4-0 out of 5 stars Chill CD
I purchased Bobby B's latest two CDs, Built From Scratch and Tsunami Bros, before buying this and the newer CDs just don't flow like this one. I was hesitant to pay money for this at first, but there are some really good quality beats. In fact, most of the beats don't sound very Kottonmouth. It's different, but very cool. Don't expect to find an amazing breakthrough artist like Abilities, but Bobby B's really good at sampling and this stuff is high quality.

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE BAD ASS CD!!
It's truly a shame that only one person has reviewed this CD. I cannot speak more highly of it. It is really an amazing piece of art- from beginning to end. Built from scratch is also good but 99 rips is better. DJ Bobby B is a genius as well as the other Kottonmouth Kings so if you're looking for some real genuine good music buy this CD.

5-0 out of 5 stars very nice
this is the debut album by dj bobby b of the kottonmouth kings on kmk's Suburban Noize label, for those unfamiliar. it's not hip-hop punk like kmk, it's dub/turntable music that he plays in dance clubs around LA and OC. that said, bobby b (b-dubb) puts out a nice cd with 99 rips beyond. guest vocals from the kmk tribe. fast, dynamic scratching and heavy bass beats. only recently i've gained interest in turntable music so i'm not an expert but i enjoyed. definitely buy this cd over his newest, built from scratch. there is too much rap and too little dub on that cd for me to enjoy. also check him out on the kmk cds, they all rock! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Dj Bobby B has Done it again
If you like the Suburban Noize artists and including Dj Bobby B, you will really LIke this album. This is Bobby B's second album and it is much better than any Dj That I have herd of in the california area. Dj Bobby B has been spinning the tables for almost a decade and he is a really good turnatbleist. If you are satisfied with this album which includes the Sub-Noize Tribe, Buy it before they go out of stock. The reason why I am saying that they might go out of stock is because many people who like him when he starts to become more popular in the Cali. area, his album will be flying off the charts of the underground nations. So if you want to know more info, go to www.suburbannoizerecords.com if amazon cannot contain the album from Dj Bobby B or the other artists from the record label, "SUBURBAN NOIZE RECORDS" But if you have any questions, you can contact me from aim which is taylorfeuer or you can email me at taylorfeuer@netscape.net Thank you and I hope you enjoY the Instrumental Journey by DJ BOBBY B

5-0 out of 5 stars The DJ that kicks all the others' ...!
This is the DJ of the Kottonmouth Kings on his 2nd Solo Album, the other being "99 rips beyond,...". There are lots of good tracks on here and Bobby B. don't eva let down. All of the guests on here are from the Suburban Noize Record group and include Corporate Avenger, The Judge, Kottonmouth Kings, Grand Vanacular, Kona Gold, and Dog Boy.
The Best tracks on here are "Underground Kids" which features KMK and The Judge. Awsome beats. The other standout is "Industry" feat. Johnny Richter. Some of the tracks are pretty short, but it's all good. The DJing makes up for it.
-Peace-

5-0 out of 5 stars Chock Full Of Stoner Goodness
DJ Bobby B is probably one of the most influencial and well known DJs of the west coast and most certainly the nation's underground.

DJ to the Kottonmouth Kings, he's certainly earned his krown. Known to be one of the biggest stoners in the world, he hits hard in his second solo album with reefer filled beats and tweaked out sound only the "elevation of de herb" can give you.

This entire album leaves your mind sticky with resin-like beats, drawn out to enwrap you into the music itself. Unlike too many strict DJs out there, Bobby B feels his work, loves his music and you can tell... he's all about being a DJ, you'll find no "look at me, I want to be a rapper too" choruses on this LP.

This album features many guest appearances to the likes of
*(Of Course) The Kottonmouth Kings & The Judge on the track "Underground Kids" which could have came off of any straight KMK album as a single, while the whole krew raps about their committed underground fame Bobby B throws it down heavy with beautiful bits of pop-culture thrown in;
*Johnny Richter (Kottonmouth King) on the track "Industry" which vibes through your speakers with a heavy backbeat and the deep socal drawl of Richter to mellow you out;
*Brad Daddy X (Kottonmouth King, Humble Gods) on the track "Men In Blue" (this is probably my favorite track of the album...) filled with the punk rock screams of Daddy X proclaiming the atrocity that is law enforcement that will linger through your mind all day long;
*Grand Vanacular shows up quite a bit; the list goes on.

So... go out and buy the damn record I assure you you'll love it no matter what your musical flavor... ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Kottonmouth Kings on the rise.. without airplay!
What can be said about kMk? Daddy X has put together another great group, just like the Humble Gods. Except with kMk being much more talented lyrically and musically. DJ Bobby B puts an amazing sound to the music. "Royal Highness" is there first album, "High Society" is a great and I mean great follow up album. WIth tracks on "R.H." like "Bump", "Spies", "What's Your Trip".. tracks like that to keep you moving. .. And the hip-hop based "Play On". This album covers it all.. except country.. haha. The hidden track[s], "Pimp Twist" and the "Bump [Remix] are also great tracks. "Pimp Twist" being one of my favorite kMk songs ever. For a suggestion.. go out an buy "Hidden Stash". A kMk CD with old school and un-released tracks. Including one featuring the infamous Johnny Richter.. the original kMk member. But Saint.. I send much love, and we miss you in the crew! Peace out stoners.

5-0 out of 5 stars kottonmouth kings are off the hook!
in my opinion i strongly feel that the kottonmouth kings cd royal highness, is so tight. it's punk rock, rap, reggae, and funk all put together to make a pimped out album. if you haven't tasted kmk's flava, then go check there cd out today. i promises you'll want to be down with the kmk klick as soon as you here one song. and if you like this record, check out there new one, hidden stash. then get kmk's infamous dj bobby b's new cd, 99 rips beyond. also try out too rude self titled album. too rude who is featured on a few songs on the royal highness cd, tears it up with his reggae sounds. i think that kottonmouth kings are the greatest and i really think that you will too. just check it out, and see for yourself!

2-0 out of 5 stars Was I really that stoned back then?
Recently re-discovered this album in a dusty old box, and gave it a spin for the first time in about five years. At first I was excited to visit old times, as I had bought this when I was 14-15 or so, and absolutely loved it. I'm 20, and it's just ridiculous garbage to me now. These guys are friggin' dorks. How is this turd of an album getting a higher overall star rating than the likes of De La Soul's "Stakes is High," or Redman's "Whut? Thee Album"? Malarkey.

After all of that, why was I so generous as to grace it with two stars? Because some of the production on one or two of the songs is actually pretty nice, like on Planet Budtron, and maybe a couple of others. If you had some decent emcees who weren't a bunch of jackasses rhyming over the beats, it might be a halfway decent album.

I literally use it as a mirror now, and I'm really not joking about that. I cut it into a smaller disc, and put rubber around the edges for finger comfort. It's a good mirror. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Kottonmouth Kings are the one-issue voters of hip-hop, eloquently answering the question of just how many ways a single crew can rap the praises of marijuana. Their second album, High Society, is as redolent of smoke as the stoners' van in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Over jumping electro-funk-rock tracks, the Kings celebrate the possibility of legalization ("Peace Not Greed"), home gardening ("Good as Gold"), the munchies ("Here We Go Again"), and even hazily mislaying a smoke ("The Joint"). 5-0 out of 5 stars Good Points on a good band
This cd is smokin'! I ain't kiddin either, cuz, 1) this cd has been in my player for almost 8 months now and still going,& 2)They like to rap about marijauna, which is cool. There beats are awsome, as is their rapping. Who else has 3 mc's (D-Loc, Johnny Richter, Daddy X), a DJ (DJ Bobby B), a drummer (Lou Dogg), and a psycho break dancer? I don't think any other group out there has this kind of a great cast. All the songs on this cd are cool, though my favorites are numbers 2, 6, 10, 16 (with ICP) and 19. Also, this cd is over 75 minutes long and never gets boring! If you like the songs on this cd, or for a little taste of the KMK music, check out take a bite outta rhyme, cuz they got a kick @$$ song on that disc too! Peace, and blaze on.

4-0 out of 5 stars Psychedelic Punk-Hop
Damn - theres a handfull of albums that I've come across in my life that completely astounded me and confused me well. When I first heard this cd, I couldn't really understand how sick it was. Sound and energy I had never heard before. Its that kind of feeling that wishes you had made it, or could have been a part of it. This album is very well produced, some may say too electronical, but I like progressive studio tricks. The energy is great and doesn't sound bland or soulless, like some overproduced electronic tracks. I do get tired of the same subject matter (weed), but i get passed it, paying more attention to style and delivery and blend. All the tracks don't receive a 10, but at least 12 do. I get excited when there are at least 3 or 4 great tracks on an album, but this one has 12. I could see hip-hop and electronic melodic ambient music merging real well in the mainstream. Hats off to this cd.

4-0 out of 5 stars Strong effort from the Kings
High Society showcases the Kottonmouth Kings during what i call their psychdelic period(this album and Rollin` Stone). It`s a very good album with plenty of bumping tracks like Day Dreamin` Fazes, Joint, Lottery, and King`s Blend(my favorite song on the album) that shows the Kings` great mix of hip hop, reggae and punk. The only negative about High Society is that the last 5 songs are no where as good as the other tracks. ... Read more

Editorial Review

The Kottonmouth Kings' output--five albums in five years--is enough to make you question their status as ganja-happy slackers. Where 2000's High Society covered their love for the weed from every angle, Hidden Stash, Vol. 2 gives us a Kings eager to self-mythologize their staying power and roots ("Welcome to the Suburbs" attempts a "Straight Outta Compton" for Orange County) while acknowledging a lack of new things to say about pot.

To be sure, this is still the same hip-hop-hardcore-reggae outfit that once snagged High Times' Band of the Year award. But on Hidden Stash, Vol. 2, the Kings seem more committed to their general outsider ethos than ever, with grass just the biggest staple in their diet. Still, those seeking green-thumb anthems won't be disappointed by "All About the Weed," "Grow Room Jam," and the pulsing "Family Trees." However, all but the terminally baked will question the wisdom of a Kottonmouth rewrite of the Geto Boys' rap-noir classic, "Mind Playing Tricks on Me." --Rickey Wright ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Taking it to a new level
KMK came out with Royal Highness and blew every stoners mind with their blend of funk, punk, rap, reggae and whatever other music they felt would better the album. High society took that to a higher level and blew KMK fans away once again. With Hidden Stash 2 out, The Stoner crew have proven themselves to everyone, once again taking their own sound to a newer level. Even though Saint Dog left, Johnny Richter more than fills in his shoes, he creates his own line of running shoes, sandles and flip flops. Each song blends wonderfully with the next song and keeps you wishing it was a double CD with twice as many dope tracks. Once again KMK never ceases to amaze their fans and disprove thier detractors.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best KmK album
My friend bought Hidden Stash 2, i wasent a big fan of kottonmouth kings, i used to have Royal Highness but was only able to find 2-3 songs i liked, and they died down on me quickly.
So my friend got Hidden Stash 2 and played "All About The Weed" and it was awesome. So i asked to borrow the album and i was amazed on how good it really is, wire to wire, just awesome.

Killa Kali-10/10 Great track, Judge is awesome and the flow and lyrics are greatness
Welcome to the suburbs-10/10 Great Chorus, great flows and good beats.
Tell Me Why?-5/10 one of the weaker songs on the album, but tolerable
Dyin Daze-8/10 Very fun song, and the beats go well with their flows and the punk rock parts are fun
Life rolls on-9/10, good melody, good chorus, good flows, definetly a must hear on the album
Paid Vacation-6/10 not to high on this song, but i ussually dont skip it when im listening to the album.
Things I Do-10/10 funny song, and music on the chorus is fun as hell and Richtor is awesome.
Bi-Polar-3/10 Definetly not feeling this song, this is one i skip most of the time
New Destinations-11/10 very trippy song, great melody, good beats, good flow, really has it all.
All About The Weed-10/10 song that got me curious about the album, so i love it and great flow and good chorus.
Family Tree-7/10 pretty good song, but i seem to always find myself forgetting about it, but good song.
On The Run-11/10 Maybe my favorite on the album, i love the reggae and the melody, chorus, and flows, top notch track, i just love it.
Mind Playing Tricks on me-9/10 cover song, nice job, like the lyrics kottonmouth threw in there.
Grow Room Jam-10/10 Just great, not really a song but caught my attention, very funny.

anyway, 5 stars, get this album

5-0 out of 5 stars Rollin' Stoned
Aahh. Finally the Kings return with the 4th full length album. 6 years later, less one orignal member, and they still know how to get down.

At first listen, several tracks off Rollin' Stoned share very few characteristics of previous works. Although the Kings keep their tag-teaming rhyme style throughout, several songs display a strong punk rock influence (Full Throttle, Zero Tolerance, Sub-Noize Rats just to name a few) which was almost non-existant on previous albums. The content of the Kings work has not changed, nor will it, hence the name, Kottonmouth Kings. The theme has stayed the same from day one, "live while you live," and smoke a lot of weed.

Personally, I feel as if this album shows how the group has matured musically over the past few years. Not only to the beats seem to be more technical thanks to Bobby B, but each member actually sings!

Also, this is the first Kottonmouth Kings album to use the 'interlude' feature the Kings very own old basketball coach.

To sum: The new album is great, although the style has seemed to change from hip-hop to more rock. For you devoted fans, give it time. Kick back and LISTEN to what these guys say. Don't let the new sound change your ideas about the group.

4-0 out of 5 stars Rollin' Into An Alternate Style...
The Kottonmouth Kings have always performed with many different types of styles in their music, and Rollin Stoned doesn't fork off from this idea at all. The band has sounded a bit different ever since vocalist Johnny Richter replaced Saint Viscious, and they have more of a "flowing" sound to them in a way. This CD has a different sound than other KMK albums, but I was expecting such before buying it, and now you should be too.

The disc starts out with a hard rap song, "Sleepers", which talks about the whole world sleeping on KMK's music. It's a good start and gets you into their voices. Another couple of hard songs are passed, with "Full Throttle" and "4-2-0". Stopping at 6 and 7 we see the album change into more of its true hidden sound: very positive and summertime/happy music. "Positive Vibes" describes this perfectly - lots of singing (mostly Richter) and rapping over a very good and light beat. Track 8 is called "Zero Tolerance" and I love this one... It's about having no tolerance for the rules and regulations of this country. A standard anti-law Kottonmouth song. Back to the light-heartedness, "Float Away" blasts us with another memorable happy chorus about music. Skipping a few tracks, we come to track 13, "Rest Of My Life" which is simply about smoking weed for the rest of their lives. It has a catchy tune and is an overall good song. From here on, a lot of the tracks are slightly harder than average, and some notable good ones are, "Strangez Dayz", "Tangerine Sky", and "Built To Last".

Overall this CD is a very good listen. Whether you're new to the Kings or a hardened Vet, you're probably going to at least like this new style. Still the same old KMK, yet evolutionized in a way. Most of the songs are worth listening to, with little fillers or tracks to skip.

Overall Rating: 90 / 100

5-0 out of 5 stars Lets roll and get stoned
Ok lemme just start off with this.. KMK IS DA BOMB! hehe

The Kottonmouth Kings knows how to tear things up on every c.d. they have. In my personal opinion, this is the best mix of beats I have ever heard come from them. They mix rap with punk, rock and mellow beats that will either get you jumpin or just relaxing to the rhythms.

On this c.d. there's a selection for all music lovers. "Tangerine Sky" is a mellow kick back song along with "positive vibes" and "rest of my life". Then you get the punk rock songs like "subnoise rats", "full throttle" and others. Then the rap selection like "4-2-0" and others. This is a great C.D. and I immediately urge you to buy it now. ... ok you people hidden stash is a rereleased cd
its not a new cd its the first cd they came out with EVER...
notice how saint dog (the lead singer with the heavy southern voice) is only in hidden stash and royal highness but non others becasue they kicked him out after those two cds and replaced him with johny richter... you people who say your "true fans" of the kmk and think that this is a new cd YOUR WRONG. your not a true fan if you dont know about sd... after saint was kicked out the kmk music just went down hill
yes they are still a good band but no your not a good fan if you actually think that hidden stash is a new cd!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars BIZONG! UR DONE
okay, first off, all u people saying "if u think this is a new release, you're not a kmk fan"...shut up...kmk and the rest of subnoize rats are always lookin for new fans no matter how much they know about their past...second u said that saint was replaced by richter...ACTUALLY richter was one of the first kings back when they were simply "kottonmouth", but he didn't appear on any of the first cd's. SECONDLY, saint wasn't "kicked out" thats just a rumor, he actually left because of "creative differences" ...meaning that kmk had more of a hip hop sound and he wanted a punk sound...he's in a punk band now with his brother "big hoss" which is under the suburbannoize label....if he was "kicked out" why the hell would he be under the kottonmouth king's own label...c'mon kid..do ur math....UR DONE! oh yeah, buy this cd, it rocks!
another classic HIT, which comes out soon...and tsunami brothers-king harbor, and "kings spade" feat. d-loc and johnny richter....keep a look out...and to all u TRUE subnoize rats out there...i think i heard a DONKEY!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Saint Dog is Crap!

    Editorial Review

Since many Limp Bizkit, Eminem, and Korn fans aren't hip to the original rap influences that informed the late-1990s rap-metal explosion, Take a Bite Outta Rhyme's intentions are honorable--have rock bands cover tunes by rap luminaries such as Public Enemy, LL Cool J, and Ice-T. But things go astray with Dynamite Hack's intentionally sappy reworking of Eazy-E's "Boys-n-the Hood," followed by weak efforts from the overhyped Insane Clown Posse, Bloodhound Gang, and Dope. Then there are unimpressive entries from Driver, Factory 81, and Mindless Self Indulgence. The best renditions are heavy ones: Staind's "Bring the Noise," Sevendust's "Going Back to Cali," and Nonpoint's "The Tribute," which salutes Slick Rick, Busta Rhymes, and the Wu-TangClan. Rap-rock has come a long way since Aerosmith and Run-D.M.C. did "Walk This Way" and Anthrax performed a duet with Public Enemy, but as this CD indicates, the genre hasn't necessarily arrived at a better place. --Katherine Turman ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A good sample of rock bands doing hip hop songs...
First off, I'll tell you why I only gave this cd 4 stars. I didn't like the Lordz of Brooklyn song and plus, I was disappointed that there wasn't more new material on here. Many of the songs have been previously released, some have even become hits-Dynamite Hack's cover of "Boyz In The Hood" for example. The Staind/Fred Durst cover of "Bring the Noise" is truly great. It's probably the hardest thing Fred's been involved in since $3 Bill. The Sevendust track, "Going Back To Cali" is another great one on here, and Morgan really shows his drumming skills on this. The Kottonmouth Kings song is pretty good, and sounds pretty much just like every other song they do. The song that steals the show here though is Nonpoint's medley of "Children's Story", "Woo Ha!" and "Method Man" - this song is available on their debut album, and it's such a great great cover-the band really makes it their own. If it weren't for the so-so fares of a couple of bands, this cd would've easily been 5 stars. I still say pick it up, because the Staind & Nonpoint songs make the purchase worth it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Tha Tribute...
This album, rare for alot of tribute albums, is actually pretty dope. I downloaded the track "Staind featuring Fred Durst and DJ Lethal of Limp Bizkit - Bring The Noise(Public Enemy/Anthrax cover)" and instantly I wanted this album. That song was only a part of this amazing CD. Dynamite Hack's Eazy-E cover of "Boyz-N-The Hood" is astounding. Its not heavy and loud, but has a nice acoustic guitar throughout the whole song. I guess you could call this a parody, but its my favorite track on the album. Insane Clown Posse(although a rap group) even appears. They do a cover of Sir-Mix-A-Lot's "Posse On Broadway". I'm a huge ICP fan and I think this track is alright but a little out of place on this album. Its still classic though. KMK, also known as the Kotton Mouth Kings, do a cover of the Getto Boys' classic, "Mind Playin' Tricks On Me". This song is awesome and is a great introduction to future KMK fans. Mindless Self Indulgence do a cover of Method Man's "Bring The Pain". This song is totally awesome if you like M.S.I. Factory 81, a band who I've never heard before, does the Cypress Hill hit, "Insane in the Brain". This song is okay, I like the screams but I don't think he has a good rap voice. =)> All in all, this album is awesome. I recommend it to the extreme rap/metal fans and even heavy metal fans. This is a great compilation...

5-0 out of 5 stars Suburban Noize Records Hits again!
From the same label as KOTTONMOUTH KINGS and PHUNK JUNKIES, comes MIX MOB. So Cal Drunks is a great cd, it mixes a mellow beat with rock. If you're a devoted fan to Kottonmouth, chances are you'll like this cd (not saying if you don't like the mob that you're any less of a KMK fan) but most of my friends and I love the cd!

5-0 out of 5 stars SoCal Drunks
There from Suburban Noize... There SoCal music... enough said? Mix Mob is real, there music is real... The Cd is real... hard to believe it's not a dream... Get the cd it's phat!

5-0 out of 5 stars A street scene review
recently caught the MIX MOB for the first time at San Diego's Street Scene 2002. I heard of them, but did not realize the magnitude of the diverse methods of approach. This new sound of electricfied dub, in a schooling of punk, which slamms the guitar riffs into funkfied bliss, driving the crunching tones of bass into your face, while torquing the pitch of double timed drumming, this band has shown their truely gifted mix of sounds ,driving me to slam into the wall, in a comlete groovealistic and Irie wave of So-Cals best new sound. much different i feel now and look foward to seeing this MixMob soon, and so should you too. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Phunky Phunky ...
I had a blast at their video taping of Bounce and had the opportunity to hear some of their other stuff! Love it! I'm having a hard time finding this one. Please re-release it! Phunk Junkeez are phantastic!

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Fun CD
This cd is just a blast to listen to. I have had it for over 3 years now and still love to listen to it. If you are easily offended you should not buy this cd though. This cd is totally a party cd or a cd that will help to put you in a good mood after a hard day. Just sit back listen and go crazy.

2-0 out of 5 stars lacks the funk
not as good as injected and fear of a wack planet but it is ok but not all that good. i think phunk junkeez got there sound rocking on injected but in this cd there sound isn't all that rockin. so buy injected first then buy this cd. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good times with Rap-Rock
Injected is an album that you can't take seriously, and that's a good thing. My personal favorite is 'Me 'n Yer Girl.' I roll around laughing every time I hear the song. It reminds of my frat boy college antics. The rest of the tracks continue with the all out house party theme. Although the Phunk Junkeez don't get as much air time as the 90s Rap-Rock bands as 311 or Rage Against the Machine, the Junkeez are just as polished and talented. If you like this style of music, you will like this album.

5-0 out of 5 stars crazy fun
i don't do this often, i see a lot of bands working in a national venue establishment. these guys rock, plain and simple. its one of those cds you have in the car, at home in the player, and one just in case one breaks or gets stolen...lost 2 to the ex's.

5-0 out of 5 stars full of hip hop and rock
This album is the best i have heard! Full of diferent sounds and styles for everyone. Hardcore rap on "CHUCK" or nice smooth punk on "people piss me off." Definatly worth listening to 24-7. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars a so so album
After listening to injected i thought this would be a good album. I was disapointed to hear that they have calmed down there flow with mellow pop. Songs like paranoid, party people, and million rappers are the best songs on this cd. If you are starting to get into the phunk junkeez get injected first then get this cd.

2-0 out of 5 stars PJ's struggle with 3rd output
The Phunk Junkeez have always been known for great music, and very energetic shows. I have seen them several times and they are still a great band, but this album was a big disappointment. The PJ's hard to find self titled debut is nothing short of a masterpiece, if a copy is ever available, snatch it up! This album fails to bring any notable songs, as it is a bit slower with an obvious void left by K-Tel. The one bright spot is the short but sweet song "Deadbeat".

5-0 out of 5 stars highly anticipated album that satisfies
awesome album if you like the junkeez. slow songs still aren't their bag but the pumped ones more than make up for it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great rap metal
Ah, the Phunk Junkeez at their finest hour! This album contains many underground tunes to bump in your trunk, from songs like "Short Term Memory Loss" "American Pimp" "Innovator" and "Strugglin'". This album also has a special appearance by Sen Dog of Cypress Hill, and that track is mad phat. This CD will leave rap metal/bubble gum icons like Fred Durst and Kid Rock crying back home!

5-0 out of 5 stars Junkeez rock
I have been a Junkeez fan for quite some time. This band never ceases to amaze me. Each cd that comes out gets better and better. I can't get enough of Sex Drugs and Rap 'N Roll. This CD is great for road trips. It is one of those that you don't have to skip songs on. Keep in mind that it is not for the faint at heart. If you are in to the rap and roll thing, this cd is for you. The Junkeez have been doing it for awhile and they just keep getting better and better.

5-0 out of 5 stars LIMP BIZKIT WISH THEY WERE THE PHUNK JUNKEEZ
So you like Limp F'n Bizkit? Why dont you stop letting your mommy dress you and listen to some real Trip Hop. Let me tell you this, if Fred Worst is the spokesman for our generation, then we are all totally f!?ked. Thank God for the Phunk Junkeez. As a fan since 95, I can say only Faith No More can even hold a candle to the PJ. These guys have been doing what all the "rap rock" bands ahve been trying to do since the late 80's. And Sex, Drugs, Rap and Roll once again proves that they are one of the few who can do it. Limp Bizkit be damned. Soulman could take Fred Worst to shool on sundays. The music these gus shell out doesn't ever get old. Then throw the smooth lyrics by Soulman and you have what becomes a trip hop masterpiece. These guys are the one of the last non-conformist bands around besides deftones, (hed)pe, tool and a select few others. And while PJ may not have much musicly in common with those bands, they, like the others, will never lay down for a quick buck. Buy this album. Buy this and Phunk Junkeez (self-titled debut), Injected and Fear of a Whack Planet. Buy them all, and then bask in the glory of a band who makes the music that all the main stream "rap rock" bands wish they could. Like Soulman says, "Even when I'm sleepin, I'm keepin it real..." ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great cd
Too Rude is a great cd. Too Rude is a long time friend of the Kottonmouth Kings and he apears on both of their cds. Too Rude (for my own good) is one of the best songs on here along with New Sheriff, Burn Kali, and Gun Shot. If you like a regea beat then you should like Too Rude.

5-0 out of 5 stars No more SubNoize for Too Rude?
I love this album. Gun Shot, Not Today, and Burn Kali are the best tracks on here. Not Today is really pretty catchy and all this music is just for maxin' and relaxin on a beach somewhere. Some reggea-ska-surf music, with a little punk equals feelgood music where ever you go. If you liked Dog's Life off the first Kottonmouth Kings cd, or On the Run on Hidden Stash 2, get this cd-it is the same type of music. Too bad Too Rude is not on SubNoize records anymore. Re-Invention is still supposed to come out on Vans records, so watch out for that stuff. Peace.

2-0 out of 5 stars dont buy this
i have this cd, i listened to it several times through, and came to the conclution that it was a waste of money. It sounds to me that the singer is trying to be someone else. he talks about being arested, smoking weed and things of this fashion so much and so un poeticly that it just sounds like an image push. The music arangements are good, but leave you wanting to tell the band that their not the wailers, and the singer should stop trying to sound like bob marley. Bottom line, take it if someone wants to give it to you,but dont spend money on it. learn from my mistake ... Read more

Hey guys, take my advice along with everyone else who wrote a review about these guys...they're awesome! They don't write songs that they think will sell, because then they would have wrote something like "Rollin'", but no, these guys write songs that mean something to them. Instead of just writing a song to please the public, they write songs to tell everyone exactly what they think. It doesn't hurt that they bring up some really, really, good points in their songs also. If you don't own this CD already, then buy Taxes Are Stealing AND The New Testament....and be sure to pick up a copy of their new CD hitting shelves July 4th called Freedom is a State of Mind. BUY THEM NOW!

5-0 out of 5 stars Talented political band who needs to be recognized
First off, if your expecting Corporate Avenger to sound like their Kottonmouth King buddies, you are in a world full of wrong. Corporate Avenger sings more about politcal issues. They seem like the only band who tells it like it is, and has the balls to do so. When it comes to christianity, listen to 20 Dollar Bill and see what I mean. Also unlike their label mates, they are more punk and techno then rap and rock. Which I think is really creative. I think you will be hearing more from these guys. With their outstanding and truthful message. Also, expect punk/techno to become the next big thing. If you like the band go out and get The New Testament immediatly.

5-0 out of 5 stars Gotta Be One Of Tha Best
Man, buyin' this CD has to be one of the smartest things I have ever done. In tha first place I figured this would be kinda like Kottonmouth Kings or (hed) p.e., I was wrong. The music isn't great, but that doesn't matter. the whole thing is just all political views that make sense, on stuff like pot, evolution, Christianity, and war. It is chock full of great lines like this one in $20 Bill (andrew jackson song) that says "when did love thy brother (or neighbor, i forget) become murder the children?" it is not rap or anything, but it is like high fast paced elctronic music with spoken vocals and power chords. the first review of this pretty much explains the whole thing well. every track is great, and this is an awesome CD. check suburban noize for more on the avenger. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars A Band With a Mission, A Band seeking the truth
Corporate Avenger is well worth every penny, I saw these guys along side kottonmouthkings at a small club in syracuse, It as well worth it...SEeing these guys live was one of hte best experiences ever. There Music is not Harsh at all..I dont know why fans say that of them..That is so mediiocre, These guys speek the truth reflecting to politics, organized religion, and many other factors relating to the world. They are for Legalization of (...), and They believe in piece, now that is being a good role model. The Message they send out is pure good, How we have significants and how we count in this halagram called reality. Meeting this man and seeing him at the end of the concert and talking for a while was great, I hope to speek to him again in hte near future because there are more questions i want to ask him. anyways, BUY THIS (...) CD!! ITS WELL WORTH IT! IF UR INTO THE TRUTH AND NOT THATOTHER ... EMINEM LIMP BIZKIT STUFF

5-0 out of 5 stars Life changing cd
All I can say is thanks to spike, the wind, the taxman, the 1605's, and anyone associated with this cd it changed my life still listen to it daily. Its a real shock to the music system and to your thought process on many diffrent topics from god to governement its all adressed. Thanks again Corporate Avenger hate to see what I would be if I never heard this album. Also If you can find it check out the video they did it was also very good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Positive message
It seems that noone has really touched the positive message that is the main goal of CA. The music is only "shocking" for those who are unaware or sleeping, but for those of us who have been aware from the start, it's a very refreshing and emotional album. The music itself is so so, in my opinion, but the message or lyrical content is what sticks out to me. I probably wouldn't like this group so much if I honestly felt that what they are doing is for "shock" value. They have a very positive message past all the offensive(offensive to some)lyrics. That message is to promote peace, and a free and loving society, government and world. Before I had ever heard this group, I was lost in all the confusion and hatred that held me back in my soul, life, and mind. I honestly vow, this group, with the positive message they enforce, have changed my life in this world and hopefully in the next. We are all children of the universe and the Creator, whether or not you believe in this is up to you. We are all blessed with this gift of life, use yours wisely.......after all this is your only one as far as you know. Peace to all of you. ... Read more
