughter loves to listen to the Veggie Tales. We bought 5 Fun Songs first and then this one. She sings along with them, as do myself and her father. This CD made my husband and I crack up.

4-0 out of 5 stars Very nice CD
This is a very nice traveling CD.However, I could have done without the "ease on down the road" song from "The Wiz."The words are pretty inappropriate for young toddlers and I really don't want to teach that type of stuff to a young child.Other than that one goof-up, the rest of the cd is just great. If they want to introduce Broadway to the younger set, I wish they would have picked something with "cleaner" lyrics.Hearing Archibald Asparagus singing "Surrey with Fringe On Top" is just plain funny.Great tunes otherwise!

5-0 out of 5 stars Five stars from a non-fan
Let me qualify this review by saying that I don't really care for the Veggie Tales (for religious reasons). So when my friend bought this CD for my boys for Christmas I wasn't very thrilled.

I must admit now that I do enjoy this CD.There aren't any of the softened up bible stories they have in their videos, just fun kids songs and funny dialogue between the songs.

The dialogue, in particular, parents will enjoy. All typical things kids say while driving in the car. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Classic Hymns for a New Generation.
It's kind of sad but with all the new "modern" worship songs being sung in the Church, many of the classic hymns of faith are being forgotten. Well, thanks to a quirky movie by two very strange filmmaking brothers, the American church is "rediscovering" these hymns.

O VEGGIE, WHERE ART THOU? takes it title from the movie with a similar name that had the best-selling, Grammy-winning soundtrack consisting mostly of old time Gospel songs and hymns. Taking its cue from that album, the songs on this album are classic hymns, but with a little Veggie twist. "I'll Fly Away" and "Amazing Grace" are both here, but my personal favorite is "Ezekiel Saw the Wheel".

Great album for kids, for people who like older hymns, or for a Veggie Tale fan.

5-0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!!!
This is a fantastic CD!My 1.5 and 4.5 year olds both LOVE to listen to this one.I love it because it is a fun, entertaining way for them to learn all the "old time" hymns that I grew up on - my 1.5 year old is already trying to sing along and my 4.5 year old has already learned several of the songs in just the week we've had the CD. It is very well done, very engaging to the little ones, and I really enjoy the hymns myself. This one is a winner all the way around!! ... Read more
