5-0 out of 5 stars I've been rocked into submission!
My 37 year old perspective on this music is probably a little different than most of the other reviewers here. So just to let you know where I'm coming from: I've always enjoyed 80s heavy metal on its own ear-pleasing merits from somewhere in the middle of the road. I've never worn a denim jacket with a band's logo painted on the back by my buddy in exchange for a homemade bong. Nor, at the other extreme, have I felt the need to treat the music as camp or a guilty pleasure of some kind. It's just feel-good rock-and-roll that speaks for the adolescent male that dwells inside men of every age - as our wives will be the first to lament.

That said: the name "Dokken" has always been associated in my mind with the style at its most embarrassing - the ne plus ultra of genre cheese. Despite my respectful MTV memories of watching George Lynch's jaw-dropping solo on "In My Dreams" [worth sitting through the close-ups of Don Dokken's Miss Piggy face - really! stop and think about it for a minute and you'll "get it" like one of those 3-D artwork things], I would have felt silly even speaking the word in adult company.

But recent listens to "The Very Best of Dokken" [gotten solely for the "In My Dreams" solo] and now "Beast from the East" have made me a believer. I love Dokken and I don't care who knows it! This is 80% due to Lynch - who I'm now prepared to crown The Best Heavy Metal Guitarist Of All Time. He's the complete package: the speed of a Malmsteen, the lyricism of a Gilmour, and the tone of a Santana. [Yeah, I know those last two aren't HM guys.] If there are 4 bars of guitar music *anywhere* as orgasmically searing as his first solo on "Burning Like A Flame" [the studio version, of course - it wasn't recorded for even the LP version of "Beast" for some inexplicable reason], I haven't heard it.

But the other 20% - it must be admitted - is that porcine, natural-born-Republican Don Dokken. One of the other reviewers here said he sings like a God on this recording. And though I think the Almighty would have come up with a more profound song intro than "Are you ready for a rock-and-roll par-TAY??", the scorching high notes he repeatedly hits on "Kiss of Death" [sidebar: WHY WAS THIS SONG NOT INCLUDED ON "THE VERY BEST OF DOKKEN"?? WHY??] do demand something akin to worship. I can just picture the geeky Japanese boys who were there the night this was recorded mopping the sweat from their foreheads and grinning madly at each other as they politely filed out of the Yokohama Amphitheater.

It's the power of his singing here that edges "Beast from the East" ahead of "The Very Best of Dokken" as the best introduction to the band. If it only had "Burning Like A Flame" on it too, it would be the only Dokken record you'd ever need.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Live Dokken Album Ever
BEAST FROM THE EAST is the best live Dokken release ever. It features the classic lineup before they imploded, headlining before a loyal Japanese audience. (While they were a mere support act at home, they were headliners in Japan.) It's better than LIVE FROM THE SUN because once the group split up, they did get back together, but were never able to truly recapture the original chemistry. If you get this along with BREAKING THE CHAINS, TOOTH AND NAIL, UNDER LOCK AND KEY, BACK FOR THE ATTACK, and UP FROM THE ASHES, you'll have the perfect Dokken library.

    Editorial Review

The fact that Alive! is arguably Kiss's best album highlights the fact that they are performers first, musicians second. There's nothing wrong with that, especially when a live album sounds this good. Stuffed to bursting with classic tracks, Alive!, originally released in 1975, is a classic metal album. "Deuce," "Strutter," "Hotter than Hell," "Black Diamond," "100,000 Years," and especially "Rock and Roll All Nite" (probably the most well-known party song in existence)--they're all here, and wonder of wonders, they still sound fresh after all these years. The success of Kiss's 1996 tour shows that they've still got plenty of fans; Alive! is one album no Kiss fan should be without. --Genevieve Williams ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars KISS' breakthrough album
By 1975,even though artists and bands like Alice Cooper,Ted Nugent,Aerosmith,Black Sabbath, etc were stading on top of the world, there was one band that was still trying to make it,and that band was KISS.As hard as they tried, until this album was released,KISS had not had any hit albums or songs. However, this was the album that made them both famous and popular, and it did what it did for KISS with a good reason.Read on for my review os this:

This album has often been credited as the second best live album EVER made/released,right next to Peter Frampton's "Frampton Comes Alive"live album. Personally,I think this is the greatest live record ever made...but that's just MY opinion. When KISS was touring and recording this album, they performed material from their first three albums(their self-titled 1974 debut album,"Hotter Than Hell",and "Dressed To Kill")and several of their songs that would become KISS classics, such as "Hotter Than Hell","Cold Gin","Strutter",and of course,"Rock and Roll All Nite"(note that they did spell it as "nite" instead of "night")which would become the band's biggest hit, right next to the power ballad "Beth",which became a hit in 1976 when "Destroyer" was released. But "Rock and Roll All Nite" is probably their most important song and it is also one of the songs that shaped rock 'n roll(they even mentioned that in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame!). When that song was first released as a single off of "Dressed To Kill",it didn't do great, but when it was released as a single off of this album, that was when it became such a huge hit. And in case you didn't know, according to a special about KISS that was aired on VH1 in April of 2003,even though some of this album was recorded live,KISS recorded some of it in a studio, and Eddie Kramer, the producer of this album(who also worked with other legendary acts such as The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix)made it sound live. And as a bonus for this legendary live album, the sound has been digitally remastered, and Robert V. Conte wrote liner notes(check inside the CD jacked under the second CD in here, this is a double live album)about how this album was the breakthrough album for KISS. A nice way to do remasters, and this should serve as a good memory for KISS fans.

Overall, this is a great live record, and if you like KISS and you are a fan of live albums, then, without question, you will probably love this album. And also look for the other "Alive!"live albums that KISS released:"Alive II"(1977)that features some of the material that was on this album, stuff that appeared on albums KISS recorded after this,as well as about four or five songs KISS recorded in a studio),"Alive III"(1993)that features Bruce Kulick on lead guitar and Eric Singer on drums and covers KISS' material from the 70's,80's,and the early 90's),and of course,2003's "Symphony:Alive IV"live album, which features every original member of KISS except Ace Frehley(Tommy Thayer,KISS' current guitarist, subsitiuted for Frehley on that record)and finds KISS performing their 70's and 80's material live-with an Australian symphony! Very Cool!

    I highly recommend this CD.

1-0 out of 5 stars All Show, No Talent
That pretty much sums up KISS.

This is considered their best album, i'm sorry, but that is just sad. These guys needed to put out a live album or they were gonna sink as a band because their studio albums sucked @$$, they had no technical skill with their instraments, they had to relie on face paint and pyrotechnics to draw the crowds into their shows. I like 70's hard rock alot, but KISS was nothing but a foolish show with four guys dressed up like effing retards breathing flames. With no ability to play, it was like going to a circus to see the clowns intead of a rock concert. This "live" album was completely overdubed as soon as the master tapes were parked in the studio parking lot, the only thing untouched was Peter Criss's drum work. They sucked so bad live that they need massive studio overdub to make this sound right. How can you call this live when nothing on here was recorded live?

5-0 out of 5 stars The one album to own if you want Kiss
If you can own only one Kiss album, this is the one to buy. It's Kiss at their hardest rocking best. The songs are from their first three studio albums and are much better (hard and raw) on Alive than their somewhat flat and whimpy studio counterparts. Now there is a rumor that this album was recorded live but without an audience present and then fixed, overdubbed in the studio where the audience was dubbed in.You know what?It doesn't matter because Alive rocks, and is an excellent best of album for early Kiss. They never put out an album this good again with the possible exception of the Alive 2 album which was loaded with overdubs and comes off as too polished.Alsoo personally I prefer most of their older tunes to the newer ones.If you are a fan or just curious, Alive is Kiss at its apex:when they really knew what they were about. Before they made awful concept albums, before Beth, before they took their makeup off and then put it on again, Kiss were top-notch hard rock entertainers.Alive is the classic Kiss lineup when their concept was still fresh:Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley.Yeah, the lyrical content never gets very far above crotch level, but this isn't Bob Dylan, or Led Zeppelin for that matter. This wasn't supposed to be taken too too seriously. It was only on later albums when Kiss tried to be "artists" or when they tried for a poppier sound, that they started to flag a bit.Alive is some fun '70s rock and roll by the best party band of that period. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great, if somewhat predictible, live sets
Four studio records then a live one is the pattern Rush has followed, and "Different Stages - Live" is no exception to that rule, but what is different is that while the previous live albums were trimmed to highlight material from the last few albums, this one is a full setlist. And add to that a third show from 1978, and there's quite a bit of music on this one.

Dealing first with the "main" set, the majority of it was recorded on the 1997 tour, with two songs from 1994.The set is pretty well mixed, four from "Counterparts", three each from "Test For Echo" and "Roll the Bones", and one from "Presto" are from the last batch of albums, then a bunch of tracks from previous albums, three each from "Moving Pictures" and "Permanent Waves", and one each from "2112", "A Farewell to Kings", "Hemispheres", and "Signals".

In many ways, this tour was special because a lot of material that had been dropped over the years saw a resurgence-- the readdition of the whole "2112" and "Natural Science" to the set was quite stunning. Its actually quite interesting hearing the band, now with such better commmand over themselves and their instruments, tackle this material, it really is in many ways improved-- the intensity drops a bit, but the performance is much more interesting.Actually, the set as a whole is quite a good mix of old and new, there's a lot of great material being played, of course everything is really well done, but the entire first set is like a dream for me-- its just great material, start to finish, culminating with "2112".The second set is also very strong, loaded again with great material, "Resist" and the instrumental "Leave That Thing Alone" are particularly strong performances.

Overall, a very satisfying listen, oddly enough moreso than the show I saw.

The bonus set from 1978 is interesting in contrast-- the band is much looser, there's a lot more tension there.Very little material is repeated between the two sets, so there's not much room for comparison. This show is four from "A Farewell to Kings" (including the two lengthy compositions on there), three from "Fly By Night", two from "Rush",and one each from "Caress of Steel" and "2112".I think this set compares favorably to the live album from around the same time ("All the World's a Stage", recorded the previous tour), but I really enjoyed the first two sets on here.Still, geting "Xanadu" live was great.

My only complaint is that there's not much in the way of chances with the set-- few obscure gems from recent albums, and the synth period of the band is almost entirely ignored."Rush in Rio" may be better for a more balanced set.

But in the end, this is a great release-- the whole thing is really quite good, and its highly recommended

5-0 out of 5 stars Rush Unleashed and Live
If you're a Rush fan, or used to be but forgot about them for awhile, this would be the CD to buy to restore or refresh the relationship. These live songs move with their full energy, and with the technical brilliance that has made Rush so special among fans. This band has always played as tight in concert as humanly possible, and this collection will demonstrate what some Rush fans have known for this, their fourth decade together, that is, that they can still rip through their complex song structures like steel through hot butter.

I'd also recommend Vapor Trails. Some of their most powerful music ever has returned in their latest compositions. The finely sharpened "Secret Touch" and "Ghost Rider" will leave you screaming for more.

5-0 out of 5 stars Top notch set
This is quite possibly my favorite Rush concert album. The fact that it mixes so much Old Rush with new Rush was well done.Plus who can resist a complete version of 2112?A+ effort! ... Read more

    Editorial Review

One Wild Night? Well, that's not strictly true, as this live album was recorded at Bon Jovi concerts spanning three decades. But why be pedantic when the result is a live album that effectively doubles as a greatest-hits collection? Bon Jovi's songs are tailor-made for stadiums and arenas, and, from classic fist-in-the-air rockers ("Livin' on a Prayer," "Bad Medicine," "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Runaway") to lighters-in-the-air numbers ("Keep the Faith," "Wanted Dead or Alive," "Something to Believe In"), the choices are suitably larger than life. The career-reviving single "It's My Life" sounds right at home, as do great covers of Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World" (recorded, appropriately enough, in Johannesburg in 1995) and the Boomtown Rats' "I Don't Like Mondays" (performed with Sir Bob Geldof). --Robert Burrow ... 5-0 out of 5 stars not a greatest hits album
This is not Bon Jovi's greatest hits, and that's the only bad thing that anyone who likes Bon Jovi can say about this. It's a fun collection of some live great live performances. Bon Jovi is great in concert, interacting with the crowd, and building up the energy and fun. You can hear that the audience and performers had a great time. If you like Bon Jovi, then this is certainly worth the money!

5-0 out of 5 stars Like a fine wine gets better with age...
It's funny that I wasn't into this band when everyone else was, but now I can't listen to or watch them enough! I guess I like their sound better now; the music is more than beating drums and screaming fans! I love how the fans actually sing a long now; that has got to make Jon and the guys feel so proud! Jon hung in there a long time, and now I think he's hotter than ever (and I don't mean only the music)!! Like a fine wine gets better with age.. that's you, Jon! The shorter hair and gorgeous smile melts me... but that's not why I gave this CD 5 stars, I did because it deserves 5 stars in my book. Great job! There is not one song that I don't like on this CD; it's a great mixture of their work. [I have a question for everyone else out there... I've been trying to purchase "VH1 presents Bon Jovi: One Last Wild Night" that aired 10/6/02 - 90 minute concert. Of course I started with VH1, but as I went through all their channels, I came to a dead end. Apparently, either it won't ever be for sale on DVD or I haven't found it yet. If anyone knows where I can purchase this DVD (or VHS), please write me at virtualsimplicity@cbcast.com. No pranks, please! Thanks!]

3-0 out of 5 stars Could have been better
On the spine it says Bon Jovi One Wild Night Live 1985-2001, what a rip! Runaway and In and out of love are the only songs on the album recorded at a concert from the 80's, the rest was recorded in 1995 and 2000. You'd think Bon Jovi would use material from the Slippery When Wet and New Jersey tours since during those two tours Bon Jovi was at their peak in popularity, but instead were given tracks from the Keep the Faith and Crush tours. While most the album is good, Jon's voice is weaker then it used to be just play the first 4 albums and you'll hear what I mean. Besides many of Bon Jovi's biggest hits missing there are a couple of covers we could have done without, and songs like Someday I'll be Saturday and Just older aren't in the same league as their classics and where is Bed of Roses. I'm sure a Bon Jovi concert is a lot better than this album. They should have made a two cd set, so they could include the more essential tunes. ... Read more

I can call on no higher authority than that pull-no-punches pair of misfit music critics, Beavis and Butthead.Their opinion of Journey?"If this song was a turd, it would be the same thing."Check the names of everyone that gave this 5 stars, then look for them at the top of the dork list.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great live album from a great band
Great melodies, super tight band, great vocals and all live with no overdubs. Most live albums are full of fixes and overdubs but this band was a band that sounded live the way they did on the record but with more live energy.Steve's voice soars. If you are a Journey fan this is a must have.Obviously they were much more than just an 80s pop rock band. They could really play and sing great.Refreshing in a time when so many acts are lip syncing, singing to tracks, or just singing poorly. This is an example of how a great band is supposed to sound live. They made sure they gave the audience their moneys worth. And so does this CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars another underated super group
after listening and comparing this compendium album with others done by groups recognized as great power groups, i was shocked by how well they measure up to the likes of cream, zeplin and santana. sorry to admit that i didn,t even know who their lead player was. neal shoun's work on this album compares favorably with jimmy pages work on how the west was won and without overpowering steve perry's usual superb vocals. if you are only going to own 1 journey album this probably needs to be it. it also shows that, despite what some of us older rock fans believe, a few great groups did really exist in that decade. ... Editorial Review

Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist Randy Rhoads was a technical genius on his instrument, but that's only half the story. Rhoads shaped the direction of Osbourne's first two post-Sabbath recordings, Diary of a Madman and Blizzard of Ozz, which still stand as his best solo studio albums. Rhoads also was capable of pulling the best out of Osbourne onstage, a notable accomplishment in itself. This live set was released five years after Rhoads's death in a bizarre plane accident, and it's still a striking reminder of what was lost. Osbourne and company run through the Blizzard album in its entirety, adding a few tunes from Diary plus the Sabbath classics "Iron Man," "Children of the Grave," and "Paranoid." The highlights are Rhoads's guitar freakout on "Suicide Solution" and studio outtakes of his solo acoustic showcase, "Dee." --Daniel Durchholz ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
I want to say that Randy Rhoads kicked ass, and this album is no exception. Randy was THE BEST GUITAR PLAYER THAT EVER LIVED PERIOD. The Bonus track showcases his composition skills. Oh, and ozzy isn't too bad on this album either :).

5-0 out of 5 stars Where's the Revelation?
First off this is a great CD.Anybody who loves great guitar playing, especially great LIVE guitar playing, will love this album.Randy Rhoads was a really great guitar player that had a big impact on 80's guitar playing and that whole shredder attitude. The soloing on all the songs are exceptional, highlights including:Crazy Train, Mr.Crowley, and Suicide Solution with one of the most memorable unaccompanied guitar solos ever. But after scanning the other reviews, I saw very little comments about Revelation Mother Earth. This is one of the best songs on the album and the solo is damn great! The only downer is the Dee outtakes which are just boring until he really gets to some playing. But this is a great CD for some great Randy Rhoads, some great Ozzy vocals, and early 80's hard rock at its best.

3-0 out of 5 stars Man, this guy as a lot of live albums...
Another typical concert with lots of "i love you all's" and "i'm the mad man's".Still, it is a prettygood overview of his career with the essential early ozzy and early sabbath hits all here.

I think if you have this album and speak of the devil, it is all of the live ozzy you would need.the sound on the remastered album is really cleaned up, and the packaging has lots of interesting information ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars "The Hollywood Bad Boys...MOTLEY CRUE!"
This double-live album released in 1999 symbolizes Motley Crue's real return of the original line-up. The album really captures the band's power on stage. The album is loud, heavy, and is a true Motley Crue MASTERPIECE. Vince's vocals are excellent, Mick and Nikki have never played better and Tommy's drums are loud and phenomenal. This live piece captures the great performances of Motley Crue's greatest hits to date.

The opening "Looks That Kill" is excellent. Tommy is doing a little intro drum solo and the announcer screams, "From Hollywood, California. The Hollywood Bad Boys....MOTLEY CRUE!" Then the guitars and Vince starts singing his heart out. Then if you jump to "Too Young To Fall In Love" the performance of this Motley classic is outstanding. The vocals are what makes this live piece the best. Then next is the classic "Live Wire." This is one of the best live tunes on this album. There is a lot of power behind this live piece and the band did a great job with this one.

Now, skip a couple track and then we get into the real stuff. Let's start with the legendary "Shout At The Devil." The song starts with the original "In The Beginning" dialogue and then Vince screams, "SHOUT AT THE DEVIL!" This is definitley on of the best performance on this whole album if not the best. The next track is Motley Crue's first ballad, "Merry-Go-Round." This is an excellent tune and the live version is so much better than the studio version. If you already heard the studio version, you'll love this live version.

Now let's jump to the 2nd CD. The opener for this, "Smokin' In The Boy's Room" is phenomenal and the song is played for over 5 minutes than the original 3-4 minutes on the studio version. The band had a lot of fun with this song. It rocks all the way. Then skip to "Wild Side." The song starts with Tommy talkin to the crowd. This is definitley in the top three best songs of the album. It's heavy, loud, crazy and is pure Crue. The vocals are great and Tommy, Nikki and Mick did a great job on the beats and the riffs. The next track is Motley Crue's classic "Girls, Girls, Girls." This version is so much better than the studio version. The guitars are better, the drums are better and Vince's vocals are better. Then jump to the ballads "Without You" and "Home Sweet Home." The first of the two, "Without You" is excellent. Vince sings this song is a very passionate and loving tone that you haven't seen before. Then "Home Sweet Home." This one is so full of power live. I'd say this one is a little better than "Without You." The last track, "Kickstart My Heart" is good. I'd say this is the somewhat below par song of the album because if you've heard the studio version you know it's hard to capture that tune as good as in the studio. That's one of the reasons why I gave the album a 4.

Buy this Motley Crue live album and you won't be dissapointed. Where the album title says "Entertainment or Death", after you listen to album, it's all ENTERTAINMENT. So buy this album and let the Hollywood Bad Boys entertain you. Rock On Motley Crue!

3-0 out of 5 stars MAYBE DEATH WOULD BE BETTER
i have always loved the crue. i have all their studio albums. so when i picked this up i was somewhat disappointed. to keep it simple, vince neil just kills this disc. he sounds like he's running out of breath while singing the songs. if you've seen his mid-section lately than its no wonder! die-hard fans will enjoy, but not something i would recommend to introduce the band to a new listener!

4-0 out of 5 stars Live and raw!!!
It sounds very live and very raw. Obviously those live songs weren't tweaked at the studio before the album was released. But it's ok. We all know Vince couldn't sing that good and it shows. It is the opposite route from the one Prince took with his Sign of the Times live VHS, the one which was tweaked in the studio to the point that he did most of the vocals over. This Motley CD is for die-hard fans only who already knew all the songs by heart. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars This is THE "Unplugged" Album !
This is the unplugged album of all unplugged albums. It was the risk-taker that worked out. It was the one that established the trend and so rarely gets the credit it deserves for that.It is the one that Rolling Stone forgets when they compile their lists of "important" albums.

They render some of their own tunes real well in this, like Heaven's Trail, The Way It Is, and Love Song. The crowd interaction for Gettin' Better makes you really feel you are there in the middle of the crowd. It does take some getting used to though when listening to Modern Day Cowboy as an unplugged version, but it works.

What is impressive are some of the takes they have on classic tunes. The Beatle's We Can Work it Out is stunning. The Stones' Mother's Little Helper is a fun take. Five Man Electrical Band's song Sign was of course the big hit of this album that made a lot of people do a double-take to the possibilities of unplugged renderings.

Also included are a couple of Tesla jams in Tommy's Down Home, which has some hysterically funny lyrics sung by Tommy Skeoch, as well as Down Fo' Boogie which is also fun.

4-0 out of 5 stars This is a great album
As one reviewer posted, this did not spawn the MTV unplugged era. Bon Jovi did that a couple of years before at the MTV music awards performing Wanted Dead or Alive. Stevie Ray Vaughn was on MTV unplugged in 1989, so no, Tesla did not start the whole unplugged thing. However, this a great album, and for those of you that are fans of unplugged music, this one cannot be overlooked. Signs was the big hit from the album, but I don't think there is a bad song on it. Definitely check it out if you like acoustic music.

5-0 out of 5 stars A perfect album
This was the performance that inspired a decade of MTV Unplugged (can MTV ever come up with ANYTHING original on their own?), and is an essential addition to any music collection. The performances are perfect because they were never intended to be on any official release.Recorded by chance, and compiled, mixed, and released only after an unexpected demand, it captures the band's intimate performance while they were at their best.It is certainly one of the best live CDs ever released, and the best of the Unplugged era.

To whomever hit the record button that night....thank you. ... Read more

One of the greatest live albums by one of the greatest metal bands of all times. You won't be disappointed in the least.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great live album for Scorpions
World Wide Live by the Scorpions is a high-energy concert on CD that delivers on all the songs!

I actually like this album better then most of the studio versions, as you get to hear the crowd cheers and the energy of the moment.

So don't get stung by other reviews, this is a winner!

    Editorial Review

Long acknowledged as one of the most formidable concert acts on the rock & roll arena circuit, Led Zeppelin finally bit the grenade and in 1976 released this, the only live album of their career. The companion to a same-named full-length feature film combing concert footage and oblique "personal" visual statements by each member, this collection still stands up as a souvenir of Zeppelin's winning stage combination of fire and fury. A sort of live greatest-hits disc, the album features good versions of "Rock and Roll," "Dazed and Confused" (complete with violin-bowed guitar, of course), "Whole Lotta Love," and the inevitably climactic "Stairway to Heaven." --Billy Altman ... The Song Remains The Same: Soundtrack From The Led Zeppelin Film -
    AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!`

4-0 out of 5 stars Does anybody remember laughter?
This is the soundtrack to a motion picture, featuring a Led Zeppelin concert recorded at Madison Square Garden (I haven't seen the movie).Led Zeppelin's members have said that this was a below average concert, but it sounds pretty good to me.Not as good as the studio versions of these songs, but how could they be?Some of the songs arguably go on a bit too long, but that's the '70s for ya!If you like Zep, you should enjoy this.

4-0 out of 5 stars Led Zeppelin-'The Song Remains The Same'(Atlantic)Movie Sdtk
This must of been the first Zeppelin album I ever bought.I remember since they were rarely if EVER on American TV,at least when they were still together,if you wanted to see their performance, you either had to attend their concert or go see the movie.Which,of course this is the soundtrack to.Very well done.May be one of THE better 'live' albums of the '70's.Best tracks here to have kept many parties going back in the day(I'm sure)are "Celebration Day",the 27-minute "Daze And Confused","No Quarter","Stairway To Heaven" and "Moby Dick".Great to kill a Saturday with.Recommended. ...
