5-0 out of 5 stars Listen to OneDay every day!!!!
OneDay was much more than an event. For those of us who were there, it was a blessing. Many tens of thousands of people were at Shelby Farms in Memphis, TN. And each and every one of us has a story to tell about it.

"OneDay Live" is a glimpse into the main time of worship that took place on the morning of May 20, 2000. I say glimpse because only 12 of the praise & worship songs are included on this CD. But when you listen to it, you can feel the meeting of the Holy Spirit that took place this day.

One of my favorite moments from this time of worship was the live connection that was made with a gathering of Christians in Botswana(sp?), Africa. During the song "We Fall Down," we were taught how to sing the song in their language. I really cannot even begin to describe the feeling that was flowing through the place during that time. But at least a little of it has been captured on this CD.

Although this album cannot even begin to come close to taking us back to where we were that day, it is a great way to help us remember. Even for those who were not there that day, this is one of the best praise & worship CDs that could possibly be added to your collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars AMAZING!
This is juat an awesome cd - definently worth having!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great worship!
Passion Oneday has been such a blessing to me! I enjoy every song and can have my own personal worship with some of my favorite songs. It's probably my favorite CD and I own about 30 other praise and worship albums. The passion worship leaders all have CD's of their own which I have and love like Charlie Hall, David Crowder, and Chris Tomlin! No hesitation buy this CD! All the passion Cd's are good but this one is the best! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is my favorite worship CD!
This CD has some stunning moments. Stand out songs include, "Salvation", "Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?", "Jesus, Lover of My Soul" and "Break Our Hearts". There really is not a bad song on the CD. I also have the CD "Sacred Revolution" and think it is rather flat compared to this one.

I love this disk. I absolutely recommend it! I will definitely be buying more Passion music!

5-0 out of 5 stars On the right road!!!!
Released in March of 2000, this praise & worship CD was a prelude of what to expect at the OneDay gathering that was scheduled to take place two months later.

Every song on this CD was a part of the main praise & worship gathering on May 20, 2000, and a few of them are included on the "OneDay Live" CD that was released a few months after the event.

Most of the praise & worship songs on this compilation were, at the time, considered to be the favorites of the "286 generation." Many of these songs are staples in today's contemporary churches.

Released before the wave of praise & worship swept through the Christian music industry, it is still one of the best. A must have for anyone looking to build a collection they can use to meet with the Lord.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great album, but not best Passion CD
Overall this is a strong album with studio versions of many songs found on other Passion CDs.I like the variety presented, but think it lacks some of the energy found on the other Passion CDs.Songs that stand out as the best on the album are "Make a Joyful Noise", "Kindness", "We are hungry", and Matt Redmon's version of "Did you feel the mountains tremble?".

If you own and like other Passion CDs you will enjoy this one also.If you do not own any Passion CDs I recommend that you purchase "Passion: Better is One Day" first.Lastly, if you are new to Christian music, any of the Passion, or Revival Generation CDs can give you a glimpse of awesome current praise and worship music. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars I love this CD
Out church loves this CD we are a non-Denominational church. We are more modern the most churchs we sing worship music like this. Our praise band sings 8 out of 10 of the songs on this CD it is Great!!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best P&W CDs
This CD has on it "Amazing Love" which is the quintessential worship song.It perfectly describes what happened at the Cross and the entire message of the Gospel and God's love for us.This CD is worth that one song. But, in addition to that, this CD has other great songs like "Better is One Day".This CD rocks and glorifies God.Get it.><>

5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best Live Worship CD's -- very uplifting
This is definitely one of my favorite praise/worship CD's.Charlie Hall and the other worship leaders on this CD are higly gifted and anointed, which is evident when listening to every track. The worship music is upbeat and very uplifting.

My favorite songs on this CD are "You're Worthy of My Praise," "Better Is One Day," "I've Found Jesus," and "Agnus Dei."The pastor at the church I attend has incorporated these songs into the praise and worship service; he has been singing them for some time now.His version of "Better Is One Day" is amazing.Any of these songs (as well as the other songs on this CD and other Passion CD's) would be valuable additions to praise/worship services.

This is definitely a worthwhile addition to your Worship Music collection. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Powerful worship CD
I really enjoyed this CD (along with all the other Passion albums).Although I graduated from college over a decade ago, I truly appreciate the style of worship music that this CD represents.I think this style is much more contemporary and powerful than many recent Christian CDs.

This album has some very popular modern Christian worship songs like "I could sing of your love forever", "Did you feel the mountains tremble", and "Every move I make".But it also includes some other songs like "You alone", "Sweet Mercies" and "The Vision" which are just as inspiring.

I recommend this CD to anyone looking for powerful modern Christian worship.I also encourage older Christians (like myself) to buy the album and give it a listen. It may give you some fresh inspiration for your worship.I know it has mine.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great praise music...

This is an excellent album, and it comes in a close second to "Better is One Day."The praise is personal, not overdone or too repetetive. This is the type of CD that I enjoy listening to alone, so that I can really sing to God.Many of these songs are on other albums (Delirious, Matt Redman, other British praise CDs), but they are well done here and make for a smooth collection.

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't let the untitled tracks fool you
I love the CD, in particular track 26.Don't be fooled, however, by the listing of tracks 14-25 as untitled hidden tracks. They're all blank. It looks like they did it to push out a reprise of I Will Exalt Your Name to track 26 as a way of highlighting the 26 (Isaiah 26) in 268 generation.I would buy the CD again, but I was hoping to get those extra tracks - kind of like the bonus songs on the WOW CDs. ... Praise and worship collections are quickly becoming morecommonplace, but few match the songwriting and performance excellenceof this 25-song, 2-disc (one studio, one live) passionate celebrationthat spotlights artists such as Sonicflood, Delirious (namelyMartin Smith), Matt Redman, Passion, and Darrell Evans. Studiohighlights include the brilliant title track from Sonicflood, "TradingMy Sorrows" by Evans, and "The Heart of Worship" by Redman and Smith. The emotional strength of this release is captured better through itslive disc and tracks from Passion ("Better Is One Day," "You're Worthyof My Praise"), Benton Brown's "Lord, Reign in Me," and Redman's "Shoutto the Lord." High-caliber musicianship, clever songwriting, andimpassioned vocals span the borders from start to finish on thisrelease, all the while validating this genre of Christian music ascapable and moving. --Michael Lyttle ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Uplifting
This collection is absolutely wonderful.Whether you listen to this in your room or in your car you will feel uplifted and relaxed after listening to this album. Both the Live and Studio CD's are well balanced with a variety of songs and artists. This makes a great gift for others.I would highly recommend this to everyone.

5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful
I love this album thanks to sonic flood. Before this album I did not know they existed. I wish SF sang every song. The lead singer's voice is so amazing!

5-0 out of 5 stars I could sing these songs forever!
Released in August of 2000, this 2-CD disc contains some of the best praise & worship songs written to date. Compiled by various artists, including SONICFLOOd, Matt Redman, Delirious?, and Passion, this compilation has one studio recorded disc and one live disc.

Because of the nature that is praise & worship music, the live disc is, by default, the better of the two discs (though I actually like more of the songs on the first disc).

If you are looking for a praise & worship album you can use at home to help you to sing to the Lord, this compilation is one of the best you can get. ... Read more

Editorial Review

In the afterglow of capturing a Dove award for "Rock album of the year" with their southern-rock grinder Time, Third Day has now stepped in line with the worship movement and released Offerings: A Worship Album. Interspersed among five new songs, this album contains several live concert tracks, including the favorite "Your Love, Oh Lord."Even though the new songs demonstrate Third Day's superior creativity and talent, the live tracks are the forte of this project. The undulating dynamics exhibit the band's unity as they work together to create a singular response to the Savior. As well, some of the tracks incorporate the sound of the worshiping audience, adding a congregational feel to the album. The lyrical content is similar to that of songs from a typical Sunday morning service. But these traditional expressions of faith are given new life by the resonating fervor of Mac Powell's lead vocal style. Third Day is known for being uncompromisingly God-centered with their music. This project uncovers that quality to its most extreme degree. --Israel Button ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding
Offerings is one of the greatest albums that I have ever heard. It is energetic and powerful. It has great music and superb vocals. On top of that, Mac Powell's voice is amazing.

This collection starts off with 'King of Glory' which is an awesome worship song.

It is followed by 'These Thousand Hills' which is my personal favorite. It is a recognition of the self evident nature of the Creator's handiwork.

'Your Love Oh Lord' is a simple praise song that was inspired by Psalm 26.It is excellent.

Next comes a version of Michael W. Smith's 'Agnus Dei' - Beautiful.

'Saved' is Third Day's rendition of the Bob Dylan classic. It is a song with great lyrics and a fun sound.

Another one inspired by the Psalms is next with 'My Hope Is You'.The title says it all.

'You're Everywhere' is another great song with some amazing harmony.

A song that really speaks of the Lord's mercy is next in 'Thief', which is about one of the criminals that was crucified next to Jesus.

'Consuming Fire' is really a prayer set to music.

The group sings a Third Day original hymn in 'All the Heavens'.It is very different from the other songs on this album, but very nice.

'Love Song' describes what the Savior has done for all of us.It is an amazing conclusion to an incredible album.

There is also one hidden track if one listens long enough after 'Love Song' ends.

This album is just fantastic. If you don't have it, you are missing something very special.

5-0 out of 5 stars wow
What can I say?Third day is my favorite. The songs in this Cdare awsome. They usher you straight into the presence of God. I never get tired of hearing the songs over and over again and they still have the same affect on me.If you want to draw closer to God especially during your quiet time, put this Cd on, WOW.Such an annointing!I thank God for THIRD DAY.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Different sounding Worship Album
At the time this album was released there were tons of artists putting out the same sort of thing - praise and worship albums. As with any trend, certain offerings (no pun intended) rise to the top as the cream of the crop.Third Day's Offerings: A Worship Album is definitely one that rises to the top.I have found myself getting into the music and praising God on the highway on the way to work, in front of the computer, on the way to the grocery store and many other places.Isn't that what we're calling to do?We're called to pray without ceasing - singing praises to God is a way of prayer in mind as it's thanking Him for saving us.Listening to this cd will get your foot tapping and raise your spirits. It's worth every penny. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing debut that says Third Day is here to stay
I first picked this up on a suggestion from a friend when it was first released. It was my first real experience with southern rock and I liked what I heard enough to put it on while cleaning and doing other things in the extremely small apartment I had at the time.I wasn't really into Christian music at that time so I didn't pay much attention to it until I stopped and listened closely to "Thief".The music itself is what got me to stop what I was doing.Once I listened to the words I was changed.I started listening to the rest of the lyrics and was equally impressed. This cd is a classic.By it without hesitation.

5-0 out of 5 stars A true Christian music classic.
Third Day's self-titled debut remains one of Christian rock's truly classic recordings. From Mac Powell's soulful vocals to the guitar duo of Brad Avery & Mark Lee, to the rhythm section of Tai Anderson (bass) & David Carr (drums), Third Day consistently hits on all cylinders throughout this album. My overall favorite song is "Thief," about the repentant thief crucifed next to Jesus. Other noteworthy songs include "Love Song," "Consuming Fire," "Blackbird," "Nothing at All," "Take My Life" & "Praise Song." Of all of today's Christian rock bands, Third Day is my overall favorite (as well as one my all-time favorites). In addition to being great musicians and songwriters, they also have a tremendous heart for ministry. God has blessed them richly for their hard work, and their music constantly reminds me of how truly blessed I am in my daily life.

5-0 out of 5 stars This album is good. Very good.
I bought this CD after having already purchased Come Together and Time. I realized that their music reminded me a lot of the good ol' Southern rock I'd loved as a kid (Bob Seger, Lynard Skynard) but had an unmistakeable message about the faith that I try to live by. When I listened to the song "Thief," I was absolutely mesmerized. And Consuming Fire was like a balm, albeit a rockin' balm, after having felt so torn up by Thief.

As for the reviewer who did *not* like Third Day and wonders what's "with" people liking them -- since TD's voices are so grainy -- all I've got to say is, if you don't like "grainy" then go listen to Steven Curtis Chapman or Fernando Ortega (I love both of them, too, BTW. They're amazing.). Third Day has a sound that is full, lively, and fun. But even more than that, their lyrics are thought provoking, solid, and absolutely without reproach.

Lovin' this band! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great sophmore album
Third Day stays away from the dreaded sophmore slump in this disc.It wasn't as commercially sucessful as their debut album I feel mainly because they've changed their music style.Their debut album was more southern rock while this disc has a more grung-ish feel. You make me mad is a great rock tune that is sure to impress. As usual the lyrics are great making overall appeal of the album top notch. For those who are familiar with Third Day's southern rock style this may take you a listen or two to get used to the sound but I think you'll like it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Strong sophomore album.
In 1997, Third Day followed up their self-titled debut with "Conspiracy No.5." "Conspiracy," produced by Sam Taylor (the man who discovered, managed & produced King's X and Galactic Cowboys),maintains some of the band's Southern Rock sound they had become known for ("Have Mercy"), but also ventures into other musical territories like grunge and alt-rock. Some have criticized 3D for trying to sound like Pearl Jam on this album, but I for one applaud them for trying to do something different. My overall favorite song is "Gomer's Theme," taken from the Old Testament story of Gomer, the unfaithful wife of the prophet Hosea (Hosea 1-3) and the unconditional love shown by her husband. Other noteworthy tracks include "You Make Me Mad," "Alien," "Have Mercy," "My Hope is You" & "Your Love Endures." "Conspiracy No. 5" is a great album, and an important part of the history of one of Christian music's greatest bands.

5-0 out of 5 stars Musically and Spiritually Correct!
My veins pump with a love for hard rock..the problem is that there are so very few bands that praise, while raising the roof with well written songs and great, full sound. This is one awesome album, through and through. There are just not enough Christian bands out there that really let it rip! There are many "scream-o" and "nu-metal" so called Christian bands, but nothing like Third Day.These guys are annointed, and play great music.I prefer this album over any of the other Third Day albums, because of its harder edge and generous use of distortion; yet there are a few slower praise songs that fit perfectly! You can't help but tap your foot to every song; it is GREAT driving music! It is so cool to be able to sing lyrics with praise to our Creator and Savior....more.....more! ... Editorial Review

It's hard to escape your roots, especially when you've grown up in the South. For Third Day, it's never been truer than on Time, the band's third release and the first to openly embrace their Southern rock traditions. While producer Monroe Jones coaxes a somewhat softer-sounding Third Day in this pleasing effort, the band still rocks hard for the most part. "Took My Place," for instance, is a Southern-fried rave-up powered by the twin guitars of Mark Lee and Brad Avery paced by the gritty vocals of Mac Powell. Yet Third Day also lessens the blows, as with the poignant ballads "I've Always Loved You" and "Your Love, Oh Lord." Fans will get the best of both worlds in the loose, rootsy "Don't Say Goodbye," one of the album's best moments. Time captures a band maturing and owning up to both its spiritual and musical legacy. --Michael Lyttle ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Christian Rock at its best!
This CD is a bit older from Third day but is probable one of the best Christian CD's out there. I would love to see them get back into God's Word and sing about it. I know that there recent CD, The Wire, is trying to draw in the unchurched but for us worshippers it is always good to stay strong in are faith. This is a must have, for anyone who loves a little rock and loves Jesus Christ. What a great testament.

5-0 out of 5 stars Back to their southern rock roots
Third Day returns to their southern rock roots after their second album had more a mainstream rock style. The most popular songs from this cd are "I've always loved you", "Your Love Oh Lord", and "Sky Falls Down".I read the review when this cd came out and was very nervous to buy it as the critics loved it.As I'm sure most everyone already knows the critics are wrong a majority of the time. This is the exception to the rule, however! You can feel comfortable buying this album knowing that you won't be disappointed.

5-0 out of 5 stars If there was only this one song, it would be worth the price
The song "I've Always Loved You" is probably the best song I have ever heard. It gets across the most important message from God "I've always loved you and I always will". No other being but God can say this to you and mean it. I was working one day and just that one part of the song played over and over in my head until I broke down and cried for about a half hour (And I am a mechanic who works in a deisel shop). Listen to the song and imagine the words coming to you from Jesus as he sacrificed himself on the cross for you. It will break your heart. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Salvador's Myrrh Records debut is a powerhouse production ofLatin-influenced praise and worship. Producer Monroe Jones (Chris Rice, Third Day, Ginny Owens) hasagain demonstrated his Midas touch. The album begins with an explosionof Latin-funk in "Lord, I Come Before You," and then flows into asizzling salsa groove with "David Danced." Between choruses there is anabundance of instrumental jamming for those who know how to use theirfeet. The horn section, flamenco guitar, and layered percussionglamorize this music with no holds barred. Never before has worshipbeen this fun! But Salvador demonstrates tenderness as well. Leadsinger Nick Gonzales makes this project complete with messages ofsalvation and healing. The five members of Salvador have much incommon. Between them, there are two brothers, one cousin, two pastor'skids, and two worship leaders. These family and ministry ties have madean unmistakable mark on their music. They deliver pure spiritualmaterial that cannot be ignored. --Israel Button ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars FINALLY!
Finally, REAL music from the world of Christian music. You'll find more than "three chord wonders" here. It's great to hear musicians of this quality playing music of this quality with a Christian message. And it's fun too. This CD reminds me of a Christian combination of the Gypsy Kings and Chicago.I've given away at leastfour of these so far.BRAVO Salvador. Thanks for giving us so much enjoyment.

4-0 out of 5 stars Big, BIG suprise.
First reaction: "Here's a group of guys who are going to be the Christian version of Menudo."
Second reaction: "Here's a group of guys who sound like vintage Santana that found Christ right after Woodstock".
Yeah, the lyrics are not all that earth-shattering,with the exception of the incredible 'Cry Holy', but the joy and enthusiasm with which they are performed make this disc well-worth the price and gamble.Sometimes worship just needs to be down-right fun.

The Among Thorns will get you going on your feet again after listing to any of their albums. The whole camp was up on there feet jumping up and down or on there knees praying when they where playing the most coolest Christan Rock&Pop I have ever heard. I do recommend that you buy at least one of their Cd's and listen to it.
