5-0 out of 5 stars The Best. Truely A Classic!!
This is a very sophisticated and beautiful album. It is a true classic, perhaps the best rap album of 1995. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony are a pure rap group, and this album proves their talent. Each Bone member do this album with thuggishness, and harmony. Being a Bone fan, I feel each Bone album is done very well, but is the best Bone album ever, and I bet it will be hard to top. I rate this album's tracks on a scale from 1 to 5: 1. Da Introduction-4.5 2. East 1999-4 3. Eternal-5 4. Crept And We Came-3.5 5. Down '71 (The Getaway)-4 6. Mr. Bill Collector-4.5 7. Budsmokers Only-4.5 8. Crossroad-5 9. Me Killa-3 10. Land Of Tha Heartless-4 11. No Shorts, No Losses-5 12. 1st Of Tha Month-5 13. Buddah Lovaz-3.5 14. Die Die Die-3.5 15. Mr. Ouija-2.5 16. Mo' Murda-4.5 17. Shotz To Tha Double Glock-4

5-0 out of 5 stars Bone's SECOND best CD
My 10 most listened Bone songs(out of all Bone albums).

THUG LUV, LOOK INTO MY EYES remix, EAST 1999, DA INTRO(east/1999 Eturnal album), MO MURDA, DOWN 71(THA GETAWAY), BONE BONE, BODY ROTT, THUGGISH RUGGISH BONE and FOE THA LOVE OF MONEY

Bone thugs are the most original rap group I've heard and if you hear anyone rap like Bone, they got the idea from them. These 5 thugs, BIZZY, KRAIZY, LAYZIE, WISH and FLESH are the definition of style. They change thier rap style so you don't get bored of them. Bizzy Bone is the best example of this, he can rap fast or slow and as the piano goes of in Mo murda, he raps at a different pace. As they rap fast, it takes time to make out what they're saying, just listen to a track 30 times then your fine. This is the top 3 rap albums of all time on the top 10 rap commandments site and it's under The Chronic by Dre Dre and Doggy style by Snoop dog.

I'll rate each track with 5 being the highest.

DA INTRODUCTION -5- Great way to start and it's my top 10 Bone songs of all time and this has the 3 best Bone members Bizzy, Kraizy and Layzie. DJUNEEK spits some evil words out to introduce Bone. Afterwards Bizzy does the best verse and no other rapper can ever touch his verse, it's so smooth and he raps slower than usual and his smooth voice fits in with the rainining and smooth music in the background. Check out these lyrics
Betta make that money man, dead wrong
Put it on the low betta beat them hoes
Gotta get them demons off me

EAST 1999 -5- Another 1 of my top 10 Bone songs. If you want to get the best out of Bone, listen to this. Its got all 5 of those thugs and this is straight hardcore. I reckon this has Kraizy's best verse because he uses all his stop n stutter rap skills here. The tune to this a deep bass in the background. Bizzy spits out the tightest verse in the whole track.

ETURNAL -5- This is a standout track on the album and it's missing Flesh. This is a little less hardcore than East 1999 because it has a slower pace. I think Layzie gave us the best verse.

CREPT AND WE CAME 3.5 I gave this 3.5 because it's my least listened on this album. This has a basic background tune but when Bone raps over it, it's still quite tight.

DOWN 71 (THA GETAWAY) -5- This song is as hardcore as East 1999 but with better lyrics. This has Bizzy, Layzie, Krayzie. This is about Bizzy getting sentenced to jail and Layzie helps by shooting a guard in the face and frowing a grenade, then Krayzie is disguised as a preacher and gives cover when Layzie and Bizzy jump over a fence to their hideout. This song has a fast pace and Layzie has my favourite verse.

MR BILL COLLECTER -5- This is 1 of the best on this album and this is Bone at a slower pace than East 1999 and Tha Getaway. You can chill to this and this has a great hook "I could of taken his life but tha n*gg* tried to get away with me elloh". This has the strongest tune out of the first 5 tracks.

BUDSMOKERS ONLY -3- This is my least listened and this is a comedy track about smokers.

CROSSROADS -5- This is dedicated to Eazy E(as is the whole album) from passing away. This is emotional and Wish's verse shines here the most to me, this song is 1 of Bone's most accomplished.

LAND OF THA HEARTLESS -5- Another hard Bone song and this is fast paced with a perfect beat. This contains the 3 best Bone members. Bizzy does my most liked verse in this track.

NO SHORTS OR LOSSES 4.5 This has all 5 Bone members. The choras tune is very like Tha Thuggish Ruggish Bone tune. The beat can't match L O H.

1ST OF THA MONTH -5- This has the standout tune along with Mo Murder. This is about Bone when they were younger when living in the ghetto and the Government gave them money, so they lived for a day like millionaires(kind of. Bizzy Bone had the best verse, this is 1 of the best songs by Bone in their carreer.

BUDDAH LOVAH -5- This is the best chilled out Bone track in my opinion. This has a memorable tune and each group member(except Flesh but he's on the video)has tiny verses each and rap after each over(like Tha Crossroads).

DIE DIE 4.5 This has Bizzy and Krayzie. Another piano classic. Bizzy has the best verse and he raps faster than Krayzie. This is a short song(2.51) so it doesn't get repetitive.

MO MURDA -5- This is my top 10 Bone song out of all their albums. This in my opinion has the best tune with piano synths and more. Layzie puts down one of the best verses in hip pop history, untuchouble. Bizzy also puts down a great verse and when the piano goes off it is out of this world when he raps. Wish puts down his best verse in this album. Krayzie's verse is relaxing and comes out with good lyrics like "dipped machete in rum", "Blow all these hoes up in flames".

SHOTS TO THA DOUBLE GLOCK -5-
This has hardcore lyrics and a hard choras "pop pop given up shots to tha double glock glock".
This has Wish, Kraizie, Layzie, Poetic Hustlers and Grave Yard Shift.
This is a sample of some of the lyrics.

first degree m*rderin' wig splitta, grave digga
Diggin' a ditch, puttin' a b*tch
And them snitches in the pit, so don't f*ck with
Them n*gga* off the 9 9.

THA CROSSROADS -5- This has all of thugs except Flesh. This is dedicted to Kraizy's cousine(Wally), Wish's uncle and Eazy E because they passed away.

Editorial Review

Fellow Californian Mike Love of the Beach Boys is sampled to introduce this latest Offspring release and immediately it's down to business as usual. Which for the Offspring means the best-produced punk rock money can buy. Brendan O'Brien (Pearl Jam) turns the knobs in the producer's chair and he works pure sonic architecture. The guitars crunch with perfectly defined distortion, the drums come down the middle, and--most importantly--singer Dexter Holland is juiced to the max. Though his voice sits in the "whine" range, double tracking and other studio enhancements give the vocals an incredible presence beyond standard range, and Holland works them to convincing effect. "Come Out Swinging" does exactly that. "Want You Bad" recalls the southern California punk pop of the Descendents. "One Fine Day" double-times into both hardcore and a galloping country terrain. Essentially, it's full speed ahead with the pedal to the metal and no airbags in sight. --Rob O'Connor ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars an okay effort
This album ranks on the bottom of the list for offspring albums. It lacks alot with only a few good tracks. At times you can hear Brendan O'Brien's(producer)early grunge background coming into play. Some of these songs do not sound like the offspring at all. If you are a pre-smash fan forget this album. It's a waste of time. If you liked them post ixnay you'll like this one.

Intro: just a good leader into the next track.

Come out Swinging: 10/10 the best track on the album. it is a good fast paced punk song. Has the energy of early offspring punk. It seems to be about someone who has lost all faith and confidence in themselves.

Original Prankster: 1/10 This is by far the worst offspring ever. What a disappointment. They followed the pretty fly formula for this one. It really lacks creativity. You get used to their singles having great lyrics. Then out comes this one.

Want you bad: 7/10 This is a good pop-punk song. Crap like Good Charlotte should listen to this and put more effort into their music. At times reminds me of some pop-punk that the descendants have done.

Million Miles Away: 8/10 I wouldn't call this punk at all. Its more of a rock song. But a darn good rock song at that.

Dammit, I changed again: 10/10 This is another great punk song. It definitely has a "traditional" offspring punk sound. Once again fast paced and full of energy. The solo in the middle of it is great.

Living in Chaos: 8/10 This is a funk type song that belongs on a Chili Peppers album. Even though it is not the offspring it is still a decent song. They did a nice job of pulling off a funk type sound.

Special Delivery: 6/10. a decent punk song. the lyrics itself are pretty catchy. but there is nothing special about this one. It does not stick out at all.

One fine day: 6/10 Another subpar punk song. It's a bummer too because the lyrics aren't too bad at all.

All along: 4/10 This track always sounded like a filler one to me. Granted it is a fast paced one it just seems like they needed one more track, sat down and within no time at all had this one.

Denial, revisted: 1/10 Okay this ties as the worst offspring song ever. Every time i listen to this one i feel like i am listening to a Pearl Jam song. Not very original at all.

Vultures: 7/10 Contrary to earlier reviews they did not go out and rip off Nirvana. Yes it can remind you of one of their songs. If anything it is a newer version of Dirty Magic off of Ignition. Dirty Magic would have probably sounded similar to this if it was heavily produced.

Conspiracy of One: 10/10 A great way to close out the album. This song has some great energy to it. I usually find myself rocking out this when it's on. The lyrics are eery in their own way. This album came out in late 2000. Yet the song is about how it's no longer other countries we need to fear, but a single terrorist. That single terrorist can do a lot of damage.

All in all an okay effort by them. This album is a bit too experimental and lacks the Offspring sound throughout. I'm glad that on Splinter they went back to their old sound and didn't let Brendan O'Brien's grunge background ruin it.

5-0 out of 5 stars BEST PUNK ALBUM EVER!!!!
I must admit, I'm not an avid Offspring listener as I thought their last album was brutal except for the track "the kids aren't alright". When my buddy got me a ticket for an Offspring/Cypress Hill concert I was a little skeptical. I went out and got Offspring's new album and then went to the concert a couple days later. Now, I've been to around 15 concerts in my life and to be honest, this was by far the most amazing concert I've ever been to. Cypress Hill was good but Offspring blew me away. "Conspiracy of One" hasn't left my cd player and every song is amazing with the exception of "Original Prankster" which sounds like a song that should have been on their last album "Americana". The standout tracks on the album are "Dammit I Changed Again" and "Want You Bad". I'm big into bands like Millencolin and Green Day but their albums don't even come close to this one. I recommend "Conspiracy of One" to anyone who likes any form of punk or alternative-style music. I also highly recommend Offspring in concert. You won't regret it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars The Offspring at its finest
Finally the Offspring has created an album with more than one good song. Like Americana's only good track is Pretty fly(for a white guy). I really like this c.d's music quality and punk views. The album cover is art and by far the best cover, it would make a great shirt that I would invest in. The track I want you bad is my favorite and original prankster is cool. In fact why go through all the songs that I like since all of them are great. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Truth be told, since the blunted triumphs of their eponymous debut and 1993's Black Sunday, Cypress Hill have been in a steady creative tailspin. Tellingly, on this live disc, recorded at the legendary San Francisco venue, it's the trio's genuinely entertaining performances of early material such as "Real Estate" and "How I Could Just Kill a Man" that stand out. But the percussive accompaniment and fuzzy guitars the group draft to dress up the rest of their material simply make the proceedings repetitive and tiresome and obscure B-Real's distinctive whine and Muggs's production--the group's two greatest assets. Thankfully, there is a return to their most potent material toward the end, but it doesn't save this release from being a cursory footnote in their discography. For completists only. --Del F. 4-0 out of 5 stars SSSSSMokin!
Cypress Hill are like the Jimmy Buffetts of rap--they
may not be at the cutting edge of their game, but when playing live you know you're gonna have a great time. Rap bands have a bad reputation as far as live performances, and deservedly so. To this day, only three acts can deliver a 90-minute show that brings the house down--OutKast, KRS-One, and the Hill. Using the guitars accentuates the menace that could otherwise get lost in a concert setting. This has made me almost forget the studio versions of some of the songs. Excellente!
